Fundraiser Sketch Commissions! ...and Other Updates -CLOSED-

I've been pretty up and down health-wise, but I've just started a new treatment (two different immunotherapies taken together) which seems promising. I'm doing everything I can to get back to fighting shape, but there's one big thing I need a little help with.
After extensive discussion with my oncologist, other doctors, and the social worker who helps me out with these kinds of things, I've come to realization that the best thing I can do right now for my health is move back up north. There are a few reasons for this:
1. I grew up there, I went to college there, almost all of my friends and family live in that area, and I really need that additional support system right now.
2. There's a really good cancer program at a hospital near where I used to live. It will be closer, meaning a lot less pain and cost to go to all those chemo appointments.
3. The weather! I live in the desert right now, and the heat worsens a few of my symptoms, sometimes a lot.
4. Cheaper living expenses in general. Northern California is a lot less expensive to live in than Southern California.
I really, really need to earn and save money to help me with this move. It won't be for a few months yet, but it's important that I get started as soon as possible. It's a 10 hour distance to move, and there are a lot of things that are going to be harder and more expensive because of my condition.
Long story short, I'm fundraising! I've got some adopts on auction, ending very soon (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/28627398/).
I've also set up a Ko-fi, mostly to help pay for repairing my car, which is one of my biggest expenses. (http://www.ko-fi.com/jelliroll) If you would like to donate, even the smallest amount would be a huge help!
Lastly, I'm going to be taking "Fundraiser Sketch Commissions". These are going to be simple sketches for $25. Single character, digital sketch, extra details like slob, complicated outfits, etc will cost a bit more. Because my health greatly effects how much I can work any given day, I'm doing a waiting list and doing one or two sketches at a time instead of taking a large batch of commissions at once. If you would like to grab a spot on the waiting list, comment below or send me a note with how many slots you'd like to grab (up to 3) and contact info if other than FA notes. I will be contacting people for info + payment when their turn is up.
Please note, these will probably be the only public commissions I take for a very long time. I'm going to stop taking wait list applications once it hits a certain number, so don't miss out!

Problem With Packs Finally Fixed

I'm Back!
Posted 8 years agoAfter months of severe illness and struggling with chemotherapy, I'm ecstatic to say that the latest treatment, an immunotherapy, is working well to shrink my cancer growths. It's not a cure, and I'll have to have surgery in a few months to remove my kidney and some cancer in my liver, but right now I'm much improved from my previous state. My nausea is mostly gone, my pain is manageable again, and I'm working to build back atrophied muscles and raise my overall health. Thanks to the cancer, I lost over 80 pounds, and a lot of that was my muscle mass. Yuck!
Part of my road to recovery is getting back to drawing! I've taken a few commissions, and hopefully I'll be opening for more soon. My stamina is nil, so it's hard for me to work for an extended period, but that's something that will get better with time as long as I keep at it. I have some ideas for packs and comics, and am excited to work on commissions again. Keep your eyes open for journals announcing when I have slots!
I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me the last 6 months, and to the people who continue to do so. I really couldn't have made it through without you all. Thank you.

Update: Where I've Been
Posted 8 years agoA lot of you have probably noticed that I've been completely absent from all places on the internet for quite a while. I don't really like to talk about medical problems online, but when it keeps me away for so long I feel like everyone deserves an explanation.
For close to three weeks, I've been having severe back spasms and abdominal pain, and constant nausea that has kept me from eating more than one meal a day for close to a week. It's kept me pretty much on my back, not able to do anything. I've been to see a few different doctors, had to be run to the ER by my wife, and though a lot of things have been ruled out, we're still not sure what's causing it.
I can't sleep from the pain unless I take a prescription painkiller and a muscle relaxant, I can barely eat even with the anti nausea meds the doctors gave me, and I hurt constantly. Even now I'm writing this on my phone because it's near impossible for me to sit at a desk for more than five minutes.
I know there are a few people I owe commissions to, and I'm very sorry about this delay. I'm not sure when I'll be able to draw again, which is unfortunate because I have planned to go to BLFC this year. Anyone I owe a commission to, if you would like a full refund I will be more than happy to do that. I know it's really frustrating to pay for a commission and then just wait indefinitely for news.
Sorry for the big wall of text. Hopefully I'll be back on my feet soon, and filling everyone's eyeballs will heaps of adorable fats.

Commissions, Past and Future Packs, BLFC

I figured it was about time for an update.
I'm going to be finishing up and posting all of the commissions I took last month very soon. It's a great batch, and though I've been too busy with taxes and similar things to devote as much time to them as I wanted, that's over now. If I owe you a commission, keep an eye on your notes! :D
Official announcement, I'm going to be at BLFC 2017! I have a lot of stuff to prepare for the con, as I'll be working at a couple of different tables this year. Because of this and my commission backlog, I'm going to be on a semi-hiatus until after BLFC. This will not effect commissions I already have, but I will be closed for new commissions (with maybe a few small exceptions) until after the con, and I won't be actively working on any pack stuff either.
Speaking of my packs... after careful consideration, I've decided to publicly release, for free, a few of my older packs. I'll be posting some stuff on FA, and then uploading the packs to free download sites. I'll post info and links when the time comes!
As most of you probably know, I recently released a Zootopia triple pack of illustrated stories. They've been pretty popular, I'm quite pleased! I want to start planning on a new set of stories to work on after I clear my commission queue and finish all my con prep. I held a poll on my twitter (@Jellirolled), and the winner was Starfox/Other Video Game Furries.
So, now I'm asking you guys...what furry video game characters would you most like to see fattened in an illustrated story?

I'm opening for sketches and color sketches, with no limit, but you can grab a spot today only. I've had a veeeery hectic few months. My old hard drive up and died on me, taking close to 80 gigs of art files with it. Not to worry! I can access the data on the drive, it's just an extremely slow and arduous process to get it all off of it and onto the new hard drive. There are some problems with the old one I don't understand (I'm not very tech savvy and my wife is doing the transferring for me) but it's getting there. On that old drive is a lot of art, both commissioned and otherwise, that I haven't had a chance to post yet. If you are waiting for a commission from me please let me know so I can make retrieving your art from my dead hard drive a priority!
In other news...I moved! 10 hours distance from northern to southern California, I'm now in the Palm Springs area. It was a very short notice move because of a job, so I basically had to drop everything to scramble to pack and get everything ready. I'm mostly settled in now, and have started work again. I've got a few packs in the works, some human, some furry, and I recently released some to help offset the cost of moving.
Project-wise, I have a lot going! I'm going to be at BLFC this year, yay! I'll post more info about that as the con gets closer. I recently finished a human WG pack with Molly Coddles, a well known human WG writer. You can find it here if you're interested. I'm currently working on a comic pack called Voltron: Legendary Gainer. I've also started a comic pack with sharpt00th that has a delightful dragon theme. I'm ALSO working on a fully playable WG visual novel with Molly Coddles. This project is also human. I want to do another furry comic pack like my Zootopia ones, but I'm not sure of the subject matter yet. Maybe I'll do a poll?
I feel like I've been neglecting this account, and I want to do some free fatty art for here, both fanart and otherwise. I'll probably post a request journal in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

I had my surgery, and while everything went well, it knocked me out of things a little harder than I was expecting. I'm basically fully recovered now, and back online and working on art!

I've mentioned a few times that I've been going through a series of surgeries to correct some tooth/jaw issues. It's been a long road, but I'm near the end! I met with my surgeon last week to schedule my final procedure. It's not until October, but my portion of the payment is going to set me back about $4500.
It's not a small sum, and I really need some help. I'm throwing a bit of a fundraiser; an Iron Artist extravaganza! Colored studies for a slightly discounted price, as many as I can handle between now and October with an end goal of 100 slots completed. Whoa.
This time, I wanted to keep it organized and simple. Only one style of commission (flat colored sketch studies) for the slightly discounted price of $40 (normally they are $45). Single characters only, no upgrades or fees.

Posted 9 years agoI can't wait to see what my patrons pick. For the next comic, I'm in full on Zootopia mode. Here are the choices!
1. Officer Clawhauser and Chief Bogo have won free backstage passes to a Gazelle concert! How exciting!!! But as they're nervously waiting backstage to meet the pop idol, they happen across a buffet table heavily laden with sugary pastries. Both eat, and eat, and eat, until they're unable to move! How will they go and meet Gazelle now?
2. Nick Wilde is now a fully fledged member of the ZPD, but unfortunately, he's still a newbie. He's assigned to work the reception desk whenever Clawhauser isn't on duty, and it's soooo booooring. Luckily, Judy and other fellow officers start to bring him donuts and other tasty snacks to help him pass the time. It's not long before Officer Wilde becomes a permanent fixture in the ZPD main office...because he's simply too big to move!
3. Judy Hopps has returned home for the summer to help her parents with their roadside produce stand when one of them is forced to go on medical leave. It's not the same as fighting crime in Zootopia, but Judy never backs down from a task! She reconnects with Gideon Gray, giving him piles of fruits and vegetables which he then transforms into scrumptious dishes he asks her to try. Judy starts packing on the pounds, but Gideon's creations are so delicious, she just doesn't care!

Things have been quite busy in the Jelliroll camp of late! I have a lot to share with you guys. :)
First off, I'm opening up a three hour Art Slave Block this Wednesday the 9th. After doing a trial run I've decided to price these hour slots at $45 each. I highly recommend getting these slots if you want sketched sequences or comics. I'm a very fast sketcher, but slower to ink and color. Here are the rules:
- The time for the block is flexible, we'll discuss and find a good time for both of us

- I'll be doing sketches, because I'm quicker at them and you'll definitely get your money's worth

Posted 9 years agoI've seen a few other artists do this and I think it sounds rather fun! Blocks of streaming time for a flat fee, and I'd just sketch whatever the person wanted in hour long chunks.

Here's what's changed.
I'm tying my patreon to my future comic packs. I really enjoyed doing Blobbin Hood 1 and 2, and I want to do more stuff like that! If you find yourself buying most or even all of my packs, then you can just pledge the cost of a pack and get extra content, like wips and sketches. Anyone who pledges any amount will get to VOTE on what pack I do next. Check it out!
If you were my patron before this: I manually removed everyone's pledge. I changed the rewards so much that I didn't want to have anyone accidentally charged for something they might not want. If you want to keep supporting me, you'll have to sign up again! Sorry for the inconvenience, I just thought it was the safest route to go.
Here's a bit of a preview of the voting options for my next comic pack!
1. Sly Cooper - Sly snatches up an ancient artifact, but before he can get away with it, Carmelita shows up and confiscates it! In doing so, she accidentally activates it's power...and becomes a ravenous glutton who can never be sated, no matter how hard she tries!
2. Original Characters - There's a high end burlesque in town, and it's just hired a new girl. The theme of this debauched dance house? Fat, fat fat! Follow our up and coming star as she packs on the pounds needed to properly entertain the burlesque's guests.
3. Mario - Bowser isn't used to getting denied anything. If he wants to feast until he fills the entire throne room, then by god he will.
