I'm really sad that I have to make this post, but I unfortunately don't have the drive or passion that I used to, and I'm not willing to risk going through another burnout over commissions. So I'm closing my commissions, quite possibly for good. I'm deeply sorry to anyone who was interested in commissioning me in the future.
As for the last couple of people who are still waiting on their commissions, I have not forgotten you! I'm chipping away at them slowly, and you are ALWAYS welcome to contact me directly about it!

Posted a year agoIt's been a while since I was last on DA, specifically since they moved the site to the current layout, but after a lot of thought I've decided I'm going to be posting there again. It was my first real platform and foundation as an artist, and where I met so many of the friends I'm still in contact with today. I can honestly say my life would be very different now if not for the site, so it just feels right to give it another chance. I'll still be here, too, just maybe not as active as over there!

Posted a year agoHello everyone, my partner and I have run into some serious financial trouble lately. He was laid off for two weeks and we're not sure if we'll have enough for rent. So I think it's about time I face my fear and take some commissions again. I'll only be taking two slots right now, both full-bodies, flat or shaded. If these go well I might open more, but for now I'm going to focus on two.

Gaming will likely be limited until I can get a better computer, so it'll probably be a lot of gameboy emulation, Stardew Valley, and FATE.

Posted 4 years agoHello all! I've been in a designing mood lately, and I've also noticed at a lot of my lineart goes unused, so I wanna do some customs. However, to prevent overwhelming and pressuring myself, I'm not going to give an estimate of how many I'll do, but instead do them as they inspire me, that way it's more genuine and enjoyable uwu
-These will stay open, that way you all get the chance to put down your ideas without feeling crunched for time <3
-To order one, just comment specifying which base you want and give me a quick gist of the theme and colors you want. I'll pick a couple of people at a time and note a more detailed form to each.
-Please only submit one design per comment, that way I can keep track of which one's I've gotten to.
-I WILL NOT be editing the bases at this time, since some of them are old and I've moved on from certain lineart styles.

To clarify, this does NOT mean my regular commissions are back open! I just wanna do this because I enjoy making designs for people, and if I start to feel burnt out again I will close these! Posted 4 years agoSo, as the title implies, I'm once again struggling with what to call myself. I mean I guess it's just a word? But it's also not... Am I Demigirl, feminine Non-Binary, Non-Binary, or something else?? This shit is rough lmao
All I know is I'm not a man, I'm not a woman, but I identify more with the woman side, even if only marginally. By that I mean she/her pronouns feel just as comfy as they/them, and I have no desire to have my breasts removed. That's kinda where it ends tho. But I don't mind he/him either, it's just not my preference... I'm also more masculine as a person tho, so calling myself "feminine" anything feels so wrong, but I know feminine and masculine have more to do with expression than gender. AAAAAAAAAAAA

I'm not doing a summary of art this year. I haven't been in the right place to make enough for it, and this isn't really a year I wanna reflect on artistically right now. I am starting to slowly feel better tho, so my hope is that 2022 will be very different!I'm still alive! But please read!
Posted 4 years agoHello all. This is something I think I've been needing to do for a while, so I hope you'll read what I have to say.
I wanna start out by saying that I'm very sorry that I've been so quiet. My goal has always been to be more active, but that's become a problem. I've been overestimating and pushing myself with my art for years, and I'm finally at the point that I need to just admit defeat. Between stressors in my personal life as well as my commissions, my drive to create art is all but gone. I burned myself out. I can't even make personal art anymore without feeling overwhelming guilt and anxiety. And if I don't do personal art, I can't give myself the self-care I need to continue my commissions, and it snowballs into a standstill, hence the literal months of inactivity.
So, I'm closing my public commissions permanently. I might make an adopt from time to time, and I'll be leaving my prices up and taking a commission every now and then from my friends who still want them, but I can't take them from strangers anymore, for my own mental health. I'm so sorry to anyone who might have still wanted one, I really am. For those few still waiting on a piece, I'll be contacting you within the week to discuss further, and once again I'm so incredibly sorry about the wait.
As for the future of my art, I'm not really sure. I want to keep drawing and developing my characters and their worlds, but for now I need to just slow down and focus on taking care of myself and the people who are already here. Art is still passion of mine, but it's gonna be on the back burner until I'm ready to jump back in.
This might be the last any of your hear from me for a while, or I might feel better right away now that this is off my chest. Who knows. Regardless, I hope you'll understand, and I wanna thank everyone who's been so incredibly patient with me. It really does mean a lot. And thank you for reading.Life Update and Hiatus
Posted 4 years agoHello guys! Sorry for the inactivity as of late, I've been getting things sorted out for a big cross-state move, from Texas to Oregon. I am in Oregon now and things are slowly settling down, but the laptop I have with me isn't wanting to boot up properly for whatever reason, so I'm unable to do anything art related at the moment... Hopefully I can get that worked out soon, but until then all art is going to have to be on hold! Sorry guys ;;
I will say tho that I'm already much happier in this environment than I ever was in Texas, so my hope is that being here will make it easier for me to stay motivated and productive! I'm currently looking into getting a new ID and finding a new therapist and psychiatrist, so once that happens and I get my laptop situation worked out, things should be smooth sailing from here on out! (Knocking on wood)
