Small update on "The Rematch" 3D VR video
Posted 2 years agoI updated the "The Rematch" stereoscopic 3D video (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52386270/) to include a limited color range (aka broadcast safe) version of the video as I noticed that the dark colors were not being shown correctly on other devices. I had the render PCVR set to Full color range which showed the dark colors as intended and I didn't notice until I played it back on a new HMD. Oops!
If you have already viewed the 3D 360 PNGs manually, you may skip this as those are the highest quality renders at the moment.
Enjoy!

Wrapping up 2022
Posted 2 years ago2022 is finally coming to an end soon, not that great of a year honestly but at least most of the artwork is uploaded now save for a few reference sheet variations that I probably just put a quick link to avoid spamming everyone's inbox.
Hopefully things will look up next year and especially more 3D from myself now that I finally gotten everything properly upgraded on the PC. Hopefully I don't get stuck on ideas again as I have a large list of incomplete scenes, each of them with considerable time put into.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year's in advance. Stay safe and don't walk into the maws of hungry dragons and wolfesses... without making sure you douse yourself in some sauce that is. :P

Small status update
Posted 4 years agoJust a little status update since it has been a while since the last one!
Postings have been slow for a while since I haven't been able to make anything I consider significantly finished despite spending plenty of time tinkering and tweaking way too many different models and scenes.
Every time I get a scene roughly blocked out and some initial pieces in place, I get interrupted by another side idea with another character and spend way too much time on that instead. Oops!
Oh well, can't blame that dragons are greedy and want everything though. Hopefully I would get around to actually finishing some of these scenes... especially those based around time sensitive memes, but we shall see.

GPU back online
Posted 4 years agoFinally gotten a replacement set of fans for the GPU, saving me from the king's ransom for the price of a new GPU that barely has enough futureproof RAM!
The fans weren't new, judging from the wear pattern on their label, but they work and I only needed one from the set of 2 so I have another spare if it somehow decides to fail again.
Hopefully this means I can get back to work on some more stuff. I made some simple upgrades and tweaks for some scenes on my old hardware I was working with earlier so at least there's some small progress on that front.
Now hopefully the high core count CPU market stabilizes itself soon for that side of the upgrade...

Out of Mana
Posted 4 years agoWhelp, things haven't been progressing well since that last 3D image set. It's thankfully just annoyances compared to the life threatening virus circulating outside but this is going to put a dent in progress.
Firstly, I have been running dry of mental 'clicks' to expand the few ideas I have. As such, I've been instead been doing mostly maintenance updates while researching new stuff, but there hasn't been anything substantial on the "Let's get this done" out tray. This is getting to be quite a road block that I hope I be able to fix once I get a hang of new tricks in Blender 2.92.
Secondly, the entire TO THE MOON prices of all modern PC parts pretty much halted my plans to upgrade this quarter for proper simulations and shorter render times. It was bad enough in terms of supply back in Q4 2020 but now it is both lack of supply and everyone rising prices to profit off the demand. A 5900X that costs more than a 3950X which already has gone up in price? Oops. It's also bonkers that my old GPU I bought two years ago now now sell for more than the price I paid for it! The lack of VRAM headroom on most of Nvidia's lineup except for RTX 3090 is also a huge stumbling block in my appetite to upgrade, 8 GB is already pushing the borderline on some scenes for 8K VR resolution and I doubt 10 GB would last that long without needing another upgrade. As this is really more of a side hobby than an actual livelihood, I simply can't justify spending that money to give Jensen an extra layer of cryptocurrency DOGE fur coat on his jacket.
And lastly as if Jensen had planned for it all along, one of my GPU fans is having some issues. Thank goodness there's a replacement part for it available from Aliexpress but for now I'm going to have to limit GPU usage to reduce damage until that part arrives, which is probably going to take between a month or more. I might get smaller snippets done but don't expect much, my current CPU nowhere near the render capability of my GPU. I'm also probably going to buy a few other smaller upgrades to keep this old workhorse chugging along for a bit more. I had intended to retire it for a secondary render machine this quarter but looks like it's going to last much longer than that. Sigh.
TLDR: It's going to be while before there be more substantial 3D stuff posted here.
Now pass me all the Ether.

Jeyeff is open for 3D model commissions [CLOSED]
Posted 5 years agoThis is a signal boost
jeyeff who is currently open for 3D model commissions to get funds to upgrade his laptop.
If you seen my profile pic and some of the models I have on this profile, you know how great his models are! So if you are in the market looking for a 3D model of your own, do check out his page over at: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/jeyeff/

Looking for reference sheet artists (Found!)
Posted 5 years agoI have managed to snag a slot from
akuva to complete this reference sheet. Thank you all for the suggestions though, I still have them in mind for other characters.
===
This is a bit of a long shot, but for my watches, would anyone have recommendations for reference sheet artists, especially one who can do some simple fantasy clothing design?
I'm been trying for a while to complete the mage clothing design here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35982246/ (originally by
docwolph) with a proper rear view but I seem to be coming short on finding someone to take on the reference sheet commissions for this. There's probably a bit of concept brainstorming needed to figure out how everywhere attaches on the rear so I'm a little nervous about it.
So if you know someone who is good with that, post it up here and I take a peek!

One last major art dump for 2019
Posted 5 years agoMaking a last major upload for 2019 with select 3D artwork and some fun commissions I picked up over the past couple of months.
Hope every one enjoys them and have good New Year.

Submission errors (7/22)
Posted 6 years agoIs Furaffinity facing some upload issues? I never had upload issues before and only the only the first upload made it tonight without trouble and the rest kept redirecting to cloudflare.
Sorry folks, will have to wait to share the rest of the series and artwork until this is resolved.

3D renders
Posted 6 years agoI have been playing with Blender 2.8 Beta for fun and messing around with the new EEVEE rasterization render engine. Being able to render quick snapshots in less than a minute vs waiting for hours is a really handy for kitbashing silly macro scenes I have in my mind. Its lighting engine and flexibility is also way better than Sizebox, which while great for real time interaction, has limited lighting capabilities.
I'm debating whether to post these silly macro Sizebox and Blender images here or should have I have a separate dedicated account to show off these renders. Most of them are not of my characters and are an eclectic mix of silly ideas and learning new concepts as I go along.
Thoughts?

One last update for 2018
Posted 6 years agoWell, 2018 is coming to an end and over the past few months, I have managed to get a small amount of interesting stuff that I be posting here shortly.
I would also like to take the opportunity to start posting material on a secondary character I have been slowly building up over the year: Asria Wolf, a really Big and Bad Wolfess. I hope you all enjoy her antics as much as I have.
Have a good end of the year holidays and remember to donate all your gold to your local macro dragoness... or else!

One year update
Posted 7 years agoI didn't realize it has been roughly a year since I uploaded anything anything here. :O
Time to fix that! Still if you want to see artwork posted earlier, I typically fav artworks of Issy posted by the artists first to give them the attention. Keep your eye out open on that section!
