Posted 12 years agoSo awesome news for me is I finally got a new job and I'll have a stable source of income. I'm honestly excited for it even though I'll probably hate it later (being fast food and all) but I'll take whatever I can get my paws on o wo
The great news is that my schedule may be only really amazing hours (I start on Tuesdays at 2 pm xD That's perfect for my demented sleep schedule), the pay may not be amazing but I don't care <3
In light of commissions, I'll still be doing them :3 I don't intend to pass them on and get rusty in art (I really would hate that) so no worries~

I announced a few months ago that I was recruiting for my Role Playing Game Paws of Genesis, and the group has been on downtime due to some heavy amount of life shit that's been bogging all over me, and here I am again, hoping a get a little better luck this time.

Also, I'm working on a follow up to my RP - RPG from last year. "Paws of Reverie". It will be titled "Paws of Genesis", being the third installment to the series. :3 The mythology is the same as the past 2 "games," but as per usual, the setting is different.
I've overhauled a lot of systems and stuff.
For those of you who don't know, Paws of Reverie was a anthro-RP group (art based, last year) that used a lot of video game elements. In fact, the primary focus of the RP was the game aspect. It played much like a forum style Dungeons and Dragons-esque game, with a dedicated stat system, dice rolls on the forums, crafting, a HUGE and growing database for all the information you'll ever need, and more.
The focus behind the Paws of... series is the afterlife. All characters are people who died in their previous life with much loose ends and mysteries, or an "incomplete life," so they are brought to a world where imagination is key to creation, and they must create a new society by working together in order to advance through, and even solve their own issues.
Tl;dr:
This is both an RP and a game at the same time, where you play as a character who is in their afterlife, attempting to win the "game" for a chance to be brought back to life.

Because this is a PRIVATE RP, I must INVITE you into the group before I can allow you to sign up in the forums and fill out a character sheet. These are the requirements that you need to fulfill before I can invite you:
1. Comment here with your interest, give a couple sentences on why you think you would enjoy this RPG and how much you could dedicate yourself to learning and playing it.
2. You have to be capable of decent English (no txt-speech and usage of decent grammar/punctuation "or ur typing s lik dis")
3. You are capable of READING, and take TIME to read RULES, EXPLANATIONS, TUTORIALS, THE DATABASE, etc. (A must for this RPG)
4. You MUST have a Skype account and USE it ACTIVELY.
5. You have SOME previous RPing experience (It could be one on one RPing experience, it could be RP Group experience, etc.)
6. You have to be capable of drawing your character OR know/have someone who can draw it for you.
7. You must not be in it just for yiffing it up with other characters.
8. You are capable of making a NEW character from scratch; you may NOT recycle other characters.
9. You can dedicate yourself to the RPG and are actually WILLING to RP with the current members.
10. You MUST be able to stay with the group through down times and out. This RPG is meant to be packed up when everyone becomes too busy to play and resumed when things are in the clear.
You are NOT allowed to ask to join again if you left the Skype group when I added you previously. If you left earlier without a legitimate reason or consultation, you have shown that you are not willing to stick with the group during downtimes. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If I pick you for this RP, I will note you the character sheet, which you can then fill out or give to an artist to draw your character for you. I will also link you the forums in case you forget where they are.

But seriously, I got my eye exam and as it turns out, I'm definitely gonna need glasses XD (Though I was pretty much expecting this)
The surprising part is that I apparently have different conditions on each eye o 3o;;
Apparently my left eye has astigmatism and my right eye is nearsighted (but its not nearly as bad as the astigmatism), so I'm getting myself a fresh pair of frames in a few weeks |3 I got the most minimalistic frames possible xD yaaay.
I'm probably gonna wear my Gunnars for playing games and DotA 2 though, despite getting the antireflective coating (unless of course, I forget....), but yeah. This is an interesting development.

Posted 13 years agoI feel like a lot of people don't seem to understand how to go about talking to me, and seem to miss a few points about me that are kind important for me to even begin to socialize. So I'm going to write this up so skype peeps and whatnot can go about actually picking up conversations with me and to get a little closer.
This is a bit of a guide to actually getting to know me a bit better and getting me to talk a little more. If it seems like I'm ranting, it's because this happens ALL the time and I'm trying to make things clear.
If you don't care, you don't need to read it. I will not hold it against you.
So first off,
What not to do....
-I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND, LETS TALK:
This is just plain rude. Friends are not made by asking (at least, not REAL ones), you have to work your way up there. Please do not ever ask to be my friend. It will happen or it won't happen, only fate can tell.
- Sup. Not much, you? Not much either. Ah.: Everyone does this. It does not accomplish anything besides telling me you're bored and just want to see if I'll start a conversation up.
- <STATUS UPDATE> #Twitterfeed :
I'm not your twitter account. I'm not your status page. I do not need an update on every single thing you eat, do, watch, play, or whatnot. THAT'S WHAT SOCIAL NETWORKS ARE FOR. It doesn't make a difference to me whether or not you're suddenly eating cereal, if you want to start a conversation up, telling me something you just did that's not really noteworthy or unusual is not the way to go,

Randomly nuzzling, cuddling my tail, licking me, or whatever is not going to start a conversation. Doesn't mean I won't like it and won't respond, but its not a conversation starter.
- SUDDENLY, RP :
Bad idea. I might be busy or I don't even fucking know what's going on. I don't RP with everyone on short notice. And I am accustomed to RPing certain things. Always ask or signal before opening up one or you might be disappointed.

It is IMPORTANT to know these things about me:

- I AM AN INTROVERT. I'm not antisocial, but people talking to me left and right drains me out.
- I usually don't to talk unless talked to.
- I make friends off of common, strong interests. Keep that in mind. Games usually aren't enough.
- I hate feeling useless. Telling me things about you that I have no ability to do anything about will usually put me in a bad mood too.
- I'm not twitter.
- I AM TAKEN. If you put your dirty paws somewhere it shouldn't be, I will take my rusty blade out and--
- Most of my open RP Oc's are open for whatever though... yes, you are allowed to molest Drina. e we

- I suck, but I try not to: I play A LOT of different games, so I am not the best at everything. If I feed like a noob in DotA 2, remember that I also play borderlands, torchlight, CoD, WarZ, DayZ, GW2 .... (long list of games) at the same time :\
- Did I mention I hop from game to game a lot?
- Don't tell me to play X or Y if I don't have it, unless you plan on generously donating the game to me :3 I don't have enough money to play everything I want :<
- I don't give a shit on how much you think CoD or any other game I play sucks. I just play for fun, and if that's what the game is, then so be it. Me as an RPer:
- I don't paragraph RP.
- I usually RP life and character interaction, I'm not much of an action guy.
- I don't paragraph RP.

- I don't paragraph RP. Nor do I have the patience for it.
- I am uncomfortable RPing smutty stuff with my OCs, but doesn't mean I won't do it. Just keep that in mind if my characters do something awkward.
- I have a Furry-Yuri RP circle going on right now. Private stoofs.
- No. You cannot kill my characters (because you want to). Your murder is non-canon, and makes no sense canonically to my characters.
- I have my own, wide and open canon that revolves around a modern, Earth-like setting with magic in the mix. It's not too complicated, just ask for the details. I love to RP in my own canon or hybrid/merged canons.
- I don't fanbase RP. (i.e. using commercial franchise characters)
- It's better to RP with me using a separate character than your own fursona. Its a little less awkward to me. Not a necessity, but good to know.
- Stop. Countering. My damn. Magic. I do it for shared fun
- I do best with random settings and a proposed situation, rather than a whole storyline. My RPs work more like a slice of life anime than anything else.
- I use emotes in my RP posts. It adds character to my characters.
- I don't paragraph RP.

- I don't fanbase RP. (i.e. using commercial franchise characters)
- It's better to RP with me using a separate character than your own fursona. Its a little less awkward to me. Not a necessity, but good to know.

- I do best with random settings and a proposed situation, rather than a whole storyline. My RPs work more like a slice of life anime than anything else.
- I use emotes in my RP posts. It adds character to my characters.

Posted 13 years agoThe following journal is emotionally loaded, and if you don't like downer stuff, just ignore it. I normally don't like to do journals like this, but I feel its necessary that a certain someone close to me understands, and everyone else give me a bit of leniency
My life is just a cycle of very few highs and nearly endless valleys of lows. Family members who don't understand. Misfortunes around every corner. And me and my love caught in between. I can't seem to have anything in this life without something just crumbling all over me.
For endless bounds of time, I find myself in bottomless pits of despair, while still trying to pull together a facade to maintain what very little sociability I have left. I am judged. I am confronted. I am spoken against. I have no opinion whatsoever, regardless. In the end, I just end up back in the valley despite any efforts I make to do so.
I admit, I have my emotions jump ahead of me sometimes, and words come out that are deeply suppressed under attempts to smile. I am not perfect, nor do I wish to be held up to a standard that wishes me to be so. I especially will not hold up to a standard that others hold up for me because they believe it is what is best for me. I am not what others want me to be, and I refuse to be if they will impose values that I see no reason to believe unless I have learned on my own. In such case, I would see for my own eyes what is indeed good for me, but only when its necessary, would I change my opinions.
If I don't connect now, people can't expect me to connect by prodding me with their beliefs and opinions, when in the end, all they want is their own thing. I am selfish, but so is every other sentient being. That is the nature of all people and living organism: we may work together to obtain a greater goal, but we're still going after a goal for our own reasons, using our own means.
Its hard to balance a life between work and self fulfillment. Its harder to balance a life between what others want, what I want, and what I need.
In the end, everything I struggle for is for naught, despite what people wish to believe, and until I actually find freedom from this never ending cycle, I will never be a freed bird, or I should say, freed dogfox from the cage of expectations of even life itself.

I'm gonna try to get some money to help pay for a tablet pc so I can improve my productivity >:3 I should be paid 300 later sometime soon in the month, but it won't be enough. I might be getting an additional 100 somewhere else, but in the mean time, I need some extra money to fill in the gap! My goal is on the front page and is $520 (though it might go down if I get a good deal.) I'm thinking on getting my hands on a Fujitsu t730 over my original plans for a WACOM Cintiq, and I don't mind a used one either. What I've learned from research is that the difference between 1048 and 256 levels of pressure sensitivity only makes a difference if you're some kinda fancy person with fancy hands xD but as long as there's pressure sensitivity it works for me! Sai is a powerful program that can make a lot work with very little sensitivity.
Once I get this, I'll be able to work on commissions outside of home and get some progress on my webcomic :'D yay~ So hopefully I get to that~

Posted 13 years agoThanks for all those who wished me luck on Tuesday :33 it seemed to come in pieces as I encountered one issue after another, but now my PC is back and better than ever >:3 Sporting a new 3.4 Ghz Phenom II x4 and a brand new motherboard X3
It turns out the CPU WAS the issue from the beginning, which is a relief. Unfortunately we ended up getting a CPU incompatible with my old motherboard so now I'm owing someone 50 bucks Dx Damn! But on the bright side, I'm back o 7 o
I'll take time to put up my offers on commissions later today, as I've been up all night trying to get this thing to work ; w ; I won't be able to work on pictures yet, as I want to catch up on some things I've been missing (mein gott I missed the 3 day headstart for GW2 Q A Q) , but I will get to commissions around the weekends!
In other news, I may start offering nsfw commissions soon as I'm kinda getting desperate for cash xD but don't expect too much from me, I still have my limits!
Anyways, I gotta spend the rest of my time installing stuff, so I'll catch you all soon :3

We've replaced the motherboard and brought in new RAM just in case....it still has not fixed the problem :I
Our final guess is that it's the CPU, and if that doesn't fix anything, I'm stuck with a pile of parts only good for selling off or recycling. *sigh* I hate how the worst things happen whenever possible.
Anyways my CPU upgrade should be coming in on wednesday (Upgrading from 2.8 to 3.4 GHz if it fixes the problem) and if that fixes things, I'll be doing some catching up and stuff. I'll be working on a pic for my mate on thursday, and hopefully I'll have WIPs for commissioners on Friday :33
Hoping for the best! If it is only the cpu that's broken, I can use my old motherboard and return the parts I bought, putting me back on track with my money goal ^ w ^

Anyways, some bad news is that I'm set back an additional 50 bucks or so...so now I need even more for my Cintiq... orz I had to pay for some supplies I needed out of pocket. On the bright side, I have some neat pens and shit to work with now <_>
My current goal is now 365. I was also set back another additional 50 due to the pc... and if the graphics card isn't the cause of my problems (as my uncle thinks, he's the one who ordered with my money...) then I am going to go (more) insane.
If that refurbished cintiq is gone before I make enough money, I will flip tables and baww in a corner ; w ; lets pray to Yevon it doesn't go!
Anyways, that is a huge amount of money. Any help I can get would be appreciated. I can't do commissions until my pc is working again, aside from my 7 dollar sketch pages :3 I will definetely be doing sales and special offers once my pc is working again ; 7 ;

Posted 13 years agoMy pc has been broken for the last week and a half...working on getting it fixed :I God, nothing I have works as it should...I always end up with broken secondhand stuff <_> It probably broke when I shipped it out...fuck, I wish I coulda had it driven over here ;_;
We're testing to see if the graphics card is what's causing it to not show anything on screen (I still believe its the motherboard despite tech expert advice and repairman words). If it is, my pc should be in working condition by the end of next week.
Hopefully I can get that fixed before the end of next week.... GW2 beta is coming up...and stuff.
When I get back, I'm also gonna be shooting for a goal of $210 of commissions money, so I'll be doing some sales and the goal breaker prizes again. This 210 will be used to help me order my Wacom Cintiq 12wx. I'll settle for a refurbished one, as I have 550 backed on me and theres one on Ebay for about ~760 total.
Guarantees, when I get my hands on that Cintiq, there will be a freebies stream, and the person who helped me get over the goal will have the honor of being the first to have their pic done on the new tablet >:3
In other news, I was considering doing my first NSFW commissions in the form of prepose pics of more than 2 people :33
Basically, I wanna do something like
kami-chan does and have some kind of Nsfw sketch with numbered slots on each character. Instead of auctioning for the positions like Kami does, I'll probably just do a flat rate price on each slot xD Once all the slots are taken, I'll do an official pic in full, softshaded color. :'D fun~!

I'm so tired from the flight XD it was such a hassle to get back ;_; our flight got delayed for 2 hours AFTER we got onto the plane...then we ended up having to stay in New Jersey overnight (I just stayed in the airport instead of taking the hotel since it was too much of a hassle -_-)

In other news, I'll be moving soon though, taking a flight over to Colorado on the 7th o 3 o I plan on keeping my pc unpacked until the day before, so I can continue working on things I need to take care of.
Also, I'm working on a follow up to my RP - RPG from last year. "Paws of Reverie". It will be titled "Paws of Genesis", being the third installment to the series. :3 The mythology is the same as the past 2 "games," but as per usual, the setting is different.
I've overhauled a lot of systems and stuff.
For those of you who don't know, Paws of Reverie was a anthro-RP group (art based, last year) that used a lot of video game elements. In fact, the primary focus of the RP was the game aspect. It played much like a forum style Dungeons and Dragons-esque game, with a dedicated stat system, dice rolls on the forums, crafting, a HUGE and growing database for all the information you'll ever need, and more.
The focus behind the Paws of... series is the afterlife. All characters are people who died in their previous life with much loose ends and mysteries, or an "incomplete life," so they are brought to a world where imagination is key to creation, and they must create a new society by working together in order to advance through, and even solve their own issues.
Heres an example of an RP from the previous one:

Paws of Genesis has a new forum and a bunch of new features and additions over Paws of Reverie. In addition, you will not need to be an artist to join (however, you still need a decently drawn picture of your character for the official application sheet once it's released, meaning if you can't draw, you may need someone else to draw for you).
The Roleplaying in this group is rather casual, due to the fact that it helps advance battles and plot quicker in the pace of a game :3 We don't often use paragraph-text style RPing, but you're more than welcome to if you prefer.
We also have a skype chat for most of our out of battle RPing.
Currently, Paws of Genesis is a PRIVATE RP, meaning that you can only be invited in. It is like this because it allows the RP to pick up at anytime if it dies off due to exams, work schedules, seasons, holidays, etc. I am willing to give out invitations on the following grounds:
1. Comment here with your interest
2. You are capable of decent English (no txt-speech and usage of decent grammar/punctuation "or ur typing s lik dis")
3. You are capable of READING, and take time to read rules, tutorials, explanations, etc. (A must for this RPG)
4. You have a Skype account and use it.
5. You have previous RPing experience
6. You are capable of drawing your character OR know someone who can draw it for you.
7. You are not just in it for yiffing it up with other characters.
8. You are capable of making a NEW character from scratch; you may NOT recycle other characters.
9. You can dedicate yourself to the RPG.
If you satisfy these conditions, I will send you an invitation via note or skype and tell you what you need to do. :33
