So, it started snowing here this morning after being unseasonably warm for the past two weeks (snow in Scotland in March/April isn't that uncommon) and immediately I heard "Snow snow, I love it soooo!" in my head, which I realise is from one single episode of the original Indigo League Pokemon series, during a flashback where Jessie from Team Rocket is remembering her childhood and how much she loved snow.

So yeah, that line has apparently been living rent free in my head for 20 years or so since I last saw that episode. Do y'all have lines like that which stick around and pop up now and then, or is my obsessively detail oriented mind the outlier even more so than I thought already? XD

I poked my cat's paw as she stretched this morning and said "Pawb!" to her. That made me realise how many dumb, silly, wonderful, fairly specific to the furry fandom words there are out there. Some remain in fashion and regular use, others (yiff) are less prevalent than they used to be. But, there's a whole host of great ones out there!

What's your favourite furry word? It can be a sincere favourite or one you just think is dumb funny. Just don't yuck anyone else's yum with their favourite word (assuming its non-offensive. And hey, if there are offensive furry specific words out there? Maybe don't pick those as your faves). :3


I'm gonna go with "footpaw(s)" as mine. I find it so much more pleasant a word to write in general than "foot/feet", especially during NSFW paw-related stuff. :3

So, I was giving Dark Souls Remastered another shot on steam just now, when I encountered an unexpected problem. The old PS4 controller I planned on using has one non-functional button. Namely, the square button, aka Estus. Somewhat necessary to play, lmao.

I need to get another controller I can use, but PS4 dualshocks appear to be a million pounds apiece to buy even second-hand (£50 actually, which is as much/more than they were new). What other controllers work well with steam if you're plugging them in via USB? I know that Steam has its own dedicated controller, and that some folks use various Xbox type ones. But, as a very much non-console gamer bar Switch, I dunno what to look for.

I'm always hunting for new recipes to try and food to devour, and recently I came across this incredible recipe for Phodnicha Bhaat, which is essentially an Indian fried rice dish. It's INCREDIBLE. I made some today and I wanna make it again as soon as possible next week. <3 <3

Also, for those who don't eat meat/animal products, this dish happens to be incidentally vegan. It's not a "vegan dish", it just doesn't have any animal products as part of it, so if that works for you, doubly great. :3

Things are tough for a lot of people right now. A country under siege without cause, many more trapped in a country whose government and military care nothing for them, only for advancing their own power. For those of us lucky enough to be places where our homes are safe and our lives remain comfortable, even if we ourselves are wracked by sorrow and frustration at what we see, it's important to remember to do what we can.

That might be making donations to reputable charitable groups that can organise aid for Ukraine's people as they flee or fight for their homes, it might be supporting artists in the region whose work you have enjoyed in the past; donating to keep them and their families secure at a time when they might not be able to work. It might be taking the time to comfort and reassure friends who are struggling under the weight of anxiety that comes with the threat of violence and war and injustice. And, it might even simply be a case of reminding ourselves that in some cases, we need to let ourselves take a step back and not spend ALL our time focused on such a grim situation (though of course it is important to stay informed and not to stick our heads in the sand, we all know the stress that comes with constant exposure to social media and a 24 hour news cycle).

Myself, I don't have the finances to make a meaningful difference to anyone's life, though I wish I did. So, I'm gonna do the only thing I can to make some sort of difference. Much as I did back in early 2020 when the pandemic first hit, I'm gonna make a real effort to post regularly and often here. To ensure that for folks who need it, there'll be something to occupy their brain other than the stress of reading the news or worrying for friends or artists whose talents and hard work they cherish. I sincerely wish I could do much more, but, please, in the days to come and whatever comes beyond that, feel free to pop by this page once a day or so, and I'll do my very, very best to ensure there's a new story for you to read.

Take a few minutes to not check twitter or your news feed of choice, and instead let yourself have a few moments to think of wholesome and smutty things that don't really have any consequence beyond hopefully taking your mind off other things, because... all consequences all the time can weigh really, really heavy on a heart.

Today I had reason to think about the first time I ever played a video game. I was 5 or 6 the first time I played a video game that I can remember, and it was at a friend at the time's place on his dad's box of a PC (back in like, 1993-4). The game was James Pond: Robocod, a weird platformer about a fish secret agent. Soon after that came Repton 2, and soon after that, Streets of Rage, all on friends/neighbours consoles/PCs. A year or so later, I got a chunky-ass red game-boy (original huge, black and greenish screen kind) with Mario Land 1 and 2 (6 Golden Coins). :D

How about y'all? What are your first video game memories, whether it was something you owned, something you played with an older sibling when you were super young, or something you first encountered at a friend's house/arcade, etc.

For the last... hmm, year or so, maybe slightly less than that, I've been building and painting Warhammer 40k for the first time since I was a teenager. I'm honestly not really interested in getting into the wargaming side of things, but I love the models and find painting extremely relaxing.

Most recently I've been making use of the Games Workshop contrast paints, and painting up some Tyranids in the classic colours of Hive Fleet Kraken. And, while I'm not a great painter by any means, I'm really proud of the paint-jobs I've been able to produce!

Sincere question, what do y'all have for breakfast that you actually enjoy eating? I find cereal or toast really kinda dull (no judgement if you like it, it's just not my preference and makes me prone to having as little as possible, then snacking later), and I don't wanna go wild and start doing full cooked breakfasts multiple times a week coz, y'know, arteries and stuff. So, yeah! If y'all have any suggestions for interesting/varied breakfasts that are on the healthier end of the spectrum (at least, no less healthy than a bowl of sugary cereal) let me know!

Hey folks! Crowdsourcing a question here! So, for the last eight months or so I've been trying my hand at an old hobby, painting minis (Warhammer 40,000, in this particular instance). I really, REALLY love doing it, and I'd kinda like to show them off coz while I'm not an 'amazing' painter by any means, I definitely feel like I'm improving and my recent work with some Contrast paints in particular I'm really kinda proud of. The problem is, I find it pretty hard to get good photos. I don't have a dedicated camera, just my phone (it's got a decent quality camera but nothing special), and I don't know how to work with lighting to capture such a small, detailed object well.

This may be too vague a question, but... beyond buying some dedicated lightbox setup or something, are there tips or tricks any of y'all might know regarding how to get good pictures of my minis?

I mentioned to a friend today that I still have a piece of firewood with "Jeeves" burned into it that I made when I was 14.

Then I realised, that meant I'd already had the nickname long enough to be just casually writing it on wood rather than my 'given' name, and... yeah. I'm 33 now, which means that I've had the nickname Jeeves (it was an irl nickname shortly before it became my online and furry name) for TWENTY YEARS.

Another nine months or so and my nickname will be able to drink in America. How time flies!

As of 22:09 GMT today, I have finished the last of my work for December. Including XXXmas commissions, regular commissions and Patreon work, I wrote 47 stories in 21 days (with no days off, and working a lot of full days including evenings), and now I get to take from tomorrow until January 3rd off!!

I'll still be around and will post a story on Christmas Day, but woooooo, time off! I plan on going precisely nowhere except to get my booster jab tomorrow, then will be vegging out, playing Pokemon and building some warhammer, eating large amounts of delicious food, reading a bunch, and binge-watching Power Rangers to make up for the fact that my father wouldn't let me watch it when I was a kid, because I'm still bitter about that lmao. XD

This is... literally the first non-convention attendance vacation of anything more than a long weekend I've been able to give myself since I started writing full time, and the first of any kind since COVID. :o

It's a short story of ~1.5-2k words featuring your fursona/an OC of yours receiving some "XXXMas Cheer (sexy or otherwise intimate fun)" from a Rule34'able character (or group of characters if they 'come as a set', e.g. Nick and Judy, The Mane 6 from MLP, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) of your choice.

You also get to pick one kink (or specific sex act if you just want them sharing some vanilla lewdness) for them to share.
