So I'm a raccoon now. Chitter chitter muthafucka!

Wow, it's been awhile since I made a journal here. Though to be honest I'm never very good at updating this like this.

Anyways! So big changes for me this year. I moved from North Carolina to Michigan to live with my boyfriend of the last 2 years,  nightflurry. I've never lived outside of North Carolina so this will be an adventure for me but as long as Flurry is with me I'm sure that I can get through just about anything.

I'll miss my family, all the friends that I've made in NC and the familiarity of home but I'm also excited to make new friends and memories and a life here. But that doesn't mean that I don't love all my friends and family back home.

But new things are on the way and look forward to meeting them.

Hope you guys are all enjoying your holiday! I'm really thankful to have friends like you guys! I look back on where I was 4 or 5 years ago and see how much I've changed and how much more social I've become and I owe a lot of that to you guys. I really love you guys, thanks for everything~!

Guess I should make one of these, Tuesday night Lupine, Kal, Peli and I were in a car accident. A driver ran a red light and collided with the passenger side door as we where turning. I was sitting in the front passenger side seat and it took the brunt of the impact.

I went to the doctor to make sure everything is OK, I'm sore and stiff which is understandable, the worst of it luckily just being my right arm being sprained and not having full use of it and my knee has been bothering me. So I'm on pain pills and muscle relaxants. It could all have been a lot worse, at the speed he was traveling it should have killed me or at least caused major injury. Dunno if you guys believe in miracles or not but there was an angel on my shoulder that night.

It really has me think about stuff honestly. Really has me reevaluating things...

I know it's sad that I'm posting this in an FA journal, but I need a place to let out how I'm feeling right now. So if you don't want to read my whining here is the warning so you don't have to deal with it.

I really want to be a better person, want my life to be something worthwhile. But damn it all if something doesn't show up right in front of me every time and tear open the wounds I've tried so hard to heal and set me back in my emotional growth. I want to be a happier person but my mind tends to dwell on things that I can't help nor can I change.

Every time I think I've made any progress something happens and it all evaporates and I'm left feeling just as bad as before and I'm sick of it.

So Nabisco/Oreo released an Oreo design in support of gay pride. This is something I don't see often, a large company standing up for ideals that go against what society considers the norm and to mention an issue that has been a hot and controversial political topic for sometime. It's really impressed me.

But of course with do something like this they've opened themselves up to ridicule. Already less-open minded people have called for a boycott of not just Oreos but all Nabisco products.

One person had to say, "Not buying Oreos anymore, gotta stand up for what I believe in."

This is also a person that become irate when people openly criticize her for her views. The hypocrisy of it all is enough to make me sick.

Standing up for what you believe in, that's what Nabisco/Oreo is doing. They opened up the floodgates and they knew what they what would happen...and yet, they did it anyway. Whether or not you support gay rights, its still very respectable thing to do. I may not agree with the people that say they hate gays, I may think that they need someone to open their eyes and show them the flawed thought process they have, but I still respect people that stand by their ideals.

Everyone just needs to calm down and eat a cookie.

As some already know, last night I was in a car accident. I figure I'd save time and just tell those of you that wanted to know the details of the accident, on here instead of repeating myself over and over. (I HATE having to repeat myself. x3 )

I was coming home from a friends house pretty late, I live in the middle of nowhere so there are forests on either side of the road. We have a very high deer population in the area and about 2 or 3 of them ran out into the road in front of me.

Being tired and not thinking as clearly as I usually do when this sort of thing happens, I swerved to miss them on the rain slick roads, my worn tires couldn't get a grip and spun around a couple of times before slamming the driver side of the car into a bunch of trees.

I lost my glasses and the only light anywhere being from the flickering headlights.I felt around in my limited state of mobility until I found my phone. My service was terrible...I was lucky enough to get a call out to my dad, who rushed out to help me.

We called the State Trooper and an EMT. Trooper checked the scene while the EMT checked me. I filled out the paperwork and was sent on my way.

My car was totaled, I completely snapped the front axle and who knows what it looked like under the hood. Had the point of impact been 2 feet further back I wouldn't be here right now, but luckily I escaped with only bump to the head, some very slight bruising and being sore.

I got so many calls, Twitter mentions, and texts that I teared up. You guys mean a lot to me and I love you all so much thank you!

2010 was a year of firsts for me. I was not an easy year by any means but you have to take the good with the bad, and I've had plenty of both.Though I'd rather focus on the good things. This was the year that I fully immersed myself in the furry fandom and really felt free with my sexuality and I honestly think that I'm better for it.

I attended my first furry convention this year, Anthrocon. Though I've been told that having AC be my first con is like "losing your virginity in a gang rape", but I'm glad I went. I met one of my closest friends in person for the first time there, Singing Penguin, and made a lot of other new friends that I'm very lucky to have gotten to know.

I actually got to travel some this year. I flew to Pittsburgh, PA. My first time ever on an airplane. I took a Odyssey of a road trip with a very interesting wolf, Lupine Silvertail,to MFF. Though the hours were long and the weather less than agreeable, I enjoyed myself. Made new friends at MFF that I hope to see more of this year.

And possibly the most important thing to me this year was meeting so many beautiful and amazing people via Twitter. It's funny I never honestly thought that I could consider people that I haven't even met in person as some of my closest friends and I may even go so far as to say family. But here I am thinking just that. I love you guys, you've made a remarkable difference in my life whether you realize it or not. <3

So this coming year, I hope to attend as many cons as I can and to meet as many of you guys as I can and for those I have met I want to get to know you better.
