I'm fine and am still around, apologies for the extended radio silence on my galleries. My laptop is mostly a potato these days, which complicates the process of prepping pictures for upload here.
I can most often be found on Bluesky, which is the best place to catch sketches/works-in-progress/etc, but I crosspost finished art on Instagram & Twitter. Convention-goers can generally find me behind a table at Furthemore (March, MD/DC), Anthrocon (July, PA), and Midwest Furfest (Dec, IL).

Do you do trades?
Workload permitting, I'm generally willing to work on art trades at art parties or in the Zoo, or at ATC panels.
Do you do commissions?
YES. In fact, this is what will determine whether or not I eat at the convention. I'll be in the Dealer's Den, under the name "JenKiwi". I'll also have original art, prints, Art Cards/ACEOs, stickers, witty buttons, acrylic charms/keychains, and Gumdrop Figures - including some fancy new designs like Big Wee Dragons, Marteenis, and Swamp Coolers. BUY THEM. :3
Do you do badges?
Yes. YOU NEED BADGES. I offer a variety of badge sizes and styles, all of which are full-color and hot-laminated; I also do button badges for those interested in somewhat more novelty fare. :D
What are your limits to drawing?
I don't draw explicit adult/fetish art. Anything else is fair game.
Can I give you lots of money?
YES. I'm working on my collection of dead presidents and shiny coinage.

Can I talk to you?
Yes. I am generally quite chatty, though when I'm concentrating on drawing, I don't always look up and make eye contact.

Yes! You may choose from: Button badges (2.5" stamped button), chibi-style, brony, bust, ACEO, or full-body badges. All badges but the buttons are full-color and hot-laminated.

No Furpocalypse for me this year, but I will be at Midwest FurFest (MFF) in Chicago, IL in Dec, so come see me if you'll be around!

I've WAAAAY too many to post in the time I've got, but whatever's on the laptop/GDrive in a presentable web format should go up. There's a ton more on my ancient scanning PC, but I don't feel up to trying to get it to boot right now as it's hot & my AC doesn't do so well cooling the office loft. (I'll get to it in the Fall, or once I've finished some current commissions & need to scan 'em!)

I <3 art trades and generally leap at the opportunity if I've got time (i.e. am not swamped with commissions). For those that don't draw, I've also been known to trade art for food, coffee, gopher-like errands, etc.

Specifically: Conbadges, sketchbook commissions, regular (pencil, ink, or color) commissions, Brony badges, custom and OOAK Halloween cards, gumdrop figurines, charms, and jewelry, prints and original art, stickers, and variety of buttons (including made-to-order custom buttons/button-badges!).
Do you do trades?
As long as my workload permits. For best results, catch me Thursday evening, at an Art Party after the Dealers Den closes for the night, or Sunday evening after I've finished all but my "take-home" commissions.
Can I talk to you?
You are absolutely welcome to do so! Just don't take it personally if during Dealers Den hours I chat without looking up from my drawing pad - easily distracted kiwi is easily distracted.
f I see you, how can I get your attention?
Shouts of "KIWI!!!" help.
Alternatives include offerings of money, root beer, Starbucks, and caffeinated beverages.
Can I take your picture?
As long as you ask first (or happen to be a candid photographer-ninja that I know).
Can I buy you a drink?
Only if it's the kind without strings attached.
What do I look for to find you?
I've gotten better at answering to "Kiwi!". Barring that, you're looking for a skinny shortish brunette with curly hair past her shoulders. Also I tend to wear a green New Zealand cricket jacket at conventions as I have found it makes it easier to spot me standing on a table.
Do you do parties?
I like art parties, which tend to be a bunch of artists (and art aficionados) sitting around chatting while working on commissions/trades. Also sometimes food is summoned and that's generally good too.
What other cons are you going to?
If you miss me at Furpocalypse, I'll be at MFF in December. In 2018, I'll be at Fur the 'More and AnthroCon; perhaps also BronyCon.

Bronycon is a Go!
Posted 8 years agoManaged to get a last-minute booth at Bronycon after all! It's gonna be a mad few weeks of pony art production, coupled with an attempt to get a not-insignificant portion of my outstanding commissions done, so bear with me if I seem a bit distracted/am slow to reply! @_@;
I'm hoping for another break in the humidity here - it is wreaking havoc on my gumdrop schedule. Hoping to make serious progress on them this weekend once "Something Nice" is done - there's quite a lot of digital coloring on that one, and it's taking me a while (primitive creature that I am, I still have only a mouse/trackpad for digital work).

Workload permitting, I'm generally willing to work on art trades at art parties or in the Zoo, or at ATC panels.
Do you do commissions?
YES. In fact, this is what will determine whether or not I eat at the convention. I'll be in the Dealer's Den, under the name "Positive Elegance Studios". I'll also have original art, prints, Art Cards/ACEOs, stickers, witty buttons, acrylic charms/keychains, and Gumdrop Figures. BUY THEM. :3
Do you do badges?
Yes. YOU NEED BADGES. I offer a variety of badge sizes and styles, all of which are full-color and hot-laminated; I also do button badges for those interested in somewhat more novelty fare. :D

I don't draw explicit adult/fetish art. Anything else is fair game.

I'm frantically scrambling down the home stretch right now, but for those in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area, come see me at FurTheMore in Tyson's Corner, Virginia April 28-30! I'll be selling a variety of pretties in the Dealers Den (Marketplace), or play spot-the-kiwi-art on a variety of convention posters and banners, because we staff artists worked hard on those and they are AWESOME.
Beware incoming art flood over the next day or so, as I attempt to upload six months' commissions and some previews of FTM's gumdrop army. (The convention's theme is 8-Bit Adventure, so there's plenty of video game favorites amongst the gumdrops and convention art!)

Healthy, and headed to PonyCon!
Posted 9 years agoHappy to report I've recovered from December's lovely bought of antibiotic-resistant pneumonia. I can breathe again, I've got my voice back, my lungs are at a whopping 53%, and I've enough stamina to easily walk halfway across a parking lot without needing to stop for breath. I'm also finally well enough to wield a pencil and pen with enough dexterity to not have shaky lines all over the place ruining everything.
So, of course I'll be going to PonyCon in Long Branch, NJ from 26-29 Jan. Feel free to drop by if you'd like!
I shall be getting right immediately back to commissions when I get back. Truly my hands have been too shaky (lack of oxygen, yay) to do very detailed work prior to this past weekend. I'm hoping this means I'll also have the strength/motor controls to sculpt again too! Thanks everyone for your patience!

I Ain't Dead
Posted 9 years agoMFF was fun, and it was great to see everyone who came by! I hope to have pictures of commissioned art up soonish.
Currently I am very sick (I have developed both bronchitis and pneumonia as post-flu complications, thank you so much coworker that knowingly came to work with the SuperFlu), so updates will be delayed. Apologies. On the plus side, neither my MFF roommates (who also shared two 11-hour car rides with me) nor my table neighbors seem to have fallen ill, so I seem to have kept all these insidious germs to myself.
Tuesday Edit: Oh great, it's in BOTH lungs now and its antibiotic-resistant pneumonia, meaning on to the scarier tier of antibiotic drugs! The ones that have side effects like tearing of tendons! THIS IS SO FUN! @_@;

I <3 art trades and generally leap at the opportunity if I've got time (i.e. am not swamped with commissions). For those that don't draw, I've also been known to trade art for food, coffee, gopher-like errands, etc.

As long as my workload permits. For best results, catch me Thursday evening, at an Art Party after the Dealers Den closes for the night, or Sunday evening after I've finished all but my "take-home" commissions.

You are absolutely welcome to do so! Just don't take it personally if during Dealers Den hours I chat without looking up from my drawing pad - easily distracted kiwi is easily distracted.

As long as you ask first (or happen to be a candid photographer-ninja that I know).

What do I look for to find you?
I've gotten better at answering to "Kiwi!". Barring that, you're looking for a skinny shortish brunette with curly hair past her shoulders. Also I tend to wear a green New Zealand cricket jacket at conventions as I have found it makes it easier to spot me standing on a table.
Do you do parties?
I like art parties, which tend to be a bunch of artists (and art aficionados) sitting around chatting while working on commissions/trades. Also sometimes food is summoned and that's generally good too.
What other cons are you going to?
If you miss me at Furpocalypse, I'll be at MFF in December. In 2017, I'll be at Fur the 'More and hopefully both AnthroCon and BronyCon.

Do you do trades?
As long as my workload permits. For best results, catch me Thursday evening, at an Art Party after the Dealers Den closes for the night, or Sunday evening after I've finished all but my "take-home" commissions.
Can I talk to you?
You are absolutely welcome to do so! Just don't take it personally if during Dealers Den hours I chat without looking up from my drawing pad - easily distracted kiwi is easily distracted.
f I see you, how can I get your attention?
Shouts of "KIWI!!!" help.
Alternatives include offerings of money, root beer, Starbucks, and caffeinated beverages.
Can I take your picture?
As long as you ask first (or happen to be a candid photographer-ninja that I know).
Can I buy you a drink?
Only if it's the kind without strings attached.
What do I look for to find you?
I've gotten better at answering to "Kiwi!". Barring that, you're looking for a skinny shortish brunette with curly hair past her shoulders. Also I tend to wear a green New Zealand cricket jacket at conventions as I have found it makes it easier to spot me standing on a table.
Do you do parties?
I like art parties, which tend to be a bunch of artists (and art aficionados) sitting around chatting while working on commissions/trades. Also sometimes food is summoned and that's generally good too.
What other cons are you going to?
If you miss me at Furpocalypse, I'll be at MFF in December. In 2017, I'll be at Fur the 'More and hopefully both AnthroCon and BronyCon.

Anthrocon Meme!
Posted 9 years agoHeya! So I'll be at Anthrocon this weekend and Bronycon the next! Come see me! (Quick photos of this season's Gumdrop Army might be forthcoming later tonight if I can get the rest of my printing and packing done!)
(Also yes, still looking for a room at the Hyatt O'Hare during Midwest FurFest this December. Really not looking forward to hiking over the skybridge with all my dealers crap every day...

YES. In fact, this is what will determine whether or not I eat at the convention. I'll be in the Dealer's Den, under the name "Positive Elegance Studios". I'll also have original art, prints, Art Cards/ACEOs, stickers, witty buttons, acrylic charms/keychains, Painted Ornaments and Buttons, and Gumdrop Figures. BUY THEM. :3

Yes. YOU NEED BADGES. I offer a variety of badge sizes and styles, all of which are full-color and hot-laminated; I also do button badges for those interested in somewhat more novelty fare. :D

What are your limits to drawing?
I don't draw explicit adult/fetish art. Anything else is fair game.
