I've got it tentatively penciled into my schedule, but between how much the trip was, me missing out on work, how much time and effort I need to spend on my writing, how meh the con itself was, and a few other problems both at the con and potentially in the future, it's probably not gonna happen. We'll have to see. Sorry to disappoint folks. And for those surprised by this, I almost canceled going to this year's RF a few times due to problems.

I used to believe I'd never find anyone special, due to all of my problems. I literally thought it was impossible. And I'd accepted that I'd be alone, and I was glad for the friends I made. Then a lot happened. And now I don't want to be alone, I want someone who makes me feel special and like I'm not hopeless. But I still don't think I can ever find someone who'll accept me for who I am and love me in that special way. And it hurts.

As of right now, I am open for story commissions. I’ve never done this before, so I’m gonna try a few things and see how they work for everyone, okay? Please read this journal carefully, as I’m laying out all of my rules/process here for you.

I am opening up three slots. If you’d like me to write you a story, leave a comment here, I’ll give you a slot, and I’ll send you a note to get things started: we’ll use that note chain to keep things organized. We’ll discuss your idea that way, and come up with something we both like, and work out all the details, including length, characters, and stuff like that. There are some things I may or may not be comfortable with, and I will try to work as best as I can with you, but some subject matters will be either of limits or limited: I’m still working on a list of those things.

In general, I am okay with fantasy/sci-fi, diaper stuff, porn, violence, cutesy things, and a bunch of other stuff. I’m also cool with diaper-usage and associated things. I won’t do rape stories or stuff like that, and I probably won’t involve Jay or any of my characters in anything sexual.

I’ll be charging ten dollars ($10 USD) PER thousand words, but I won’t charge extra if I go over the agreed-upon length. Once we’ve agreed on everything, I’m going to ask for half of the pay up-front via Paypal, and then I’ll get to work on your story: ideally everyone’s story should only take two or three days and everyone’s should be done within the week, but we’re in uncharted territory here so it may take a bit longer, and I will keep you appraised of anything that’s getting in the way of my schedule. I may also send you ideas (or you can send me ideas) and we’ll see if we can work them in. Once it’s done, I’ll run the last draft past you, you can suggest any (minor) changes you’d like to have done, and then I’ll have you pay the rest of the commission price (and if you shouldd want to drop a tip for a starving artist in appreciation of the story, I wouldn’t complain…), and then I will post the story and send you both a word and a text document so you can upload it as you see fit.

Stories may or may not be worked on in the order they were commissioned, and there may be other projects I am working on at the same time, but I will not open commissions again until the three stories are done and posted. If for some reason I get a lot of interest, I’ll make a waiting list for anyone else who comments, and they’ll get to be first next time I open up if they still want one. Also, if you would for some reason like your story to remain anonymous, I’m open to that too. Just send me a note privately and I’ll work with you.

Well, hopefully that all works for everyone. While I’m willing to do a lot of lengths, for my first commission round let’s try and keep it in the 5000 word range at maximum, okay? ;)

Second, I will soon have more time available for my artistic endeavors, and I've spent a month working on background stuff for some of my stories. But does this mean for you guys? Well, first, it means I'll soon be working on actually writing/posting stories again, as well as I'm going to try to get back into drawing, but it also means that I'll be opening commissions really soon!

It really really is. And it's wonderful what's happened, and it's wonderful what it changes. We've come so very far in not a very long time at all.

But there's still a lot to be done. There's a lot of bad history to still work through. A lot of attitudes have to be changed, a lot of people will still try to hurt and hinder everyone, and there are a lot of countries and places where it's still not safe to be anything other than a straight cisgender person. We still have to look out for each other, we still have to keep fighting, because you know that the people who don't like this aren't going to take this lying down. And we must never forget that this isn't just about gay marriage, this is about marriage for everyone, between two consenting adults, and their rights. This isn't about gay marriage, this is about marriage equality. Heck, this isn't even about marriage equality, it's about equality, period. And we haven't "won" yet, so we cannot give up. Yesterday was a very important step, but we still have a long journey ahead. And we cannot leave anyone else behind. This isn't just about gay rights, this is rights for trans, bi, a, pan, and yes, even straight people. It's also about people of different nationalities, different ethnic backgrounds, even different political backgrounds. We need to make the world safe for everyone. Never forget that, and don't let anyone else forget that.
