Warning - Impersonator
Posted 6 years agoHi there,
If you see someone else, sharing my art on a discord Channel and saying they own that art: IT IS NOT ME! I'm sticking to only 2 discords channel that are private and with my friends. I've been warned someone is sharing art related to my comic Djandora (which i don't mind) and possibly RPing Djeneba (Which I don't mind either) but they credit themselves as the creator (Which I do mind). They have been ban from a D&D server but came back under Djeneba's name.
That same person who warned me are taking care of the situation. But be warned, if you see that person.
Thanks you.

JassBefrold commission Forecast ?
Posted 8 years agoSo, here I am in Montréal, Canada.
I'm going to open commission this year if everything is as flat as those 2 weeks i spend here.
3D characters (as NSFW) are going to be a thing with 3D spaceship as well. Prices are obviously going to be based on the among of time it's gonna take to make = Based on the amount of details.
So yeah, if you guys have any ideas and commissions ideas, start to think about it, but also think pro, because I no longer want to make cheap work that I can't even show on a portfolio. Plus if you want to use my service for a month, it should feed me you know.
3D characters, if they aren't complicated, nor use PBR and realistic texturing, should take around 1week or 2, to give you an example.
Otherwise for the 2D art, everything is the same, except prices are still on matter of details and time consumptions.
So now, you guys know. This year is going to be hella busy. Feel free to think about things up you want. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Judgmental "standardisation" of art
Posted 11 years agoI love art. To the point that I’ve made art my passion and my job. I’ve learned a lot about it, learned about our predecessors through art history, learned the conception and its philosophy. Art is a way for any human being to shapes and forms their opinions and fantasies. Art is consider as important as free speech.
.
But today, in this ‘I’m offended’ society, people that has never touch a graphic pen nor an art history book, decide and acts to censors/restrict this freedom. Facebook, Deviant Art, Newgrounds, etcs… . The excuse is: “We try to please everyone and not offend anybody by censoring it that way.”
.
Basically… these private web platforms, in order to avoid offending, prefer to accept and listen people’s intolerance by censoring other people's freedoms of expression! Which is totally stabbing their own excuse… because they are already culprits of offending peoples by censoring them directly! Anti-democratic and anti-constitutional.
.
Some says this censoring rules exist to protect the “sensible” minds, whatever the reason. Yet, without any evidence, proof or fact that this piece of art, will really harm someone. Studies and justice has been clear: “Nobody can use a piece of art (video games, movies, books, art, etc…) as an excuse for your action!”. More so, constitutional laws in France and USA protects art on all its forms! EVEN if a majority of people doesn’t like it, they have NO RIGHT to stop you from expressing yourself ! (See the Fauvism art movement. Salon d’automne 1905 - Bad critics).
.
Yes. You cannot use any form of art to excuse your actions or your lack of good parenting for example. All it does, is showing that you are denying your responsibilities by accusing other fantasy creations.
.
Art is protected that way because it is not real, no matter how much realistic looking, you can make it. Yet, people want to apply real life rules on fantasy! What matters the most in a piece of art, is the messages and the intentions it was made of… less than the rough content. To that point, nudity in art is a fact and not a synonym of erotics nor pornography! Even in real life a naked human doesn’t mean this person is looking for sex.
.
Simply, these websites prefer to promote intolerance, ignorance and speculation over and/or against freedoms of speech, learning, constitutional laws and logics (studies). It is why, many museum over the world, are open to all audiences, no matter the content if you compare these websites rules. (Except some pornographic theme subject that require parents discretion). It is also why there is so many nude statues in public, to all audiences.
.
As an artist, I have to face this problem when it comes to display my art on internet. If I wish to draw realistic or a fantasy version of a middle age african period, I would be censored for nudity. I already been censored(restricted) for breasts nudity and even my content removed from another website. While in the other hand, documentaries about very deep tribes societies are not censored for nudity. Am I really the only one being bugged about those website? How a piece of art could be judged harder while it is not even real…?
.
These ‘fake’ arts museum website and other platforms just copy/paste these ridiculous rules to each others without even asking themselves if they were right. Or were they even come from. These rules are even anti-constitutional… proves that they do not care about art. Their attitudes are pure misinformation and make people believe that they are following the law. That says, there is a solution yet, they do not make any efforts. With internet and computer, we can use blacklisting tags, respecting and letting each individuals to make their choice, but rather than that, they decided the judgemental censorship (restrictions for some) method.
.
These websites with those rules are NOT your friends. They won’t teach you art, they won’t teach its laws, they won’t protect you. No matter how much of your participation nor arguments, nor good will.
.
Many things on this planet has been created to prove that their method is totally judgemental. One of the best example I could give is “Kirikou and the sorceress.” A west African fairy tales for kids. It won awards and been enjoyed by kids, teenagers and adults. There is nudity and topless in it. I exchanged few words on mails with the creator and you won't believe how much trouble he has to face some of these private institutions for those same stupid reason I described. If it is not a enough prove that is harmless and perfectly acceptable… What are their evidence against it?

The treason of Images: Is a concept made by the surrealist René Magritte in 1928-1929. "This is not a pipe"...but explain that is a representation of a pipe. You cannot use this pipe, nor stuff it, nor smoke it. It's a picture. Explaining also, that art cannot be judge as reality. This gun, this character or this pair of breasts are representation. They are not real.
