lifes been.. well ya know life.

gonna get back to doing some catch up on uploads and posting things from my first time ever doing art fight.

I wish I could have done more but I'm slow when it comes to art and still struggle with things.

I did make new friends though and got obsessed with their characters. XD

I'm getting hounded and teased by friends that I ONLY have scaled DND characters. It doesn't help that folks around me have a lot of scaled characters too I like to draw. XD

realized I need to start trying to do other species again. I don't feel like making new characters as I practice and build up more work of non scales in my folder so *points at you and makes grabby hands* throw refs at me so I have things to practice with.

From the many years ago I put any art at all on here to now. Looking at the few of the most recent things i've done with my fav character I just started putting up and then... just wow. I haven't even been drawing consistently. It's all been big spurts and big gaps and even then it looks like i've made progress just enjoying myself.

Actually kinda proud seeing it. I'm sure the art program I got as a gift a few x-mas's ago is helpful too and I can see the biggest change around there now that i look. It's been very helpful in many ways plus its smoother to use than the other stuff I used to jump in between.

I had been THINKING about talking the anxiety crushing jump over the 'start comms' fence finally but its still terrifying. I've done them for people I know but strangers make my chest hurt way more.

Maybe I should start trying to figure out some kind of pricing. heck i've even been messing with gifs.

Outside of that I have a TON to upload. From very old, i look back on it now and cringe work, to 'maybe I'm actually getting better'. I have a habit of stopping drawing for long spans though. Prob doesn't do me any good. ><

So I started working at a medical call center and I've been drained as hell through training. I haven't had time to work on anything nor the mental capacity after work to do it. I miss arting. ;-; 5 weeks of training then 2 on the floor of y-jacking. Was hired on for the hardest project they have. (It's not really hard for me it's rated as the hardest hence why I get paid more) wouldn't be so bad if I was on my anxiety meds and not having to fight with the ex husband about legal matters he's responsible for and dodging around. Because of him I now have a large medical insurance fine and still can't get the meds I need to calm the hell down. Dealing with him and having breakdowns in the morning before I need to leave before work..... is not helpful.

So the second root canal has been finished and crowns go on on the 16th. ow ow owpain. Actually overall I feel soooooo much better. Still in dire need of work to put towards my new dental debt. Speaking of which....

my computer was being a whore and was just wiped. Getting everything up and running again. Will start setting up sai and my wacom up tomorrow.

In some happy news... my armature 9 FINALLY ARRIVED! I ordered it before all this crap went down during a MASSIVE sale. can't wait to put it to use.

Might have a possible job! I'll know by Tues but just in case I need to change my sleep schedule for it. So here I am wishing for my bed with nothing to keep my brain busy. Post character refs on this journal for me to practice with and keep the juices flowing. All SFW unless you ask for something different. any ideas with your characters are welcome as well. I'll post any art/doodles/etc and link you in them. Free stuff for you and something to focus on instead of head desking asleep for me!!

Had a root canal a few days ago and was informed a second one would be coming up. The worst part of it is I JUST finished my divorce 2 months ago which means I have ZERO insurance. (ex is supposed to provide it but he has't yet.) Now I'm looking at around 4k of debt because of medical crap on top of the rest of my troubles. Job hunting has still turned up nothing. the rejections range from overqualified to just barely not enough. Finally broke down and applied for unemployment. Waiting to see if that's approved. In the meantime I'm going to open myself to commissions to specifically put back money to help with my medical bills. any little bit will help. ( a tad hard atm because my pain meds make it difficult to really focus) The prices will be modest since I myself am still a work in progress.
