Usually to find me saying very right winged politics, saying the US is stupid for their 2nd amendment and telling gays they are going to hell, as well as many other stupid shit that gets a few people pissed off.
To let you all know, and understand, I am here with a small statement to let you all know about this.
My comments and tweets on Twitter most of the time are just taking the piss out of something. Very rarely do I actually mean what I say.
It is there to troll people who are stupid enough to believe it. Because in this day and age of the internet, nothing is more funny than seeing someone react to something when it had no meaning in the first place.
Take the "anti gay stance" I sometimes put up. MOST OF MY FRIENDS ARE GAY... Do you really think I would say shit like that and mean it when I have that friendship with others? Even more so in this fandom? If you actually look, I am taking the piss with my friends too. Not just anyone.
I don't care if you are straight, gay, bi or one of the 100 other types.
My philosophy in life is that if it does not affect me, I don't care what you do.
I might not think it is the 'correct' thing (again, I am right winged) but when it does not do anything to me then please, go fuck what ever you like.

FURSTRE.AM is going to have a big overhaul soon (very close to finishing the code) and with this I am getting the devs to then work on an events system.
This system is designed for convention streams and large shows like PawPets, UncleKage etc. It will allow very customisable stream pages, multiple cameras, stream recordings, multiple bitrates and an updating feed that includes information from the stream. Like social interaction, timetable, recordings from streams and a few other bits.
So with regards to CFz, I really want to use it with this event so want to help out with the video crew to do this.
One thing I want to get for next year's con is a roving camera. This is a camera that can go throughout the convention area to capture video and send it back to the mixing desk, as well as to the internet.
This means we would need to create a small yet powerful WiFi network throughout the con area (main stage, event rooms, bar and social area etc) so we can stream video from camera to the mixing desk and internet.
The great thing about this is that it can be used for other things like playback of the stream, either on mobiles/laptops or even displays throughout the con area. It can also support other projects like the information displays that might be created and the convention app.
I just want to get feedback with this idea and to make sure I am not overthinking things. I am not trying to make the con all digital, but just to be able to create this small project to link digital projects together to help the convention.

The last 48 hours....

I went around to next door, only brought back one parcel.
Went around again just to check, got abuse shouted at me.
Called Amazon to check that 2 parcels had in fact been delivered, they said yes and told me who accepted them (next door).
Checked CCTV, can see 2 parcels being dropped off.
Call mate at PoliceHQ who knows them (ongoing problems) and told them they had 1 hour to give me the package before they came around.
10 mins later, dude comes around and gives me the package.
Straight away started on me, threatened to "drop" me...
Took the package inside to see that it had been re-tapped (really badly done).
Checked the other package and that too had been tampered with.
4 items missing from first package, did not open the other.
Mum called police...
The next day, police come over and we open the parcel to find half of it missing.
They go around and ask, they say they don't have anything.
Accuse us of setting them up...
Police then come back with warrant, arrest them and search the property.
They find all but one thing....
One of them (with a <5 year old) then goes out to retrieve the item (probably taken the day before by another lad we captured on CCTV).
Dude gets taken away for questioning.
She comes back, not with the stuff.
Dude says he did not see any screw drivers (with all the lies he has told, I doubt that).
He admits to taking the other things, will be in court net month. Will only be ANOTHER thing on his record.
Me now down £5, waiting to get the other stuff from the Police.
Moral of story, criminal justice system don't punish criminals and does not help or support the people hurt by them.

How to PayPal
General | Posted 11 years agoSo a lot of stuff is going around as usual as people are blaming PayPal for refunds and artists having their accounts stopped etc
Here is a simple guide to using PayPal for both parties.
Artist;
-Don't get your commissioner's to just send you money! Create the invoice and invoice them, you are a professional, act like it!
-You are not sending a final product via the post? Then it is a service and not "goods". "Goods" are for physical objects!
-Don't take money if you know you can't give the commissioner what they want in a timely manner!
(this happens way to much in this community and it is horrid. If you are in such need of money that you are happy to take 100s of commissions each month but can only realistically do 20 then you need to reconsider what you are doing in life. If you live on the edge of being broke then the full time being an artist is NOT for you yet as you can't support yourself. Don't rely on people to just give you money and then forget about their commission 2 months later. That is criminal!)
-Have a terms of agreement with your commissioner.
-Need a new upgrade for your PC. touch interface? Then buy one out of your reserve and then fill that reserve right back up or crowdfund it.
-Manage your money. Every 2 weeks open your accounting software and enter in what you spend and what you take in. Great way to see how much you make and it is free > https://www.waveapps.com/
-Don't be a dick. Seriously! Too many people take the piss like they own the place. You are just selling a service. If you scam people or treat them like shit then piss off. No one wants that here...

-Too good to be true? Use your head...
-Is this artist good a bad rep? Probably don't want to commission them then!
(Way to many people commission artist who again and again prove that they are incompetent. Look at their shouts and that should give you a good indication to if they are taking commissions and not doing them. That and Artist Beware)
-Set out an agreement with the artist so that you don't get stung.
(Have it in writing somewhere authentication like eMail, or even better in the PayPal invoice! Set down that the artist will complete your work within a set time like 30-45 days. If they don't they are to refund you/refund if not then completed within 7 days. There is a refund rule on PayPal. Don't wait till the day before to bring it up that you have not got the arts yet!)
-Just use common sense!
PayPal is a great tool for exchanging money for services and goods. But you can't think that it will favour you because you bought something or sold something.
Read the rules and abide by them
Don't be a dick and don't be a fool. People will take your money and run. So research them. Keep in contact with them and agree when work will be done so you have leverage if it comes to it.

Will have about 25 sets for my shop at the end of the month!
They take a while to make each one but will be really nice in any suit with light fur.
I hope I can sell a load of them. Big commitment to be able to get the parts. I was only able to buy in bulk for the lights, cables and some battery holders.

New product idea! Need input from fursuiters!

Got a new idea today for something I would like to build and sell as a product on my store, if you have not been on my store yet then http://jacktail.co.uk/shop/
So this new product is for fursuiters.
It will be a Fursuit head cooling and sweat removal stand.
You will pop your fursuit head onto it, it is based off a Mannequin and turn it on.
An internal powerful fan will then blow a lot of air through holes in the top of the head to cool down the head and make the sweat evaporate.
Resulting in a cool, damp free suit.
The product will be built to a high quality standard. It will plug into the mains (AC outlet) and include a on/off switch.
It will be waited down with a heavy think rubber on the bottom of the Mannequin. This will reduce vibrations and stop it from falling over.
The holes in the head will be designed to target specific areas within the head that get damper than the others, but will also have a wide spread to still cool the other areas.
You will also be able to use it as a Fursuit head stand when it is not in use. Keeps your head nice and clear from sitting on dusty surfaces and the fur getting matted.

Plans for 2015 meets and cons
General | Posted 11 years agoSo 2015 is the year of being social.. Well trying to.
That means I am going to go to a meet! And my second convention if I can.
The meet I am going to go to is the January Mini Manchester meet.
I hope to get to see a old friend who went to CFz2013 with me.
Also want to meet a load of other people who I have chatted with over the last few years.
Depending on how well that meet goes I might then go to CFz2015!
Last time was not that good... Being very new to the fandom, not knowing anyone and still thinking it is a weird thing (still do though...) it was hard to be social with people. That and being not a very social person means I spent most of it alone taking photos. Still fun though don't get me wrong.
So yea I am close to being able to afford to go, though Fursuit funds will probably diminish that :P
Back to the meets though. The Manc one will be the only one for a while.
Hockey commitments means that most if not all my Saturdays are taken up with matches during the season.
So only Jan and May I will be able to go before the con. So should be okay if I enjoy myself...

Well I guess it could be worse...

New server I spent 2 weeks working on and failing heavily is constantly being blocked by the host because their network is stupidly setup causing them to think my server is attacking their switch.
FURSTRE.AM's server is going to get the plugged pulled today, was meant to be switched over to this new one by now.
FurSocial keeps crashing
I am still a fat fuck with no social life
Missed out on some new gear for hockey
Nose has inflated as there is irritation under the skin
And I am quitting Uni as I can't do 2 of the 3 modules on my course as you have to be intellectual to do them, something I am not in this subject.
So if you want a camera operator with fuck all experience or a sysadmin who can't even sort out basic shit then I am your man!
I also have my own van! That I can't drive as I don't have a licence yet...
Feel like jumping off a bridge.... I might go do it tbh
