I'll be a more strict with myself about sticking to the 1-hour and 2-hour time limits since I'm balancing them with working through my existing commission queue, so they might not always look quite as polished as some of the stuff from the past I've uploaded - I've always struggled a bit with controlling how much polish I put into what are supposed to be loose, quick, artistic-freedom pieces, but I've been doing better on that lately and consistently hitting my time goals, especially since i've been a lot more structured with my art streams. 💊 Working hard on my commission queue, about a week ago i switched to Vyvanse 20mg (from Adderall XR 30mg) and it's been doing a better job helping with my executive dysfunction, having a much easier time picking a task and doing it instead of flying off on a million different sidequests! Adjustment was just rough cause my energy level was crashing for the first week, a lot of falling asleep at my desk, especially when I had a few interruptions in my adderall right before switching cause of pharmacy shenanigans - but things seem to have stabilized now and I'm reaping the benefits with a lot more comms getting finished! Might get the dosage upped or a midday 2nd dose later this month for hopefully further benefits.

💒 I'm getting married mid-October! My partner and I have been planning this for about a year and a half, making it a little event for friends & close family - we're getting a lot of help from family on the big stuff, but it's been very expensive for a lot of small things (and time-consuming as we travel to and from the venue), so that's why I've been constantly hustling for more commissions even though my queue is long, and I'm sorry for stressing people out who are waiting on me. But it's only a month away, and my life will get a lot simpler & cheaper after that's done! I apologize to everybody who's been waiting for responses & updates from me, it's been brutal switching up my meds as we get into the home stretch of wedding preparation and I feel awful for having such a struggle spinning a lot of plates, and dropping the ball with a lot of people. I haven't forgotten anybody, and I'm working hard on good structures & routines so I can keep things moving even when things are stressful, so I'll be operating with a lot more of my mental bandwidth in late October. (I'll be hustling from that point on to get some cash together to take my wife on trips and spoil the hell out of 'em hehehe)

📜 On that note, I've got a new commission discount theme, Feedism, and I've made my 1-hour sketch & 2-hour speedpaint tier commissions available again since I've started streaming again! Also also, long story short (i yapped about it a lot on my jimbohusky.bsky.social) but after my computer blew up and I had some time to reflect on my approach to art, I'm taking a break from streaming my commissions for the foreseeable future, and am simply working on them offline like I used to - so I'll be sending out rough sketches for comms immediately after their invoice has been paid to see if I've got the right idea, and we can discuss back and forth about refining the concept over your preferred communication channel. • I split up my basic screenshot commission types - 📺 TV FRAME is for flat color basically, where I keep visual effects to a minimum so I can keep a cheaper color option, with the mindset of making it look like a screencap from like a Disney TMS weekday cartoon. For more complex stuff, 🎞️ MOVIE FRAME is for me to go hard on the lighting and details - I kept going way overtime on every color piece the last couple months, so I'm hoping this will help me stay on schedule better and have more stamina left to clear out stuff waiting in my queue.

In light of the acceleration of Twitter's decay, I'm making an effort to get back into good posting habits again here - I've had my criticisms of FA, but I appreciate that it still hasn't gone anywhere despite all the crazy unstable times on social media platforms, and being a full time artist the stability means a lot to me.

I'll be posting stuff from 2023 first, with most things getting posted first to my Patreon a day or two earlier with hi-res files and such, and then I'll get a post made here on FA that links back to patreon for the extra content. Whenever I catch up on 2023 stuff I'll work bit by bit on 2022 and earlier things that never made it to my FA gallery (figure i'tll take me a few weeks to a couple months though) - currently I don't plan to make individual patreon posts for art pieces from 2022 since they're available in my 2022 artpack.

Speaking of artpacks, just wanted to remind ppl that ALL of my 2017-2021 art is available in one big artpack, bunch of unposted stuff in there that I doubt I'll ever be caught up enough to get around to posting on FA;;;

It's a short first chapter of a stuffing / hypno / WG story starring my fursona Jimbo! It's been hard to categorize since it's kind of a hybrid of a couple mediums - basically an illustrated Twine novel but not interactive so more of a comic since it's principally told through images with some dialogue below. I couldn't settle on how to promote it in my gallery, so i'll just go with a journal for now, just wanted to let FA followers know what I've been up to - i took a week and a half beginning of June to focus on this project that my patrons voted on a while back, and i had an absolute BLAST with it, extremely eager to continue when I've gotten some more stuff cleared out of my commission queue!

I recently finished compiling ALL my furry art from 2017-2021 into a series of yearly artpacks, and collected them all into one megapack for a little cheaper! They have hi-res versions of nearly everything too, previously only available on my patreon!

These have ALL of my sketches and color commissions that I've been gradually catching up with posting here and elsewhere (minus a handful of private comms ofc), but there's a lot in there that i've never actually posted publicly before just cause of how much art i've done some months, so grab one if you wanna see a bunch of stuff that might be hard to find in the meantime!

Just wanted to ask my followers / visitors for something... the recent discovery that the supreme court plans to overturn Roe v Wade has shocked my fiancee and I.

I beg everyone to look for ways to connect with local reproductive health support groups that help people access abortions and birth control as they prepare to do so against the law, support abortion rights activists as much as you're able, and to fight this rising fascism any way you can. Anti-abortion legislators have made it clear they're targeting gay marriage, interracial marriage, and unsegregated schools next, so even if you don't feel it affects you now, sooner or later it will, and it'll be far too late by then.

Voting is such a small part of the problem - the people who get elected need to have their feet held to the fire to actually fight for our freedoms.

Hey all, sorry for going without posting for so long, I kept myself extremely busy in winter 2021-2022 by doing a bunch of stream commissions from my queue and new sketches and stuff, so I've got a pretty huge pile of things to post both old and new that I'll try to chip away at a little at a time. Probably a few hundred pieces I've missed posting since that Rouge pinup, so uhhh I might just pick my faves and leave the rest for my artpack collections lol, more on those later!

Also, a bit of a life update - my partner and I got a chance to take some time off of having to seek out any new commissions / adopts / etc thanks to help from family and friends so we could just focus on working on the oldest things in our commission queues, so you can expect to see a bunch of stuff I've been stuck on since the beginning of the pandemic get posted up soon! I may offer up some adopts here and there, probably as auctions, if we're trying to come up with some extra $$ so we're not having to dip into those savings we were given to help with focusing on our queues, just trying to keep our "this is for bills" money separate from "this is for a treat" money for the next couple months until our queues are clear.

Hey all, got a bunch going on and wanted to let ppl who don't follow me everywhere know what I'm up to!

I'm currently making a big push to revive my Patreon, particularly with monthly pinup polls - my recent Toriel and Krystal pinups are both examples of what those are gonna look like going forward. And I'm working on the poll for September's pinup, so if you wanna make a suggestion for characters i can add to the poll, patrons on any tier can access my discord where I'm checking for suggestions!

The goal is to get some more passive income going so I can do fewer new adopts each month, freeing up more time to work on overdue commissions for those who've been okay with waiting. I used to get our whole rent covered with Patreon, but I way overextended myself by offering too many sketch slots... so it's been encouraging to see some interest in stuff like pinup polls that don't require so many individual works. I'll be looking into a few other passive income routes this month hopefully too, like selling prints and stickers on Etsy that I made first exclusively for patrons, and making pay-to-use character bases.

I'm also working on making art packs out of my body of work - I've actually got a significant number of color commissions and sketches that I've never uploaded to FurAffinity, or posted hi-res versions to my patreon! I'll be slowly uploading those to my gallery here to make it a bit more complete, and you'll also soon be able to get hi-res collections of my art grouped either by year or by kink / theme on my Gumroad. When I include sketches, I've probably got 400+ illustrations to offer, just gotta take the time to get all the hi-res files together and decide how to price em!

If things keep going pretty smoothly for me, I'm eager to take some story ideas I started a while back as patreon rewards, and turn em into illustrated short stories finally! My first focus is gonna be the monthly pinups followed by adopts to keep up with bills, then the rest of my work time will be my commission queue... but I've been benefiting from doing a bit more personal art lately, which has taken the form of making extra stuff to offer patrons. Art just feels really good to make right now, and I wanna keep doing everything I can to keep that feeling going every day.

My partner and I still have a long way to go mourning their dad who passed last month, so my apologies to people who I overpromised on my own recovery time... but I'm also extremely appreciative that everybody's been so patient with me, and especially grateful to those who've continued supporting me via Patreon and such. If you wanna support me and mine, now would be a great time to get onto my patreon as I've been posting pretty frequently, especially with first looks at upcoming stuff! That's also where I'll give first notice whenever I'm ready to open for new commissions once my queue is taken care of, eager to be able to open slots to people who've gotten adopts from me!

Hey all, figured I should give another update since I fell through on some of my June commission completion plants.

TW, gotta talk about a death in the family.

My partner's dad passed away suddenly on June 21st from what we understand to be a heart attack, we rushed up there from a few hours away while still unclear about whether he was going to make it or not but it happened very quickly. It was a massive blow to both of us - my partner has always been super close with their dad until covid, which prevent us from being able to see him for over a year and a half, and I'd just had a good heart-to-heart with him the night before on Father's Day about how I'd realized he'd actually been a wonderful father figure to me over the 7 years I've known him where my dad had been absent. My partner and I got a lot of peace from knowing I'd had that conversation the night before he passed.

We spent the last 9 days staying with their mom and sister, helping them work through the emotions of it and beginning the process of getting their lives set up without him, as they relied a lot on him. They're doing all right, and I'll be positioned to help their mom through a lot of things as she has a language barrier, it was just pretty time-consuming to get through a lot of the first steps. Another close relative is helping with the financial side of things, with his retirement stuff and whatnot, it's just been on my partner and i to make sure their mom gets it.

We'll be visiting them a lot more often going forward, like at least once a month if i can help it, and thankfully both our art setups our portable. It was just so sudden, I didn't have time to bring my art PC or my tablet, so I focused my energy on helping my partner and their family through this rather than on communicating with commission clients, (not to mention I didn't want to talk about specifics until they were ready to), so I'm catching up on that now. I was able to do a ton fo the work for them of sorting through and cleaning up office space to track down important documents and get a ton of yardwork out of the way for them until the next time we visit. Finally got home late last night and got a good night's sleep, physically achy but mentally eager to get more stuff done. I still have a lot of grieving to do, as my partner and I had to hold off on a lot of that in order to focus on family first, but I know that working will help me feel a lot more normal. Not to mention the renewed appreciation I have for being able to do art for a living - he was a musician and occassional writer & freelance editor, and poring over so many of his old documents and being surrounded by his sources of inspiration was really inspiring to me too, and I feel burdened in the best way to keep making the most of the opportunity I've got and the follower base I've been lucky enough to curate.

I want to apologize to people who may have been frustrated with me going quiet on updates, even before this happened... I was really doing well in June on my commission timeline, and felt awful suddenly have to grind to a halt on that when I was humming along. I promised him I'd make the most of the opportunities I've got as a freelance artist and deliver on my promised work to the best of my ability as long as people are still interested in keeping their commissions with me, and I'm eager to just keep on drawing my best stuff yet and move forward with my own passion projects once I've completed my outstanding commission queue.
