Zootopia is about prejudice but you don't know how
Posted 7 years agoIn the movie all the animals (except Clawhausser) act with similar behaviors to their real world animal equivalents yet everyone treats them their stereotypes.
In Judy's case rabbits are often seen as timid but rabbits often are fearless in the face of impossible odds and do tend to harbor an instant prejudice against predators whether they're a threat or not. This is often why when rabbits are introduced to dogs the rabbit tends to go on the attack and literally try to kill what you'd think they would be running away from. People's pet dogs have been mauled to death by rabbits if the rabbit really cares about it. Otherwise a hasty retreat is their defeat option. Rabbits normally act this way if they feel like they have something to protect like the den where their babies are. Judy wants to be a police officer because she wants to help people and so her determination is not at all out of character.
Young foxes scrap with other children their age so the reason why one attacked Judy makes sense but Nick was probably the runt of the litter since he was too gentle when in the scouts and runts in foxes normally sit back and observe and use their knowledge to give them the edge in a pack. Him using the things he learned to his advantage is exactly what he would do but unfortunately in his case he learned not to trust or respect others because of the way he was treated and that's how he turned into a criminal. It makes perfect sense that the bully that picked on Judy as a child is working for the rabbit family. Foxes are by nature very timid and it would be easy for a rabbit who can be much more controlling to manipulate them, especially if the fox can't use their predator abilities in civilized society.
Duke you could say is acting very much like their stereotype but then again weasels are very athletic, very good at exploiting opportunities and rather impulsive. That means they are likely to be the kind of person who would wheel and deal the kinds of things taken off the back of a delivery truck. Now that doesn't incline towards evil though. The same kind of person could be any kind of dealer even without breaking the law or even being that devious.
Bellweather is the best example by far. Sheep are extremely social and use that social ability to control complex networks of friendships so the idea of them having a hidden scheme makes sense. They can in fact fight and fight rather well when they are not following the flock, especially the females, which is not what people expect. Males tend to be violent more frequently but females choose their battles wisely and go much further beyond where males would consider reasonable force. Bellweather being oppressed by the mayor she probably went to huge lengths to specifically attack him alone and the other predators are simply the means justified by the cause.
i know there's a lot more animals but this is already too long.

Yes I have an animal OC, no I do not yiff in hell
Posted 7 years agoDespite what the fanworks portray, I find humans attractive and not animals or some kind of hybrid.
My OC is a goat because I want to be a goat.
I like goats just not in that way, not even when they're anthropomorphic.
To me goats are my kinfolk and are more like family members.
I mean, I can look at a goat and be like "wow. they're attractive.", but that doesn't mean I'm gonna get a boner.
Just like normal people can look at an attactive human go by and be like "wow. look at THAT piece of ass.", that doesn't mean they're now horny.
In case you haven't noticed, in all my Sammu works Sammu has a relationship with a human.
That's not because I hate furries or anything. I've seen so much furry content posted to me that I can tolerate it rather well and give the occassional thumbs up if it's pretty good or give advice if it's pretty bad.
It's just that furries don't appeal to me that much.
So why oh why John did you make a goat OC? If you like humans, why not a human?
Because, in the world of fiction you can be anything you want to be.
Why settle for a human when you can have a badass goat with a human-like brain?
The human body's not great. The skin damages easily, the head can't take even the slightest knock to it, you gotta wear clothes because there's no fur to keep you warm, you can only look in 1 direction at a time, you have these weird deformed feet that seem to be bad at literally every type of travel..,
Just face it, as a species, we're a bit of a mess.
The only thing we have going for us is our brains.
But who say's my OC can't have human brains but the body of a goat?
Surely that's the best of both worlds right?
So yeah I guess I'm a furry, but I won't be the one yiffing in hell.

Dirt is scary dangerous (Albion)
Posted 7 years ago"What? You think that guy from that cartoon show is so special? Let me show you what sand can really do. That guy's a PUSSY compared to me!"
Nice jab at Gaara from Naruto there. That did not go unnoticed.
His powers are interesting because at first you think sand is just going to act like it does in anime and leave a few tiny scratches and splash away like water when it's struck.
But oh how wrong you are. As Dirt explains sand locks together and so it can easily be as strong as solid rock or potentially even stronger since sand can absorb force like a cusion and since it's already made of particles it doesn't break apart when hit with force merely gets a hole in it the size and shape of the thing hitting it. Also one huge advantage sand has over all the other elements is friction. it's surface is the same as sand paper and as we've seen even a glancing blow has the filing capable of sawing half way through someone's head.
I like how it was handled in Albion. Aard, yeah remember that guy with the superfluous tissue disorder who looks like a rejected character design from the hulk movie, well he explains that the thick skin, bone and muscle fibre around his body acts like a motorcycle outfit. Dirt couldn't use the friction to his advantage in the fight because he was barely penetrating Aard's skin. But Dirt's more experienced than aard and covered Aard's face with sand so he's suffocate.
Interesting thing is that Dirt sees himself as greater than his master Afhden who's actually a Diit and technically a living god. Summarizing that it took 6 of the other Diit to take Afhden down he also assumes himself as being greater than all the Diit combined. He's increadibly bitter about not being officially a Diit since his master still lives. In Dirt's mind Afhden being incarcerated means he should be stripped of his Diit title which in Dirt's mind means that title would fall down to Afhden's second in command which of course is Dirt.
With the Diit refusing to budge on this issue telling Dirt that he'd have to earn the position as Afhden did meaning that Diithood doesn't flow down the ranks to give Dirt credit he actually does man up and start trying to be worthy of the position sticking to the no kill rule as much as he can. However Dirt still bends the rules at first brutally disfiguring one guy and then when he's told he went too far by permanently scarring them contorting another guy to sprain most of the muscles in his body so he can win without causing permanent damage. When he suffocates Aard in a later fight as a last ditch attempt to win he says Aard will be okay because he didn't suffocate him enough to kill him but when Aard's friend explains that the superfluous tissue around Aard's body acts like a vice making it difficult for Aard to breathe normally Dirt panicks and improvises his sand technique on the spot to work as an artifial resperator to bring Aard around. After doing so and seeing that Aard is okay it's at that point when Dirt starts having terrifying flashbacks of his death where he was buried alive by some other kids when he was a child because he was a social outcast that was into petrology.
However as we learn he's no mere obsessed nerd as the other kids saw him. He's actually a consultant on geological issues and analysis even at the age of 7. His talent was unparalleled by anyone alive or dead. He had an affinity with rocks that enabled him to be able to analyse them in such detail that he didn't need the aid of even a microscope even recognizing the past presence Oganesson isotopes by the condition of the material around it. A feat no human or machine is even capable of today. When asked how he did it he explained that it's not something you can explain to someone else, you have to see it for yourself, before correcting himself and saying that it's actually more like a feeling.
From this description it could be possible that young Dirt was actually a native magic user and without the aid of any teachings in the subject matter or if indeed he came from Earth without the aid of even the Mage machine being active during his life time. The is quite a revelation because this is supposed to be impossible as nobody is supposed to have the spiritual capacity to understand the laws of the universe intrinsically especially when he's only 7 years old. Dirt might very well be a god of Earth's own dimension incarnate but be unaware of it at such an early age.
One annoying thing is that we never discover his actual name as he goes by the name Dirt today and no-one who knows him today knows any other name and we find out in the the flashback that the kids in school call him Dirt as an insult, which is a name he grabbed with both hands and took for himself even getting his own mother to refer to him by that name when in his presence which she happily accepts thinking of it as a phase. Even the scientific community uses the name Dirt as a buzzword for him as seen in the articles in the scientific magazines. When he gives a speech at a seminar a man from the crowd asking a question accidentally calls him Dirt before appologizing to which Dirt says that it's quite alright and explains that he'd rather be known as Dirt because it expresses his affinity with the Earth.
It actually shows an interesting side to him as when we see him around the other kids he looks like a typical social outcast but when you see him around adults you discover the reason he doesn't get along with the other kids is because he's actually already much more mature than them and more like an adult in a child's body, which his unfortunate mother fails to grasp somewhat living in denial of her own child's maturity and intelligence, not even noticing how out of the two Dirt is actually looking after her rather than the other way around.
I personally found the story fascinating as it speaks to me on a similar level even if a bit extreme. Though the study of rocks is definitely not my thing. Some people have said that Dirt's backstory is remarkably similar to the backstory of Mole from Disney's Atlantis which was never used because it may be considered too dark to have a character, a child even, buried alive in a kid's film, even if we know it's a flashback so we know they'll be okay in the end.
It looks like Dirt's past might be the route of both his violent behavior and possibly his arrogance too as I imagine he's probably not such a great petrologist anymore compared to people with magic powers and is bitter about people beating him in that field too when he used to be the talk of the entire petrologist community.
His power level might be considerably higher than he's showing as well as in one fight when someone tried to hit him he turned his body into what i can best describe as nothing but bloody soup which disolves into the ground and then the fighter turns around and sees Dirt reconstruct his body out of minerals from the ground to which the opponent yells out that it's impossible and has to be a trick since no-one can construct an entire human body out of nothing but minerals just about getting out that he'd have to construct all the hundreds complex molecules in the body perfectly and in the exact right structure to form cells claiming that people can barely make a pint of blood in seconds not an entire human body before Dirt takes him out with a very solid punch of sand to the chest.
I get the feeling that Dirt is going to be a pretty powerful and significant character in season 3. Gotta admit Albion is constantly throwing me for a loop right now. I have no idea where this is going.

Posted 7 years agoJust looked at the weather report.
we had a wave of snow coming our way and it just did an initial d right around where we live.
instead we're gonna get a ton of rain but luckily the ground will be so cold it will freeze into ice.
so not only are we not going to ge any snow but we are also going to get bitter cold rain and the floor is gonna be one big sheet of slipper ice that gonna mess up walking just as bad as taking a vehicle.
it's also gonna be so foggy you can't see an inch in front of your face so it's not even gonna be good to look at.
geee thanks Trump.

London cops are shit at their job
Posted 7 years agoSo a friend of mine was baking a cake whilst a neighbor was visiting and the neighbor saw some dust sprinkled on top and asked my friend what it was to which he replied "cocoa powder".
Later that day the cops come bursting into his house knocking the door in and arrest him on charges of drug trafficking.
Apparently the neighbor misunderstood and thought the brown powder was cocaine.
She now owes him a new door.

Posted 7 years agoSo it turns out Sam can use the crux ability to make Versus respawn a galaxy after he destroys it, therefore enabling Sam's power level to remain constant.
Sam doesn't even need to be that powerful, as long as the person attacking him is as powerful as the person themself, if you get my drift.
Talk about abusing the system. That's a pretty basic cheat code but it's damn useful.
In Sam's words "Fight smarter, not harder.".

Scientists have discovered the goat word for humans
Posted 7 years agoBy analyzing certain expressions made when goats perform certain actions scientists have discovered what word most goats use to describe humans. the word is- *drumroll please*
Nipple Hooves
I'm laughing for real right now. I suppose it makes sense because human fingers resemble goat nipples but that is hilarious.
The other common word used to describe humans is Big Bad Wolf.

Posted 7 years agoI've discovered where i lived in my past life
Posted 7 years agoI have a lot of memories from a past life but i've never been able to identify the location despite knowing it really well by now. I kinda figured out that it was near the arctic because of the orcas but also near the UK because of the puffins. However this knowledge hasn't helped me as I've never found anywhere that matches up to the place I knew and I kinda came to the decision that i must have compiled random bits of knowledge together rather than it being a real place. However, i was looking up penguins online for a completely unrelated matter and the fact they were preyed on by Skua came up. Instantly I remembered that the Skua was on the island i remembered but the information people gave me made no sense. They said it was from the antarctic and when they showed me pictures it didn't look quite like the bird i recognised. A quick search revealed that there was an artic Skua that was local to the Faroe islands and then everything clicked into place. All the animals i knew but couldn't find anywhere were specific to the island. That's why i never found any i recognised when searching the web. I seem to remember working on a sheep farm but i'm pretty sure that wasn't my normal job. Regardless, I lived right next to where the sheep were and had somewhat of an affinity with them since they were right next door and i had to pass the farm on my daily commute. funny, i don't remember much about work but i remember the house i lived in and seeing the sheep outside from the window. there was a small drystone wall i used to climb over to get into the farmer's field so i could see the sheep up close and they would come to me even without the offer of food if i just sat there a bit. I was very much an outdoors type and walked huge distances up and down hills though I don't think that was part of my job. I think I died by drowning, most likely in a car that was submerged because I remember panicking underwater inside a small cabin and trying to smash my way out unsuccessfully and passing out. The water was very very cold like ice water but i don't think my car fell through ice. It went down a slope sideways like a ditch but into deep water enough to sink the whole car. I remember the Skuas. They were nasty and attacked people on the coastline who were trying to fish. Maybe I can use this information to find out who i was.
This is really weird. I think I was a doctor or veterinarian as my job but I kinda did both. Like one was my job but my knowledge spilled over somewhat into the other area. I treated joints in people but also did vet work on a farm. One was my job and the other I did out of well meaning. The place where I worked though was very white or a pale color like light grey, cream or faded pastel colors. I think I've treated both humans and pets on occassion but i'm not sure which i did at the 'clinic?'. certainly a lot of the complaints seem to be fairly minor so i don't think i'm a surgeon. Something more like a general practitioner or more on the analytical side rather than treatment but i can prescribe medicine.
there's a town i work in but i don't live inside the town. it's on the coast where people go fishing. i have to drive down from outside the town to get there. this sounds counter intuitive but nobody seems to question it like it's completely normal. maybe that might also be a clue.
the way to work takes me along a road with a sort of slope on the coastal side which i suppose you might call a cliff but it's really not very high above the water level and not so much a drop as more of a slope you might slide down in a vehicle or on foot. it levels out at the bottom so this can't be where i died. the land's too flat at the beach at the bottom so the water ain't too deep.
the sheep farms are easily visable from the beach where the fishermen are. it really wouldn't take a minute to walk from one to the other. at some places there's barely a handful of houses separating the two. it's certainly no city i live in.
shame i remember full video of walking around the area but rarely encounters with people and when i do what they say sounds like gibberish to me. my past self can certainly understand them in the memories but me now looking at the interaction i'm completely clueless. it's like 2 foreigners talking to each other in their own language.
i think i did walks to stay fit and i walked up and down the roads alone. in fact i'm fairly sure i didn't have a significant other or if i did it must be very much like a mother instead. There wasn't any sexual attraction going on. However this guy seems more normal than me as his eyes ocassionally wander toward attractive people. Seems like a male especially since he's looking at women.
Seems mature beyong his years but not completely antisocial. A responsible individual who's not shy of work and hard labor if need be. However they strike me as more of the thinking type rather than entertained by exciting things. Certainly a rather chill kind of person but really too serious.
