Jeeves' Contact Info! :3
General | Posted a year agoHey folks!
Like many others I hope that Dragoneer's untimely passing won't affect the long term stability of the site, but since I've had a few folks reach out seeking other places to contact me/find my work if the worst-case scenario should occur, I thought it might be worthwhile doing what I've seen some others do and make a journal to let y'all know where else you can contact me!
Telegram: I'm jeevesbun on telegram!
Discord: I'm jeevesbunny on Discord!
SoFurry: You can find me at jeeves.sofurry.com If FA ever ceases to function, that will most likely become my main furry site for posting all my stories, opening for commissions, etc. So, if you want another furry site to follow me on, that's your best bet. Currently I just post my personal stories there, because cross-posting/formatting separately for two different sites is a bugger, lmao.
Ao3: I only tend to upload a selection of fandom specific works here, but I am active on Archive of Our Own if you want to follow me there! https://archiveofourown.org/users/JeevesBun
Email: If you want to contact me by email about a commission request, you can email storiesbyjeeves[at]gmail[dot]com
Patreon: Given that patreon now allows "free memberships", you can follow me there for regular updates on what I'm doing work-wise. My paid rewards start at $2 for monthly PDF bundles of every story I wrote the previous month, with immediate access to my personal stories (they're always shared in the monthly bundles, but higher tier patrons get them early, literally as soon as I finish writing/editing them) for $5 per month. www.patreon.com/jeevesroo
Feel free to follow/reach out/connect with me on any of those platforms. Hopefully it won't be necessary to re-locate me anywhere other than here, but certainly better to be prepared than to be scrambling/googling frantically if there should be any disruption to FA's availability. :)

Echoing a sentiment of gratitude. <3
General | Posted a year agoIn the wake of the news of
Dragoneer passing away unexpectedly, I've seen several folks on the site sharing not just their memories of Dragoneer and their sorrow at his death, but also their gratitude towards him. And, though I barely interacted with Dragoneer personally over the years, that latter sentiment is one I really do wish to share myself.
While I started posting my stories on Yiffstar (now SoFurry), it was FA where they found a bigger audience over time, and it was the support and consistency of the community here on FA which allowed me to take the huge leap in 2016 of going full time with my writing. This site and the people it brought together has truly changed my life for the better, allowing me to make a career that when I was a kid I 'wanted' to do, but set aside as a "But I realise that will never realistically happen" fantasy.
So yeah, thanks to
Dragoneer for the massive role he played in making my dream come true by creating and supporting FA all this time. His legacy continues not just in the site's presence (which I hope will continue for a long time to come) but also in every piece of art, writing, music and other creativity that has only been made possible because of this site and community.

Dungeon Meshi, ohhhh, Dungeon Meshi! :3
General | Posted a year agoI'm a little bit late to it I know, but I just finished watching the first season of the anime Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon). Really fun show for anyone who likes comedic but heartfelt fantasy anime and especially D&D-like TTRPGs, given that the dungeon feels heavily inspired by Undermountain (right down to having its own Mad Mage... oh, sorry, I mean 'Legally Distinct Lunatic Magician'. :D)
But yeah, really enjoyed the first season! Perhaps predictably given my love of fantasy magic and fluffy critters my faves from the party were Marcille and Izutsumi, but they're all great. :D

Feedback wanted - Kinktober or Nonstop Nut November? :3
General | Posted a year agoHey folks!
So, I'm stuck debating with myself between two potential themed commission batches that I'd like to do a little later this year.
One I've done before, Kinktober, would see me taking a batch of commissions for completion in September to post in October, all of them themed around different kinks (hence, kinktober, which began as a play on the art-challenge of "inktober").
The other option would be another themed commission batch, though taken a month later for posting throughout November, with the overarching theme being all different kinds of masturbation. The title for that batch would be "Nonstop Nut November", and it would serve as both a counterpoint to "No Nut November" for those not interested in abstaining for the month, AND as an extra level of challenge for anyone who does want to do the classic NNN, but wants some written temptation to make it all the more fun? Agonising?? XD
I'd be absolutely thrilled to work on either batch of stories, but I don't want to push myself too hard and end up writing two batches of themed stories two months in a row. So, I thought I'd ask for some feedback. Whether you'd be interested in getting a story or two from one of these batches or just if there's one you'd enjoy reading more. Would you rather I open for Kinktober commissions in September (for posting in October), or Nonstop Nut November commissions in October (for posting in November)?

Nice nice! :3
General | Posted a year agoI know the number fluctuates as people change who they follow, delete their accounts/create new alts, etc, but I couldn't let seeing my watcher count hit 6969 pass by without saying something.
Nicenice!
Thanks y'all for the incredible amounts of support and interest in my stories. I'll do my best to keep posting until I've shared at LEAST 6969 stories with y'all too, haha. <3 <3

Will Not/Cannot Write List - 2024 Edition
General | Posted a year agoHey folks! Once again I felt like it was time for me to make an updated list of things I'm unable to write about in commissions, either because it's not a subject I understand or enjoy well enough to be able to reliably write about to a degree of competency I feel comfortable taking money for, or in a few more limited situations because I just refuse to write about that kind of content, period.
As always, if you're considering commissioning me and aren't sure if your story features something that is on the border of one of these topics, or something you feel is an 'extreme' kink that isn't listed, feel free to note me and double check, or comment below if you don't mind your question being public. I'll happily answer your queries. :)
Also, just as a general vibe check, I enjoy writing positive, wholesome stories, whether they're super kinky and lewd or not. I absolutely think there's tonnes of value in dark and dramatic stories full of heartbreak, horror and other such themes, but in my little corner of the internet I still prefer to write stories that leave the reader with warm fuzzies rather than cold chills. If you're looking for a dark or sorrowful story, even if it doesn't technically contain anything off limits below, I'm probably not going to be the right choice to write it.
Jeeves' Will-not-Write List - Updated October 2025
- Underage characters in sexualised/adult situations. Underage = anything less than eighteen years of age, fully adult by our human understanding. If the age of consent is slightly different where you live, I understand that. However, the hard line for my stories is a minimum age of 18 regardless. Asking for exceptions to or work-arounds of this rule will be met with a straight up block.
- Age-play. See above. I will not write characters role-playing or acting as though they are underage for any adult/sexualised purposes. This also includes physical and/or mental age regression via technological, magical, hypnotic or any other means, and any ABDL/toddler-play related content. I understand it is not a sexual expression for everyone who engages in it, however there are those who do and I will not risk writing something that encourages the idea of underage characters being sexualised for even a single individual.
- Rape/Non-consensual sex. Characters can be overwhelmed, nervous, surprised by what's happening to them, etc, but I will only write adult scenes where characters enjoy what is happening to them during the act and continue to be glad it happened after the fact. i.e, full and enthusiastic consent. Additionally, I will not write about rape fantasies or characters role-playing as though someone is being raped/violated, even if all parties involved would in fact be consenting outside of the role-play.
- Scat/Vomit play. My personal lack of enjoyment for these topics means I cannot write them.
- Harsh BDSM, Cock and Ball Torture, etc. I am happy to write things like overstimulation-play, bondage, dom/sub, etc. But I cannot write any scenes/stories where intense pain/punishment is the focus, and where the characters (even if fully consenting) are not enjoying what is happening to them due to the pain it causes.
- Vaginal Genital Mutilation. I will not write stories that involve the process of vaginal genital mutilation occurring, or about characters that have had this process performed on them.
- Bestiality. I will write stories featuring quadruped characters or quadruped and bipedal characters together, but only in situations where all are "anthro" in the sense that they are sapient/intelligent enough to communicate and consent, as will be made clear by the story itself. Stories featuring people (humans or anthro) abusing unaware, 'normal' animals who cannot give informed consent are a no-no, as that's rape, see above.
Examples for clarity: Adult quadruped characters from Disney's Lion King or Lady and the Tramp would be fine to write about, if they were able to talk/reason as they can in the films. So would adult Pokemon, as though they cannot always speak human languages, they are commonly shown in the anime to be able to fully understand what humans are saying, and fully communicate with other pokemon and humans by either verbal or non-verbal means.
- Feral "mating" scenes. Unlike above, this is a personal preference/ability thing rather than a matter of morality. I won't write scenes or stories focused around sexual scenes between one or more animals depicted as fully feral/non-sapient, i.e. just regular animal level intelligence. Even if there's no abuse/consent issues between equally 'feral' animals, I prefer to write about anthropomorphic animals who have a greater degree of ability to communicate their thoughts, feelings, and to express and understand emotion to themselves and one another.
- Racism/xenophobia/homophobia. I won't write about topics that glorify aspects of racist, bigoted ideologies such as Naziism, or which feature characters who represent and embody such ideologies or behaviours in a positive light.
- Slavery. I will not write stories/characters that glorify or sexualise slavery or any form of indentured servitude. BDSM relationships featuring elements of domination and power play, i.e. "Mistress/Master x Pet" relationships are fine, so long as the submissive character has consented to such a relationship, and has full autonomy and the ability to say no/withdraw from the roleplay/lifestyle at any point.
- Transphobia. I will not write stories that use demeaning, degrading terms for transgender (and other gender-nonconforming) people, or embody harmful tropes regarding transgender individuals.
- Permanent orgasm denial, i.e. statufication, permanent chastity, etc. A particularly niche one, but yeah. I'm fine writing chastity/bondage/teasing related stories in general. But for whatever reason, the idea of permanent/indefinite denial of pleasure where the implication is that there will never be an end to it, even in magical/fantastical settings, isn't something I'm comfortable writing.
- Extreme Humiliation/degradation/embarrassment. I'm unable to write stories where intense humiliation/embarrassment is the focus of the story in terms of kinkiness, to the point where it becomes unclear whether the character on the receiving end is consenting without coersion. Stories with general teasing occurring or a more overt dom/sub vibe where some embarrassing/boundary pushing but consensual stuff is taking place are all fine, but where the whole focus is humiliation/embarrassment based to the point where it almost brings the character's consent into question, it's not something I'm personally comfortable writing. I understand this is a little more vague in its description than some other points, so please feel free to query if you're unsure. 9/10 times though if a story has another focus that just happens to include a bit of "Oh, and that makes this character feel embarrassed/flustered" that's totally fine. I'm talking much more about extreme humiliation/embarrassment as a fetish/kink unto itself in its most intense form.
- Hard Vore/Sexualised Gore/Snuff/Death. I won't write stories where a character dies due to sexual activity, even if they're a willing/eager participant. The same goes for any lingering, life-altering injuries. A love bite or scratches as a result of rough sex is fine. A missing arm isn't. (insert Monty Python reference here :P)
Non-sexualised Gore/Torture/Violence. Similar to above, I have no real interest or desire to write stories involving painful violence or serious physical injury whether sexualised or not. Dark stuff like that just isn't my wheelhouse.
- Intense odour fetishes. I don't find myself able to do a good job writing scenes focused on intense body odour, sweat, foot-smelling, etc. If it's a casual mention as part of a different story, that's totally fine, but I can't write it as the focus of a full scene/story.
- Hyper muscles/muscle growth/muscle transformation. I can definitely write stories featuring characters with a more natural muscular build, but I find it a struggle to write stories that are intended to feature in depth descriptions of impossibly large muscles and muscle growth, or transformation into a far bigger and more muscular form. Nothing wrong with such content of course, just something I'm not great at working on due to it being outside my personal interests, so I'd prefer to avoid commissions which feature it as I don't believe it would represent my best work.
- Human/Non-Furry Centric Stories. This one only comes up infrequently since I've purposefully focused my writing on furry/anthro stuff over the years, but while I'm happy in general to write stories that feature human characters, be it in a world where both humans and anthros exist, or fictional settings like Pokemon or Digimon where humans live alongside other sapient creatures, I'd prefer that humans (or fairly human-like characters such as dwarves, elves, halflings, etc) don't feature more heavily or with more focus than the anthro characters. Admittedly this isn't a hard and fast rule, so please feel free to ask if your story does feature human/human-like characters and it may well be totally fine. I'm just putting it here because I really do prefer writing about non-human anthros to the point where it becomes a consideration of whether or not to take on a story if anthros play less of a role.
As always, if you're considering commissioning me and aren't sure if your story features something that is on the border of one of these topics, or something you feel is an 'extreme' kink that isn't listed, feel free to note me and double check, or comment below if you don't mind your question being public. Dangit past me! (Delay on this week's personal story haha...
General | Posted a year agoI'm trying to stick to my schedule for posting personal work on Saturdays, so apologies that this week it's a non-personal piece. I was gonna post a fun story I wrote using random dice rolls to pick the main aspects of the story (Setting, kinks, location, etc) but I wanted to share the dice roll tables I made along with it, only to realise that I'd saved them without formatting, so I'd have write out alllllll the hypertext stuff for emboldening, italics, etc over again before I could post it here in any sort of legible form.
I'll share that next week, because I really am excited to see if anyone else would like to use it to randomly roll their own "Anti-YCH" style stories, but yeah, it would have been up this week, I just didn't notice my formatting faux pas in time to get it done before bed tonight! :D
Also, woooooo it's almost July, that means I'll be posting one of my Summer Heat stories every day for a month too! LOTS of stories coming down the pipeline for y'all to read soon, haha. :3

FULL! - Summer Heat Story Commissions!
General | Posted a year agoIt's time! My Summer Heat 2024 commission batch is NOW OPEN!
-=EDIT=- Barring anyone who has yet to pay withdrawing from the batch, I'm now full up! Thank you all! <3
What is Summer Heat?
It's a batch of 30 short story (~2000 words each) commissions, all focused around a different theme/prompt for some lewd summery fun, featuring characters of your choice either cooling off or heating up in various sexy ways to celebrate the hottest months of the year. :3
How many stories can I buy from the batch?[/u]
To begin with I'm limiting it to two commission slots per person. If there are a few slots left over after the weekend, I may open any remaining ones up for anyone who wants an additional slot beyond their first two. :)
How much is each Summer Heat story slot?[/u]
Each story slot will cost £25gbp, a £10gbp discount on my normal price for a 2000 word short story.
What do I get for my £25gbp?
Upon claiming a slot, I'll ask you to note me with which theme/prompt from the list below you'd like your story to be focused around. The theme/prompt will define the story's plot to some degree in the sense that it must feature that element as a central point, but you'll also be able to provide 1 or 2 main characters, and a simple plot you'd like the story to follow (remember, this is a 2000 word short story, so when I say simple, you should be able to describe the plot in just a couple of lines. <3)
Upon approving your idea, I'll request payment. Please don't ask to claim slots unless you're able to get in contact about your idea and pay for your commissions within 72 hours. If you claim slots but fail to get in touch within that length of time, I may re-open those slots for someone else to claim (I hope that doesn't sound too mean, I just want to get started on the commission batch from the very beginning of June, so I want to make sure everything is organised and all payments have been taken by the end of May at the very latest).
After I've paid, when will my story be complete and posted?
I'll be working on the Summer Heat commission batch throughout June, so your story will be complete by the end of June 30th at the latest. I'll then be posting the Summer Heat commissions daily throughout July (note: I'm happy to anonymise the commissioner of a story on request, but if you'd like your commission to be totally private and remain unposted, this probably isn't the right batch for you to buy a piece from, since I really would like to post the whole batch. <3)
You've mentioned a list of themes/prompts, what are they?
Check them out below! There's no limit on how many people can select each prompt, so don't worry about having to rush to get a particular theme first. So long as you get one (or two) of the thirty slots, you can have whichever theme you want, and the difference in characters and plot elements will be what makes the variety. :D

Somewhat late notice, not posting this week! :)
General | Posted a year agoI realise it's silly as hecc to be saying this on the Friday of the week in question, but just so y'all don't think I fell into a hole and became a ghost-bunny, I'm busy (fun busy, not annoying time-sink busy) this week so rather than trying to struggle and fit it in, I'm gonna take the week off posting stories. Instead I'm gonna post a piece every day next week (well, from Tuesday 21st onward) to make up for it. :)
Announcing "Summer Heat" 2024, commissions open on May 25...
General | Posted a year agoAnnouncing "Summer Heat" 2024, commissions opening on May 25th. :3
It's already approaching summer, omg! The weather is predicted to be spicy once again here in my part of the Northern hemisphere, and you know what that means? It means it's time for Jeeves to plan ahead so they can write a bunch of short stores in the few hours of the day when their office isn't a raging inferno, woooo!
More seriously though, I've been looking for a chance to do a "monthly challenge" type series of commissions for a little while now, since I started my new work schedule at the beginning of the year, and this provides an ideal opportunity to do exactly that! :3
But what is "Summer Heat", you ask? Well, it's me taking on 30 themed short story commissions (~2000 words each) to write in June, with each story's theme being based around characters either seeking to escape the summer's heat, or embracing it in various lewd ways. :3
Anyone who is interested will be able to purchase up to two commission slots when I open for the commission batch on the 25th. The stories will be £25gbp each (a £10gbp discount on my normal short story commission price), and upon purchasing them you'll be able to select which theme/prompt from the list you'd like.
After that you'll be able to let me know 1 or 2 main characters you'd like your chosen story/stories to feature, and a simple (remember, it's a ~2000 word short story) plot you'd like the story to follow, though of course it must feature the theme you've chosen as its central focus. :D
For example:
- You pick #12, "A cool midnight run". You put forward Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as main characters, and suggest the plot of the two of them taking advantage of the cooler night air to jog around Mystic Springs Oasis, until their nakedness proves too distracting for them to resist a little detour into the Oasis itself.
- You pick #4, too hot for clothes. You pick an OC as your main character, and ask for the plot to feature your character stripping naked in their cubicle at work, desperate for the slight relief of removing their clothes under the weak office AC and turned on by the risk of being caught to the point where they can't resist masturbating, even as they hear colleagues working just metres away on all sides.
There's no limit on how many people can pick an individual theme/prompt from the list, so don't worry if someone else is interested in the same one or two that you are. The different characters and plots built around the same theme will make the stories different enough, even if several folks pick a particularly popular theme. :D
And again, a reminder that commission slots will only open on the 25th of May. I'm posting about this now so y'all have time to think about what stories you might want to buy, and so you can budget in advance if you're interested in grabbing a story or two.
I hope there are a whole bunch that peak your interest. Here's the list!!

FathomVerse! An ID app/game for deep sea critters!
General | Posted a year agoI've posted before here about how I enjoy watching deep sea exploration livestreams, and that's still something I do a lot in my spare time while playing games that allow me to focus on something else while I do so. Now though I've got a new way to make my brain go brrrrr with deep sea critters! The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) has just released an app/game called "FathomVerse", which serves the dual purpose of being a fun way to learn about and identify deep sea life, from fish to corals to crabs to sea urchins and everything in between, while also helping out the scientific community by training AI (the good kind, if such a thing can exist lmao) to identify deep sea organisms from images.
Why is it good that AI should do this, and why isn't it just another example of AI taking human jobs? Well, imagine you do a 10 hour long deep sea exploration dive using a Remotely Operated Vehicle. You're recording high definition video the whole time, sometimes from multiple cameras, and if it's in an area with abundant life, you might be passing by dozens or hundreds of individual organisms every few minutes.
Until recently, those dive recordings had to be annotated solely by humans. By people sitting and slowly watching through every moment of the dives, pausing the video repeatedly as they write down each individual organism on the screen at any given moment. Not only is this HUGELY costly in terms of person-hours involved, it's not the 'end result'. It's just a step that has to be taken so that the species data gathered can then be used for different sorts of scientific analysis. In other words, it would be better for everyone, including and perhaps especially the scientists who are working with the data, for it to be something they could leave to AI to do, with humans then able to focus on the analysis after the fact with more time and resources remaining to them.
Of course if you're of the opinion that no-one should be giving up their time for free and that you don't want to train any AI, not even one that has genuinely useful applications and doesn't steal from independent creators (all the biological images used within the game are from scientific organisations who opted into the program and agreed to have their dive footage used, so it's nothing like the kind of AI that goes around generating weird-handed furry art by stealing other artists' work), without compensation, I totally get that. Valid and fair, haha. Buuuut if you think you'd find it fun, I'd recommend looking up FathomVerse on the app store/google play. I've spent a couple of hours playing it today and I really like it. It makes the Pokemon Go part of my brain go brrrrr. :3
Check it out, and maybe your brain will go brrrrr too. :D

Hey kid, wanna buy some nature??
General | Posted a year agoOkay so I've lived in the countryside for most of my life, and during my childhood and teen years I went camping fairly regularly with friends, and with the cubs/scouts when I was a member of that in my younger years. When I hit 15 or so though, I just kinda stopped camping, and within a few years I'd kinda forgotten it was a thing I really loved doing.
Until recently, when I was doing a bit of a clean out here and discovered an old tent that belongs to my brother, but which he barely ever used and left here for me to use if ever I wanted. And, y'know... I think I do want to. :o
Also, y'all, holy fuck camping is still so cheap. I mean, I know I've got a big head start already having a tent and sleeping bag I didn't have to pay for, but with how expensive almost everything else has gotten in life I was expecting campsites to be like "lol £50 to pitch ur tent plz" but... there's REALLY good campsites out there with a bunch of facilities for like... £12 a night??
Anyway, this is just me gushing over having something to spend the next month or two planning before I take advantage of the brief Scottish summer and actually venture out into the wilderness. And if you're thinking "Jeeves, will this end up inspiring some lewd camping based stories?" oh you're damn right it will, hahaha.

Embrace the comfort zone.
General | Posted a year agoRecently (literally a few minutes ago lmao) I was about to articulate a feeling I've had for quite a while. And, I really don't know if it's something with any real value or if it's just a totally personal surface level and obvious comment that won't mean much to anyone else. Buuut, I thought I'd share it here anyway, because I felt happy with how I was able to express it.
People often say they need to leave their comfort zone to make "better art". But, if being in that zone is what helps them to create pieces at a time when they're busy with lots of other life stuff and maybe don't have the bandwidth to also push boundaries in the artistic areas of their life, isn't that better than not being able to create at all? Isn't that better than not getting the practice that comes with actually doing something creative and reinforcing those skills, if they don't have the energy, time or resources to push their boundaries to some new degree?
If a person wants to try new directions with their work and hasn't been able to do so, I can definitely see that being disappointing and genuinely a reason to feel like they haven't achieved what they wanted to. Totally valid to feel that way, even if they know why and how their time is being taken up in ways that mean they don't have the energy for those new projects. But yeah, I'd encourage anyone who feels that way to be kinder to themselves when it comes to saying that they're letting themselves down or failing themselves and their creativity by staying in their comfort zone. To be kinder to themselves when it comes to creating stuff that is relaxing and comforting (and hopefully fun as a part of that comfort) and not something that has to be pushed and fought and struggled to achieve every step of the way as some big learning experience.
Imo, and this really is just my opinion based on personal experience so take all of this for whatever that's worth, the 'comfort zone' isn't something that should be avoided or replaced by new and more challenging/intricate skills or projects or whatever. The comfort zone is something we all need to reach a baseline level of contentment and happiness, and then, if we have energy left over after reaching that point, we can if we choose to do so, motivate ourselves to try new things and develop new skills.
But if someone tries to replace the comfort zone with the new more untested and challenging stuff, that's when they might get burned out and end up "falling back" into the comfort zone to recharge. And that's when the comfort zone can start to feel like somewhere a person goes when they've failed. Somewhere they go when they're unable to move forward, rather than a place to start setting themselves up for success.
So, yeah! Don't think of the comfort zone as a bad thing. Embrace it, use it as a springboard to push yourself to new heights, but never be afraid to spend lots of fun time there, especially if it means the difference between creating something comfortable and familiar, or creating nothing at all. <3

The dream thrift store find!
General | Posted a year agoYou always hear about those dream thrift store finds where someone comes across some priceless antique at dirt cheap prices because the owner didn't recognise it. Well, on a much smaller scale (overall value wise, I mean) that happened to me today.
Some of y'all may remember that during the pandemic times I spent part of my time gathering and reading a fair quantity of Star Trek novels. Back then I became aware of one particular novel, "A Stitch in Time" by Andrew Robinson. It's a DS9 novel, about (plain, simple) Garak, written by the actor who played him on the show. By all accounts it's regarded as a pretty great Trek book, and I think between that and how beloved the character is, and its relative uniqueness in being written by the actor responsible for bringing that character to life on screen, the book is pretty hard to find, and tends to be quite expensive when it does show up on ebay or wherever else. When I was buying a bunch of Trek books I was paying £4-5 for an individual book at MOST, with some of them being £1 or less each. A Stitch in Time however was, at the time, available for about £100 at its lowest on ebay.
Today, I found a copy in a thrift store while there incidentally looking around for something else.
For 50p.
I almost squealed when I found it, picked it up and like, double, triple, quadruple checked to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, and... uh, yeah, I now own a copy of A Stitch in Time.
I didn't wanna totally rip off the charity shop/thrift store of course, since they clearly had no idea of the book's value, so I gave an extra donation on top of the asking price. But, it was still a way, WAY better deal than I'd ever have gotten on ebay, many times over.
So yeah. That's my dream thrift store find. A book I've been itching to read ever since I learned of its existence, but wasn't sure I'd ever have the chance to given it being priced out of my budget for that kind of luxury purchase. And you're damned right I'm gonna start reading it ASAP. My only real uncertainty now is whether I should keep it after finishing it, not to "accumulate value" but just because I do tend to keep books I enjoy. Or, whether I should re-donate it back to the same thrift store, and tell them how much it's actually worth this time so they can make some more money for their charity from it next time round.

A loss to the furry community.
General | Posted a year agoRecently, the furry fandom lost someone who I had the luck and privilege to chat and (through having a story published in one of the anthologies she edited) work with now and then over the years,
Kiris.
She was someone I was always truly delighted to get to talk with and whose attitudes and actions within the fandom and beyond I had immense respect and admiration for, and the fact that she's gone now really, really fucking sucks. And if it sucks for me, I can only imagine how hard things must be for those who knew her far more closely, and loved her as much as she deserved to be loved.
Her passing has, of course, unfortunately come at more than an emotional cost to her husband, Ocean, in particular. As such he's opened up a gofundme asking for financial support regarding the care Kirisis received prior to the end of her life, as well as the ongoing costs he's had to deal with following her passing.
The values of loving inclusivity which Kirisis held so dearly and worked so passionately to share and uphold within the world are things I try with all my heart to put into my writing. So if you have ever read and enjoyed a story of mine and you have the financial ability to do so, I would be immensely grateful if you'd be willing to join me in contributing to the gofundme memorial for Kirisis. <3

New personal stories being posted every Saturday! :3
General | Posted a year agoAt the end of 2023 I decided to shake up my work-flow a bit, altering my Patreon to make it less work intensive and ensuring that I was able to give myself time to do something I had been doing far too infrequently over the last several years. Writing personal stories; stuff I wanted to write solely for myself, without considering whether it would be something patrons or indeed anyone else would enjoy (of course, I hope many folks will enjoy them, I just didn't want that to be a deciding factor in what I wrote).
Since the start of January I've been pretty happy with my progress, able to write roughly one personal story every week alongside my existing commission workload thanks to the new schedule I set out for myself. And because of that, I can now start sharing those personal stories, once a week on Saturdays! :D
Of course, if anyone would like to read those personal stories early, they'll be shared on my Patreon first. $5 and $10 patrons will get access to them just minutes after they're finished being written, alongside a brief post sharing any inspiration and other thoughts I had about the story itself, while for just $2 per month you'll still get access to my monthly PDF bundle, which means at the start of each new month you'll get access to a downloadable file of all the stories I wrote for public consumption in the past month, both commissions and personal pieces. Only after at least a month has passed will I start sharing those stories here and on SoFurry! Any support you'd like to provide via patreon would be hugely appreciated, and will help ensure that I'm able to keep writing and posting my stories for folks to read for a long, long time to come. :3

Sometimes... (a journal about indulging in tasty food)
General | Posted 2 years agoSometimes you wake up on a day off, eat some pringles for breakfast while watching a youtuber's 'live' stage show being broadcast online, hop on your stationary bike to watch the last 50 minutes or so, then later that day at dinner time make yourself ramen with a panko chicken thigh and a soy marinated soft boiled egg, and have a tub of Ben and Jerry's caramel sutra for dessert. Also a long island iced tea from your home bar.
And, as you sit finishing off your ramen before taking your first taste of your ice-cream, with your brain pleasantly free of its normal baseline level of anxiety thanks to the alcohol in your cocktail, you think... y'know, I fucking LOVE food. XD
I don't want to make this a journal about dieting or healthy choices. Of course eat in moderation and exercise as healthily and safely as your life situation allows. But also... sometimes it's just really fucking incredible to go all out in just eating what makes you feel damn good. Maybe it's just my asexualness but... the way some folks talk about sex? That's how I feel about a really satisfying meal. :D

Spy x Family Manga Vol 10 spoilers
General | Posted 2 years agoAgain I'm being very niche in my journaling here so hi to the three people this is relevant to, lmao.
ASDFGHJ DESMOND'S WIFE??? XD XD I kinda suspected that the lady Yor met at the department store was going to be connected to the same movement that Donovan Desmond ran because of the name of her social club, but aaaaaaaa holy shit that's a hell of a tweest. Twilight is gonna be both pissed and hype as fuck, hahaha.
Gah, now I have the horrible situation of being caught up with the manga and having to wait for the next volume to come out in like three months. D:

Informal poll/question: 'Themed commission batch' frequen...
General | Posted 2 years agoHey folks!
I was thinking about my writing plans for later in the year, and I'm curious to get some other opinions. I don't think there's any right or wrong answers here because it's all about personal preference, and you're welcome to offer an opinion whether you're someone who's likely to buy a commission from me or if you're just someone who enjoys reading what I post without ever intending to buy a story yourself. But yeah, here's my question!
How many times a year would you like to see me do 'themed commission batches'? Stuff like I've done in the past, be it an "Alphabet challenge" where I open for 26 short stories each themed around a prompt that begins with a different letter of the alphabet, or Kinktober (31 different kinky themes for each day of October), XXXmas (festive/winter themed stories leading up to Christmas throughout December), or perhaps even something for NNN, by which I of course mean Nonstop Nut November (30 lewd stories all about folks cumming their brains out throughout November, either to be enjoyed by folks who have no interest in No Nut November, or people who are taking part and really want to challenge/tempt themselves. XD)
I like doing these kinds of things, both because I enjoy the whole 'write a bunch of variety within a set theme' thing generally, plus they allow me to offer commissions to a bunch of different folks at once, and normally at a discounted price compared to normal commissions, which is hopefully accessible to more of my audience. But, I don't want to overdo it, either for myself or to the point where even those of you who are interested are like "Hmm, these are happening so often they're losing their novelty."
Personally I can't imagine ever doing more than four in a year (because, frankly, the four options I listed above are the only ones I currently think I could reliably come up with a yearly list of prompts for), but more likely I'd pick two or three at most to do, so I could spread them out a bit across the year. Do y'all think that sounds reasonable? Or, if you feel strongly that I should limit it to maybe one a year, or conversely that I should do as many different ones as I can to provide more of you with the opportunity to get cheap commissions and/or provide you with some prompts to spark your own creativity, let me know! :D

Started watching K-On! And...
General | Posted 2 years ago...this may be a deep cut for all but a few other anime nerds, but K-On! feels like Bocchi the Rock except rather than Hitori Gotoh, the main character is Serefu Yua from DIY, personality/attitude wise!
And as someone who loved both Bocchi the Rock and DIY, I'm absolutely delighted to find this anime that seems to have inspired or at least captured the same vibe as both those newer shows. :3

Five story commission slots NOW OPEN!
General | Posted 2 years agoHey folks!
I'm opening up for FIVE story commission slots to round out my upcoming work schedule for February, so if you'd like to grab a story commission to be completed within the next month, comment below and/or note me with what you'd like in terms of your idea. :D
As always my commission pricing and the details of what you can expect to get for your ££ are available on my FA profile's commissions tab. Payment is taken in full via paypal in GBP (British Pounds) only after we have agreed on all the details of your idea to your satisfaction, but before any work takes place. Once payment has been taken your commission will be complete within one calander month, or I'll offer you a full and immediate refund.
Also, a reminder for future occasions that you don't need to wait for commission openings like this to grab a story from me any more. The rest of my February schedule is already accounted for thanks to folks who have reached out over the course of the month and secured their commissions in advance. I'm trying to be much more flexible than in the past and not rely on a "first come, first serve" approach that benefits people who are available to check FA and respond to a journal at the exact time I decide to open for commissions.
So even if you don't manage to grab a commission from this small batch, please feel free to note me about your interest in grabbing a commission anyway, and if I'm already full up I can always offer to get back in touch in the later part of February and provide you a story commission slot in March instead. :D

DV_KhaosGive me your Anime recommendations, 2024 edition! :3
General | Posted 2 years agoLast year I really got into anime. Like, really, REALLY got into it. Originally I was looking for some different sorts of TV shows to watch while on my stationary bike, and anime ended up working out amazingly for that as watching with subtitles meant I had to stay focused on the screen, thus no phone checking and enough of my brain being taken up both watching and reading that I never got bored and was distracted from the actual exertion of exercise. In the end anime was basically ALL I watched while biking, and that's still true as 2024 begins!
I watched a couple of dozen different shows of different lengths (some single seasons of 12-13 episodes, some spanning over 100+ episodes), and I've still got a bunch more on my watch-list, but I'd love to hear your recommendations! Please bear in mind I'm not really into 'horror' anime, nor particularly violent/dark action shows, so while there's a tonne of amazing ones in that genre, I'm probably not going to watch even the most iconic and well reviewed of them. To give you an idea of where my line is for such content, I really like My Hero Academia (though admittedly the violence in that does ramp up towards the end of the latest season of anime), but I watched the first two seasons of Attack on Titan and gave up part way through the third as it was just... too much, lmao. Also weirdly I'm in the middle of watching Zom100: Bucket List of the Dead and loving that because despite being violent AF it's also super light-hearted in a way that counteracts the grimness of the subject matter. So, feel free to use that as a metric. :D
Beyond that, I like a whole range of anime. Cooking anime? Fuck yeah. Slice of life? Gimmie allllll the slice of life! Sports anime? Absolutely! Fantasy/Isekai? All aboard truck-kun, wheeee!
So yeah, if you've watched any great anime lately or think there's something I absolutely need to watch, let me know! I can't promise I'll watch it, but I'll definitely give it a look and see if it seems like something I'd enjoy. And if you name one I've already watched, I'll tell you how much I enjoyed it. :D :D
