Controversial Meme - Yeah, I've answered it too
Posted 15 years agoShared with A Pseudo-Journalist's Surreal Den
1.- Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post?
Yes. I think I can handle this...
2.- Would you do meth if it was legalized?
No. I'm not on drugs.
3.- Abortion: for or against it?
Against it! Unless a mother's life is in danger... And it could be a hard choice even in that case, from my point of view... For God's sake, we are talking about a child's life after all! Wear a condom!!
4.- Do you think a country would fail with a female president?
How can I answer that if we haven't even tried by our own?...
5.- Do you believe in the death penalty?
No. That would be a favor for any criminal, and a condemn for any civilian who could be innocent.
6.- Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
I repeat, I'm not on drugs.
7.- Are you for or against premarital sex?
I'm even not sure if I believe in marriage... But I believe in "making love" with someone who you really care about..., not just plain sex.
8.- Do you believe in God?
Absolutely, despite I'm not part of any organized religion since a long time ago.
9.- Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Of course! Despite I'm not sure to believe in marriage, of course it should be legalized!
10.- Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
Who can blame them. It's hard for many of them to build a decent life in their homeland... Despite there's still a deep social problem, both for migrants and the american people.
11.- A twelve years old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
As long as the mother has the economic means for maintaining her child... In any case, I think any mother is in her right of keeping in touch with her child.
12.- Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
I live in a country where you can have a beer being eighteen years old... But I don't see how lowering the alcohol age could help to fight alcoholism.
13.- Should the war in Iraq be called off?
I still think that democracy in Iraq could be brought in another way... A far more pacific way, and a less clumsy one.
14.- Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
I need to wear the shoes of a seriously ill person in order to answer that question... God saves me from being seriously ill, of course.
15.- Do you believe in spanking your children?
Hell, no!!
16.- Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
Not the American flag, and not any other flag, including mine.
17.- Who do you think would have made a better president? McCain or Obama?
Obama. I've never trusted in McCain.
18.- Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
I'm being honest with them, so I'm not afraid... But we can talk freely about my answers... And even they can question my point of view, as long as there's respect among us.
Rise your voice, folks... And keep your talent alive!! =^_^=

Street Fighter: Legacy - Short Fan Film

If only a new Street Fighter movie could be as good as this short film... *sigh*
(Don't forget we still have the Animated Movie, Jey.)
That's right... But I still wish a live action film that could make justice to the source material =/.
(Well, in that case..., have you seen JCVD already?)
Nope, just some trailers of that film... Why?
(Well, judging by Jean-Claude's acting work..., I think he should play M. Bison the next time XP.)
He, he! Well, I won't complain about that if he works with the "Street Fighter: Legacy" crew =3.

I've concluded that LOVE is a feeling that is always being BUILD by actions..., even the smallest, simple ones...
Every action MATTERS for the people you care about..., and for the people that care about you in return..., including relatives..., friends... and lovers...
(I've learnt it through experience...)
Your actions matter, folks... Specially when you love someone.

My Dangerous Hometown
Posted 16 years agoShared with A Pseudo-Journalist's Surreal Den
"Official figures show a huge increase in violent crime in the Venezuelan capital over the past decade, reaching a total of 130 murders per 100,000 population last year compared to 63 per 100,000 in 1998."
"Venezuelans aim to kick crime out", by Will Grant - BBC News Americas - May 8th, 2009
* * *
I've read recently a post in

Nothing happened to them, thank goodness!
However, that reminded me about a similar experience that my mother and I had some years ago in my hometown, Caracas.
(Well, it's pretty sad that you're talking again about your hometown under these circumstances.)
Yeah, I know... But I was needing to talk about that sometime...
(Go on! ;-D)
Thank you, Mr. "inner self", he, he ;-P.
Okay, I don't know how dangerous could be Jakarta... But I bet Caracas, despite this is a wonderful and exciting city to live, is unfortunately far more dangerous...
I think the BBC Americas article I've quoted above talks pretty clear about the situation that the three millions of my fellow "caraqueños" live everyday (despite that article talks mainly about a local martial art style..., but it still works for giving us a context)... However, we've got pretty used to that that situation since..., well..., my childhood, to be honest -_-U.
"Caraqueños" don't feel surprised anymore about hearing from the local media, after every weekend, that there were between 30 or 60 homicides in Caracas; sometimes the numbers reach around the 100 violent deaths every week.
The causes of these deaths may vary, but the most common of them are robbery, revenge, and even a stray bullet from a confrontation between gangs. And these deaths don't occur only in the poor areas of the city; sometimes I've heard about someone who was killed by muggers near of my own neighborhood, a middle class neighborhood...
Crime in Caracas has become a pretty seriuos issue, I have to say. And a similar situation happens in some of the major cities of Venezuela.
Fortunatley, we are "venezuelans"! XD
"And how 'venezuelans' deal with these kind of problems?", you may ask, folks...
Logically, we laugh in their faces, ha, ha!! XP
...and that's when this venezuelan-made short film, "900 Pánico", directed by Hernan Jabes, comes on the scene.
(It has English Subtitles, don't worry :-P.)
900 Pánico - Part 1 of 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHv8J_ZfLzc
900 Pánico - Part 2 of 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dAmeSZclbw
The main character's paranoia seems to be exaggerated... But believe me, most of his motives to feel paranoid aren't exaggerated O_O.
But, despite all that, I still think Caracas is one of the best cities to live in this planet... At least I got quite a view, thank God .
Don't talk with strangers, folks... And keep your talent alive! =^_^=

I'm proud to have been part of the Generation X. I don't fit in the "Gen-X" archetype at all, but I share many, many features with them.
And I think that one of the most important features of my generation... is "nonconformity".
Or, in other words, never give it up and always keep true to yourself... And that includes being faithful with everything you believe!
(But what do you believe, Jey?)
I don't believe in conventional marriage..., because I believe in true, unconditional and mutual love.
I don't believe that we have to work only to make money..., because we have to choose a work only with the help of our own calling.
I don't believe in many of the rules imposed by authorities..., because I want to keep myself as a free thinker and a free man.
I don't believe in the traditional sense of family..., because a true family is linked not by blood, but by joy, friendship and respect.
I don't believe that our dreams should be silenced by anyone..., becuase creativity is our best chance to survive on this planet.
But...
...What do all those beliefs make of you in the end?
(That's a good question...)
Those beliefs make you a "loner"!
Why?... Because just a few of individuals believe in those things you believe.
Fortunately, it's positive when there are people that believe in what you believe.
(Thank God for that!)
However, the most of the time, it's hard to get in touch with that kind of individuals.
And that's the greatest risk of having your own beliefs..., because, if you don't have the love and, specially, the support of any of those individuals..., or the love and support of any "friend", to be more precise..., maybe you won't complete the path traced by your own dreams.
Or worst of all..., maybe you'll give it up.
And that's why being a "loner" is the best reason to tell yourself this... everytime:
"...NEVER ...GIVE ...UP!!"
(Why?!)
...because there's a path you "want" to finish!
...because there's a path you "should" finish!
...because you really don't know what awaits for you in the end of that path!
...because maybe your accomplised dreams await for you in the end of that path!
...because maybe, if you're still a loner, a new found friend or a new found love awaits you in the end of the path!
...because maybe, when you reach the end of the path, you will look behind with a warm smile in your face!
So, keep telling you this always!!
"...NEVER ...GIVE ...UP!!"
...because there are some people that gave it up..., and they missed a lot of things when they did.
Pearl Jam - Jeremy

He was a real boy, believe it or not, folks... And he gave it up, in a tragic way...
