Posted 15 years agoThank you to everyone who has commented, faved or watched! Apologies for not getting back to you immediately (or at all), life has been busy for the past 4-5 months, and threatens to continue.
I am doing work now - to say that I have a job would be inaccurate, as I'm not in full time employment, but I am doing lots of odd jobs that are either voluntary (and for a good cause) or paid. So I'm making money, meeting new people, and occupying my time productively, which is all I was really hoping for. I'll also being heading to the United States in September if everything goes according to plan. Life is suddenly exciting again!
Sadly, my writing time is severely limited by two projects I'm working on and that I can't really share with you. If it's any consolation, it's nothing you would be interested in - one is a contribution to a scientific paper on the subject of upper management career development (which is going to be interesting because I'm totally bluffing any expertise on the subject), and the other is an incredibly nerdy FAQ for a decade old video game that will take me 6 months or so to finish.
That said, I would love to be writing mediocre smut again. So maybe I will. And maybe I will colour things too. But no promises. For the most part, I will probably be lurking, commenting, and writing blog posts that nobody but myself will see.

Posted 15 years agoSo a few days ago I decided "fuck it" and tried the whole cybersex/chatroom thing. Now I have a kid my age who I unintentionally reduced into tears of happiness because I told him he was a nice guy who could make his own future and that he shouldn't let other people pressure him into sex. Then there's the 41 y/o man in Scotland who wants to drive 7 hours to where I live to bone me, despite having known each other for under a week. I'm sort of glad he doesn't live closer. I had my first job interview
Posted 15 years agoIt was at a well-known British health, beauty and pharmaceutical store that shall remain unnamed.
So the interview began on the shop floor and I was handed a leaflet for the store's loyalty card, then told to sell it to as many people as possible.
I was a little thrown.
I managed to get to 8 or 9 people in about 5 minutes. They all had one already.
Then I was asked to stand at the entrance and offer people baskets. This was probably the most degrading part. No-one showed up for the first 5 minutes, then everyone came at once. A lot of them were pretty confused, but hey one of them wanted a basket so I consider it a victory.
After that I was stuck at a till and made to pack bags. Except only one person wanted a bag. Everything they bought was a weird shape, so I laid down the flat-ish thing at the bottom and stacked everything else on top of it. It didn't work very well. But the interviewer was a long way away so maybe she didn't notice?
Then I was shown an aisle and asked how I would improve it. This was pretty easy. There was stuff on the floor and in the wrong place and facing the wrong way.
Then I was asked to fetch the cheapest paracetamol in the store. This was a cakewalk since I'd bought paracetamol there before and knew exactly where to find it. The cheapest brand was sold out, but I was starting to get used to that kind of bad luck by this point.

Is it just me or is there a lot of hostility towards the T within the GLBT community? I've seen some gays say some pretty, well, evil things to transsexuals and it's pretty embarrassing for me, as someone who falls under the same flag. Is this a product of greater tolerance for homosexuality? Are we going to turn on the people who fought alongside us now that we have greater acceptance?
When I found out that the black community was one of the major forces behind Prop 8, I found it pretty sickening. I'd be devastated if gays ended up in the same position, especially against a group of people that worked alongside us in our struggle for tolerance. What do people think? Am I reading too much into this?

Birthday today and stuff
Posted 16 years agoI got a couple of video games, a few books, a pac-man T-shirt (so awesome), and the most amazing toy gun that lights up and makes crazy noises when I shoot it
Then I had a 3-hour L4D2 marathon (it was one of my gifts) with friends
Right now I'm taking a break before my birthday meal with the family

Nerdy mathematics ahoy. Since my last 50 watches, I got 662 pageviews (1662 total), an average of 13.2 pageviews per watch, compared to 20 pageviews per watch for the first 50. I guess that means I'm getting better at attracting watchers! But not as good at attracting favourites (122 at my last miletone, 191 at the moment), possibly because I haven't been submitting as much stuff.
Oh, about that. I've been doing some colouring work lately but I haven't posted any of it in a while - I should get around to that. I also have some really old colouring attempts if anyone is interested.
If you've never read any of my writing, may I recommend Urges as I think it's far and away the best pr0n story I've written. B&L is officially on-hold, possibly indefinitely, but I'm toying with ideas for a sequel to Urges. No estimation on when it'll be done because I suck at keeping to schedules.
