Another year
Posted 7 years agoGee... it's been a whole year since I've last typed a journal of any sort.
But I'm typing one now to thank you all for wishing me a happy birthday ^^
2018 has been a very rough year for me, especially for the past few months when a family member got injured and had to be hospitalized followed shortly by all of our cars breaking at once which is pretty shocking and unreal. But it happened anyways, and the mechanical headache isn't over yet. Not gonna get too deep into detail since these are personal problems.
My drive to do art has also taken a hit as you've probably noticed, as I feel my ability to draw has gotten slower and feel a bit rusty at it.
I do apologize to those that I still owe art to, as I know I'm taking forever to get to him. But I'll get to doing those pieces eventually, and hopefully do them within this year.
I did make a commission price sheet earlier in the year, but never posted it publicly due to feeling that I'm not ready to take on bulk loads of orders at a time.
Now I got to relearn my techniques again to get back up to at least a decent speed to take orders and do them within a reliable time.
I do however feel thankful that I am still able to get online to talk to my friends, and sometimes look on here to check on comments, I hope next year will improve for me.

Boy time sure does fly, like a skyphin chasing a latios through the clouds!
The cake was delicious none the less, I had a nice spice cake with white frosting and oreos on top.
The oreos were my idea x3
and for those who wished me a happy birthday, I thank you very much as it's heart warming to hear and see.

Random Words and Stuffs
Posted 8 years agoIt's been a while since I've wrote any sort of journal in the past several months. But now I'm writing one to address a few things I want to get out.
It's that special time of year again as my birth month looms over me, knowing that that day where I become one year older is ticking ever closer and my gosh time sure does fly. I believe it's also been a full year since I've had this new drawing tablet now.
This year I guess I can say has been a very experimental year for my art, plus I've been secretly working on my own twisted adaptation of one of my favorite games: Half-Life 2, replacing the player character with a Lugia as well as other certain key characters with other creatures. ( I've turned Alyx into a skyphin )
The graphic novel parody is rather ambitious for me and using Garry's Mod to make the pictures and my art softwares to put them together into comic pages, and I've already got the first two chapters done. But I am not sure how such a story should be posted here... IF I even post it here.
An update to my cargon species is also planned, doing a little behind the scenes work and redefining the types to hopefully clear up some confusion. A drawing mapping out the various types of cargon will also come with it as well as a new cover to the species study to try and make it feel fresh...
The form that most peeps seem to be interested in particular based on my commissions and stuff is the "cartaur"; literally a car with a character's anthro or human torso forming out from the hood directly above the front wheels in a centauroid-like stance. While a cartaur by itself isn't automatically considered part of my official cargon species, it still can fall into that grey area. Especially if a dragon character is used. I also plan on making a smaller "cartaur" species sheet that will be open to those who simply like the cars and character fusion things, but at the same time don't want to dive into my full blown cargon species right away.

Posted 8 years agoHmm there's probably a reason to why I hardly post journals, mainly because half the time I can't think of anything good to really say in a large amount of words.
But anyways, I have a few things I would like to announce... I will be accepting Paypal Commissions from the general public again now that I feel confident enough with my new prices in place. I also plan to do a review and update to my FAQ journal since there's likely stuff in there that needs changing or removing along with new stuff. I already have a new FAQ banner ready to use. I also still need to build at least some visual reference sheets for the main characters that represent me. But most of them are just random ocs with little development to back them up... and I have a lot of species in my pool of characters: cetaceans, eons(Latias/Latios), flying dolphins, cargons, metavians, and other little creatures here and there. I'm most likely gonna start with Big Jeff and his pod first as that group of characters are getting the most development attention from me.

Making comic pages without a doubt will be a time consuming process in comparison to my regular art if I stay with my current art technique, so I will need to figure out a new technique to find a balance between eye candy and telling a story through the visuals and bubbles without having it take forever to do, as AuldBlue told me that in the comments section of my comic page.
I am also working on a secret comic series at my own pace that's highly experimental. Though it's overall theme is "Adult Rated", and I'm not really known for drawing straight up adult art, but since this is Fur Affinity, there is a slight chance I might post the comic series in the future, depending on how I feel on it. Though it will be in the blue sketch level only. I currently will not accept comic page commission offers as I do not feel ready to take on such responsibilities while the current techniques I use feel disjointed at least to me...
That is all.

Birthday and Commission status

I would like to thank you all for all the Happy Birthday wishes and gift art, the thought of them means a lot to me as I get older and wiser. I do plan on making a little personal art of how much cake I Latios have eaten from all the birthday wishes... it's gonna be a lot! My birthday irl has been pretty sweet and calm while on the internet was absolutely crazy! I did get a few cute little things including a hammerhead shark plush.
I also have something to say in regards to my commission status. I am very well aware that my commissions have been on a hiatus for about 7 months now, but I have started to work on a new way of posting my commission information and guide by having it all in one modular image instead of using a journal like this. That way I would be able to show a lot more images without having a limited image count. Commission prices are also being updated to new standards that will hopefully be easy to understand. All the commissions as well as all my art in general will be drawn in my new Wacom Cintiq 13HD that I've had for about a month now.

Rambling Latios entry

Jeffray the latios is swooping by to talk about some stuff on what I plan to do around my two art galleries on here and Da. First thing to mention is that I may be getting an upgrade to my artistic hardware thanks to getting gift money to spend from a grandparent on my mother's side who's recently passed away... Considering my current Wacom Bamboo tablet is approaching 5 years old and is well worn (but still works), I figure it's necessary for an upgrade to something bigger and better.
As for my summer outside of the internet, It's been pretty hot and dry. I did go whale watching on July and I had a blast out at sea, and speaking of cetaceans... my pod of dolphin and whale stuffies has been growing ever since I started with my orca plush last year. I'll post a photo of them sometime in the future.
Now when it comes to the content I have in my gallery... I've been thinking of doing a cleanup of old content from 2013 and older for quite a while now, There are some good arts in there that I will keep under a new folder that's gonna be labeled "Old Art" and those old submissions will even be tagged as [OLD ART]. The old art as a whole will be either kept or taken off my gallery and most of it ranges from outdated ref sheets, old art styles that aren't relevant to me anymore, outdated techniques, and general pictures of characters with old and dated designs.
Now the last but not least thing to talk about is my immense Cargon Species Study project which is probably my biggest art project that I have ever committed myself into doing. This study will explain why these "dragon infused cars" are the way they are and how they tick. Right now currently it's all saved in a text document that I've been occasionally working on all year with some help of a couple of my close friends (yeah, this project has taken all year just to get the text down and organized). It pretty much tries to cover as much as possible from looks, anatomy, functionality, and even goes in depth on how they mate and reproduce. Once I feel this text document is ready to post live to the public, I will then work on translating the text document into visual study ref sheets.
This is also a closed species and is currently restricted to just my close friends to use, The way I will handle how you can get permission from me will be relatively straight forward. All you need to do to gain access to my cargon species to make ocs for your stories, roleplays, or even make your own art of them is to ask me for my permission and why you want to use my species for what ever reason you provide for me to judge.
If you're a friend of mine, then all you need is my approval to use my species, then you can create as many ocs as you want with it, payment is optional.
If you're an acquaintance I hardly know, then you would both need my approval and paying a price one time via paypal to to get permission from me to create as many ocs as you want with this species.

Taking a break from taking Commissions

I am officially taking a break from taking in any further commission orders, mainly to give myself some breathing space to focus more on my personal projects which I know can't be done in just one day. The car dragon species ref being the biggest personal project of mine.
I will reopen my commissions once I've gotten some of those big projects out of the way, mainly the car dragon one.
That is all for this short journal.

Random Ramble Journal
Posted 9 years agoHello everyone, here's a random but fresh journal for today.
I got a lot of art projects going and in the Queue that needs to be done while getting a relatively steady flow of commission orders to do. So I'm pretty busy in all the arts. Though as long as I don't overwhelm by taking in way more than I can chew, I should be okay. But I've got a lot of art projects ahead of me (and a lot of written down ideas that have yet to be drawn).
I also came to notice my A.P.R.S. suits have been rising in popularity as of late in the buxom expansion crowd. I know, they're pretty awesome suits to wear for a number of reasons... primarily to inflate to all big and snugly soft without the drawback of increasing weight! Even when not inflated, they're still comfortable to wear and lounge around with. Just to think this suit originated as a simple rp me and a friend did, and it bloomed into what it is now and I have a ref sheet of the suit that's current WIP, but will eventually be finished.

Speaking of ref sheets... I seriously need to rework how I label my ref sheets and come up with good efficient layouts to use for future refs. The text part will be especially annoying. I did plan on making good top tier refs of my main characters: Jeff, Pypper, Solaira, and Aria... But I think that's gonna have to wait for indefinitely until I make a proper reference of my car dragon species which is a huge project in itself! My car dragons do deserve a lot of attention since The species has been sitting in the dark ever since I've created them back in 2012, so it's time to bring them into the light of how they work, what they do and stuff so everyone will have a better understanding of these strange but unique creatures based off of the very common automobiles we see in our world...

I should be able to get everything done eventually... Ref sheet and Misc category will remain unchanged.

Oc nuking, Opened Paypal Commissions, and stuff

Jeffray is here to announce that my paypal commissions are officially open again, However... My ref sheets tab will remain closed as I need to make refs for my own characters which is very much needed, especially my mains. So to any of those that were hoping to get a ref sheet out of me, I'm sorry, but they'll have to wait.
I also was recently talking with
Apler-Enigma about clearing and cleaning up Jeffray's family tree as it turned out that Jeffray's family concept was incredibly broken. I also recently nuked my character list (which I should have done a long time ago) and kept only ones that I could only remember off the top of my palm which is still quite a few (21) and in two worlds.

I decided to do away with Jessisas as an actual character, because let's face it: The way she was created was being cloned while Jeffray was under the effects of Berri's gender bend spell a full year ago and back then we wanted to keep Jess around. But looking back at it now, it doesn't really make much sense to me now, plus Solaira is the real sister. Jess was however fun while she lasted as her own character, but now she's back inside of Jeffray.

It's my birth month
Posted 10 years agoFor the sake of kicking away the old journal from many months ago, I figured i'd type up this one to tell you's what's going on with me lately. You ready for me to spill the beans? Well here we go.~
I managed to get through all of my owed commissions that I let pile up over the summer time due to lazyness, but had never left them to be forgotten. I still got a few gifts I need to dish out for a few friends. Speaking of gifts, a distant friend recently gifted me GTA Five out of nowhere and I thanked him a lot that day.
I also discovered a new LAN hosting app called Evolve which is said to be better than Hamachi when it comes to gaming and it's a gaming platform a lot like Steam. It's remarks can get a bit sassy though and once in a while an unskippable AD may play in the background (and I know ADs will turn off most people). But none the less I'm able to play Gmod with friends that don't use Hamachi as their virtual LAN network... Like Hamachi, it creates it's own virtual network adapter on your computer when you install the app.

Family also recently bought a new car: 2001 Ford Escape. To replace the ancient 1993 Ford Explorer.
Last but not least, my 24th birthday is coming up and it's coming up fast... It's unbelievable that it's come to that special time once again, I still think i'm like 22 or so.

I also discovered a new LAN hosting app called Evolve which is said to be better than Hamachi when it comes to gaming and it's a gaming platform a lot like Steam. It's remarks can get a bit sassy though and once in a while an unskippable AD may play in the background (and I know ADs will turn off most people). But none the less I'm able to play Gmod with friends that don't use Hamachi as their virtual LAN network... Like Hamachi, it creates it's own virtual network adapter on your computer when you install the app.

Posted 10 years agoFor the past month in the middle of May, I have decided to take the big leap of faith and bought myself a brand new computer that is even better than the jalopy 
linkdragonhylian sent me all the way back in October of last year. Luckily most of my stuff was in my two external hard drives so it wasn't too hard to transition over to the new computer, and the old computer was sent back to Sahrend after operating it for about half a year (That old computer had an IRQL crash issue). After a couple weeks of operating this new computer, it already started to feel like home and me adjusting to Windows 8.1. In other unrelated news, These first few days of June have been feeling cold and cloudy and hasn't been feeling like summer. But who knows what may happen for the rest of the month.

Here's a random update journal about what's going on with me. April overall felt like a pretty slow month in general, don't really know why. Now that it's May, the weather is now getting a lot warmer as the sun rays get more potent. I have no idea what i'll be doing this summer, but I do know I still got art I owe that I've been procrastinating from (again). I've been very lazy with the art as of late.
Despite the lazyness, I've just recently added in a new commission category that you can guys see: Ref Sheet as hinted from these two recent pictures. These two are just simple ones, but they're perfect for a quick visual representation of the character while not really going into full detail about him/her. I also made a little update that if your future commissions were to have one of my own characters added into the picture along side your own, it'll be free of charge, but only one.
I also recently was introduced to a little co-op art program called OpenCanvas, thanks to
Alex-Aquatic and have already created a couple of collaborative sketch dumps already. It was pretty fun to do, requires Hamachi virtual LAN network though, and Hamachi relies on WIRED connections only. But that's not a problem for me since I'm always on wired.

So I went to the computer nerds to help me locate a good one for my price range, and I did buy it for $500USD (after sales tax) Specs will be revealed later once the machine arrives and is hot swapped with my current one. As for the old jalopy Hp computer linkdragonhylian sent up to me back in October 2014, I'm gonna be sending it back to him so he can fix the mistakes he made with that computer and get it going for another friend.

It's a new month and wow has February been the most snowiest month i have ever seen! The winter storms have definitely been relentless to us these past few weeks throwing so many snow storms at us that could be record breaking. The piles are definitely taller than the pickup trucks, not to mention we're running out of places to put this snow, and I know this snow is not gonna go away any time soon. Meanwhile, I'm just chilling out within the warmth of my home.
Also I have just reopened my commissions with fresh slots available, so feel free to contact me if you got a drawing idea. (I know... you have to go into DeviantART territory in order to see anything I'm up to on my to do list)
Outside of DeviantART and Fur Affinity, I recently just assembled my own addons collection for Garry's Mod to pretty much make subbing to addons I like and use a bit easier in case others wanted to join me in Gmod or not. However, this collection is only visible to my friends on Steam...

The Queue system will be the same as I had it last year: 6 slots with the top most slot being the one I will do first and work my way down. As for Art Trades, they are put in the general to do list, but I've limited myself to take up to 3 art trades, just so I won't be overloaded.

My Internet Service

I just wanted to get out here that my internet services in the house has suddenly became unreliable to the point that we have to constantly bug the phone company to come down here to get it working again. This problem we're having is a mysterious one that keeps coming back, despite replacing the box and router, and today is the second day we had to get a tech down here to look at the problem and it turns out this strange problem is a neighborhood problem as I heard from the tech today.
This internet problem started happening on Tuesday December 30th 2014 at around 7-ish pm where the internet just suddenly went "poof!" and never came back for the rest of the night. I never thought anything of it since it came back on the next morning... then it went "POOF!" again and never came back for the rest of the year until Friday when the tech came over the first time to replace the box and router. The internet service was okay for the rest of the day but before I knew it... It went "POOF!" again on Saturday and never came back on Sunday (and I was in the middle of instant messaging with a Steam Friend!). Now here I am... typing this message to you all to tell you what's been happening.
I probably might not be able to reply to all of your comments if the internet goes out again.

Posted 10 years agoAs the title literally reads, It's Christmas day today and boy it sure feels like a special day despite having no snow xD. But at least the sun came out to shine on us while me and my family unwrapped our gifts and I had pancakes for breakfast! I'm having a good day as of far and I've got quite a few cute things for my end of the tree, including plushies of Latias and Latios to snuggle up with x3.
So... Merry Christmas to you all, and have a happy new year as we enjoy the rest of 2014.

Birthday update

It's starting to be that time of year again where as soon as Halloween ends, boom Christmas starts coming up (Shoving Thanksgiving completely aside) and it's the time where the money is really gonna fly! That's a lot of stuff ahead of me... most importantly, my birthday which is around the corner. Before I know it, I'll turn 23! As for the new computer I've settled into, It's running pretty great and I'm happy with it. But I've also set up my old Dell computer to my flat panel TV to be a secondary pc to use.
Artwork-wise, I slowed down on it significantly thanks to my addiction to messing around with stuff on Garry's Mod, but my art won't stop completely and I still got my big character line up project to continue on.

New Computer, Steam, Re Opened Commissions

For the past week, I've recently got a new computer from linkdragonhylian and took out the old Dell to then install this newer computer that he built. It's a pretty solid working machine just like my old one, only this one is on Windows 7.

Recently... linkdragonhylian Has built himself a newer and better gaming computer to replace his old one and has just started to ship his old desktop up to me, and we had this planned for like months. So I'm pretty excited about getting a newer and better computer this following week hopefully!
In the mean time while the new computer is on it's way, I'm gonna be taking a break from Commissions and stuff until further notice. That way I can focus more on what to transfer out of my old Dell computer which is nearing 8 years old! Still a solid running pc for it's age though. But soon it's gonna come time to retire it from my services. I also plan on finally getting Steam when I settle in this new computer, as it's technical specs are better than my current computer.
I also recently started off a side project for myself which is drawing every single one of my characters in various line ups of sub basic ref sheets, starting off with my Main Three characters, Side characters, and so on... and I have a lot of characters to draw. But since it's a side project, my drawing priority cycle will be similar to that of when I was drawing the bonus drawings for the people that participated in the "Ask My OC" event earlier in the year, so I've got a lot to do in the future.

It's about time considering how harshly cold the winter season was, anyways I am now officially reopening my commissions again after a short hiatus from the Heartbleed scare. My art upload rate to here has been pretty slow compared to DeviantART as of late, mainly because I have a lot more on my plate over there than compared to here.
I'm also gonna set up an independent To Do List that will be for art pieces that will only be uploaded exclusively to here. I'm gonna be more open to Art Trades so If you're interested in trading some art with me, then shoot a note over to me to read.
I also refreshed my signature mark to be more universal between here and DeviantART and I plan on posting a line up of some of my characters as a sketch dump, unlike the usual "police line up" style that I use on DeviantART since this place doesn't allow images any greater than 1280 pixels.
All and all, It's been pretty quiet over here.

Very bad security virus

I've been hearing lately that a topic about a very bad virus is getting around lately... No it's not a computer virus... but a server virus that can see sensitive information and the scary part is that it's been around for as long as 2 years and it's only been discovered on Monday!! I strongly recommend to change your password on every site you go to. I know it's annoying to do but it's better safe than sorry.
Here's at least 3 different Articles that talk about this same virus called the "Heartbleed" security virus... sounds like if someone is stabbing someone through the heart with poison.

Posted 11 years agoAnother month has gone by and the sun is slowly but surely getting higher and stronger every day but we're not out of the wintery woods yet as I'm expected to be hit by another winter storm on Monday but the new snow shouldn't hang around for too long because of the more powerful sun.
Oh and thank you to those that ordered commissions to me during my first week of opening my doors. I really do appreciate them as I put my heart and soul into each drawing I draw weather if it's a request, gift or, just doodling something at my own free will. I also have a lot of fun drawing out new things and my Tablet is still going strong after 2 years of use. If you were to look at my Tablet right now, you can tell it's been used a lot.
I also plan on drawing out a new line up of all of my characters similar to what I did last year but it'll be more than one image since I now have over 40 oc's to draw and they're all gonna be scaled to each others respective sizes in feet and meters as usual. Now getting back to the commission topic, hopefully I'll get around to drawing another ref sheet(Normal Ref) of one of my characters to make my Ref Sheets category available this month.
As for other stuff that's going on outside the interwebz, I've been replaying through Gran Turismo 4 on a new Ps2 Slim (Model 2) that a friend gave me and boy there's a lot of cars in that game, I think there's about 600+! I also watched most of the Sochi Winter Olympics on TV with my mother for the past weeks which also re-tuned my sleeping pattern back to a good time instead of always staying up past 3am and stuff.
