Spontenuity
General | Posted 14 years agoSpontaneousness. Great method of living life. Not going to lie.
I guess this year I've been really spontaneous. It's sort of required in a way. I have no idea what life holds. Ifs, whens. Screw that shit. I made a list of things to do before I graduate in a year and a half. Just guidelines for cool stuff that needs accomplishing. And I have 5 months before my best friend leaves for college and moves to Connecticut. We'll stay in touch but this year needs to count. So here's to spontaneity. Push me off a cliff because life's too damn predictable. So here goes nothing. ^^

perpetualism
General | Posted 14 years agoWell halloween came and went with a great many of creations. Once again it kinda snuck up on me. Yes I'm thinking about it as far back as april but plans never go into effect until the night of. I ended up spray painting my roman centurion costume in my schools spray booth during a study hall and then wore the costume to assembly. (I even still kinda smelled like spray paint at that point but it was all good) I wear costumes and get ups to school a fair amount so this was of no surprise to the populace. All my senior friends graduated last year and those of us who dressup and go big for things are few now. One of my friends dressed as a bumble bee and another as an angry bird. In away I love standing out but I was kinda sad that more of my peers didn't join in. Our lives may be average but I guess I'm just a little more "average" than many :/
Either way. After halloween James and I went to the masquerade ball as robots. Nicki was in Mass for college so we didn't do anything this year. A far difference from winning best couple last year but I still had fun.
Its november now. The weathers bipolar as usual. Maine can never decide whether its hot or cold. We got 3 inches of snow before halloween, and today it was almost 70 degrees out. I see why all the people from out of state are like WTF? it never makes any sense. In a way I love not being able to predict it though. Its natures way of being like fuck you, now eat chaos.
Anywho figured I'd post a quick update. Now if you excuse me I have to finish an english essay that was due yesterday :P
Cheers,

Tonight... I'm a tiger...
General | Posted 14 years agoThe chill is beginning to set into the air. Soccer is in full swing and my metabolism is peaking that hill that will run until next June.
Amid soccer games, conditioning, school work and theater starting up, comes homecoming week.
Each year every class is assigned a rival team of another school. We incorporate their mascot, build a float with a theme around said mascot
and then a parade is held through town. After the parade is a pep rally and then a huge bonfire in wich we burn an effigy of the rival mascots.
This being my junior year and third go at homecoming week I've got the routine down. Our float is almost finished and the games have begun.
This year my class got the Dexter tigers as the mascot. After a brief debate we decided to go with a circus themed float.
Usually we have so many unattainable plans and things that never work out. Well this year was different. It being a circus theme
and the mascot being a tiger, one of the field hockey players ( she usually takes the leader position in everything) decided we needed a clown and a tiger.
So they rented a clown costume and a tiger suit.
Any of you that know me probably know that I'm pretty shameless. (ie cross dress day this past summer at UMO) . And I'm pretty energetic and out going.
Well the first day of float building alot of my class mates were thinking of who would make a good tiger. Naturally the majority (to my pleasant surprise) felt
I would be a good candidate. I agreed to do it not really expecting the plans to go through but thought it would be cool if they did.
This evening to my surprise I arrived at the float building to find a tiger suit.
So wish me luck Thursday evening!
Because tonight, I'm a tiger :)

10th year coping, in my error I see how we move on.
General | Posted 14 years agoAs of now its 49 minutes past the 10th anniversary of 9/11. While I'm just as patriotic and affected by this event as everyone else this year I kinda felt pretty low.
Friday september 10th started off great. I had first period class and then break. during break a bunch of friends and I started a spontaneous rave party in the instrument room. its this huge empty room thats pitch black with the lights off. My school just got everyone ipads so we all downloaded RAVE lite which simulates strobes and glow effects. we had about 6 ipads going and then another playing rave music through some speakers.
Not gonna lie it was probably the best time I've had in my life in awhile. Unfortunately we kinda missed the beginning and most of assembly. That assembly happened to be a 9/11 remembrance thing. Halfway through our rave the academic dean opens the door to the room. Busted. He told us to get to assembly.
Nothing makes you feel worse then realizing that while all the rest of the students are at assembly for something like this you are dancing and acting foolish. I'm not even sure what word to use for that feeling. Its somewhere between shame, regret, failure and horror. I think mostly shame and regret. Anywho so I spent that day thinking about that. I never dwell on things. what happened happened. Were slowly getting back on our feet and America will remain strong.
Just that morning was shitty in that respect that way. Personally If I died, I would not want my country or my friends to mourn me. Some mourn to cope, its what humans do. I usually mourn in my stoney silence I get when someone close dies, but I cope with music. I regret that I was not mourning with the rest of society at that moment. I was not in the bleachers with my head down in silence. 9/11 is a tragic part of history but we must move forward. So heres my letter of admittance to error, but heres also to moving on.

General | Posted 14 years agoSo today was pretty much awesome. I came to school to find several of the foreign students (mostly korean, japanese and a few chinese students) to be wearing different garb than usual. At first i thought it was going to be a assembly presentation so i brought my camera to assembly.
no mention what so ever and we were dismissed. as the school was leaving the gym I noticed all of them congregated taling and such. later I found out they were all cosplayers and had setup today as a day to cosplay during school! It was epic. I know my self and a few friends have dressed up but nothing like this. So far I've paraded about after school in my theater garb, worn a darth vader mask during pre christmas break and worn my werewolf mask during homecoming. But this was awesome! So tomorrow me and several other geeks are using our larping getups and joining them. Oh what I'd give to have my fursuit completed :P I'm going in my usual wizard garb and borrowing a fake beard from james. And who knows what ryan will go as. Anywho I just had to share the awesomeness.
OH and the best part was someone went as a dragon/dinosaur/godzilla thing. it made my day ^^

Video producer?
General | Posted 14 years agoAs always its creeping into the wee hours of night. nocturnal as always :P
So I guess now I'm kind of a video producer so to speak. I'm currently devoting about half my life to film projects and assisting the less
geeky with theirs. Over the weekend I had planned to film more of the action movie but we ended up filming stunts and having an airsoft war.
No complaints here, but i am a bit sore from going into ninja mode too much :P (ie matrixing airsoft, sliding corners and jumping trenches)
Since I'm the one with all the equipment and the editing knowledge I'm working the full production other than most of the acting.
Producing films is great. now all I need is a bigger hard drive and I'm all set :)

Nocturnal Artisan
General | Posted 14 years agoAs always its 3 am ET. Facebook is barren to say the least. Twitter feeds are slow, and I'm tired of trying to hack together stupid software.
Its April vacation. Theater performances came and went with great success. I stayed at Ians for about a week to minimize travel.
Currently I am getting BlackBolt Tech running after having taken time to learn more about electronics. I'm opening officially the end of April.
After becoming kind of renown at my highschool for being the "tech-head who fixes ipods" I decided to start a business and earn some money off my work.
It doesn't make much but its pays more than if I worked at McDonalds and I'm getting paid to do what I love...mess with technology ^^
I was asked to do a documentary for a historical land trust organization this summer as well. While I will only be home on weekends due to further education 6 week program this summer, I hope to spend my free time working on this as well as with my cinematography work for my end project.
I'm happy that my aspirations of working in film and cinematography are for the meantime, actually panning out. I'm learning alot with final cut pro, my camera work is better and I've held a constant A in film class.
Its weird, I have this constant anxiety that I'm failing and have to worry about things. The reality is, tis is the first semester where I havent had to worry at all. Classes are easy, I have tons of free time and I'm happy. I hate the stupid phantom emotion shit stuff that seems to follow me around. For the most part I'm fine but every once in awhile I have to remind myself that all systems are go; which gets annoying :P *sigh* anywho, no complaints about life AtM.
Other than this not much is up.
A blackout dance a friend of mine was putting on recently got cancelled so that was disappointing.
Me and some friends had a run in with the cops while filming at an abandoned factory :P Turned out to be a misunderstanding and the owner didn't know what we were doing. We just were asked to leave and then they took names and stuff.Lesson learned -- Get a property permit before you go running around abandoned buildings filming with military props :P So that was rather interesting.
There are a million more things I could write about but I'll save it for the rest of the more visited internet :p ( I act like anyone reads anything )
anywho - cheers!

February break
General | Posted 15 years agoFebruary break is here. I'm happy. Hangout with friends, get some work done. Maybe work on my fursuit...idk. So i spent the last week sick. I never get sick so it was quite the event. missed 4 of 5 days of school. First year I wont have perfect attendance in about 5 years! Either way so i finally got over it in time for break.
Now I guess i'm uploading m photography. Its about the only art I do these days besides the occasional drawing or writing and FA doesn't have film uploads.
You can find my film works on youtube though. Anywho, just a quick post...

Where you been dawg?
General | Posted 15 years agoGreetings once again. I realize that I haven't been on here in AWHILE. Mostly due to the fact of a catastrophic chain hardware failure of my network and mainframe :P To put to scale what happened ,picture this. 16 systems. Only ONE runs. Barely. I have no idea what struck or why but in about a period of a week all my systems went down. Hard drive corruption mostly, bad motherboards, RAM going. Its been kinda hell :P So for the past month and a half I have been using school computers and my ipod, occasionally a school laptop. You can see that my options are limited.
ANYWHO...Thats the only down part of recently everything else is looking up. Christmas came and went. I received some tools, money and other goodies. My arsenal now contains a marshmallow shooter. But the best present was a friend helped me clean out my basement so I now have a workshop for projects. Its a little cold and I'm renovating but its looking up.
As for school, its great! I am now in my second semester of sophomore year. I did ok grade wise, film and theater being my best courses naturally. Then welding and geometry. Finally my chemistry classes and health clas grades wernt great. I passed but they should have been higher.
As for now I have american history and english. So far so good. the best courses for me this semester are film, multimedia and theater though im considering taking up playwriting for some side credit. I have 2 study halls one day and one the other so I have plenty of time for filmmaking and media creation. For the past 3 weeks I have been learning final cut pro, green screen ad special effects. Its pretty fun and I am sort of looking to take film as a career. Or at least video production and graphic design.
Well thats about it... - cheers, Jettris.

The Future has arrived! XD
General | Posted 15 years agoSoooo, hi.
yeah...Alot has come and past the last few months. An Epic Halloween, Black Friday, and several new creations on my part.
THE top TEN awesome things of the last 3 months, and those to happen soon.
(note: not necessarily in order )
1) I got a new camera for pictures of my work, and finally will have an active channel on YouTube.
2) I sold my yard of black fur for someone to make a mustache costume for Halloween. lets just say it was epic.
3) I now have an airbrush.
4) My Wacom tablet arrives around Christmas time.
5) My deviant art is active after an account switch.
6) BlackBolt Electronics Customization commissions open in January.
7) I now have access to a spray booth and am renovating my basement.
8) Website is going...sort of.
9) Liscense in a few more weeks = more fur meets :)
10 ) fursuit build starts 18th!!! w00t!
Thats about it. I could have written all that out but I made it short and sweet.
Over Christmas break I'll be sure to fill in my external links and upload artwork and progress pictures.

Lazyness aborted! Drum rollz Plz???
General | Posted 15 years agoHi. Welcome to another wonderful journal post that will probably sit stale upon my FA for 2 months before I update it again right? WRONG! (I hope :P)
I finally am updating my miserable excuse for a "presence" upon the wonderful interwebs. Right now, being the nocturnal creature that I have come to be it is a bit early compared to my usual lurking endeavors that last untill dawn.
My sanity isall somewhat slightly mostly here. I'm pretty awake, and general cognitive activity hasn't slowed to a crawl to where I usually am incapable of recoding my user page. Tonight I began experimenting and fully mean to overhaul my page. Thankfully my brain is fully capable of rendering basic html this early in my keyboard quest.
Anywho, quite a bit has changed since last post. I am the now proud owner of my driving permit. No one died in the process and my instructors dignity is still with him. I didn't expect to get my permit until school started if at all this year but I managed to catch a lucky break.
Samara was taking drivers ed and her mother offered to transport the two of us back and forth. After shelling out 420 bucks and some hastened paperwork I got in. 3 weeks of drivers education was extremely interesting and fun! tolerable in class but excellent out on the road.
The last day I got to drive a mustang and besides receiving my permit and getting to spend 3 weeks of my summer with my girlfriend, it probably was the highlight of the course.
So now I get to chauffeur my family around in our toyota, so far I'm not complaining (yet) and driving is still fun. (occasional accidental peelouts from stops signs are both embarrassing yet kinda fun)
Besides that taking up most of my summer I also managed to procure several jobs to fulfill my financial requirements. Doing farm work and helping my father in contracting work restoring a vintage farmhouse. Both jobs being tedious but the pay is nothing to complain about. Also at the end of the the latter job my dad will be receiving a motorcycle as partial payment.
He has always wanted one and I wish to at least get my motorcycle license even if my mother refuses to let me own a bike until I move out of the house. Even If I think it's for insurance costs, I then realize it's probably the fact that she's not to keen on her son rocketing round on a deathtrap into eminent peril. (with all the large trucks and drunk idiots around I cant blame her for her position in the matter, whilst my father thinks a bike is a great idea, mostly for gas prices and not for me getting flattened by a semi truck)
Between the driving and jobs I spent most of my free time socializing, sleeping and making lame attempts at stopping muscle atrophy with exercise. (And partially succeeding might I add)
Even still with all my free time my fursuit remains partially finished yet still aways from its potential greatness. Several factors including lack of now free time, lazyness syndrome and procrastination being my main detours. however my desire to join my fellow furry freaks in this obscure yet highly addictive hobby remains strong and I expect to be 3/4 of the way finished in the next week or so. (The head piece requiring another later block of free time whenever it comes along :P )
Well, I guess "thats all folks". *insert porky pigs stutter and accent here*
good night and big balls. (wipeout reference for those of you uninformed)

General | Posted 15 years agoAs far as i know its Saturday. Checking my watch I'm correct. Seems I never know anymore. I wake up at six. get ready for my day. Work anywhere from 8 am to 8 pm. It earns me cash and I'm going to be away the next 3 summers. Right now its odd jobs, mowing lawns and I opened my bike repair shop again.
I've probably made about 200 bucks in about 3 weeks. its picking up though. unfortunately i probably just blew 200 or so on tech shit. New LCD monitor. 1 TB drive for pc. new webcam.
So I'm having a grand time messing with all the new cool shit. Also found a 26 inch sanyo flatpanel tv in a ditch. WTF moment right there. Screen works, display input ribbon cable needs to be replaced. worst comes to worst I just hack the hell out of it and make it into a designated pc monitor. I think i can fix it though.
Lets see, what else... Well I finally got the fur for my fursuit. Its probably one of the most awkward things being a male teenager walking into Joann fabrics for the first time. Totally out of place. But this was probably my third or so time I'm getting sorta used to it. As if some old lady with her knitting supplies is going to really give a shit about what the hell someone like me is doing in a fabric store. Either way. I bought a yard of black longpile fur. the stuffs pretty crappy but I figured might as well start somewhere. Paid $10 for that. Then I went to Mardens in Waterville. Not the greatest store but they discount everything and you never know what you'll find.
I walked in expecting to come out with tools, maybe some random piece of technology I could take apart and piece into something cool or even find another desklamp or somethig.
That day was probably the most lucky day I've had in a while. I walked out with a yard of this amazingly high quality fur. sorta wolfish color with light brown streaks and such. Perfect for what I was looking for and for $10 a yard i wasn't going to pas it up. Looks like I might get my fursuit finished this year after all! I also walked out with a tactical flashlight for $1.49. Thing out shines my modded maglite!
The hardest part of getting the fur was smuggling it under my moms nose. She hasn't a clue as to what the hell I'm up to. My parents don't even know (or even remember by now) that I'm a furrry. Explaining to your mother why exactly you purchased a yard of fake fur was definitely not a conversation I was looking forward to. We'd been shopping around earlier and I managed to get back to the car after I quickly checked out and stash my prized find in a bag of new clothes. then i went back into the store and told my mom that was ready to go. It worked :D
Those are the main highlights of the past month or so. besides the fact that school got out. I passed English with a C, Biology i would have aced but i slacked and got a B. Its funny I ace my electives but fail or almost fail my core classes. So much for beneficial required curriculum...
Either way. Schools out. Moneys in good supply, technology is for once behaving itself and I now have time to finish my projects. Life's feeling pretty good. going on 4 months with my GF and were meeting for a day tomorrow. And my uncle is up for the usual 2 weeks. Ian has another case of fireworks. We got our second kayak, I paid of my windsurfing board and my business is now getting back on its feet.
Its almost 1 in the morning and I need to be up by 6 to work . Excuse my poor grammar and misspellings, I'm tired, and Google chromes spell checker is screwy.
So, cheers - jettris

MY life comes with a soundtrack, its called my mp3 player
General | Posted 15 years agoHere I am again. its 11pm and I have found my self on the internet once again for another late night of random crap on the internet.
My life continues to be chaotic and undecipherable ball of random events, happenings and tales that leads me around like a lost kite caught in the stratosphere.
Ever since signing on to the school musical I find myself awaking at 6 am going to school then waiting several hours until rehearsal and arriving home anywhere between 9 and 10 pm.
I can't say I'm displeased with my decision but every once in awhile I stop and wonder what it be like if everything just stopped and disappeared. Nothing to do, worry about or think over. It'd be nice but Ive gotten used the routine and would probably have no clue what to do with myself.
Either way... Recent events have been fun. I went to an awesome concert, which was epic.
I lost my phone for 3 weeks and today James found it in a snowbank at his house while we were discussing random shit over the phone. I was happy. It was a little wet but we managed to revive it and now it sits comfortably in my pocket where it belongs.
Also today was "day 3" of a sort of spontaneous relationship. Wednesday morning I was handed a note asking whether I liked somebody. Rather than go on about the rest of that day ill just say it ended well and I now have a mate :)
As for right now I am currently trying to download a 20mb wacom driver for a tablet I'm borrowing from school. It's been 10 minutes and I have 3.5 mb out of 20 with an hour remaining yay... You gotta love dial up (FML)
Other than that not alot is new. We now have no snow what-so-ever and its around 50 degrees. Rare for March but I'm not complaining....
Tonight I also rearranged my room at 9:30 pm which began with my moms usual question when I randomly move things "what the hells going on up there?!?! Moving furniture?" to which I replied back "yup!" Now to take care of all the crap that had accumulated where my bed had been...
Well, that about covers it thats whats new in my life.

Three Days Grace concert, Birthday,Vacation..yeah!
General | Posted 16 years agoLife. Both bitch and blessing. *sigh* Well, alots new. Not sure where to start.
I passed all my classes.Aced only one. Art of course! New semester started. I have to say major improvement. Now I'm taking engineering, guitar, biology,English and gym.
Had my birthday. Didn't do anything special. Just a family get together. Got a million happy wishes from peeps online. It was good. One friend gave me a new mp3 player and flash drive. which was nice. Now I'm just waiting for a drivers education class to open up so I can get my permit.
My band got back on its feet after our break from last performance. New guitarist, our old one moved 45 minutes away to dover where i go to highschool. still close friends, he just cant make the drive to practice. every week.
I'm having fun with it still. Had to leave my drum kit at James's house since lugging it there every few days was a pain.So i have to practice at school.
Funny how many people get the urge to take my sticks out of my bag in the hallway or in class, drum on something and hand them back. I find it both amusing and annoying.
Theater recently finished our tour. 4-5 performances. last was at an elementary school. I have to say seeing those kids faces light up was the most rewarding thing i've gotten out of anything in awhile. Of course I went right ahead and signed up for the next thing; Aida for the school musical.
Got a better part than I had originally since I can do acrobatics. I love it when my silly little hobbies get me places in life.
This weekend's a blast. Friday night I DJj'd another dance. 4 hours of lights music and good times. caught up with a bunch of people from my old school. Real small crowd compared to last time. there was another music event going on 20 minutes away so we lost a hundred people or so, but i still had great fun.
Also Sunday night James and I are going to the Three Days Grace concert! Excited. Meeting up with a bunch of people. He had room to bring some friends so I got a chance. Its also Breaking Benjamin and Flyleaf. So a rock AND metal concert together!
On February break now, so plenty planned for the week ahead. Looking to buy a tablet for my artwork, upgrading my PC and hopefully catch up on some well needed sleep.
anyway, thought I'd post a quick journal..

Happy New Year!
General | Posted 16 years agoSO pretty generic title to start with. for an awesome night. Me and the band members and family along with a few other people got together. good food, good people, and I brought fireworks to boot! Touched those off. When we came back into the house I could see my mom was happy to be rid of them. (their illegal in my state *grin*)
So the end of 2009. Naturally someone figured out how to arrange 2010 into those glasses. cant wait to see what they come up with for 2011, should be interesting.
Also today after 2 years, I finally got a TV tuner card for my computer. it was on sale for $50 normally 150 so I got it. I'm pretty pleased. Now I plan on getting a new monitor. I priced them in best buy and am looking at a 24 inch widescreen hannspreee. did some research on cnet and seems ok. good for gaming, video watching and rated pretty high resolution which is necessary for doing digital art and such. Then enjoyed midnight celebration (eastern time) with family. afterwards I randomly selected friends to be receivers of random highly enthusiastic "happy new years" comments.
all for now. and again, Happy New years!

Live and learn. Me? HA! yeah right..
General | Posted 16 years agoLive and learn. that's what they say. will I ever? Oh, sometimes.
I'm a pretty intelligent person, a least I'd like to think so.
Yet here I am AGAIN and it's almost 1 AM. *sigh*
I know I have stuff too do tomorrow. I know I'm going to be "draggy" yet here it is. Me,in front of my computer in the wee hours of the morning.
I have too much to do, to little time. That's why I'm up in the first place. It's a vicious cycle. *smacks forehead*
Anyway current to do list =
- Finish 5 page essay due January 4th
- Clean my bedroom before january 4th or mom will have my head
- I was hoping to finish my long overdue fursuit by christmas. time FAIL on my part. Though I have most of what I need, just time to do it. I guess I'll aim for before my birthday (little over 3 weeks. should be enough time.)
- Catch up on my math
Thats about it. It's stupid to be sitting here right now, but I know I'll just la there for an hour anyways so why not be somewhat productive.
Anyway, in an hour or so I'l make my elf g to bed. today i got in sleep just t was a bad idea.
last night i was up til 330 am or so. woke up at to take care of my friends animals (they were on vacation) got back, ate breakfast at like 10 ish, and proceeded to crash on my bed till like 2 pm. which made me awake till now.
I think tomorrow, I'll gt some caffine in me and rough it the whole day, and adjust to a more practical "sleep cycle.
