2017, Year in Review.
Posted 8 years agoSo another year has come and gone once again, seems like it was New Years Day 2017 just a few days ago. It has been quite an eventful year for so many people from the sadness that was Charlottesville to the accomplishments of Virginia in November and the surprising win for Doug Jones in Alabama. Yes there were some truly awful moments this year and it does seem that this country is still divided as ever when it comes to several issues. But I'm hopeful for 2018, from possibly attending my first furry convention (Anthro New England) to the Renaissance Faire season starting up in June.
Here's to the new year, let it be a bright one.

How I view 2016
Posted 9 years agoRecently Google released their annual Year in Search Video, the last couple of Year in Search videos were happy and more energetic. But this year's came as a surprise to me, it was more somber, it was quieter; perhaps to reflect how this year for many of us was a dark and gloomy year. Multiple terror attacks like the ones in France, Belgium, and Orlando, multiple celebrity deaths like Gene Wilder, Muhammed Ali, David Bowie, and Prince. But looking back at the video it got me thinking back about the year nearly gone by us in what seems like an instant. Even though this year was full of tragedy and misfortune there were many instances of triumph and accomplishment both big and small. I'd like to list off some of those things because we've already heard about all the misfortune, I think it's time to talk about the accomplishments of 2016.
-The first probe to re-enter orbit around Jupiter since the Galileo probe in the 1990s, named Juno, successful entered orbit on July 4th, 2016.
-Hamilton was a huge success.
-The Chicago Cubs finally broke their 108 year old dry spell to finally win the World Series
-Scott Kelly successfully returned to Earth after nearly a full year aboard the International Space Station
-SpaceX successfully landed it's first stage onto a barge in the Ocean
-The 2016 Rio Olympics
Through adversity this year, people showed that hate will not triumph over love each other, coming together and helping others in their time of need. Example of this was after the Orlando Pulse shooting people lined up around the block of blood donation centers ready to donate. People coming together to show support for Victims of Nice, France and Brussels, Belgium after unprovoked terror attacks showed everyone we will not submit to hate and bigotry.
2016 has been a roller coaster to say the least. But as we head towards 2017, the best thing we can do is stand together, fight for what you believe in, tackle each day as the come, and most importantly, just love each other, Charlie Chaplin said it best: "You have the love of humanity in your hearts, you don't hate, only the unloved hate, the unloved and the unnatural"
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year everyone.

My thoughts on the matter (Vent Journal)
Posted 9 years agoWell, I didn't imagine this last year. But I guess America can prove me wrong I suppose. A man that was preaching fear and hate to divide us even further won the highest office in the land, a man that preached that if you weren't white, Christian, and straight is a possible threat to a nation that needed "to be made great again".
Yes I'm worried about my future and I'm concerned for those who have been persecuted in this country by people who are afraid of those who are different. This man's running mate saying he wants to use the money for HIV/AIDS funding for Gay Conversion Therapy and teaching Creationism in our schools.
I want to believe this is a nightmare and I'm gonna wake up soon, but I know this is reality. Despite everything that has happened, I'm gonna fight for our rights that we are entitled to as Americans.

Samsung Gear VR headset review
Posted 9 years agoSo finally the day came when my mom's VR headset came in, she had recently got a Samsung Galaxy S7 and was part of a deal if you get the phone you get the headset for free. She didn't want it so she gave it to me, what luck am I right?
I have also mess around with Google Cardboard, which was a fun little experience for little cost. But this device is absolutely fun from the first minute of use.
The first thing I tried out is trying out the VR photo viewer to start out, and it was awesome. They had photos from Ancient Egyptian Monuments to the Cupola Module on the International Space Station. The display was crystal clear even though it was being viewed on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
I browsed the market for the device while using it, the touchpad on the side of the headset is very user friendly, even though using the virtual keyboard in the VR internet browser is a little wonky to use since there's no physical feedback, even checked out FA on it.
The last feature I tried on it was a VR music player, the best way that I could describe it is when you'd listen to music on a PC and on Windows Media Player and you had all of the effects on it that was in time with the music, it was like that except it was in a 3D environment, with the right music it is awesome to look around and watch the environment pulse and change colors in time with your song.
So my final verdict on the Samsung Gear VR headset is this: If you're interested in Virtual Reality but don't want to drop the thousands of dollars on a Oculus Rift or HTC Vive and a capable computer and have a newer Samsung Galaxy this is a great product to use.

Hardcore Henry Review
Posted 9 years agoSo yesterday a couple of friends and I went to go see Hardcore Henry, and I have to say it was a dumb movie, but it was a fantastic, interesting ride nonetheless. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 when I really think about it.
I give it that rating because there are a couple of things that never got explained in the movie, but the first person view gives you "in-your-face" brutal violence and one interesting Parkour sequence. The best way I could describe the movie is if two Russian Call of Duty Players made a movie. Would I see it again in theaters? Nah. Will I get it when it comes out on Blu-Ray, yeah I think I will.
But if you can and you want to experience something different at the movies I recommend that you give Hardcore Henry a chance.

Good Job Toyota...
Posted 10 years ago...Good Fucking job, you lost my account for my Corolla on your website and application on my phone.
I just can't relax right now, I went to go check to see if my monthly lease payment went through, sometimes it takes a day or two to show up on my bank account and just wanted to be sure. I go to check and the account for my car isn't even there. I had to reenter the information and all the previous payments are still there. But that's not the worst part.
All my banking information is gone. All of it. Now after work tomorrow I have to reenter my banking information and get the payment out before the 21st or I have to pay a late payment.
This is completely unacceptable! What the hell happened between the 17th of August and now that would cause you to lose my account and my banking information. I'm glad I caught this early before I got slammed with a late fee. I'm gonna find out what happened and find the person to give a piece of my mind to.

Happy Birthday to me!
Posted 12 years agoWell it's not officially my birthday until Tuesday but it's the big one, I'm officially 21 years old Tuesday morning. Today my mom and dad prepared a brunch for me and some family came over. My aunt bought me a bottle of Prosecco, I got 2 games, 2 movies, a $20 Steam Card, and a 4 person tent for a camping trip I'm planning with friends this upcoming summer. Tuesday I'm going out with my parents for dinner and I'm getting my first drink out. Some things didn't go to plan but I'm not letting it get me down. I got 2 new games to try (PayDay 2 and The Last of Us) and I'm going to see what game I want to get on Steam later.
To my Best Furry Friends, Niko Cottontail and Inasvulpus
Posted 13 years agoThis is dedicated to my 2 best furry friends I have ever known, Niko Cottontail and Inasvulpus. I've known Niko for a few years before I met Inasvulpus. Over the course of the year these two have welcomed me into their home and spent time with me playing video games and hanging out. Feeding me whenever I come over, and giving me a place to sleep when I come over. They are truly two friends that I've been given the privlege of knowing. Thank you both for being so awesome!
I had the most intense dream
Posted 14 years agoLike the title says I had an intense dream last night. It took place in my bedroom but for some reason it was larger then in real life and inside I stood facing a whole line of furs that were warriors. I had to fight them all of them one by one while a female fur sat and watched the whole thing. It started with a wolf that was armed with two swords and I was armed with an ice pike. Every fight lasted about 5 minutes and then I was fighting two on one then three on one.
That part lasted about 10 minutes with me getting swarmed but then someone shouted and pointed to the snow leopard female. She had what I believed was an arrow and she was dying. I threw down my weapon and ran behind her and held her as she slipped away. Right before she died she gave me her ring, it was yellow gold band that looked to be the good chain necklace I own.
I woke up and my heart was beating fast and I had slightly tear soaked cheeks. If someone can translate dreams please tell me what it means.

All is better
Posted 14 years agoIn my last Journal I talked about my mates father's truck caught on fire and I had to drive my mate around. Well that lasted about a week before my parents said that i had more important things to and I told my mate that I couldn't drive her, and if her father had a problem he could call my dad. My mate called me yesterday and she said that her father's truck was still being worked on and I haven't heard a thing about it from her father.
Life has gotten better, maybe not for my mate or her father but I don't really care about their situation.

Halloween
Posted 14 years agowell its that time of year again, the leaves are changing and halloween is just around the corner. Soon Trick-or-treaters will be knocking at our doors. This Halloween is going to be different for me because this is my first Halloween at HVCC.
My mate told me that the school is going to be throwing a big Halloween party and Humans vs. Zombies fight is going to be happening in the school. This year I'm going as a Victorian-era Vampire; I did that last year except this year the costumes fits me better then my last one. I will be taking pictures and posting them on FA for anyone who wants to see me in my get up.
