Posted a week agoWhile I type this, my mouth is still frozen. I had my 2nd tooth extracted today. Everything went well except the fact that the roots were so deep that now I have a gaping hole where the tooth was. It feels weird, but I will get used to it.
TSJ 9/1/2025: Wow.
Posted a week ago6 hours went by too quickly. I had too much fun, but I can't not have fun since a happy DJ is a real good DJ. I don't have anything else to jot down in this entry.
TSJ 8/31/2025: Kind of maddening! Also, DJ Sonic TONIGHT!!!
Posted a week agoSo, I ordered a big breakfast from McDonald's and DoorDash was searching for a Dasher to go get my order, and they had a Dasher way out there that came to the rescue. Geez, I gave the Dasher my sincere apologies that he had to come from quite far for my order... but I am happy that the order will get here soon.
In other news, starting from 9pm until 3am ET, DJ Sonic will be presenting "The Hedgehog Hole" to all of you. So, the music link to listen in is:

http://sl-stream.com:7275
I will not be in Second Life at the time as I will be in Pawpet IRC, the chatroom. I will add a note here... from midnight to 12:30am, there will be an 'Avant Garde' piece.

Posted 2 weeks agoThere were some pop-up thunderstorm cells on in the early morning on Sunday and now again in the afternoon. I wish I had more exciting news to share with all of you, but I guess I can say that I am not having as many cans of Pepsi nowadays because I am trying to stretch the cans of Pepsi that I have left. Tomorrow (Monday), I will be ordering something from McDonald's via DoorDash. Something that I haven't had in a very long while.
I started out with a blank mind and was going to jot down "There will be no journal entries for this week." but then I did think of stuff to say. What a weird way the mind works sometimes, huh? lol

Posted 3 weeks agoAbout 3 to 4 weeks ago, I stumbled over a 'Sonic the Hedgehog Fast Dogs' restaurant in Mexico where they feature Sonic characters and just tonight I found out that there's a 'Pizza Sonic' in Greece with a picture of Sonic on the bottom of its webpage. I mean Sonic is famous but geez louise he's getting MASSIVELY popular around the world now that I found 2 establishments that features him... and yeah I know there's the Sonic Drive-in chain in the states so that's a given.

Posted 3 weeks agoWow, I didn't think I would get 20 minutes of air time on WAG 690 AM. JCollie was supposed to come on the radio at 8:45pm and I got on his station at 8:38pm, so I should have at 7 minutes with the WAG listening audience. I got 22 minutes with a huge listening audience, but I am not complaining.
I am doing this entry while I am currently DJing still until 11pm ET, so if any of you want to come listen to what I play, I will give you the music link again...
http://sl-stream.com:7275
EDIT: My mistake. WAG listeners got 30 minutes of DJ Sonic - from 8:28pm to 8:58pm.

PSA ANNOUNCEMENT ------- DJ Sonic on August 31st
Posted a month agoSince JCollie wrote this -> https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/11193432/ <- I would like to remind all of you...
DenFur, the one that JCollie is going to, will be held from August 29th to the 31st of this year. Now, as a helping hand, DJ Sonic has decided to, once again, help out with The Rabbit Hole, but like last time, I have my own twist on the title... "The Hedgehog Hole" whereas JCollie could call it "The Collie Hole" every Sunday. I guess he wanted to be kind to Romeo Rabbit, but since Romeo is focusing on himself right now, JCollie could easily say "The Collie Hole".
Anyway, DJ Sonic will be on AM 690 and http://www.boomerthedog.com/sonicstream on August 31st at 9pm ET until 3am on Labor Day (September 1st) when those two doggies bark on that lawn of Doggy Radio studios at 3 in the morning.

Posted a month agoThursday, I need to write something right now.
I have been watching a lot YouTube as of late, and mainly long videos of someone travelling the Pacific Coast Highway. It's been fun. Oh! Right. I need to tell every one of you the treat that I had last night (Wednesday night) for supper.
I DoorDash'd some food from a restaurant called "Le Dorchester" and now I am realizing that "Dorchester" and DoorDash sounds a bit similar lol
Anyway, last night's meal consisted of mac and cheese (container was not closed properly so it went all over the place in the bag), vegetarian nachos (don't know what the sauce that they used, but it tasted real good!), burger and fries, and 3 duck wings.
When I eat, I eat.

Posted a month agoRight before I head out the door at 7 in the morning, I must say that the bulge on my cheek ain't pretty, and I hope it's just antibiotics that will do the trick because if they have to perform surgery on me, that will cost me an arm and a leg, but also the government may cover the cost. But right now I am thinking why would they have to perform surgery if it's just buildup of pus?
I am sure I will be fine with no surgery needed. I guess I am just being a bit of a drama queen this morning lol
I wish everyone a glorious day today!
EDIT: Oh yeah, one more thing... I am hopped up on Tylenol right now to lessen the pain while I walk to the dentist.

Posted a month agoWell, tomorrow morning I will be going to the dentist. I need to. Tooth infection has made my cheek swell really bad and is really overly pressurized. I don't feel AS miserable as the last time I had a broken tooth. I remember that I felt like I literally wanted to die at times. This time it's not at that step, but tomorrow all will be better hopefully.
Decided to...
Posted a month agoI decided to start much earlier because I might want to have some time with Sonic later on, and I will think about it later on. The link is very active right now, so I will be on until 7pm ET and while another DJ plays, I will think about it. So enjoy my music while it lasts, alright?

Posted a month agoHAPPY CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!!
If everything goes well, I will be playing Christmas music, but mixed in with some other music since it's not the *REAL* Christmas, but I guess the real reason this tradition started was because when things get too bloody hot during the summer months, it's best to think cold to cool yourself down. And this is what I will be doing - tonight at 9pm all the way to midnight.
I will be on Second Life playing music, as always, but if you don't have Second Life, you can always go here - http://sl-stream.com:7275

Posted a month agoToday I noticed something very weird going on with my laptop. The WiFi suddenly turned off and when I went on my phone I was still getting WiFi. Now, usually what happens is when I lose WiFi on my laptop, I go on my phone and notice that I am on LTE (aka phone data), but yeah it was very weird when I noticed the difference this time, so what I had to do was to reset the network that I have on my laptop and now it's fixed. Technology can be so weird at times.
Now it's time to look into the future on The Sonic Journal... (not a new segment, I'm just writing here)
On Monday, I will be ordering some Thai food and it'll be delivered by DoorDash and then on Tuesday I will be going to my former city of Montreal to visit a few friends of mine, and then in the afternoon I will be heading on the buses to go to different places. I have scheduled a full day of fun for Tuesday. Montreal really is my oyster.

TSJ 7/17/2025: Unknown territory.
Posted 2 months agoNEW RECORD for a power outage... 4 hours and 17 minutes. I couldn't really do much since the power was out so I decided to just take a little nap. I was melting in bed since the air was very heavy, and especially stagnant. Just happy to be back online. I mean I could have used my phone, but I wanted to save my phone battery in case the power outage went on for a lot longer than it did.
This morning I heard something on my local 'public radio' station, CBC Radio One. David Suzuki was talking about it being too late to turn back time on climate change. We all must adapt to this messed up weather, and this is why I have entitled this entry as 'Unknown territory' since we are all heading into unknown territory in terms of weather. I am kind of nervous of what this weather is going to bring all of us in the future.

Posted 2 months agoVolatile weather today in my area. I am happy about the thunderstorms, but there was one in particular at around 4:35 in the morning. It was a pop-up cell. It was good and had some moderate bass. I am seeing more pop-up cells, but all-in-all, CBC Radio says it will be a volatile day today and I do see this on the radar as well.
I just thought of writing something this morning and I am happy that I did because sometimes I am a person full of thoughts.

Posted 2 months agoJust wanted to make an entry today. Something really odd happened to me this morning, early this morning... and it all started yesterday, the 15th.
There was an issue with ordering with Door Dash in my area, they were having technical issues, so I chose a later time... between 5 and 5:20 this morning. Later on in the day yesterday, I tried again and saw that the technical issue was fixed, so I bought something else, which was a Duck Pizza with 2 cans of Pepsi. That was good, but not the best. Just something to tide me over until my delivery between 5 and 5:20 this morning. I decided to stay up all night long for my delivery to come between 5 and 5:20. True, I was getting more and more tired during the overnight hours, but I was very much a trooper since I did manage to stay away, but the next paragraph will just have you thinking, "Well, why isn't this dude up in arms?" and that will be explained very soon.
I was sitting on the "Order Placed" page and when it hit 5am, still no movement. I think I waited until 5:40 or a few minutes later to click on "Help" and me asking "Where's my order?" to where an AI chatbot came back to answer me with "All of our Dashers are not available at this time, but we'll be looking around for the best possible Dasher for you. It will be there by 5:57am." or something along those lines. I wait between 5:45 and 6am, and suddenly, some activity on the page. There was a Dasher just north of me going for the store, that I chose my groceries in, way to the south of me. Now, I try to talk with him, but it buffers and buffers and buffers again. I think there was still an issue, but the page changed from "Picking up order" to "Waiting on order". All of a sudden, I get a text on my phone from the Dasher saying that my chosen store couldn't fulfill my order and they cancelled it.
Well, how about them apples? I mean I stayed up as long as I could thinking that everything would be okay for the delivery, but sometimes things like this happen. I am not angry at all because the service has been top notch until now. Just a little hiccup, that's all.
So I then went to bed and woke up 5 hours and 45 minutes later, approximately.
But Door Dash is a very good service. Not everyone uses it, but for me where I live, it's convenient. Yes, it may cost you a bit more, but hey money helps the world go round (old saying I know).

Posted 2 months agoI saw this and wanted to write about it, it deals with death to all mosquitoes. While they are very much a nuisance, I don't think the world would work without mosquitoes. Yeah just as I expected to find... I did a little research and found out that mosquitoes are food for wildlife, so it's all a part of the circle of life. They're also good for plant pollination and larvae also help in nutrient cycling within aquatic ecosystems.
Now it's time to have my OWN fun - today is a pretty high risk of thunderstorms and I do see something on the radar coming from Ontario. This morning at around 9:07am, there was some thunder, and some rain, and then again at around 10:30 or 10:45. These were popcorn cells, but the more fierce ones will be coming later on, and yeah I really do get excited when it happens. This morning was unexpected and a delightful surprise since these popcorn cells weren't forecasted.

TSJ 7/3/2025: Wowee!!!
Posted 2 months agoThis all started at 3:40pm and it lasted almost until 10:50pm... what am I talking about? Well, John with Fun to be Free -> https://www.youtube.com/@FuntobeFree <- just was in a very good thunderstorm at Walt Disney World, and after it was a DJ right in front of Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom before the fireworks at 9:20pm and they went on for 15 minutes and right before the fireworks started, the DJ said he would be there all night long. john stayed there as long as he could... I guess until he couldn't take it anymore. But yes, wow, he really outdid himself tonight, and the crowd was nuts as the DJ was very very hot!
So yeah, very good thunderstorms, fireworks, and then it transforms into an outdoor club. This really did make my day today.

Posted 2 months agoThese days, man... they don't quite feel the same. This type of weather really puts a damper on my mood because I don't know how I feel. This is not all politically motivated, the weather also plays a huge role in this. I mean, yes, there are some storms, but something really is different about all of this. It's like everything changed in a snap right after my dad passed on. I am not living where I want to be at (my cousin took me away to live with him - he thinks that was what in my dad's testament when there's clearly no indicator that this is what my dad actually said).
Anyway, all that to say that I am typing this offline right now, around 11am, since I got a thunderstorm in my area and needed to get off Second Life since the power might go out. I am still hearing lots of rain outside and I like hearing that.
Despite me having different feelings nowadays, I am doing alright. I guess what I am feeling is the fact that I would like to move back to the city... That is IF I have the money to do so. Why is the cost of living so fudging expensive these days?
Okay lol, I have been having this without posting this for a little while. I have been doing other things with the Notepad minimized, but I really do need to get it posted so I can clear my Notepad for other stuff. My power never went off since it wasn't that big of a storm, just a light storm but with HUGE cracks of thunder.

Last night I was very happy to be throwing on yet another DJ show as if Tuesday's 8-hour show wasn't enough. Yesterday was 4 hours long. I am happy. I have always been happy. I guess it's because I have Sonic to look up to. I really haven't thought about it like that, but it does make sense in a way because when I was aged 13 I started doing bad things to my body and when Sonic came into my life he wanted to correct that once and for all, and I am very happy for this, and this is why I am forever in his debt... doesn't matter that he's a fictional character. Yeah, some call me crazy, but you know what? He really matters to me and that is very important to me.

TSJ 6/24/2025: Forgot something to say here.
Posted 2 months agoThis will be a continuation of the entry right before this, but I remember of the radio stations that I was listening to over there. 92.1 FM, or Moo 92.... WMOO. This station has been on the air for close to 50 years now as far as I am concerned. Another station was on the AM band, 1490 WIKE. There were also some stations from Sherbrooke that I listened to lime 106.1 FM, which is CIMO. French music on there. I don't know if I listened to 102.7 FM, which has been always French adult contemporary music. Now, 91.7 FM, which is CBC Radio One in Sherbrooke, I think I did listen to some of that, but again I was in my teens, and I don't expect myself to remember what I listened to all those years ago, but I remember that 92.1 FM station.
Also, there were a few good thunderstorms too, and they were BIG time ones too. They got me all excited when that happened.
I also forgot to mention meal times at Camp Massawippi at the huge dining hall for the whole camp. I remember the tables were lined up for each cabin... from Cabin A all the way to Cabin M. We had some good grub from all the cooks over there - the meals were always freshly made. There would be announcements too since you had 2 speakers in the corners of the dining hall, and there were some songs that we sang over there too.
There was a building, too, where there was an arts & crafts program. I really did like it there. Once I did a design on a sweater, Paint Splatter, but it was more than just that.
There was a wood workshop as well where there were these machines to do some woodwork. I was just starting to be a Sonic fan in those years so you know what I did? This was very tedious since I had ... scratch that!!! I think I gave a picture to a grown up that had a picture of Sonic on it and they made an exact duplicate of Sonic, but made out of wood! HOW COOL IS THAT?!?!?! Anyway, I guess when I went back to the cabin, I started to color it in the colors that I know Sonic has.

Posted 2 months agoI have something that grinds my gears, but I am not letting it bother me too much since I know what will happen as a result of this.
There is this camp out in the eastern townships, near Sherbrooke, named Camp Massawippi. Now, I wanted to apply for a DJ position over there, but the problem is that they are asking that I pay the same amount of money that the regular people, signing up to be campers, pay. Now, I don't want to have an argument with the owners of this campground, but it would have been nice since I have ALL kinds of music to offer. It's ok. The number haunts me all the time though... 7,068. And this is how much I'd have to pay if I wanted to be there every summer. Well, I will say this, I would like to spend my money elsewhere and plus people need to LIVE! I still need a roof over my head so I will pay whatever I can. My only fear is bankruptcy. Not knowing really how much money I truly have in the bank frightens me just a smidge.
As well, I remember a time where I was faced with the challenge of someone wanting me to play a particular playlist over at the former location of the Action Center in Montreal. There I was able to not pay a lot of money for membership, not like Camp Massawippi's astounding amount of money, which is $999 per week. I have just checked again and yeah these prices are still over-the-top... we're talking about $1,050 for just a 5-night stay to $2,310 for an 11-night stay.
I was really spoiled back in my teenage years since it was my dad paid for my camping experience. I think it was around $300 to $400 per week back in those days, which was a lot more affordable.
I remember it like yesterday, I was really cheerful, though the least fun part about my camping experience was going to the Shower House every now and then since the floor would be so slippery in there and I have a big fear of falling... even today at 48 I still have a big fear. Getting back to me reminiscing about being at Camp Massawippi. There was this big field, where the parking lot was (and perhaps still is?) where there were activities over there and one big one that I remember is one called the 'strawberry social'. I just looked it up and yeah 'strawberry social' is indeed accurate. God bless the Internet... back then the Internet was barely public to the people. Those were fun times, though, those strawberry social events. I also remember hiking into the woods where there were these tents and bonfire. I absolutely adored the experience that I had and had the time of my life while camping about a kilometer (or less) away from Camp Massawippi. I was attacked by mosquitoes but that was a part of the 'camping in tents' experience.
Another great memory was with Mr. Microphone that someone allowed me to borrow. I had a radio that I brought and I really do not not know which band voice was being transmitted, but I think it was on the AM band. I faced it to Lake Massawippi, but the radio volume to maximum and for some odd reason I began giving the marine forecast (but was it really a marine forecast? Remember that I was in my teenage years so I probably shouldn't have done that lol).
So many fond memories that I am spilling my guts over on in this entry... I LOVE IT!!!
Another big memory that I have was (and this was a fond memory) - There was this scheduled walk every few days in the evening called "Wood's Walk" although I think I saw it as "Woods Walk" without the apostrophe on there. It's where we'd all (all of our cabin) would be going on this 2.2-kilometer walk down to Route 141 to the Wood's Snack Bar in Ayer's Cliff. Now I won't tell you where Camp Massawippi is since I don't want to dox them.
I really wish things would go in reverse (just prices and nothing else) and go back to where they once were, but oh well we can't change what already has been done... people want money money money, but also they need to earn a living living living with said money money money lol. I know that some people are greedy but hey, if up upgrade stuff, it will cost more.
By the stuff that people have told me in the past, Camp Massawippi is now modernized and I still have to see it in real life. I want to take a little trip over there some of these days and find out just what the new management has done with the place so that the prices has literally gone through the roof.

TSJ 6/23/2025: Grocery delivery DELAYED!!!
Posted 2 months agoOh my heavens, am I ever so tired right now.... not only are some of my items unavailable, they are now delayed?! Like why?! It's not hard from getting from Point A to Point B, and the only reason that I chose an early hour is for the driver to avoid the heat of the day. Don't know what the problem is.
