Hey there, Jake here ^^
Time for another update / early April journal x3

Last time I was giving my con report from my very first NordicFuzzCon 2 weeks ago and I´m sure that I´ll do my best to get even better experience of that con again.
Last weekend was local comic festival called Tampere Kuplii, which alongside with local anime and roleplaying convention Tracon are ones I go annually.
Had good time, got to spend time with great people both on furry group and few friends outside from furry group (I´ve known them from local Pokemon League, more specifically).
Again seems like I still have some work with myself and how to socialize with people, but I´m positive that I´ll get better with it within time and not getting too stressed about it ^//^
There´s lot of great furries out there, who I have already met throughout almost 8 years (Can´t believe that August 2019 and my 10th Furryversary is coming really fast x3) and hopefully I´ll be able to get to know a lot more of great people ^^


So anyways, more life events... As from 20th of March, I started 2 month/8 week long trainee period in a hypermarket (it´s similar like Walmart or something like that in US) in about 25 minutes away from my home.
After first work week I finished today, I surely have missed to be in work life and that has set my mind out from stress and biggest worries.
Just hoping that this good luck with work applying will continue because I feel like that is what I need the most on my life now.


Even though I got now trainee period keeping this lion busy a bit, I still try my best to draw more pics and also been planning to make another back-up upload with some arts I have here to Furry Network.
I know that I haven´t used it so much (over 6 months now, maybe almost year ago *looks embarrassed*), but I kinda want to keep it in update as well as it´s another site where you can find me if something happens to FA.
Also I´m hoping to get work on with updated ref sheet or at least get it from great artist one day :3
And don´t worry, I know that I´ve been tweaking my lion´s look a lot and almost yearly, but atm I feel that Jake has now become fully grown-up adult with full mane after changing hair style a lot during past years and I´m gonna keep this look until eternity (not gonna make him look like a grey maned grumpy old kitty when I´ll get older *chuckles for that idea*).
So you´ll see a big buff lion for years to come ^^

And also next week´s Sunday (April 2nd) will be that time of the year, this lion´s birthday ^^ Time goes fast for sure, I felt like I was 30 just yesterday x3
There´s nothing special planned for that day nor the weekend yet as 3rd of April will be workday again, so no booze on birthday (unless it´s before Friday or Saturday, then that´s fine x3).
But there´s still time for that so no worries x3

As I have woken up first time at home after NFC, I thought to make a report about how the con went overall :3

So first of all as little summary the NFC 2017 went 98% alright, since it had mostly great times with somewhat smaller things which would have been better.
The time I was spending mostly with my roomies  vince_bloodwing and  jaxhuskita (huge thanks to them to share this experience with me) and I think I suited for 5-6 hours total during the con (I managed to lost my count with time x3).
This was my very first time to go to Sweden besides of ferry cruises and just going in transfer flight in Stockholm-Arlanda airport and also my very first NFC.
The hotel was looking magnificent and specially the lobby is really wonderful looking.

At Thursday 9th, it was travel day to get to the con most part and just getting used to the con space, taking some photos around the hotel and for the fursuiters.
So it was quite a relaxing day.

Friday 10th was the first con day and the fursuit parade day at the NFC, the parade was a bit different than what I have used to. The parade started without any special announcement or any assembling like in Anthrocon for example, I just had to follow the other furs and the lining was bit unorganized like everyone was trying to crowd themselves in small space at same time.
Also there was unexpected change with parade route too, which excluded the outdoor part.
Parade went otherwise like in other cons I have been so far ^^
At same day, there was opening of the Dealers den and Art Show. I was unlucky to get any art from both places as I failed with saving enough money for the con. *writes down reminder to save up more money next NFC*
Also I managed to play some of the games at the arcade room.
Later that evening, Jax invited me to go to room party with him and I had great time there, thanks to everyone who came to chat with me a bit.

Saturday 11th was the last full day at the con for us before leaving Sunday.
There was not much new happening as I roamed between Dealer´s Den, Art Show and Arcade Room, but there was also group photo of the con and I managed to watch with  jax_huskita one panel of GoH  jdpuppy which was called "Shake your tail" and it was basically dance lesson.
I have to say that I could see why he´s quite famous in fandom as he seem to be really easy-going fellow and he´s cheerful guy, also really good dancer ^^
At evening me and  vince_bloodwing made our last fursuiting roaming of the con and then got some sleep before early wake up next day.

Sunday 12th we went to get some breakfast and finished up packing, to get ready to go to the airport and back our homes.


As I mentioned in the beginning the report, the con was 98% alright for this lion, the last 5% was not so good experiences.. so I guess this will be so called Con/Minus part of NFC report.
I already mentioned about parade stuff on Friday´s con part, but also I noticed other stuff which didn´t worked on con.
I was looking forward to get myself a fursuit photo from NFC´s official photoshoot, but that excitement went down after hour of waiting and still not able to get in photoshoot.
So I had to give up on waiting and there won´t be any fursuit photoshoot photos from NFC this time.
Also, there weren´t as much interesting panels or meets as I wished for, like there was meet&greets with Eurovision fans, Avians, Duch AngelDragons and Babyfurs.
We need lion meet&greet in NFC!!!! Next year!! MAKE IT WORK!! x3
So it´s kinda 50/50 with the programming on NFC 2017, as I´m sure that some people likes the loosen up programming, without too many stuff happening at the same time. But there´s also people who are just roaming around as they don´t have anything else to do.

Those were the con related experiences that could have been better, there was some things that I could have done better during the NFC, also.
I managed to slip on wet floor on sauna´s changing room, hitting my right shoulder and right knee. The knee healed up during next 2 days, shoulder is still a bit sore, but hopefully it will recover soon too.
So lesson here is: If there´s a slippery wet floor in changing room, then be extra cautious with walking.
Also I wasn´t able to test drive the pool, because I forgot to take my swimming trunks with me and I thought that I could buy or rent them at hotel. Nope, that wasn´t possible.
Lesson: "If there´s a pool in con hotel and you want to swim in it, bring your goddamn swimming trunks with you anyways"

The biggest thing I was noticing on myself during the con: I need to learn to be more outgoing person.

The reason I was talking about the lack about interesting panels and meets, was that kinda made me feel bit lonely and down during the con.
Even though I was trying my best to have lots of fun and enjoy my time on NFC, I somehow failed to be outgoing as much as I could.
So I kinda hoped that there would have been bit more stuff to do to get the bad feeling out of the way and get to know with other furs too.

I was happy that I was able to meet again some furs which I haven´t seen for some while, I just hope I´m able to be bit more outgoing person.
Though I know getting more outgoing isn´t the easy task or learned by overnight, I keep my fingers crossed that I achieve that someday.

Anyways, I´m definitely looking forward to get back to the NFC again next year with better preparing in my mind.
Next con adventure will be in Tampere Kuplii comic festival this weekend ^^

Took a little while to get this one done, but yes we´re almost passed from cold winter time as the Spring sun is starting to shine from my home windows at 8-9am x3
Spring means that there would be more chances for this lion to go outside and get some fresh air after cold winter ^^

Anyways, March will be the con month (kinda) for this lion, as upcoming Thursday I´ll be heading to Stockholm, Sweden for Nordicfuzzcon and then there will be local comic book festival "Tampere Kuplii" whole week after NFC (the main events will be during 18th and 19th of March, when there´s lots of cosplayers and also some furs too).

Personally, I would liked to have one for release date, but it costs quite a lot in Europe (almost $400) I decided to wait when price would be bit lower.
And besides, I have still some games on Wii U that I wish to finish up first :3

...but I decided to close YCH auction earlier as I noticed that wasn´t progressing anywhere, unfortunately.

Oh well, I guess either timing was wrong or it wasn´t good idea to post 2 different YCH poses at same time or I wasn´t promoting auction as much as I should or something else.

Hello everyone,

January is almost passed by and the year 2017 started quite good art wise, though there still need some improvements for that as I´m slowly getting back with normal routine of life.

Job hunting is getting a bit hopeful turn as I visited in a workshop in Tampere, which has a project for helping people either getting a job by rental work company which is co-operating with the workshop or gain some parts of the professions in their own workshops. Gonna see what this card will show and will it improve my luck to get finally in work life. ^^

Art wise January was quite good and there will be more YCHs and also I´m planning to open commissions for February, mostly I´m preparing myself for the NordicFuzzCon coming up at early March.
I´m so looking forward for this trip as this will be my officially first time in Sweden (not counting stays in Stockholm-Arlanda airport or Stockholm harbor for the ferry cruises), so we´ll see how this trip will come up in the end ^^

Let´s hope that February will be even more good and we´re getting closer to springtime ^^

After seeing the live presentation at 6am this morning (yeah that was really early x3), I personally liked what I was seeing, but as the European prices weren´t officially announced like they did for Yens and US Dollars (I found out that there´s not final price tag in GameStop Finland´s site for 399,95 Euros), I wasn´t hyped to buy the console right from the launch date March 3rd.

And also there´s STILL some Wii U games that I haven´t even managed to play through yet, like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (which is still in quite at the beginning of the game atm), Tokio Mirage Sessions #FE, both Beyonettas (I have played Bayonetta 1 some while, but never got even started with Bayonetta 2 yet) and some other games too.
I really need to step up with playing Wii U games first as I wait until official price in Europe is announced and I get enough money to invest on it :3

I have been playing the game for a while now and I was thinking about moving to the new union, so which one is the best one to join?

Yay, I survived from 2016!!!

And this year will be special as it´s Finland´s 100th independence anniversary year, which started with huge fireworks while Darude´s Sandstorm was playing in Helsinki.

As for this year, I want to step up with my arting (found out about art contest for Finland´s 100 celebration, which I definitely gonna give a try) and hoping to get the lifestyle abit better than what it was last year.
Also I hope that I could be able to find a work too, which was really struggling to find.. It has been making me feel so stressed and worried about in many ways.


But still, I´m so happy that 2016 is now behind and I´m so positively looking forward what 2017 has to offer ^^

Man, what a year it has been overall.

I managed to watch Sing movie as it got in cinemas today (well technically yesterday as new day started little while ago).
The movie was overall good and enjoyable, specially singing performances were really great ^^

Anyways, I think now after Sing... I´m concluded my animated movie year 2016.
So I managed to see at least 6 animated movies during this year:

Zootropolis (aka Zootopia)
The Secret Life of the Pets
Kubo and the Two Strings
Boy and the Beast
Storks
Sing

Have to say that Zootopia has been the best animated movie of 2016 easily and I liked a lot for the others from the list too.


And now, I´m gonna wish you all a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays as it´s already Christmas Eve on my side. Also that means, that there will be another special day happening today.
Since 2009, I was blessed my life with most wonderful and caring wolfie,  hornetv2´s proposal to be his boyfriend.
I´m feeling so happy and lucky to have Hornet as my love, from my bottom of my heart I want to thank you for being on my side so long.

What future is having for both of us? I can´t wait to find that out and I´m sure you´re impatient to find out that too, my special wolf ^^

Hey there guys,

finally we have reached to the last month of 2016 and man what a year it has been so far.

Atm most of you are in MMF (or making your ways there), I hope you all will have great time there. One day this lion will be able to go there as well.

Sorry for being so absent with arts, life has been bringing a lot stuff to deal with it, but I still try my best to get some new arts to share with you guys.
Also commissions are still open, as a reminder ^^
And soon (in few weeks) there will be the big anniversary of my special wolf, the one who has been given me huge support when I needed the most.

I thought to make some quick update, thank you for all new watchers and faves ^_^

I mean with playthrough of Pokemon Sun main game as I finished it in 2 days o.o
And mainly my Incineroar made most of the work with trials x3

Overall feeling of the Gen 7 is... best gen so far!
The difficulty level wasn´t highly difficult, but neither piece of cake/ dumb easy as it was giving a lot challenge specially at the final points of the journey (don´t want to spoil too much, even though most of my watchers has already played the games for a while now, but I thought this for my European watchers which got games 2 days ago like I did).
The plot and soundtrack was overall wonderful, even though the plot was having a lot of dialog, the story and characters were interesting enough to keep the interest on.

I can´t wait to work on my teams for the Gen 7, I got Pokemon Moon to play still and after finishing it, I´ll be starting working on with teams :3
