Survey for New Anaconda Babe OC [Last reminder]
Posted 3 years agoHi everyone!
I am still compiling responses for my new anaconda babe OC (you can find her here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50021599/)
This is a final reminder for those who've not filled it. It takes less than a minute, and there are only two questions. This survey is totally optional!

Again, this survey is to help me get an idea for her backstory. Any response will be greatly appreciated <3

Survey for New Anaconda Babe OC (THIS TIME ON GOOGLE FORM...
Posted 3 years agoHi again everyone,
This is a follow-up to this journal: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10396622/
Apparently, Survey Monkey wouldn't let see more than 10 responses because I'm required to pay a monthly subscription fee of $59 SGD a month.
As such, here's the survey again, this time on Google Forms:
For those who've already taken the survey, could I trouble you to take the survey again?
For those who haven't done this survey, this is pertaining to my new Anaconda Babe seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50021599/. Basically, I want to know what kind of nationality she might be, as well as what letter her given name should start with.
I swear, the last time I used Survey Monkey several years ago, it was free. XD
Best,

Royalty Fees for AI Art?
Posted 3 years agoI'm no IT expert, and I'm writing this with a tinfoil hat, so please don't go ham on me for sounding dumb >:3c
I was wondering, why not charge royalty fees by having laws that force AI companies to always give credit and source all the images it copies from? So if an AI image sources 60 images made by humans, then all 60 of them should be given royalties.
Blockchain technology can then be used to keep track of royalties for AI art being generated by other AI art, being generated by other AI art etc etc.
This idea has many flaws, and I know some of you will go all out telling me hundreds of things why it might not work, don't worry I've already accepted I'm not the best person for this field XD
Note: I'm really not a fan of AI generated art and would prefer handcrafted art over AI ones annnnytime of the day.

More art coming, and Kedran's getting a model!
Posted 3 years agoSo far, life's been okay. Sometimes there have been busy weeks, and other times it's pretty free. I've been building my own website for my own personal worldbuilding projects, as well as contemplating what sort of art I want to get in the future. It's been a month since I've uploaded anything, but trust me, the arts will be coming!
Also, Kedran is getting a 3d blender model from
f-euphrates ^^

REMINDER — STRAWPOLL: OCs would you like to see more of...
Posted 3 years agoHey all, this is just a reminder from my previous post: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10316810/ regarding a straw poll on what OCs you'd like to see next.
I'm posting this reminder for time zone purposes (since the original one was made 12 hours ago at a rather no-so-ideal time imo). I want to be able to get as many responses as possible; the more the merrier! ^^

STRAWPOLL: Which of my OCs would you like to see more of?
Posted 3 years agoI'm setting aside money for commissions again and I'd like to get a consensus on what OC my watchers are interested to see in the coming months. This isn't a binding poll, but this would give me some direction as to what OCs I should get next (since I do get quite indecisive with all these OCs).
This is multiple choice. Feel free to vote as many OCs as you like.

New Passport - Business Travel Plans - New OCs?
Posted 3 years agoMy old passport was expiring in a couple of months, so I applied for a new one in the month of May. Happy to say I've got my brand spanking new passport today with all of its shiny red goodness.
Things are getting slightly better this side of the planet (pandemic wise). As it stands, I'll be going to various places around Asia for the next couple of months, including Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia for work.
In other news, I asked you peeps what new OC I should get (see journal: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10241375/), and quite a number of you wanted a croc babe. I know dolphin boyo, Kiran Wang, came out first (mainly by happenstance that the artist who can draw very nice cetaceans was available), but trust me, croc babe will be coming... soon™.
Anyways, that's it from me. Feel free to ask me anything btw (silly questions allowed) ^^
~JAF1320
P.S. I also fully recovered from COVID about a few weeks ago, so yes, I'm fine now!

Going to Malaysia for a Short Business Trip
Posted 3 years agoIt's now the 2nd day of Ramadan, but for me, I'll be going off to Malaysia from 9 May to 12 May for a business trip. So happy to be able to fly again! Last time to flew a plane was back in 2020 before COVID disrupted my plans to travel across Europe.
The aviation industry's got a long way to go, but we're getting there!

I'm Considering Changing Irda's Hairstyle. Suggestions?
Posted 3 years agoFolks, I need some suggestions, references or pics. I've been considering changing Irda's (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/33311969/) hairstyle. I'm not looking for jarring/extreme hairstyles, but I'd like to have a one that would match that of a character that would probably go into fights a lot.
Note: her hair must remain long. Tied and untied are fine. :3

National Anthems Instrumental Re-Arrangements Requests
Posted 3 years agoHi everyone, I've recently did a re-arrangement of the Ukrainian National Anthem which you can find here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46205536/.
Now it got me thinking, what national anthem would you like me to re-arrange next? Please comment below on a national anthem, and if I feel like it, I will re-arrange it into a different instrumentation. E.g. if it was written for marching band, I will change it to medieval folk music, pirate music, film music or jazz music, etc.
Anyways, give me anywhere between 1-4 national anthems!
JAF1320
NOTE:
Anthems I will not re-arrange:
- Afghanistan (Afghanistan's current government under the Taliban interprets music as un-Islamic, and thus, Afghanistan does not have any official national anthem as of this post's writing, which means I can't really re-arrange anything. What I can re-arrange is the pre-Taliban national anthem under the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan which honestly sounds like an epic war soundtrack).
- Algeria (sorry Algeria, I love you as a country, but the anthem's melodic trajectory is constantly interrupted by incessant repeating of each new melodic material twice).
- North Korea (Best Korea is so good its glorious magnificent leader ain't got time for rearrangement XIXIXIXI).

My 2 cents on PayPal

A Childhood Dream (to Travel the World)
Posted 4 years agoI remembered watching National Geographic TV in the early 2000s, and I've told myself, I want to visit every country in the world.
So far, I've only been to/resided in 21 countries (1 if you count Hong Kong), and IMO that's a pathetic number. >:C
The countries I have visited are:
Singapore (where I live)
PR China, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Tanzania, France, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States.
The plan in the next 5-10 years is to do a grand tour of Europe; from Portugal to Andorra, from Luxembourg to Moldova, from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Finland, you name it. Belarus would be very tricky to visit, and I do hope the political situation there gets better.
Other places:
Latin America should not be too big of an issue except Venezuela; best to wait and see what happens 10-30 years down the road. Cuba shouldn't be an issue since Singaporeans can enter Cuba visa free (as of the writing of this post). Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras... might need to splurge and stick to safe areas.
The Caribbean should be easy for me, but Haiti will be challenging given the political instability there. Guyana for SOME REASON requires me to apply for a visa, WHILE MALAYSIAN CITIZENS DON'T NEED IT? REEE.
North America: I need to visit Canada — this is a no-brainer. USA, I've been a couple of times already, namely California and Hawaii.
Africa: So far I've been to the easy countries of Kenya and Tanzania (yellow fever vaccination and DAILY malaria pills are the only inconvenience during my stay there). South Africa and Ghana should be relatively easy too. Madagascar is a must go. Mali, Niger, Central African Republic, Chad and Burkina Faso are risky to travel to right now. Somalia's most stable area is Somaliland which is pretty safe unlike the rest of Somalia so that COULD be an option.
Asia: Okay, I'm both sad and glad that I've managed to visit Myanmar before the 2021 coup. Afghanistan is going to take many years before things change. Lebanon is not a place to travel for now, as with Yemen. Iran is a must go for me. I definitely need to visit (Republic of) Korea though using metal chopsticks is going to be a challenge for me XD. Pakistan is going to be really cool to hike in, though I will certainly need to be cautious.
Oceania: New Zealand is a no-brainer, I HAVE to visit it. Solomon Islands is going to be interesting but hard to enter, but... Nauru, oh dear, that will be tough.
So yeah, that's basically it! I really hope this pandemic ends soon so I can start travelling again! Dang, it's been two years since I've sat on a plane!
Best!

Things people usually say to me + my comments :3
"OMG, but that country is dangerous!" — Yes, I don't intend to visit countries currently undergoing civil strife or civil war (e.g. Yemen or Afghanistan). However, as soon as they become politically stable and opened to even a small tourist industry, I WILL GO.
"It's a waste of time!" — One person's trash is another person's treasure I suppose. XD
"That country is so authoritarian, they don't respect human rights, BOYCOTT, DON'T VISIT." — I'm a bit different, the more repressive a country is, the more interested I want to go there and hear what locals have to say. I lived in China for many years, and Singapore is also pretty authoritarian as well (albeit not as massive as China ofc). From my experience visiting other countries with questionable rights records (e.g. Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Tanzania) these places are not as bad as what some of my friends (from the "West") see. Yes, I wholly condemn actions that attack rights, but to boycott a country purely for that reason means risking narrowing ourselves to media narratives at the expense of the positives of a country. In my opinion, by making friends in these countries, we also give them a means to express themselves; and perhaps when the time comes that they wish to emigrate, we are there to help them. I know, I'm sounding a idealistic here.
"Don't visit X country! Their culture includes eating [X] food, being dressed as [X], not allowing you to do [X]" — Just because a few hundred Chinese people eat dog meat, doesn't mean all 1.4 billion Chinese people does the same thing, let alone defines the culture. One of the most cringe things I get by some people is when they say (for instance): 'I don't want to visit Spain because they allow bull fighting' or 'there is a town in Japan that hunts dolphins, I will never visit Japan!'. I think we should take a step back and ask ourselves, 'do these practises define every person in that country?'

Which of my OC would you have sex with?
Posted 4 years agoOh god, here we go. :V
So I've been pretty busy IRL with work and all that jazz, so much so I hadn't really been uploading or interacting with the community as much as I would like. Given that I've found myself some time, I'm going to ask a question about my OCs.
Which of my OC(s) would you ride/bang?
IRDA, KEDRAN, GERVAS, VALEXIA
IZRI, KARANI, THANA
CYRESTE, PIVARI
IQBAL, NITA
SAMIYA
Feel free to choose one, few, multiple, all. You can rank them if you want XD
