TSJ 6/24/2025
Posted 2 months agoI have something that grinds my gears, but I am not letting it bother me too much since I know what will happen as a result of this.
There is this camp out in the eastern townships, near Sherbrooke, named Camp Massawippi. Now, I wanted to apply for a DJ position over there, but the problem is that they are asking that I pay the same amount of money that the regular people, signing up to be campers, pay. Now, I don't want to have an argument with the owners of this campground, but it would have been nice since I have ALL kinds of music to offer. It's ok. The number haunts me all the time though... 7,068. And this is how much I'd have to pay if I wanted to be there every summer. Well, I will say this, I would like to spend my money elsewhere and plus people need to LIVE! I still need a roof over my head so I will pay whatever I can. My only fear is bankruptcy. Not knowing really how much money I truly have in the bank frightens me just a smidge.
As well, I remember a time where I was faced with the challenge of someone wanting me to play a particular playlist over at the former location of the Action Center in Montreal. There I was able to not pay a lot of money for membership, not like Camp Massawippi's astounding amount of money, which is $999 per week. I have just checked again and yeah these prices are still over-the-top... we're talking about $1,050 for just a 5-night stay to $2,310 for an 11-night stay.
I was really spoiled back in my teenage years since it was my dad paid for my camping experience. I think it was around $300 to $400 per week back in those days, which was a lot more affordable.
I remember it like yesterday, I was really cheerful, though the least fun part about my camping experience was going to the Shower House every now and then since the floor would be so slippery in there and I have a big fear of falling... even today at 48 I still have a big fear. Getting back to me reminiscing about being at Camp Massawippi. There was this big field, where the parking lot was (and perhaps still is?) where there were activities over there and one big one that I remember is one called the 'strawberry social'. I just looked it up and yeah 'strawberry social' is indeed accurate. God bless the Internet... back then the Internet was barely public to the people. Those were fun times, though, those strawberry social events. I also remember hiking into the woods where there were these tents and bonfire. I absolutely adored the experience that I had and had the time of my life while camping about a kilometer (or less) away from Camp Massawippi. I was attacked by mosquitoes but that was a part of the 'camping in tents' experience.
Another great memory was with Mr. Microphone that someone allowed me to borrow. I had a radio that I brought and I really do not not know which band voice was being transmitted, but I think it was on the AM band. I faced it to Lake Massawippi, but the radio volume to maximum and for some odd reason I began giving the marine forecast (but was it really a marine forecast? Remember that I was in my teenage years so I probably shouldn't have done that lol).
So many fond memories that I am spilling my guts over on in this entry... I LOVE IT!!!
Another big memory that I have was (and this was a fond memory) - There was this scheduled walk every few days in the evening called "Wood's Walk" although I think I saw it as "Woods Walk" without the apostrophe on there. It's where we'd all (all of our cabin) would be going on this 2.2-kilometer walk down to Route 141 to the Wood's Snack Bar in Ayer's Cliff. Now I won't tell you where Camp Massawippi is since I don't want to dox them.
I really wish things would go in reverse (just prices and nothing else) and go back to where they once were, but oh well we can't change what already has been done... people want money money money, but also they need to earn a living living living with said money money money lol. I know that some people are greedy but hey, if up upgrade stuff, it will cost more.
By the stuff that people have told me in the past, Camp Massawippi is now modernized and I still have to see it in real life. I want to take a little trip over there some of these days and find out just what the new management has done with the place so that the prices has literally gone through the roof.

TSJ 6/23/2025: Grocery delivery DELAYED!!!
Posted 2 months agoOh my heavens, am I ever so tired right now.... not only are some of my items unavailable, they are now delayed?! Like why?! It's not hard from getting from Point A to Point B, and the only reason that I chose an early hour is for the driver to avoid the heat of the day. Don't know what the problem is.
TSJ 6/23/2025: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SONIC!!!
Posted 2 months agoYes, my blue boy is 34 years old today. HORRAY! He's getting older, but he still is relevant in every Sonic fan all over the world.
TSJ 6/22/2025
Posted 3 months agoOnly 1 more day until Sonic's 34th birthday. I can't wait!!!
Anyway, I want to tell you that yes, I did hear a few rumbles of thunder and a saw a few lightning strikes early on this morning, but I was so bloody tired after watching the 'Instant Weather' YouTube channel since they were livestreaming the radar. A few of those cells were tornado-warned that included just west of Ottawa, Mallorytown, and Brockville. I don't know about Kingston but I know that Kingston had a whole lot of storms with this.
I really thought that this system would have possibly made a beeline for my area, but for some reason it dropped further south. I mean I was excited, but I just couldn't stay up to enjoy the beauty of the storm. Yeah, there was a wide area of storms, but I didn't get the nasty part of it... Central Ontario did and its exiting city was Kingston. Watertown NY, I am sure, got a very abrupt wake-up call. At some point during the night, the weather station down there went offline while this monster of a storm kept on marching south.

Posted 3 months agoHappy Summer, guys! There's supposed to be some thunderstorms heading through the area. I mean they do say 100%, but there was an 80% risk on either June 18th or 19th. 100% is pretty imminent so I will see. I am all over the radar.

Posted 3 months agoI started this entry at 10:45 at night to say to everyone that it's almost my 48th birthday. I don't need much from people, and if there are people watching me that listen to Doggy Radio, well the more the merrier I'd say - all this to tell you that a simple happy birthday will make me happy.
I hope you guys have a great day tomorrow and the rest of the week.

Posted 3 months agoAlright, time to get busy. Since Boomer politely reminded me that it's been an entire week with a no-show from this hedgehog, I will just inform you all that there's just 2 more days to my 48th birthday.
Also, in other news... I have been suffering through a tiny headache due to wildfire smoke from Western Canada. But that's okay since I survived. I also got some pending groceries to buy. I am just waiting for my money to come in and then I'll be all set.
That's all for now.

Posted 3 months agoDoing this from my phone this time. The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season is here. I, as a weather hedgehog, am going to monitor the skies in the Atlantic basin for troubles coming to the USA.
Anyway, I need to sleep since it’s 3:30 in the morning.

Posted 4 months agoWell, Boomer the Dog, who watches my account for these entries for his Doggy Radio show (Doggy Radio, every Monday mornings at 3am ET -> http://boomerthedog.com/radio/ <- this is just a shameless plug from the Sonicmeister) was worried about me after downing a whopping 30 dumplings. Yes, it was an extraordinary feat that I did, but they were oh so yummy. What I did was that I took out two plates, 15 on one and 15 on the other.
I guess that is all for now, but before I wrap it up, I got a rant I'd like to make... 9 days that I made an entry, and this literally feels like when you travel on the road by vehicle and you see a sign that says "Next service exit in 45 miles" or something along those lines. The next thing I will speak about will be kind of silly, but when you space entries out like that best you want to take a break, it's not like you're on the road and you stop at a Rest Area... no no, it does not work like that at all when I write up an entry on here... there's no cop who's going to write a ticket up, but if you stop like for a few hours on the shoulder of an Interstate and not go to a proper Rest Area, then you will be sure to meet up with a cop, also known as Highway Patrol.

Posted 4 months agoTonight, I just had 6 + 6 + 6 dumplings (that is 3 boxes). 18 dumplings all at once, and boy were they ever so good!!! This was my supper. At the end, I wanted to drink the remainder of the sauce, but ooh boy that was a STRONG taste. Yes, I still have Pepsi so that's good. Happy Mother's Day by the way. I am late, yes, but better late than never.

Posted 4 months agoIn the early early hours, I just wanna say that I did a DJ show on Second Life for 5 hours... Monday from 10pm to Tuesday at 3am. I really did enjoy myself although I was bloody tired. Don't know how I am still awake typing this and watching YouTube. Had to charge my phone as well. Eh, I am all over the place with my sleep schedule as most, if all, of you know.

Posted 4 months agoHappy Cinco de Mayo everyone. I feel Mexican.
I want to say that I sent Boomer the wrong E-Mail since I wanted to send said E-Mail to the Disney livestreamer, John with Fun to be Free. He goes live every single day at 2pm ET at the Walt Disney World resort and he does all 4 parks. (Shameless plug for him by the way)
I remember mistaking E-Mail addresses like 5 to 10 years ago when I was living in LaSalle, so I guess some history is repeating for me lol

TSJ 4/30/2025: Canadian elections was 2 days ago.
Posted 4 months agoThis hedgehog didn't vote since I could care less about who wins, but more importantly, there was an incident in Vancouver BC where a Sports Utility Vehicle ran into a group of people attending an event (old news, but still needs to be talked about). Officials say that the driver was not well in the brain when this happened. I don't know what can be done.
Now I understand that there are some messed up people in the world, but to deliberately run down a group of people like that? Why did that driver have a license in the first place? Mind you, this sort of events don't happen as much as in the states, but it still is worrisome.

TSJ 4/23/2025: This is interesting to me.
Posted 4 months ago41875 views... Makes me think of a certain FM frequency. I have a 87.7 WVOA in my music directory (song coming up after Boomer reads this entry on Doggy Radio). WVOA was Love Radio in Syracuse NY and it was on Channel 6 on TV in the area. There was another guy on YouTube that said along with 87.7 FM being rebroacasted on TV had those Atari looking squares that were in tune with the audio of the FM station. I don't have anything else to say after that, but I will say that the song that is going to be featured immediately after this entry has been read, is from a video I saw where a TV was displayed with Channel 6 and those squares playing 87.7 FM Love Radio.
Now, I have always wondered why 87.5 FM was never used before. Maybe at drive-ins, but I remember when I went to a drive-in theater (not the best experience I had since I did have shorts on... if was summer time but the night was very coolish. I was shivering, geez) and there were 2 screens. One was for 88.9 FM and the other one was 89.9 FM. I found that interesting. I should have brought my own Skywave radio and tune it to 88.9 FM, but I didn't... anyway I am getting off-topic here. Yeah, 87.5 FM... radio is still hot in 2025. Yeah, we have cell phones that can access Internet radio and other radio stations that broadcast online, but with me being oldskool, and I am sure Boomer too, I will say where's the fun in that? Technology is technology, but we need to keep the old-fashioned radio blazing hot... as hot as we can!
Now, with that out of the way, DJ Sonic presents you with the song that I heard on Channel 6 (87.7 WVOA in Rochester NY)... Jericho by Andrew Ripp.
(Don't read this part on the air Boomer. The following is the full song on YouTube for my other watchers. A clearer version is going to be sent over to you Boomer)

Posted 5 months agoWHOA! 13 days without a peep from me. Oh well, it's all Gucci. I just ordered myself some food and then when I finish, I'll be all good to DJ some. Short one today though. Happy Easter everyone, and happy 4/20!
TSJ 4/6/2025: Sonic Record Pool?
Posted 5 months agoI love what Boomer said in an E-Mail to me and this was in his subject line. Yeah, he gave me a slew of songs to try out and only ONE of them managed to get in. Of course I thanked him.
TSJ 4/3/2025: Clogged no more!!!
Posted 5 months agoI am so fudging happy! I managed to unclog the toilet on my own, and it took me one last try before the plumber was to be here tomorrow morning. I didn't know that I would be able to succeed since I did flush quite a bit of raw green beans down there, and the trap is very small so I don't really know how it managed to go through. The plumber will cancel his trip over here and I will be able to save my money. It's a win for me and the plumber (I will name him Mario since Mario is a plumber, Mario on Nintendo) has just lost since he doesn't have a toilet to fix any longer lol. He will not get my money, so long as I don't flush down anymore things that don't belong in the toilet. MAN did I ever learn a hard lesson.

Posted 5 months agoSciggles did a funny thing for April Fool's 2025 lol. I think the font she used to apply on everyone's account was Comic Sans, but don't quote me on that. And the banner she used, omg, don't get me started on that. I mean it was a nice change for the day, but I am happy that it's now over with and everything went back to normal.
Even *I* was kind of uncertain if it would stay like that or not.

TSJ 3/31/2025: Right at the tail end of Doggy Radio.
Posted 5 months agoI found it funny that my WiFi connection cut out right then. I was able to E-Mail Boomer with my phone while the WiFi was still out. It tends to reset itself every now and then. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say today. Have a super day.
TSJ 3/30/2025: JaSonic's 'Thought Of The Moment'
Posted 5 months agoWell here I am again talking about the weather. Boomer says that there might be some problematic storms for Doggy Radio. As it stands now, at 11:08pm the evening before Doggy Radio, Pittsburgh is in a Severe Thunderstorm Watch according to NOAA. I have seen a tornado watch area and a few tornado warnings... none close to Boomer though thankfully. Anyway, as Boomer stated, 150 characters and then it's HARD OUT for this entry. NOPE!!! I can talk all I want on here. But yeah the weather is very wacky and I told Boomer to prepare for a lot more wackiness in the weather as time presses on.
Geez, even Ontario got hit with a major ice storm on Saturday and knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people. I was spared... where I am, I was looking at the radar and I was on the FRINGE of it. *Asking a friend in Montreal if there was a major ice storm that happened there, but goes to see Hydro Quebec's website instead* Nope, no major ice storm in Montreal, I am glad. Maybe a few centimeters of ice accretion, but nothing too major.

Posted 5 months ago(Message to Boomer: Please don't read this one over WAG 690 AM since it's very disgusting)
Since this past Thursday, I have been dealing with a clogged toilet... all because of my stupid self wanting to see if I can flush raw green beans down the toilet (they were going bad). Well, this is when the toilet said "Nah uh, not today buster!" and I completely clogged it. I don't wanna poop in the shower, trust me I did that once and it wasn't the best idea I had. It was either that or use my cousin's toilet, and he wouldn't be too happy with me. I still feel like an idiot right now since it was my second poop during the clog and now it's really backed up. I don't wanna flush it since all that poop will overflow and will go all over the floor... something that I definitely don't want to happen, so I dare not flush.

TSJ 3/29/2025: JaSonic's highlight of early Saturday morning
Posted 5 months agoI was listening to this past Monday's Doggy Radio and I heard Ricochet's long burp. I giggled over here as he ended with "It's good to be gross." Well, Ric, I would have to say on a little show like Doggy Radio it is, but I am sure on big-time radio stations the FCC wouldn't find that funny one bit and try to get that person fired at any way possible.

Posted 6 months agoWell that went by fast. I am no longer a part of the 'F Donuts' gang because of something that happened in the chat room (don't ask). I am ok without being tight down to that. That warm cozy fireplace that he had going on was nice though. Things need to keep moving forward all the time.
TSJ 3/12/2025: I must do this.
Posted 6 months agoOkay, lots to talk about in this one starting with this past Friday evening where I needed to fill in for a DJ named Dakken, which was fine. Everyone had a blast with my music, so I went on to do that long nine-hour stream on Saturday where only a few showed up, but that is fine. That was the day when I was broadcasted to WAG 690 AM since I told Boomer via E-Mail. I then went on to DJ Monday, Tuesday, and then I was thinking of doing a long stream today on Wednesday, but nah I don't want to burn myself out so I have found this YouTube channel named 'F Donuts'. During the weekends he does a lot of things on his stream and then on the weekdays he just leaves the stream on all day while we all talk to one another in the chat box that is provided for us. He has calming soothing music for us all to enjoy.
I guess that is all to this point. Oh yeah, and my 'adventures with Sonic' has been very few nowadays, but it's whatever, you know? I mean with him just being here, the one that I snuggle, is enough to get my heart to skip a beat. Yes, this is how much I love him.
