Mom's getting worse.
Posted 10 years agoSo some of you may know that I've been taking care of my mom since 2008. Been a bit hard but eh no one else is doing it.
Well sine November shes been dropping weight like crazy. She now looks like a skeleton. She has no teeth in her mouth
and its just just not a good sight. Its terrible when her own family doesn't help, and my brother barely helps yet I've had
to always help him.
Getting hard to function after dealing with my own work caused sickness.

An open Letter from Jim's Family to his Fans
Posted 10 years agoThis is an open letter to the Fans of the artist, Jim Hardiman,
I am Jim Hardiman’s mom, Pauline Hardiman. Some of you may have met me at one of the earlier Confurences in 1995 – 1997. It has now been 9 months since Jim’s death. Before Jim died he had told me about the plans for a Skunkworks Graphic Novel that he was working on with Jason Canty of Angry Viking Press. He asked me to contact Jason after his death and work with him to make this happen. I promised Jim I would do this for him.
My youngest son, Jonathan (Jim’s brother) and I had a face to face meeting with Jason Canty in November 2014. I have had a difficult time since losing my son but I made him a promise so I will keep that promise. Together with Jonathan, we are working to make “Shunkworks The Graphic Novel” become a reality. I have already scanned and sent over 100 images to Jason.
I want Jim’s fans to know we hope to have everything scanned and sent to Jason within the next month if not sooner. Jim’s art was a part of who he was and his art will live on forever.
I thank you for your patience. I know Jim always had his own time frame and that was just who he was. Jonathan and I will get everything to Jason so he can get this production started and completed so you can all enjoy my Jim’s art and his fabulous sense of humor that I miss so very much.
Sincerely,
Pauline E. Hardiman

Posted 10 years agoAt doctors again today, Depression getting worse.
Posted 10 years agoI don't know if its the HEart meds, or what, but I'm getting REALLY depressed lately, more than my "normal" clinical depression I've had all my life. I really hope its just the Heart meds, sort of. Because if it is just that, then when I get off them, I can feel a bit better.
Unfortunately I need to be on them for now.
Still feeling lonely as heck. THis is really weird for me to feel that.
Doctors again said "Why hasn't your job moved you to some place cleaner?". GOing on 3 years like this now.

Ughh got a case of the feeling alone Depression.
Posted 10 years agoBad enough I’ve long been diagnosed with Clinical depression, I’m now starting to feel depressed for being alone. Which also bites because I really don’t want to be with other people. I think its some stupid biological clock thing some humans go through. Fuuugh, this is counter productive to my goals.
Soo saw the heart doctor again,
Posted 10 years ago GOod news is I'm Healthy, Bad news is I'm healthy but something is clearly happening to me to cause problems to my heart at work. Which is good news because yeah it's more evidence that I am REALLY sick and not mental/making it up and its somehow because of work. The problem is however finding out how/what at work is causing this.

Hello Everyone.
It still feels odd to make these updates without Jim. Hello everyone, the art for the Bed Pillows has been found and are currently being inked by Sanny Folkesson. Sanny (Who has a patreon https://www.patreon.com/sanny and is on FA http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15664765/) is helping out in a big way with the inking and finishes on some of the work that was incomplete. He will also lend his inking talent to a few of the last pages of the SKUNKSWORKS collection and any other possible works outside those when the files are sent over.
Since November of last year, I was on and off helping Jim's family locate all his works. We believe we found everything we can for the SKUNKWORKS collection, and might do a follow up book containing sketches and Short stories, with the possibility of Producing Caterwaul through Angry Viking Press as he had intended in the future. Penance might not continue as those pages where given to a friend shortly after his passing however we're working to see if something sill can be done. All art outside of those requested by commissioners for replacements will eventually go up on auction. As you can imagine its a little hard for his family seeing his work getting ready to go, but it will be as per James' request. His websites will be reactivated by his family when the auctions start for those wishing to participate.
Production on the FEL and ARTICA figures was delayed all last year as the Toy company had to change production factories. They assure us FEL should be ready by SDCC or shortly after.
I should be receiving a few Prototypes soon, some of which will be of course going to Kenno himself.
Shawntae Has been finishing up ORIGINS 3-6 and EXTINCTIONERS #18 which also includes the final part of ARCTIC BLUE, the Artica special. From there IDW's Josh Perez will color much of, if not All of Origins 3-6, EXTINCTIONERS 7-15, ARCTIC BLUE/EXTINCTIONERS #18. ANDOROZON:PANDORAS BOX continues to progress with John Alvarez and Ken Singshow.
AKASAKA-san while just finishing up a Eric Sill Poster is getting ready to work on IRINA: THE COLD WARRIOR:
And Diepod is plowing through SENGOKU VALKYRIE. You can see more updates to these and all of our other series on our Tumblr and Facebook pages.
Some of you may know that we were offered a Cameo opportunity in a movie last year. While only I could make it to the movie shoot, a lot of our artists sent material to be used in the movie. The Collected SKUNKWORKS book and the Sheets where just some of the things we had hoped to get screen time in the movie. Unfortunately that was not to be the case, but thanks to Jim's family we where able to bring a few poster copies with us on to the set.
The movie we are slated to appear in is TED 2, which will be in theaters this May and June. Now that the first trailer has been out for three weeks we can finally start talking about it. We're still not sure if our scenes will be used, however our set up managed to get several minutes of screen time during the filming near the climax of the movie and are highly visible, assuming our scenes were not cut. Hopefully some of Jim's art makes it in as well.
More to come later... (if we're not cut)
Can't talk much about the movie just yet or what our role (if any) plays a part in this movie... Because LOL don't want to get sued, nor can we show any other more interesting photos just yet (and yes some of the production staff gave us the ok to take these and afew more photos as long as the more "INTERESTING" ones don't go up before the movie is released)
We're working to get the Toys and the last comics all ready by the movie's release and are even trying to see about getting SKUNKWORKS listed in Diamond's Previews comic catalog. This may be difficult since Diamond has a history of not being to friendly to furry comics, especially of adult nature, but if Diamond does consider listing the SKUNKWORKS book we'll need a strong showing of at least 700 sales. Now 700 books sold may sound like a low number, but Anthro comics have always been a niche market, so be sure to keep a look out and spread the word.
Trying to get SKUNKWORKS listed in Diamond won't effect those of you who have already pre-orderd with your Kickstarter pledge. But for those of you that missed out on the Kickstarter and would like to get any of the SKUNKWORKS Pillows, Posters and the huge Collected book, they will be made available to you as well after the original orders are completed, and we will be happy for your support. All profits will go to Jims family.
We also have new plans for SWIPE and EVIL DIVA and DRAGON LAST
Thank you for your time and continued support.

3rd time in 3 years taken to the Hospital from work. :/
Posted 10 years agoSpent all day in the Hospital today, 3rd time since working at GE that I was taken off work in an Ambulance. My heart was all messed up. The hospital nurses couldn't find a good blood vessel and I was turned into a pin cushion to find one. When they found some the blood came out slow and ice cold, yet I was 97.6.
Yeah I got to get a new job.
Yeah I got to get a new job.
Hmm.. I think my Heart meds are making me depressed.
Posted 10 years agoI haven't been depressed like this in about a year.
not sure if its the meds themselves or the fact that they are lowering my blood pressure and heart rate that, that's causing the depression indirectly. While I have a history of depression all my life, I haven't felt "This way" since the last time I was on heart Meds. So I think that's causing it.
That and being old, ugly and havent' been on a date since I was 15 is also getting to me too. :/

Heart jumped up to 238 today at work. Back on Heart meds.
Posted 10 years agoSOOO I had my first heart issue today in a long while. My heart rate jumped up to 238 at work today. The Nurse was shocked to see my heart beating that fast. It seems that returning to work HAS had a negative effect on my health so much so that I have to go back on heart meds again
My Sick leave is over... And I'm already feeling blegh...
Posted 10 years agoSo yesterday was my First day back to work after Sick leave from my job. The on site doctors, thought it would be best for me to go on sick leave to see if my body recovers from the crap the work environment has done to it over 3 years.
After only 2 days I'm already having negative reactions. Which is both good and bad. Good because I have more evidence, and now photographic documentation of outbreaks and reactions to the place which helps prove theirs a problem, but at the same time its bad because, HOLY CRAP that place really is killing me.

Collected Skunkworks and new comics Update
Posted 11 years agoHello Everyone,
Its been over a month since the last update, and about a month and a half since Jims passing. For those of you who where his fans, I want to thank you all for your kind words here, and on various sites with about Jim. Over the past month I have shown his mother your comments and it warmed her heart that her son entertained so many people. While she was quite active in supporting him, and often going to conventions with him at his start, she still finds it surprising that he was this popular with so many people. So from her she sends her thanks as it has helped her through this time.
Jim's mom will be helping me compile all his works in to the collected Skunkworks as he intended for this kickstater and the fans. I will be traveling down sometime in late November to visit and get everything together and looking to produce the books and pillows as soon as possible some time after. While the Penance and Caterwaul comics weren't part of the kickstater, but planed to be published on their own after, his mother and brother will look to see about finishing his script for those stories and pushing them through Angry Viking Press.
When it comes to the commissions, I have found that at least 3 of you did receive your works before he passed, and he may have had a few more in various states of completion. This is where I will be helping his family sift through and try to match up what of his last works belong to which commissioners. For those he wasn't able to get to, he and his mother feel you still get something. As for the rest of his works. Jim wished it to be ether auctioned off or burned, as understandably he couldn't take it with him and didn't wish for it to take up space in his mothers home. I will be helping his mother set up auctions for all his remaining originals and high quality reproductions to help pay for bills, and repay those commissioners whose work wasn't completed.
Jim wasn't always fan of the digital, and felt more comfortable having his work on the books and the bed sheets hand inked rather than digitally, but we will have the reaming works produced to our best ability.
It was my wish to help Jim not only get the completed Skunkworks out and work on his two other series, but we often talked about Animated shorts, figures/mini figures, and Skunkworks book ends and statues. Its a shame we won't be able to work on these
together now.
As for other things we've been asked to cameo in the background of an upcoming movie. In fact it was around March I received the news. While Jims book wasn't ready in time to make it into the cameo, Some of his art will be in the background with us, as well as the new books just back from the printer, Dragonlast from Satanasov, and Misty The Mouse vol#1 from Dutch!
The Digital copies will be available tonight to those that ordered them while the Print copies will be going out soon. The Artica Toy model has reached its final approval. The 3D CGI model its based on, and the original prototype 3D model converted to Daz/Poser 3D programs, will be sent out.
The print version Evil Diva is moving right long with its new artist John Staton and quite a few animated shorts are planed for release over the next few months and into next year.
And lastly for now, a teaser image of the Pandora's Box Graphic novel. As Ken Singshow and I've been reworking the script it has gone from the original intended 60 pages to now around 94. We also have quite a few guest artists now on board and those surprises will be revealed as the book gets nearer print. This mini series will be a bit darker compared to the normal Andorozon series as Pandora and karabiner clash in central Europe.
Thank you for your continued support and as always if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

A passing. Rest well Jim.
Posted 11 years agoI briefly put up a journal the other day, but took it down until I got confirmation. It seems that Jim,
creator of
skunkworks has passed. In the past few months I've been Silent on the kickstarter
front because of this. He and his mother had requested that I keep things hush hush. as his health
started to get worse... Their was hope he'd get better, but as time went on it just wasn't getting
good for him.
While I never knew him in person, I was always a fan, and talked to him for many years on the
internet, and I was very excited when he wanted to Join Angry Viking Press in 2010.
We had many plans for Skunkedworks, Caterwaul Inc. and Penance, as comic series,
and even animated short ideas up until the past few weeks.
The kicstarter wasn't just to help promote Angry Viking Press, in big part it was to help
Jim get his work out to a much larger audience, and if things went well help with and future
assistance he may have needed. At the time when I started the kickstarter he was not
in best form in his words, but he was still doing good enough, and if you followed him here
and on Inkbunny you saw his regular posts of art and journals. From what hes told me, and
eventually from his mother, he kept trying to get as much art out as he could. He was
fighting what his body was doing to him to help the fans.
As he got worse he told me not to tell you, his fans about his situation until after he passed.
In part as he didn't want people to worry, or to harass me for information, and from what I
hear from other sources... In part that some people where just being terrible people, saying
that he was faking and other not nice things. His friends and family didn't need 2nd and 3rd
hand vitriol coming from the net so I kept my word and said nothing until I knew for sure.
It caused me a big of a depression all last month to keep that secret, as my aunt is too going
through the same situation, and reminded me of my health issues that I got from the chemicals
at my current job over the past 3 years... As a person who loves to help as many people as
I can, It hurts when you can't do anything.
For those of you who helped support us and Jim in the kickstarter, we will be working at
refunding you for the Commissions. For those of you who wanted his books and bed sheets
James had told me a few of his friends where inking his missing pages in the book, and the
Skunkworks girls bed pillows. They will be made available to all the kickstarter backers that
ordered them, and then in limited amounts after his passing, as per his request.
I will give more information as I know it, but as of now this is all that I know.
I want to thank those of you who supported James, with the kickstarter and just him in general over the years.
Thank you Jim for bringing 3 crazy girls and their overworked mom to life with your pen and paper.

creator of

front because of this.
