Jade Flare, at your service.

My parents said when I was born, they were stricken by how bright green my eyes were, so they named me Jade because of it. Flare was after my father.

It never ends, does it? Every so often I wake up to a journal from an artist that's strangely full of venom and bitterness towards FA and it's fanbase, and then extends that hatred towards the Furry Fandom as a whole. And in almost every case, there's no context given for why the sudden bad feelings.

At least that whole retardedness regarding that one guy who was alledgedly a rapist being an FA staff member had context, even if the context was everyone retardedly being vague. But in these cases, there's nothing. The person was more or less fine, if a bit cold towards their FA fanbase, but then all of a sudden there's a huge amount of venom and contempt.

Seriously, if you're so emotionally invested in being a furry that you behave like this just because you've had a bad day, grow up and get a hobby outside of being a furry.

My journal feed suddenly filled up with childish drama about a bunch of people abandoning FA for some reason. I guess I missed something good.

So I played an english translation of Morenatsu for the first time today. I don't know if all the routes are like this, but I played the Kouya route and...holy crap, the feels.

Seriously, the story runs like Katawa Shoujo but with slightly worse dialogue (considering the game is translated from Japanese) and graphic gay furry sex.

But wow, I got some major feels. I highly recommend it, if you can find an up-to-date translation.

So, my dad woke me up at five this morning to tell me that my favorite childhood dog had died during the night (the elderly pug I mentioned in a journal last year), probably from a pulmonary embolism. So, I spent the pre-dawn hours mixed between shock, grieving for her, comforting my distraught mother (she was the one the dog was bonded too) and helping my dad dig a grave in the backyard. Not a pleasant morning.

We new this day was coming. Her health had been steadliy deteriorating over the last year, so we'd figured she probably wouldn't live through 2012. But still, no-one can ever be truly ready for something like this to happen.

I'm fine, though. Heartbroken, but I know she had a good life and she passed away quickly and easily with the master she loved. So I don't have any regrets.

RIP Puggy-Sue (2001-2012) We'll miss you.
