Hey everyone!

Sorry I fell off the face of the earth. My motivation to draw has been warring with my new supervisor position and losing, and I also started some new hobbies and met some new people that are consuming a lot of time. I really do miss drawing - but you may start seeing more sketches and process shots instead of finished pieces here.

I don't... love my current style and I think I've been neglecting the grind of basics. I wanna work on that.

But thank you everyone for sticking around! <3 I DO check in frequently and I've been seeing all your art and journals even if I don't have the energy to interact much. Gonna try to be better!

Back from FWA which was a fantastic tabling experience! There's nothing more heartwarming than people coming over to you and loving your work - enough to go and tell others about it! I had so many people coming to my table telling me that another person had recommended my pins! Even people I idolized for art and fursuit work were buying my stickers and pins.

You all are so amazing! Thank you!

I also got to meet up with SO many good friends that I'd missed dearly! AND!! I got to suit in Sinnabon for the very first time! I really like suiting and would love to do more!

As for pins, I have 3 new designs in addition to my moths!

"Queen" - Which are physically in my hands and beautimous! It's my guilty pleasure fursona pin, but if anyone likes King Cheetahs, Royalty, CMYK or Big cats - it could be for you too!

"Tiny Terrarium" - Arriving mid to late May! A Terrarium pin that is supposed to feature transparent enamel! I'm excited to see how these turn out! Preorders are open on my site!

"Frying Pan" - First pin in the Misconceptions series - Identify with your fellow frying "Pans" with this subtle and funny enamel pin! Been wanting to order this one for months and finally put it in last night!

That's right everyone! Time is dwindling and the con hype is strong! This isn't my first FWA, but It's going to have a lot of "firsts" for me!

For one, this year I will be selling in the Artists Alley - Actual Merch!

Last year I just sold sketches, but this year I will be bringing a large ammount of enamel pins (including all of the designs from the Night Takes Wing kickstarter and my new "Queen" design based off of Kitkat!

I will also be taking discounted preorders for my "Terrarium" pin which will be delivered in mid may!

I'll also have some cheap tails that I made last year that just didn't sell. They are well made and cute, but I have a small home and need them gone~

It will be my first con with a SUIT! She is only a partial, if you could even call her that haha. Her head is made off of a Drakonic Knight base, and I am hopefully making her a armature tail before the con (we'll SEE) She is based off of my alternate skeleton sona and I love her.

Sorry I haven't been posting here much as of late - but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy!

The last week and a half has been stuffed full of packing up pins, shipping packages, and prepping for FWA!

I am trying my very very best to have Sinnabon done as a partial in time for the con - which means I need to finish the claywork and paint in the next week so it can be dry. Not sure how long I can wear her since she is pretty front heavy/ need to figure that out - but I REALLY want to introduce her this year!

Otherwise I am working on commissions in my free moments not at work - just not much I can post until it's done haha.

That's right! As of about 3pm yesterday, I sent in an application for an apartment in Richmond, Virginia!

The place is pretty nice, and I'm really excited to be able to get out of my parents house. Hello art studio! I'll finally get to start my adult life! Thanks to my dad, I sent in for the 2 bedroom instead of the one bedroom. It was only $120 on the base price - so he agreed he'd help with the difference

If any of you are HGTV nerds like me, my new place is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom at 972 square feet! *swoons* The model we saw was an "updated" one, and I opted for traditional, but all that means is that I get white appliances, tan countertops, and white cabinets instead of brown (which I may paint hehehe).

I'm most excited about decorating! >:3 I move up the weekend of the 15th (July) and I'm SUPER hyped.

On the other hand, my budget is pretty tight from month to month. I have a buffer, but I don't want to fall back on it if I don't have to. There's so many bills!

That being said, if you were interested in commissioning me, from here on out the excess money would go towards feeding me and helping me take care of those bills. I'm hoping I'll have a 9-5 job within 6 months, and not have to worry as much, but till then things will be pretty damn tight. X3

I'm so bad at actually updating my followers/friends with life stuff... I guess because I presume no one cares about it? But since I never really talk about things in person, it's nice to get things out in the open.

Ever since I graduated from College, I've been living back home in NC with my parents. Rent is nonexistent, and I got my job back at JoAnns, so as much as it bummed me out not to get insta-hired in my field and start my adult life, it's practical and comfortable. Retail is retail. My coworkers are artsy and nerdy tho. Hell yeah.

But as much as it feels like things are agonizingly the same, a few cool things did happen.

Without school, I could take the time to work on my art! Obviously, I'm not as good as my idols yet, but I can see improvement. I feel like everything I upload recently is art of my sona and my partner ( I'm SORRY XD I feel like that high schooler kissing in the hallway. There will be other, non "me" centric art to come)

Speaking of which, I never really outlined it but I obviously have a boyfriend now. One of my coworkers convinced me to go on a blind date with his roommate. Honestly, I wasn't too hyped about it. I had convinced myself not to date anyone because I would just have to move away soon. But dammit he was cute and nice and a furry and 3 months later here I am.

Ironically, he may move away anyway. It's not 100% for sure yet, but still. I feel like I should be less distressed about it than I am, since I saw it coming, but this kinda stuff is never easy.

As usual though, I'm taking most of those emotions and burying them though, so don't expect any 3 am depressed journals or whatnot. ;p

On... somewhat neater news, my future plans are shaping up as well~ My roommate from college, hit me up today and asked if I possibly wanted to get a place with him after he graduates. We'd been talking about it here or there for a while, and it's always been something I hoped for. We've lived together for a couple years already and know we work well as a team, and raised a dog (Can't wait to have my dog son back!) We are both thinking about settling down in Richmond Virginia.

I was originally set on Philly, but Richmond is actually looking really nice! It's only 3 hours away from NC, and if I decide to visit Ferox in SC, it's still only 5 hours away as opposed to the 3 I'd be driving anyway. The city is has a lot of young people, and it's artsy and, and on a river - just like Savannah! The apartments we are looking at are everything I ever dreamed of (industrial lofts with big windows and exposed brick. There's even a JoAnns down there that I can transfer to, so I have a steady job right off! That's not till July though, so plenty of time to worry about that.

Anyway, all in all, I'm really excited about things that are happening, although a big chunk of it is bittersweet. I'm having to face decisions that are unpleasant, and face realities that hurt - but ones that I would be cowardly to not face head on.

I know most of ya fuzzbutts don't really care, so sorry this went on as long as it did. But typing it out makes it just a little more real, and helps me sort things out.

TL;DR, Sad cheetah is a semi-functional adult who's gotta make some hard choices to better her life. She is more confident about herself, but at the same time has times where she is afraid and insecure about the future. She will be at FWA though. Going to be selling in the Artist Alley at FWA this year, and thought I would put some feelers out there if anyone would like to get a creepy campfire badge from me to be picked up at FWA!

It will feature a bust of your character, complete with a realistic anatomically accurate skull for your sonas animal! They all feature marshmallows as well to tie together the "campfire vibe", although if you have another favorite camping food I can substitute.

Not much interest in my new species, but hopefully after this new round of development they'll be more desirable? Maybe my drawing just didn't make them wantable enough? Not quite sure how uber popular species are made.

So tonight I doodled out several Axie Kit things- including a much more detailed version of what I envisioned them as. I intend to make up a quick species sheet.

Hell, I just want to see these little guys catch on- I'm not even in it for the cash XD

In other news, I leave on Friday to go back to SCAD! While you would think school equals less art from me, having my own room and schedule has been invaluable in motivating me to get things on track! :) I guess being at art school just makes you feel like arting!

Going to think about offering special commisiony things, such as custom screen prints based on how hard these are to do. I want to take advantage of the print lab! My laminator and sticker maker is coming with me as well, so I may also try and advertise badges and stickers more.

Craziwolf inspires me to get back into traditional art- insomuch that I am going to try and branch out (back in?) and work with markers/inks/pencils.

But practicing and mastering my tablet will also be on my to do list.


In short, expect lots of things from me in the next 10 weeks! This unnaturally slow cheetah is breaking into a sprint!
