If you are wanting something for a convention at any point in 2024, we highly recommend applying for a custom when we reopen in January 2024. We work via a waitlist. Once that waitlist is filled up with a year's worth of work, we close it until we are caught up. You can fill out a commission form and request for it to not be reviewed for a slot until later in the year. We are very flexible with our clients and future clients!

Good day everyone! After giving this a read, we would super duper appreciate some feedback!

In the next few weeks or so, we are going to be taking 2-3 weeks off of all custom work. What will we be doing, you may ask?? Well, we haven't had a convention in a while and our online store hasn't been filled up in quite a while. So! We are going to take a mental break from custom commission stress and focus all our energy onto making a ton of new stuff!!

While we have plenty of claws laying around (shown in a previous post), we aren't sure if we want to make only clawed gauntlets? Is that all you jingly enthusiasts want to see or would you also like a good variety of non-clawed projects available? And do we make matching tails for those or a bunch of stand alone tails?

Thats why we need your feedback!

We would love to know
1. What kind of items do you want to see? We can make a ton of small stuff, a ton of big stuff, or a good variety. We can focus on gauntlets, tails, or matching sets!
2. What color schemes should we make?? Has there been some designs we're missing out on or do you love seeing fiery, icy, earthy gradients and other popular ones we have done in the past?

While we are always thankful for the huge custom queue we keep yearlong, we usually have a month long break or two in that year for convention making fun. But with the obvious world events, that's just not happening. But we can still make a ton of new stuff and this year, we want to include your feedback!

So let us know what you think we should include. You can tell us one thing or write a novel! If you have multiple ideas, please create your own comment thread (replying to your first comment) so we can organize all your thoughts better!

Good afternoon everyone! We have some frustrating news to share today. If you could give a *bump* like and comment, it would be super appreciated!

Yesterday, our sewing machine suddenly began malfunctioning for the first time ever since we got it in 2017. After doing all the normal "restart" stuff along with cleaning out any built up gunk, we couldn't get it to start working. So we got it dropped off to a local repair shop and now crossing our claws! They are predicting it may just need an annual tune-up and cleaning, however, after looking and fiddling around with it for a few minutes, that may not be the case.

So that puts a damper on some of our plans. We are not expecting to get our machine back for an estimated 3 weeks. Here is what this is probably going to affect:

-Pride Gauntlets: Yes, in case you didn't guess the clues, we were making a small series of clawed pride gauntlets for June. We need the machine to make strong/durable elastic bands for the tops of the arms. We will still finish the series of gauntlets, but they may not be ready until the very beginning of July.

-Custom Commissions January Batch: We are finishing up the very last orders from our first 2020 batch. Most of them are done with the knit and just need the sewing stuff done (elastic bands, belt loops, etc). Once we have our machine back, these will take our priority.

-Etsy Custom Orders Made Prior to May: These fall into the same category as above, except most are not knit yet. Since we cannot finish up the sewing of the above, we will be switching to getting the knit done on these projects. Then they will be on hold until we get our machine back.

-Other large stock projects: We are trying to use up a majority of claws we have had sitting around. Once customs are knit, we will see about having extra time to get a couple more big projects done for Etsy ;)

We have never sent our machine in to a repair shop before. Their deep cleaning fees aren't too bad, but we are super nervous by their reactions that something may actually be wrong mechanically and need repairs. They'll be contacting us if it does need repairs and what the fees will include.

We are aware times are tough but if you can, take a quick look in our shop. We always try to make sure there are very cheap merch items (under $5) in there, along with scalemaille projects that stick around $50 rather than our quite expensive items. There are also custom listings for the small-medium tails and gauntlets if nothing suits your liking. ;) Link will be in the comment section as Facebook hates it when we put a link in our description.

Hello Everyone and Happy End of the Decade!

For those who participate, we hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! We have been on a little roller coaster lately with moving houses and getting used to a new setting. Thankfully Michigan weather held off and settling in has been relatively easy. Because of this, we are a little behind schedule in terms of cranking custom orders out, however, this will not be affecting our first 2020 custom order opening!

As mentioned in the prior announcement, we do have a date set for the custom commission request forms to open for the general public:
Friday, January the 3rd-5th, 2020!

If you are a +$10 tier Patron, the forms will be open Thursday, January 2nd - 6th. Participating Patrons will receive slot priority, as usual.

As in the past, the general public form links will be provided to this emailing list along with posted on social media. Please make sure you are checking your spam/promotion folders as gmail typically puts our announcements somewhere other than primary. Patrons get a special exclusive link to their forms via Patreon.

In total, we are looking to take in a lot of work! We have been accepted for a convention in May (Furry Weekend Atlanta), however, since we still have a lot of leftover stock that we aren't anticipating to sell out of, we should be able to accept many slots. Slots taken in this opening are expected to be completed no later than June. If you request claws or spikes in this opening, the earliest we will be able to begin will be mid to end of February due to waiting on materials. We are anticipating accepting 10-20 new slots depending on how large the requests are.

If you're interested in applying, general public or patron, down payments will be due by Sunday, January 12th. As stated in our terms of service via our website, we do accept payment plans! We understand that we no longer have "cheap" pricing and do not expect payments in full. If your request is accepted and as long as the down payment comes in time, your slot is secure!

Speaking of payment, our prices for 2020 have been updated on the website! Everything has been somewhat adjusted as our quality has gotten better, but for the most part, only the XL Gauntlets and XL Tails have been significantly impacted. Prices have been adjusted to our state's minimum wage as those larger projects do take a lot of hours to create. As much as we don't want to charge more/affect those who would like to join the jingle party, we do need to feed ourselves and have *adult* bills now.

Additional charges such as premium scales, spikes, extra colors, etc do NOT change. Those are prices set by our suppliers, so unless they change prices, we do not change those prices. Reminder that if you have a specific patterning other than 1 solid color or a simple gradient, it is required to have a coloring sheet completed. If you want to have any premium scales or spikes in your project, it is extra required to have a sheet completed. The only exception is if you're getting the entire project in 1 premium color. Essentially, this makes it so we are not assuming what kind of pattern you want. We follow those coloring sheets exactly, so whatever is on there, we create!

This is our second update for the rest of 2019's summer as we have some more concrete information since our last summer update!

1. Etsy Deactivation & Reactivation

We have a confirmed spot at a convention during Halloween weekend (see section 2 for more details) so we will be deactivating many listings on Etsy soon! The following will be deactivated on August 1st, at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time:
All Premade Ready-to-Ship projects. There aren't many left so be sure to get those before they're gone!
Large Custom Projects: Large-XL Custom Tails, Large Unclawed Gauntlets, and Large Artistic Liberty Tail Designs

Once the items are deactivated, we will not be reactivating until about the 2nd weekend in November. Whatever premade items don't sell at the convention will be relisted. We are unsure of what custom slots will be available yet.
2. Convention Plans!

Yes! We have been accepted to vend at Youmacon 2019! (https://www.youmacon.com/) We do not have an exact booth placement yet but we know that we are going to have a corner table!

We will be filling a 10x10ft spot, biggest we have had so far! So we are extremely busy making a ton of stock for that event. For reference, we are up to 25 small tails alone! If you're going to be at the convention, definitely stop by and say hi!

As per usual, whatever does not sell at this convention will be available on Etsy immediately following the convention. All the details regarding that will be announced ahead of time!

Unfortunately, due to the sheer size of Youmacon, the amount we are making for it (in hopes of high sales), and the short amount of time afterwards, we have decided NOT to apply for Midwest FurFest dealers this year. We cannot afford to attend without vending, so for the first time in 4 years, we will not be attending at all come this December. We apologize if this is an inconvenience to anyone but wish those who are attending to have a ton of fun!
3. Next Custom Commission Opening and Pricing

The next customs opening is still TBD. Nothing is for sure yet, however, due to more concrete convention plans, we have a rough idea of what we will be doing.

Next complex customs opening will probably be in the beginning of January, and it will be a large opening where we take many slots!
Right now, we have a very full queue of customs that we are managing along with making stock for Youmacon. It is unsure as to exactly how long it's going to take us to finish that up. If we think we are going to clear it before 2020 comes along, then we will open for some additional simple customs on our Etsy (first come, first serve). If we resort to this, we will be giving a 1 weeks notice announcement.

With the 2020 customs opening though, prices will be increased. Exact pricing is currently to be determined. The price increase will primarily be affecting the larger projects. Prices are going up as our product quality is better and we are barely minimum wage for these projects.

For those interested in saving/budgeting for a project. prices will not be increasing anymore than $150. Smaller projects are probably only going to increase $5-15.

If you already have a 2019 quote from us, simply add the difference in base price cost. Any additional charges noted in your quotes are for additional materials/labor and are not affected by base price changes. Unless requesting an entirely new project, please do not submit another quote.

We will announce it to emailing list members and on our social medias when price changes are finalized, however, we are still quite a few months before 2020 comes around.

Any premade projects made in 2019 that are placed on Etsy after the convention will stay at 2019 pricing.

4. Potential New Scale Colors Options

We have begun dabbling in alcohol ink painting on top of scales! With this, we may be offering custom painted scales in the future. This is not a 100% guarantee yet but we are enjoying our time painting them! So far, we are only painting them on top of frost scales, and the underside of them are not painted.

General Public Opening begins June 15th at noon (EST) and runs for 24 hours.

After the 24 hours, the forms will be closed. No late forms accepted.

This is NOT first come first serve. We review and hand pick the slots based on the applications.

+$10 Patrons get their own special forms and priority review and form acceptance. It is not a 100% guarantee but the chances of being picked are higher. New Patrons that join during the opening are eligible to apply for a Patron slot.

Here is your general May 2019 Update and we do have some news to look forward to in summer and early autumn!

1. Last Chance on Auction!

As of sending out this update, there is just over 20 hours left on the auction for a one-of-a-kind premium clawed gauntlet and tail set!

2. Stock Available Now!

Our Etsy have finally been restocked and there are a ton of options over there right now, including 2 sets of clawed gauntlets and many other gauntlet options!

3. New Stock Coming!

As of right now, we do have some lovely projects planned for more Etsy listings, almost all of which are clawed gauntlets or unique gauntlets in general. Right now, we have 3-5 projects planned for that. Most of our priority has shifted to custom commissions for now.
We do not have a specific date and time yet, but we are looking around possibly Sunday, June 2nd.

4. Custom Commission Opening

Here's the most exciting news of the evening! Yes, we have plans of opening custom commissions this summer and we are looking at an earlier date than expected! This is *not* set in stone yet but we are tentatively setting the date for:
Saturday-Sunday, June 15-16th.

Much more details will come later but here is what we can share for now. This will be a 24 hour opening! This means our forms will be available to apply for 24 hours. Our custom requests forms are not first come, first serve. So be sure to take your time filling them out! If you are applying for anything that requires supplies from Dream Vision Creations (resin claws or rubber spikes), those projects cannot be started until late July. This is a great time to apply for customs if you have a late autumn event to attend! We are looking to take enough projects to keep us busy until October.

Base prices are expected to stay the same for this opening. Feel free to check those out on our website.

They are still 1 person per application and we are still limiting how much can be ordered.

1 Person may order up to one of the following:
- 2 pairs of gauntlets
- 2 scaletails
- 1 pair of gauntlets and 1 tail

We still very strong encourage applicants have a completed coloring sheet filled out and ready to submit UNLESS you are getting a 1 scale color, 1 yarn color project.

5. 2019 Event Plans

We have been getting a multitude of messages and comments about what we will be vending at this year so to clear this up, as of this update, we do not have any events planned right now.
However!
We will be filling out an application to be a Dealer at Midwest FurFest 2019 in December. However, we are still waiting on updates and announcements from that convention. We had an excellent time there last year, met many new faces, and would like to return!

In general, though, we hardly attend any events and 90% of our work is for online transactions and communications. We know this upsets many people that we cannot come vend at their local event/faire and we apologize! We are still a generally small business and cannot viably afford attending events all across the country even though those kind of adventures would be so much fun!

That about sums it up!
