This weekend was pretty active. Started off with the retirement ceremony of a good friend, afterwards he hosted an awesome party at a beach house he rented where all his friends and family got to party, eat his excellent home made food, and drink profusely (except me, cause I was designated driver, so I just stuffed my face.) All this was followed by a little after partying at the barracks where I had a little tequila and passed out from being so tried.

Was woke up at 8 something by and his corpsman buddy, then we gassed up and trucked it over to Raleigh to hang out with for a bit before the Pullen Picnic; we left our navy friend at the hotel we rented so he could rest up. At the park I brought some sweets, we ate good food and got the chance to hang out with good furs again. I tried to gather up people to go see Rango; managed to snatch up about 4 others to go while Felix tried to gather people for the after party.
The move was good, predictable plot, but awesome animation. It had a couple nice girls in it too, the lizard girl named Beans was alright, but the fox chick named Angelique is "gigidy gigidy, awright!" xP

The hotel party after the movie was pretty nice. everyone just sorta hung out and drank (except rose, she has good discipline when it comes to that). I downed half a bottle of Goldschlager and started getting a little "tired". =P

Next morning we decided to see Sucker Punch; Ridiculous levels of action, but the actual underlying plot is really depressing. I enjoyed the movie, but it put me in a really depressed, kinda bad mood. It's not a bad movie, just a tear jerker when you realize what's going on at the end.
After the movie we hung out with Rose for a bit more before finally heading back to this horrible place. =P

Next weekend will be a bit of a cool down and time to work on my car if it's not finished already.

Well everyone typed up their view of the con, time for me to do the same. =3

Jeeze, where do I start. This isn't everything, but I'll try to include as much as

I can remember.

The group was split between  KaynusVulfe's room which roomed himself,

 KaotheWolf,  nxfelix, and Spatula, then  RoseHexwit's room which

roomed her, myself,  Kiraeden, and  reverendyurodivy. Myself and Rose

mostly crashed in Kanus's room for the most part though.

Myself and Felix finally reached the hotel at around 5pm. We met up with kao and

kanus and decided to get food, so we thought Hooters would be a good place to

start; Good food and beer. The next night, the whole group went to Hard Rock Cafe;

though expensive, it was an awesome experience. Got to see some good enertainment,

for example:  2gryphon's stand up, Kage's story time, a halarious improv show,

and the furry dance and talent shows. Everyone had a good time at the nightly rave

parties along side the partying that went on every night. Oh, G4's Attack of the

Show also made an appearance, not sure why really since I'm sure they've already

done plenty of segments on furries before.


The majority of the con was really spent running back and fourth and meeting up

with old and new friends. I ran into  Kohaku and finally got got his contact

info after knowing him since like Anthrocon 07. Was introduced to  Warrn and

his girlfriend; was nice to meet and chat with them.  toklankitsune, owner of

the Arctic Foxes of FA group,greeted me as well; really nice guy. Was introduced to

 draco751 (a fellow Marine and generally great guy) who invited us to an

awesome party where I met  kriegfox and  theleo, and chatted with a few

others. Kohaku introduced to me a retired Marine, and also an awesome pilot who gave

me some helpfull information about flight school; going to have to get their names. I also ran into  shiroelex

and  jellybeans95 again, was nice to see them again.  crysm was also

around; hung out with him some too.  honeypup and  liztail made it to FWA

this year, I ran into them every so often and went to lunch with them.  zike,

Goldfox, Redneckfur, Marc Leonhardt, Wolfeh, Dixielandoe,

Chezne, and Aloisyous were also there, I hope they enjoyed themselves

as much I did. I also commissioned Boneitis to draw up a badge for Kao, he

did a great job on it and Kao loved it. There were many other great furs I ran

into, but with the con going by in such a blur, I just can't remember everyone and

everything that happened.

An incredibly great time was had and I cannot wait for the next FWA!

Going to try and make AC if I'm still here for it, if so, I hope to see many of you

there.

The crankshaft is fine, for some reason the crankshaft pulley decided it wanted to be a deviant and got all bent out of shape and snapped off. I just need to go grab another pulley from the scrap yard and throw it on. Only problem is I can get the darn bolt off; need an impact wrench...

I'm just sooo happy I don't have to scrap my car and get a new one. Between paying off some of my debt, a few small bills and my mom's rent, I would have been screwed with a sandpaper dildo and venager. >.-

Granted my weekend was ruined, I'm at least grateful for being able to fix my car.

My car took a steaming dump today and as far as I can tell, its done for. There might be a chance to fix it, but if it's what we all think it is and the rod connected to the fly wheel is bent, then I'm just going to scrap the thing. Right before FWA too; what crap.

This is kinda strange, but...

I was wondering if I could ask one of my furry friends to do me a favor and hold onto my furry stuff and store it somewhere safe when I deploy (it's a box of stuff I've picked up at a few of the conventions I've attended and some art I won at the art auctions).

If something happens to me and my family gets all my junk, I'd rather they not get ahold of a box of strange furry material with some questionable content. If anything happens, then whoever is watching it for me can have it/sell it/give it away.

I'm not saying "OMG I'm gonna get blown up!" the second I set foot in the sand, it's just that there is no telling what will happen or what I'll be doing when I'm over there. For all I know I could just get stuck working at some big ol secured base like Camp Leatherneck, or I could get voluntold to go on some convoy and all it takes is that one hidden present on the side of the road. It's rare, but it happens.

So if anyone could afford to stash two small boxes in a closet somewhere, I'd be incredibly grateful. =^^=

Saturday was pretty eventful. Myself, , and all drove up to Raleigh for the meet at Pullen Park and had fun chatting, eating and in general just hanging out with all our fur friends.
After if got late a bunch of us went and chilled at and 's place. Honey wasn't feeling too well, so everyone left early so she could get some rest. Not wanting to drive all the way back to base just yet, our little trio along with , , and Axel just kinda loitered near Liz and Honey's doorstep for like 2 hours before finally deciding to take up Axel's offer to crash at his place.
At Axel's everyone relaxed and drank a little, but I was too tried and just passed out, and Axel gave me an awesome arctic fox plush to pass out with. =^^=
Woke up to everyone playing Wii. We decided to drive to Ihops and engorge ourselves then drove back to Axel's place and said our goodbyes.

Was a pretty great weekend in all and I ook forward to many more like it. Hope everyone else had as much fun and I did. =3

Such a great start to this month, and the whole day in general was just awesome.

Yesterday was awesome. Myself,  KaotheWolf, and  RoseHexwit all decided to hang out all Saturday. We met up at her college where she showed us around (really nice place, if only our base were half as nice). Aftwerwards we ate at one of the Mexican restaurants
We drove over to Michals to pick up a few things then had fun with  LizTail,  CorenTiger,  marcleonhardt, and let's not forget Roy (cause hes a big ol cute squishy face).
The 3 of us then traveled back to the college campus and had pizza before stopping by Rose's room for a few things then heading down to the lounge where Corin met up with us and we watched some movies.
We all parted ways at around 12 and went home.

Can't wait for the next time we can all meet up and have fun again. =^^=

This was a pretty great weekend. Well, Friday wasn't so nice since it was all spent at the DMV, but I got to hang out with Kao in the evening.
Saturday was spent having fun with all my Triangle area furiends followed by an awesome hockey game with Kao and some of his friends. After the game we hung out at Scribble's place, but I was just too tired and kept passing out.
Sunday morning and evening was spent passed out. I went back to base and joined in on the Superbowl party some friends were having and as soon as I walked in they threw a beer bong at me, blehg x3. Plenty of snacks, drinks, and fun to be had. Some drama almost sparked, but it was kept under control (remember to lock my computer when I walk away from it =P).

All in all, it was a pretty great weekend. =^^=

This journal should have taken place right after the previous since it all happened on the same day, but I was just too bothered to write this up that night.
After enjoying the 2 hour lunch they gave us after the hike, we head back to the office where I find out that they swapped me with a LCpl from 2nd supply battalion, so now I'm TAD (temporary additional duty, you go work somewhere else for awhile) to 2nd supply battalion for 180 days or until I come back from deployment with them. Some of the people there are nice, but I just really enjoyed my place back up at regiment. THen to make things worse they get all animate about putting me in the 2nd supply barracks asap, so now I'm stuck in an unfamiliar room with two corporals, until they can find me a more permanent room. Back in my old room I had an awesome roomate (who I'm still going to work out and hang out with), cable tv and net, and a comfy room setup; all gone.
I feel stupid for making all these bad new journals, but it really has been just an aweful week.

Here's hoping for a better upcoming week.

Again, the dude did it again, and on the worst of days. We had to be up at 4:30am for a 5 miles hike in our main packs with rifles, flak, and kevlar. I even called it the night before. I told my other roomate he would probably come through the door with a breaching charge, slap him on the forehead with his junk, then proceed to turn on the lights and open his locker with a sledge hammer. Lo and behold, come 2:30am he stumbles in, turns on the light, and starts rummaging through his junk and putting everything together because he didn't pack his gear like everyone else the night before.

Come 6am everyone is lined up outside with their rifle and gear and ready to go. Three hours later we finish and go to turn in our weapons, and if ruining my morning was bad enough, that guy tries to hold me up on our lunch break while he waits in line at the armory to pitch a fuss about getting bitched at by one of our Sergeants for blowing up our morning. Every day. We said forget it and walked back to shower up, eat, and relax. He tried to complain to my other roomate, but he wasn't having any of it. So now I'm writing this before I pass out and catch up on lost sleep.

Ugh...

TL;DR

Yesterday. Was horrendous.
The day starts off at 3am with our roomate stumbling into the room covered in mud, turning on the lights and making noise. My other roomate asks him to turn off the light if he doesn't need it and he just starts rambling on about how he planted his car into a flooded ditch. The whole time I'm trying to ignore the light and sleep, and the whole time all he doing is either sitting in the chair, stumbling around, or staring at the mirror, all while only wear his underwear. I finally just say to hell with it and just get on my laptop since there's no way I'm going to get any sleep with this guy. He notices that I'm half asleep on my laptop and stumbles over and asks if I wanna know what happened to his car and I tell him "Yeah, I heard." So after hanging around in the chair for 3 hours he finally quickly gets dressed (if you could call it dressed) and flys out the door making god awful noise, slamming the door (twice), and leaving the light on. We highly doubted his sobriety.
At work we complain, and deal with the usual junk that comes with the work day. As the days is about to end they make us do a shop PT, which is a total waste of time since myself and my roomate along with another go to the gym every day and put in a real workout. After finishing the run (jog), we end up having to do a gear re-inspection, so we haul all of our tactical gear out and lay it out for them to check off our stuff.
Finally, the three of us get to the gym and do a great workout. Its at about this point the night starts to salvage the day, as after getting back from the gym and showering, up we all feel great and relaxed. The other guy we work out with (great man btw), decides to take us to this awesome mexican restaurant where we order a couple beers, relax even more, have great food, and chat. We come back and jump into bed feeling great, at least until the next day.

We gather up in the morning wearing flak, kevlar, and gas mask pouch with gas mask. They load everyone into a 7ton truck and take us to the gas chamber. The whole day it's cold and raining. They pass out MOPP suits for everyone to wear, gather us up in the bleachers to give us 3 hours of classes that should only take like 30 minutes (how to use your gas mask and the different types of contaminants, and how to react to them). Not to mention myself and a few others had the privlage of demonstrating the skin decontamination kit, a little pad covered in charcoal like power that you smear all over your face. Afterwards, they make us run a little obstacle trail in MOPP suits and gas masks. Finally we get to the whole reason we're there: line up in the gas chamber, see that our mask works, do some jumping jacks, and choke on some CS gas.
We finally get back, I wash the black junk off my face which makes the CS gas still stuck to my face go ballistic and make my face burn. Then we have to grab fast chow from the mess hall because we have to drive out to the airbase for a class (I chuckles at the lady workign at the chow hall becuase everyone with CS gas stuck to their uniforms was making the air itchy to breath). WE drive 2 hours to the airbase for a 20 some minute demonstration on how to use a fancy scale, then drive 2 hours back. Lastly, I thought the two I work out with are already up at the gym, so I run up there to try and catch them only to find out they hadn't left yet, so I had to work out by myself, which sucks.

Just a really bad start for a week is all, and I felt like complaining, so there.
(inb4 suck it up/quit yer whining.)

hahaha! This is too funny, but honestly, I'm not going to complain. The whole base is shut down over 2 inches of snow magically appearing over night. No work!

This could take some getting used to. In Michigan you could open your door to snow at eye level and your work would give you an hour to come in late so you can shovel yourself out. Down here snow is like an apocalypse, everybody retreats to their homes and locks their door at the sight of the strange white precipitation.

Well, this year started off with Bewt Camp, boat loads of joy were had. That bucket of fun chewed up 3 months.

Enjoyed a 17 day vacation after that then flew right back over to CA for Marine Combat Training; fun on the mountains (lol, hills) and blowing up/shooting things and learning how to go all S.W.A.T. on a town made of cargo containers. Also, whistling dynamite; don't be the jerk to whistle at random and make everyone face plant in the dirt. 1 month spent there learning how to wreck stuff only to fly over to...

Logistics school! Woooo! *one tiny balloon in the background* Actually I got to blow a month and a half as camp guard. I learned how to sleep, end of story. Spent another month in forming where we performed tedious odd jobs. My class finally picked up and I spent less than a month learning how to be an Embarker (don't ask). Graduated third in my class (I'll win next time Sergeants).

Come time to go to our permanent duty stations everyone else hops on a bus or plane and leaves. I hop in a car and get dropped off at my duty station 10 minutes on the other side of base. Spend a night in receiving and copy some movies and shows off another guy in the squad bay. Get picked up the next day and start checking in. Still here just learning my job as I go and working.

Many shenanigans were had at each point leading up to now, but there's way too many to type up here or for me to remember. Tune in next time for the next episode: deployment to Afghanistan.

So with this art class I enrolled in I can finally draw things that don't require too much eye bleach afterwards.

As stated on my page, I don't really consider myself an artist since I'm just getting a bunch of practice in this class for something I haven't been able to do since I was 12. I still can't create things off the top of my head like a character, or a fantasy scene; kind of stuck at observed still life for the time being. Eventually I'll start practicing freestyle drawing when I have more time, till then, I'm still not real active of FA.

Anything I do for class or in freetime that seems suitable for furaffinity, I'll post. All of my other art I'll just toss up on my photobucket account for now.
