As of tomorrow afternoon I will be back in Iowa! I'm very excited to get back and get into a routine again, as well as see all my friends! Going to the Iowa State Fair On Saturday and literally could not be more excited. Best shit ever.

Now I'm sure I'll get a lot of Drama traffic because people are interested, but since I've already made a large fuss about this both with the fraternity/con-ops and the hotel I'm just going to make it short and keep it more in a general stance to avoid a lot of that.

Now I want to start off with some of the good. I got to see so many of my awesome friends, Really didn't get too much art besides a few awesome sketches and a pony for my sister. Other Than that I didn't really get any art at all (SHOCK)

I think a lot of general consensus for this con is "if I didn't get to see all my awesome friends, I would have had a bad time" Because That's what happened to me. I got to see a bunch of super cool peeps blah blah. The Dance was actually pretty awesome and not just a shit hole. The general atmosphere was good, but overall I wasn't that impressed with the hotel itself. I really liked the hotel last year and since it's going to be in the same hotel again, I'll have to reconsider whether to return, even though I do think IFC is a great con. I just think they had a lot of disorganization and miscommunication, but this is all due to being in a new hotel blah blah, so I believe if I return next year, it would be a bit better.

Well getting down to business. If some of you may or may not know, We shared the hotel with the Fraternity Sigma Alpha Mu. I guess the easiest way to describe my experience is with three classifications of crimes. Assault, Hate-crime and destruction of personal property. I got into a particularly bad situation with a member of the Penn State Chapter after a few less than serious "big ten Rivalry" comments were had, one in particular mad him furious at me to the point where he got up (he's was about 6'5 I'm about 6) started screaming in my face with comments such as "Go die you little faggot, I'm going to kill you dead... don't cross your arms like a little faggot bitch" in which members of his fraternity had to hold him back and his balled fists. I can't confirm this, but I know in the bottom of my heart if they hadn't held him back. He would have slugged me. He then Proceeded to grab my sunglasses (wearing sunglasses at night? #swag) and throw them across the lobby, thus destroying them. Also during the course of this night, I had a beer glass (the thick kind they have at a bar) thrown at my face, of course he was drunk so it missed my face hit my neck and shattered on the table, in which the brothers blamed me for "why didn't you catch it" implying even sober.. I could catch a beer glass being thrown at me. A bit went on and we talked to Britney who deserves an award for being left alone to run an entire hotel by herself for 6 hours. Super irresponsible for the hotel putting a 120 pound woman on staff with 200+ people in the lobby by herself. Which in part will be a notice of the letter I send to them. And yes. I did share a few drinks with them, and yes a lot of them were super nice, but this particular individual had... a bit too much, and a lot more than myself. A bit went on and super awesome Britney suggested we try to work something out and so I asked a friend of mine (cimmy <3<3<3) to go ask if he'd be willing to apologize so as he was coming over I extended my hand to shake it and start to talk an older gentleman (I presume a senior member of the fraternity) started yelling me "Shut up and listen to what he has to say.." in which I did of course out of respect for him, in which the individual started and I quote "Hey, I'm going to apologize, but this is all your fault.. you know that right?" in which was obviously a completely false statement. I tried to say something but the older gentleman kept interrupting me. The two obviously didn't care what I had to say. and then I just held my hands up and wasn't in the mood to listen to their bullshit anymore, but as they were walking away I tried to ask for his name in which he responded ".... My name is go FUCK yourself faggot" in which I replied. "well.. my name's Jeff..."

the next morning we talked to the manager of the hotel, and he seemed to be understanding and feel bad for out situation in which made both me and my friends feel unsafe in the hotel, and thus the hotel overly compensated us for the trouble we had. But that's not what we will be looking for continuing on. I also talked to The con security, who were amazingly helpful and understanding of me. I've heard only negative things about the dorsai in the past. But After Sunday. I really feel they are a great organization. They're the only ones so far who seemed to care. And all the Con heads seemed to be generally concerned for what happened. The head of IFC hugged me and apologized for what happened, Which really made me feel better and was a sweet gesture.

The next course of action will be both emailing Sheraton and The National Foundation of Sigma Alpha Mu as a hole. I've talked with my father who is a Elite business man (to say the ABSOLUTE least) and after two hours we typed a 4 page professional to be sent out to Sigma Alpha Mu national. The letter will both be over read by my dad and his attorney. I'm taking this situation as serious as The crimes committed against me. And seeing from an article I found about the Penn State Chapter of SAM being suspended in 2010 (http://www.collegian.psu.edu/archiv.....suspended.aspx) I can see this isn't the first the members of this school have caused a disruption based on their laws. In which the letter we directly quite their policies and bylaws listed on their website "There may not be:….any depiction in a demeaning way, of minorities, ethnicities, or **cultural segments**….any depictions relating to sex, sexual paraphernalia, or sexual orientation;…... any use of profanity;…“...The fraternity will not tolerate or condone any form of sexually abusive behavior on the part of its members, whether physical, mental or emotional. This includes any actions, whether on chapter premises or off-site which are demeaning to women or men, such as verbal harassment” I can only hope they take their own policies as serious as they they state them

Of course there's a lot more detail in the situation. But I've definitely learned something out of this and if I have anything to say about it.. so will he.

I'm getting super tired of people saying stuff like I have an "overly simplified character" or "you're so original" (sarcasm) or "your character is boring"and the other elitist type responses to people who have this notion they have "original characters to try to make their character seem better than others.

No I don't care if your character has 17 colors, Crazy wings and two tails. I honestly don't give a fuck.

I developed my character way before I even knew about complicated character design. Jhusky isn't this person I aspire to be. He isn't something I wish I could be and stay awake at night sobbing over the fact I'm not a 7 foot tall muscular winged wolffuskynnycockgon. He's an extension of me. If I was "jhusky" I would act the same, I'd walk the same (well except for digitgrade xD ) and I'd be the same person. inside and out. I wouldn't live some crazy life where I have some high powered job through space or some nonsense people come up with now. I'd be me, living the same life I have now.. just with fur. I worry more about how if I was a husky.. my fingers would be too big or now have enough to play my clarinet. Which is basically one of my biggest fears than worrying about how much my life would be "tremendously better."

If furry was "Real" No one would be like that. We'd probably all look the same and have natural type colors. I mean evolution and genetics wouldn't let us be bright blue or pink or some shit, because we would have died out way before we got anywhere near where we got to today. I mean it's hard to sneak up to hunt something if you're neon pink....

But aside from that whole issue I don't want to go into further. People have this notion that I'm boring because I'm just a blue and white husky.. nothing else. But in my opinion I'm much more "original" than half these people. By aspiring to be so much different than everyone else, I think it makes them even more boring or unoriginal. People obsess so much over the Markings and the crazy lines it makes the characters overdeveloped and strange and by a purely aesthetics standpoint it's unappealing. es some of the characters look cool, most of the developed characters are blegh. adding shit just to add shit isn't cool. developing a character just to make yourself standout just makes you an attention whore. The same reason that dumbass kid in high school wore Neon pants and painted shoes.. or rainbow arm warmers, or those freaky as fuck contacts that make your eyes like cats. Seriously? No. That should not exist.

A lot of people say that if they were their fursona, they'd be more confident with themselves. Hell I'm not in the best shape or look the best, and I'm totally cool with that, because that's just how it works and how I am. I suppose aesthetically my fursona would look better than me, and by a little be in better shape than me, People need to stop using their fursona's as excuses to not be confident with people or themselves, If you really have that much of a problem with your confidence...

Do. Something. About. It.

And what does that even mean "less original" "boring" What makes your character SO much better than mine that I'm just two colors. Hell by a certain standpoint I AM original. I'm so "unoriginal" that I'm original. I mean of course.. there's tons of blue huskies, but They usually have different color hair.. or some type of tattoo or something that sets them apart, and my character being so "unoriginal" this extremely ironically makes me more original, my stereotypical simple design sets me apart from everyone else. I find this extremely amusing

The other standpoint is that some people want others to "recognize" their character. they want everyone to know it's them in art before they see the tag. Why does that even matter?

I would rather be known how I am in person, how awesome I am to hang out with and how I put myself up in real life than people saying I have "nice" art or a "cool character" I have enough standings in real life that people will remember me, they remember who I am through meeting me at cons and at meets. If people think I'm cool to hang with, that means so much more than if they admire or fap to my art. That's why I love my real friends, they don't know about furry, they don't admire me for my character, in fact they'd probably think I'm weird, and that's hwy I love keeping it seperate, because they just think I'm a cool person and it's hella nice to hang out with non-furs once and a while, You people give me such a HEADACHE sometimes :P

I am Jhusky and Jhusky is me, I'm simple, I know it and I'm proud because my simplicity means I'm free to be anyone I wish and not tied down by an online character people expect me to be when they meet me in real life. I designed him based off myself and what ***I*** wanted. So telling me my character is "lame" or "boring" just makes you look like a self absorbed elitist.. and believe me.. I'm a musician, I'm around enough of those people in real life to deal with it online.

Wanting to better yourself is one thing, But do that from the inside.. not the out.

Aww yeah! I had an absolutely awesome 21st yesterday!

Midnight Tuesday we went out to this bar, and we order a drink and I'm waiting for it, ten she hands me my drink and walks away as I'm holding my ID, so I'm like "whoa whoa.. you need to check this" and she laughed and got all excited it was my 21st and the bartender LOVED ME and gave me and my sister like 3-4 free shots, it was probably because she was so stressed at one of her super drunk regulars. But I know a bartender now and I'm definitely going back!!
Then I had class on the morning of my birthday (boo) where one of my new friends bought me a birthday coffee, she was super nice xD so it made the 4 hour class actually bearable for once :P

Basically went out later with my sister and bought my first real alcohol at this store and got some stupid stuff just to say I did : D

Later at Dinner I had a blue moon.. and the waitress didn't card me again. I mean I was with my parents... so why would parents let their underage kid drink... but still... 2nd time I didn't get carded xD

Later that night I went out with my friend who's been my best friend since freshman year of high school, so I think he deserved the honor of going out with me on my first drinking night :P So we order these two delicious beers and.. seriously bitches? Not getting carded AGAIN... so I had to force yet another bartender to look at my ID in which then the beer was on her (more free shit) she also then gave us a birthday shot.... But she didn't pay for my 10$ long island xD which basically fucked me up after 2 shots and two beers having had a glass of wine before we left :P So we stumbled back to his place and placed the worst game of Drunkin TF2 I ever had xD

Awesome day :P I can't WAIT till this weekend in Iowa!! I'm so excited to go to the bars I go to all time.. but now legit wise!

No words can accurately even begin to express the ruhdickalus happenings that were contained within the confines of Novi, Michigan this weekend. If I put it into words. It would take me hours upon hours. All I can say is how much fun I had at the greatest con ever. I don't think I stopped moving for even a second until I just got home tonight. Every second and every dime spent at this con was worth it. I will NEVER forget Saturday night.
