Hey guys. Just a little question here. When inquireing about comissions that the comissioner has ABSOLUTELY no interest in doing, what kind of response do you get? I'd like to compare the different types of responses, and what might be considered offensive to most people. I have two people I've asked for comissions from. One of which responses with a two letter, rather rude remark, considering how nice I was in the note to her. And the other pretty much ignorned me completely.

Now that would be a fine response if I was ONLY inquireing for a comission. But I wasn't. I Was trying to introduce myself to this guy, and start a freindly conversation, which make his response... Well... Rude. How do you ignore EVERYTHING else I said? What a douchebag. The guy later called me a retard for no reason in a chat. NO REASON. Obviously, this made me send another note asking why he was treating me like shit. His response?

Pure. Fucking. Asshole. Plain and simple. Obviously at that point I developed a vendetta against this guy and successfully drove his ass our of our group. HE turned out to be a scumbag beyond scumbags.


But here's another artist with another type of response.. And before you look at the back and forth, I want you to read her profile.

Okay. Really? Do you blame me for thinking shes just likes being an asshole.. She convinded me by her profile alone. XD I mean really. Do you blame me for then telling her to fuck off? Was is too much to ask to just write "no sorry, Im not into that? :)" She said i shouldnt take offense to her being blunt. Well why the fuck not? In a few more words she could of totally NOT have been offensive in any way.

And to further my uh, feelings on this, the only reason I'm making this journal is cause she had to nerve to post our discussion on her page.
So obviously... What's a guy to do? Perhaps I fell into the trap of reading her profile though. Had I not, i probably would not have responded the way I did. What can I say, she convinced me she was a grade A asshole and should be treated as one XD


Obviously her fans thought I was the asshole. incorrectily thinking I was just pissed off cause she rejected my commission, which couldnt be farther then the truth.It was more so of me saying "what goes around, comes around"

Oh and while I DISPISE the first arist, I don't hate the second artist at all. I havent blocked her, or done anything, even with her posting the journal and me being called an asshole. I just think she should work on being more polite, cause with that journal, pretty much everything she says could be taken as "oh shes just being a bitch." even when she isnt.

Anywho, just wanted to say im excited about the warm weather. always makes me feel... err.. "happier". The winter was hardly a good time for me. The weather is depressed, and so am I. But now with the warm will come happier...times? THEN i'll finish up the three comissions i have left. I mean, I feel horrible about never working on them but, uh, given my current legal situation, its kinda... not at the forefront of my mind on things to worry about. XD BUT THEY WILL GET DONE.

My area was hit was probably the worst storm i've ever witnessed. 70 mph winds tore through my town making a WRECK of it. There was 300,000 people on Long Island without power. I was one of them, however, we had a backup generator so we were able to avoid the darkness. The rest of my neighborhood wasnt so lucky.

Trees fell ALL OVER my town, blocking roads. Getting around was a nightmare. Streets I've been traveling on since I was born were completely destroyed. All the traffic lights were out as well, and some houses were ripped down to their bare studs. Luckily our own home substained NO damage, and looking around my town, it's pretty clear how unbelievably lucky we are.

Really it looked like something out of a movie. I would of liked to have gotten some pictures of my town, but they cleaned it up too fast. But I was able to get 15 or so pictures of my immediate area. The downed tree is literally 100 feet from my front door. The FDNY firefighters I caught with my camera were walking ON MY FRONT LAWN when the pictures were taken. This is how close I was to the destruction.

To get a good idea of how dark it was on the ground, one picture shows it pretty well. The Damn night sky was BRIGHTER then the damn ground.

ive just about finished the line art on nzz s comission.. and i found socoms interesting so i started pose sketches on that.. and mustel, ive been practicing simba, and hopefully will shit out something decent with him soon. also once again im sorry i havent been working but, like a select few of you know, ive hit a roadblockl in my life, and its caused and immense amount of stress and depression. if i cannot complete these, ill distribute refunds accordingly.

also, i dunno if ill be doing them in the order i recieveds them either.. im just gonna do what im in the mood to do.. more will get done that way

Okay, I got all the adobe programs reinstalled and I did some work on one today. Unfortunetly, the two that I had started (Torin's and Nzz's) were deleted when my computer broke. HOWEVER -- All was not lost, as I remembered that I had taken screenshots to show both those people previews, and imageshack still had them as active. So I'm happy to say I just finished retraceing all of Torin's comission and I'm almost back to were I was before. That being said, the status remains:

UPDATE: I'm back where I was.

My new computer has arrived and it's a monster. It's an Alienware m17x, quad core, Nividea 260 GTX...

And it's a laptop!


Unfortunetly, I have limited access to it... But I am currently installed Adobe Master Collection cs4.. so right after that's done, I should be able to finish up comissions!

And yeah, something big did happen in my life which has no resolution in sight... Even though I know the resolution will not be something I'm looking foward to.. But don't worry about it.. Even though I currently have limited computer access, I'll work whenever I can!

Speaking of comissions, I need to call someone out here.

is an artist i comissioned back in febuary. He's yet to show me a SKETCH of what he's done. Okay, I may be slow, but at least I update with progress as I go along. In fact, being slow isn't what's bothering me, It's been so long I've since lost interest in the comission and have asked repeatedly for a refund, which he has DENIED.. Who the.. You can't not do the comission and deny my refund request! That's not how it works, SN. What's funny is that I've comissioned him multiple times and he's been decent up until now which makes his treatment of me even odder. I mean, how do you treat a good customer like this? He's needs a lesson or two in business. Oh and whevener I try to im him he either ignores me, OR... replys with remarks a 4 year old with down syndrome would make.

Example:

<45 minutes later>

SN: I like clouds!

So don't comission unless you like being treated like a moron, and feel like throwing money away.

An event has occurred which has caused me to longer have a computer. This means I will not be able to work on commissions for some time. If working on them becomes an impossibility that cannot be resolved, then obviously refunds will be distributed.

I've been updating more often lately, been in the mood to draw lately too. As you all know, I'm ALWAYS open for comissions bareing real life work, so obviously ill be very slow <,< but id still love to hear your ideas =D

So has anyone seen any movies lately? any good? I'ts been so hot here, all i wanna do is stay inside or go to a movie >.> ... And only a month left till graduate school starts.. bleh.

Hey everyone!

How goes your summers?

Well, things have been alright here. It's been kinda chilly but its recently warmed up to summer temperatures.. Its been in the 80s-90s now consistently! But It's cool, cause I got my central air running.. *points at Ishoka and laughs =D* *builds a snowman in living room*

Anyway I've been working a lot on an upcoming project for AT&T so drawing is, as usual, slow. I just started working on another comission today... I'm kinda forceing myself to finish the few I have. Plus, these days, I DO need the money, cause while I AM working on large projects, I'm just not working on them ENOUGH. The hours are very very limited these days.

Oh! I got another trip planned too! In january I'm going to Jamaice with 3 friends! I should be a lot of fun!

In other news, I got an email from MTV. They want to interview me for a computer graphics position! I think that's just awesome. I need to contact them about it tomorrow after work. How awesome would it be if I got a designer/animator position for them?

Other then that, stuffs been the same. I'm still 24, living in New York, and single and looking! =D

Well, finally it's come to this. 20,000!

Thanks a lot everyone, even though 20,000 in 4 years is still pretty horrible... XD I know I don't post EVER.. But I think I have a pretty good excuse.. Which I will now explain along with a little update in my life.

I graduated college with a BA in Computer Graphics in May. I've just been accepted to Graduate school! Hopefully, once the second school which I applied to gets back to me, I can make a desicion for which school to attend. Man So much other stuff has happened.. What else... Besides collecting a shitload of money for my graduation, I also got a job as lead graphic designer at a corporation near New York City where I still work today. ..

I ALSO.. *takes a deep breath* was invited to give a conession speach at my old high school graduation.. Which was quite an honor. You really don't know the feeling of getting a standing ovation after a speech until you experience it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is things are going okay.. I've gone on a bit of a comissioning frenzy... So I now owe a few hundred dollars to people in comission money... XD Oh well. >.>

Myself though, I still have... i guess I can say 1 and a half. And while I really dont need to take comissions, I'm still open to ideas.

Hey! Tomorrows the first day of summer! And the weather here HAS BEEN SHIT. IT's been in the 60s with rain rain rain rain rain for the PAST 4 WEEKS STRAIGHT. I feel like I'm growing mold on me. Something is not right here...

Anyway its been going ok.. I have been more stressed out then i have ever been in my life the past 2 weeks leading up to my graduation. I think ill go for my masters after this, but boy, if it gets HARDER, i dunno if i can make it. I've been working on serveral projects for the past few months, includeing a proposal for clearview cinema and an animation proposal, so ive just been pulling my hair out in fustration. So if I've been out of character or unusually short of paitence with people the past few weeks, its not cause ive turned into an asshole, its just that shit. lol.
As for art. Yes. People repeat it to me over and over. I need to draw more. I know this, I know this. I KNOW THIS. My "popularity" has suffered greatly from the lack of production, but you know, i just.. dont have the will or time to sit down and draw porn all day like most of you. Maybe its just me, I dont know, but id rather put together a killer animation proposal for my portfolio then sit and draw porn all day. Am I wrong? Maybe I am.

My birthday is coming up, so, those people ive done favors for in the past, espeically if his name starts with an 8.. May 21st. MAY 21st. Actually, besides a new batter for my laptop and a couple games, i dont really have much else i want...

I still got... 3 commissions to do, you people know who you are, I would update my comission section, but FA being the poorly run peice of shit it is, its still down and not working. I don't see myself getting to it till mid may, so just hold on there people!

18,000! nice even number... Anyway how are you guys doing? been busy? I know I have. I got TWO more classes left until I graduate. TWO. I will offically have two degrees in fine arts. I think that's an accomplishment personally... Of course then I have to work for the rest of my life... I dunno, I hope I end up doing something I like >.>; I still feel I want to get into design or animation. Though something I wonder if I am good enough to compete. I guess every artist doubts himself now and then.

I just finshed playing my chirstmas games.. All of them.. A few of them I did not like much at all.. Alone in the Dark was complete garbage.. And I had such large hopes for that game... Also FryCry 2.. Who the hell thinks games like that are good ideas? No real goal, no sense of progression.. No nothing.. Just a series of backtracking over and over and over in one limited enviorment. who the hell finds that fun?

I'll tell you what games were good though. Silent Hill: homecoming i just beat. It was a lot of fun... Though the last boss was a total joke. Reistance 2 was fucking awesome as well. I cant wait till feb 10th, as Im getting FEAR 2 which looks AMAZING.. I also want to get the L4D pc version as it has people online I want to play with >.>

Anyway I might be contemplateing comissions if you have an idea I like.. Run it by me. I'm gonna be a nice cheap whore for you all if I like your idea! =D

Anyway, New York? It's cold... 18 degrees right at this second... I cannot wait until the spring comes. Though I'm seeing first early signs of spring.. For instance, chirping birds in the morning! =D ... I love birds! Speaking of them, I'm developing a story for a proposal.. A proposal for an animation.. This could be a big chance!

Well it's been a tough semester, but only a couple more weeks and I'M DONE. I don't know what I'll be doing this winter break, as I no longer have the job I've had since the summer. I'll need to get a new one... Oh, and I suppose you want to hear about my trip to Italy also. Man it was fun. Though I know i gained weight from it >.> I mean, how can you not gain weight from eating nothing but pizza and pasta for 9 straight days! And man, the food portions were MUCH smaller then here in America. No wonder we are so fat >.>; But the culture and history was astounding. Michaelangelo was the man!

Oh and merry christmas/ happy haunakka to all! I hope you have great holidays, and I also hope you guys had great thanksgivings! If yours were half as crazy as mine, then you should be proud... Man so much stuff coming up! Especially New Years! I'm trying to get a trip together with friends to go up to the moutains and get a cabin to celebrate new years in... But knowing my freinds, it probably wont happen..

Anyway back to art. Yeah, I started having a thing for those "tough" disney characters.. You know. Ronno.. Vitani... Well.. Those are the only two I can think of at the moment, so I guess I'll leave it at that. XD But you know they just seem like, the type of characters who wouldnt mind...being...ontop? :P

Anyway, I don't know where I am going with this, but hopefully it will inspire me to draw more art. I'm also happy a lot of you liked my Ronno picture. :) I might make it an animation :D
