Due to unfortunate circumstances I will no longer be able to attend MFM. Though, it's not like I had a ride anyway, I was a bit uncomfortable with the idea of riding with someone I didn't know anyway. I hate those awkward silences and a car ride that was just one big one? Not my idea of fun. Though I am sad that I won't get to see some of my new friends.

I am still going to MFF, though. I like traveling to new places and hope to make a habit of it. Meeting new furs and going to cons has just been a wonderful experience for me so far. Plus, any chance to hang with is one I'm gonna take! Also, I'm really hoping to drag a certain kitty along for the ride. *cough* *cough*

Well, I've decided to attend MFF this year with my beloved comrade  singingpenguin! It gives me another chance to escape my life for a bit and do something I always wanted to do actually travel! Plus, I get to hang with one of the most awesome birds evah!

I'd also love to go to MFM and hang with my new friends  Brine and Crusader Cat, and make more awesome furry friends.

However, I'd need a ride to MFM so I'm trying to find someone in NC to carpool with that is trustworthy and won't mind the fact that I'm very quiet and shy.

So far I've only ever been to two conventions. Animazement, an anime convention in NC and Anthrocon, in PA. I want to go to more conventions. However, I'm not sure which ones to go to. I'd like to keep all of my choices on the east coast or at least close to it.

So far I've considered MFF, FWA and maybe even Furry Fiesta. Problem is if I go I will need someone there that I know, that doesn't mind me being a clingy second shadow that is too nervous to stray too far. I was practically glued to 's side all of AC.

But suggestions would be appreciated!

When I first got my dA account I was online on it all the time, but overtime I've kinda drifted from most of my deviantArt comrades, and now that I actually have more than one friend on here I've been warming up to this site more.

I'm not really an artist (closest thing to that is some of my poetry which isn't very good), but I love the social aspect of these kinda sites. I feel I can express myself more openly on the web than in RL.

I'm a note-whore so anyone is free to contact me if they wanna talk about something! I likes attentions, so don't be shy! Just please have something to talk about because I'm not very good at starting conversations myself!

The first day of AC,  hold0041 and I went up to the rooftop of the convention center. It offered a beautiful view of Pittsburgh and not to mention the "trippy blue lights" that are actually scrolling text, it was an awesome experience.

The next morning, however, the rooftop was closed off to AC attendees because some genius decided to do something monumentally dangerous and monumentally stupid. This effectively ruined it for everyone else for the rest of the con.

However, thanks to Uncle Kage's silver-tongue, he has convinced the DLCC that a repeat incident will not occur. So next year the rooftop will be accessible to AC attendees but at a price. The DLCC wants their security to keep watch on the roof and AC has to fit the bill.

So I guess we will have to pay for rooftop access next year, but it's worth it.

I've picked out a fursuit designer:  kodipup and his price is certainly reasonable from what limited knowledge about fursuits I have.

But the thing is I have to save a good deal of money to actually buy this suit, and all I have is my meager little retail job. And being an untalented fox I have no art skills that could help provide more income.

Despite that it is very possible for me to save up enough for not only the suit but for a decent sized budget for the next AC too, however I'm a frivolous spender and need assistance in curbing my urges to online shop...

When I first left for AC I had a plan all made up for what I wanted to do. But a little penguin told me that one shouldn't plan a con. Which ended up to be true, all of my planning went to shit and I ended up attending only one thing on my list. I ended up spending my time hanging out with other furs and I wouldn't have it any other way. I met some really wonderful people and I think that was the best part of it all.

You guys made the trip a grand experience that broke me out of a stress-filled rut that I've been stuck in this last year. Four days is hardly enough to really get to know people, but its a snapshot into their lives that you know that you were a part of. I hope to all the great people I met I left at little bit of an impression and hopefully a good one.
