hey folks, hope all is well. Sorry I haven't posted a lot in the last while, a LOT has happened and life is a bitch so it delays things sometimes but, it never really stops me from doing things it just slows me down a bit. So, new pages of Swimmer and Changes will start being posted weekly starting August 6 alternating each week. However, after 2/3 months these will be the FINAL pages posted online as each series nears its conclusion and I will not be posting the last 20/30 pages of each series you'll have to buy the digital or physical versions to see how those series end. I know some of you may not like this but I feel it is the best way I can make something of these series ending and is it really too much to ask to buy the finale and support me financially just a little? I don't think so . I may also do a indiegogo/kickstarter for the Final Changes volume as I want to do a few different versions and get some covers drawn up by a few well known friends as exclusive covers but, I'll talk about that in time.



In other news I'm still working on Furry NOT Ninjas & Aliens # 8, as well as the finale of Zo (which is being redrawn/remastered) the Dorothy/Ozma spin-off and the next few Ninjas VS Aliens series which I'll be hiring artists for in the next few months once I have everything finalized story wise.

It was inevitable... Diamond and myself have never really seen eye to eye -they have helped & equally hindered the comics industry for over 30 years. I could go on for days about the companies they've "killed" via their almost unattainable new book order pre-requisites or how shops were made to order a certain amount of Marvel or DC books just to keep their contract with the distributor when they had Marvel & DC - many shops simply could not justify these costs nor did they have the customer base too and especially now, after the pandemic with sales down 25-50% at many shops they have needed to lower their orders just to stay in business. now, of course we also have the added competition of Random House and Lunar (among others) which has further hurt the industry as each company has companies exclusive to them just as Diamond does so dealers are forced to make decisions mainly on what they get a dealer discount for as most anyone that's worked in a comic shop can tell you we don't make money on the new books, and yes, no matter what some may say price does matter & $4.99 US (aka $8-$10 Canada) per book has turned off a lot of people when they can get a digital version for 1.99 or less. Competition is a good thing but, we as an industry need to come together and help one another to grow and the way to do it is to help more studios starting out- lower the order pre-requisite for a time period to help a company & its creators grow to find a fan base. focus on comics ONLY ie, comics, TPB's, manga, . TRY to lower cover prices if possible as higher cover cover prices do scare some customers off trying a book & that may be hard as printing costs have also skyrocketed since 2020. to bring it back to Diamond however- I have no doubt they will come out of this - but, they will have to change how they run their business fundamentally(and I'm not sure I can see Geppi doing that) so, I think it's time for them to focus down back to comics and become the home of small press and new creatives that will be of no interest to Random House, etc... (as Random House has already said they have no interest in Distributing small press comics) Remember, currently most retailers have to work with at least 3 distributors to fulfill weekly orders for their customers and this is not a sustainable business in that way especially with how hard hit financially the industry has been the last few years both stores & comic companies(some examples IDW, Action Lab, Dark Horse, Scout Comics, etc) if we work together we can bounce back bigger than ever but, the way things are now it's only a matter of time before total collapse. So, do me a favour folks... visit your local comic shop and try something new from a company you've never tried before - you may be pleasantly surprised. keep supporting your local shop and small press without you we can't keep going-lets keep the creative heartbeat of comics beating as long as we can.

so, tonight after 20+ years of doing comics with physical inks I have started doing digital inks on my upcoming pages. That's right, tonight's page of Swimmer is the first fully digitally inked page of my career and it'll be followed on Wednesday by Changes. I recently got an XP-Pen tablet and have been learning how to digitally ink pages over my physical pencils (yes, i'm still doing physical pencils i'll work my way up to a fully digital page one day) but, for now i'm just starting to learn how to do digital inks so please forgive me if the pages look a bit off over the next few weeks/months. i'm new to this so i'm still learning and coming from an old school physical inking mindset is hard to get over when trying to learn digital techniques so, if you have any tips i'll gladly listen as i do enjoy learning things slow as I may be on the uptake. I hope you'll still enjoy the new pages however and i'll try to keep em' coming!

sorry for the lack of updates lately. let's just say i've been super busy with various projects and have had to slow down production on the other projects to make sure I can do 24 issues of writing for a returning series later this year so, expect Changes, Swimmer, Zo, and Derp Dragons to be on a sporadic schedule to say the least. Oct, 25th 2005 - July 25,2018 13 years of Changes ...

It's been a while since i've wrote a journal...it's been a busy year for me but, moments like this only come along once! so, I want to say a hearty thank you to everyone that has read Changes whether it's been for the last 13 years or, just recently. I do appreciate it though, it wouldn't hurt to get a comment now and then too ^_~ with Changes hitting page 800 and running for 13 years it is officially the longest running transgender/BDSM comic of all time and though i'm sure someone may eclipse that one day i'm happy up on that pedestal for now until i'm knocked off. With 800 story pages let's not forget the hundreds of other bonus pages that have been posted over the years from pin-ups, to shorts,TPB exclusive stories, chibi Changes, BDSM & You, and of course all the amazing fan art i've gotten over the years from so many talented folks, so many way more talented than i could ever claim to be yes, with all those bonus pages Changes is officially past 1000 pages in total.

But, as the sun must rise it also must set and Changes is currently in its final sunset as we enter the final story lines before the series concludes next year one last time. Two years ago when i was going through Radiation treatment i wasn't sure if I could ever complete the series the way I truly wanted to as it hurt to draw then I took a break for a while and came back after my treatments and started doing the series twice a week in color. Now, here we are , page 800. Sarah is a Domme and is helping a new girl to transition we've come full circle but, as with the rest of the series we focus on the family and the drama in their lives and the lives of their friends.

we've watched the family grow over the last 13 years , we've seen them lose people and now, pets they love but, they've never stopped being a family nor have they ever stopped loving one another even though they do argue now and then. Who knows where Sarah, Jessica, Jamie, Talia, Jen, Aurora, etc will be at the end of the story. years will pass, things will happen and stories will end. Some sadly.

so, thanks for 13 great years of support for my silly little comic. we've got a few more stories to tell before we head into that sunset next year one final time...

A few weeks ago I had another ultrasound and the cyst that was there since December is gone but, they found another growth I didn't feel and isn't painful and it has turned out to be benign (thankfully) but, the doctor has said they'd prefer to operate and then do some radiation treatment so, please forgive me if in the next few months i'm out of it again... and can't update as often like 2 years back when I was getting radiation treatment... such is life...

In January I will be moving so, there may not be updates for a week or two while I get settled. i'm currently working ahead as best I can to be a few weeks ahead on Swimmer & Changes. and yes, there will be a new comic coming soon as well though it will be exclusive to my relaunched Patreon for a month before it's posted anywhere else. The new series is called Princess by Knight and as said, it'll start on my Patreon when I reinstate it in January for just $1 for all content.

for those wondering. yes. we are still working on Zo. it is coming. sooner or later. and I have begun scripting the sequel as well.

Once Yurika ends tomorrow i'll be working on the collected version TPB and exclusive story which "should" be out Mid-January if all goes well.

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well with you all. For me, things are getting better but, my health and weight are still issues i'm dealing with. For the past seven months I've been dealing with a cyst in my breast atop my heart. of course, having that there hurts like hell and I've been unable till now to be able to exercise without extreme pain but, finally, after visiting three different doctors I've been put on meds that seem to be working to dull the pain in my breast and i'm able to exercise and work out but, there is still the issue of the cyst. If over the next 3 months the cyst doesn't shrink i'll have to get a breast reduction surgery which will cost me over $3000 as it's not covered under OHIP. The meds i'm currently on are also not covered by OHIP and are costing me $200 a month but they seem to be working somewhat (even though the side effect is a bit embarrassing) I won't ask for help with money until I know for sure if I have to get the operation as $3000 is a heck of a lot of money. So, yes, the meds seem to be working and i'm feeling a lot better without being in constant pain so, i'm hopeful in three months I won't have to get the breast reduction surgery as losing my c-cups would suck but, such is life.

anyway, comics will be back this week and i'll continue to bring you pages as best i can

As you may have seen posted Ben Dunn and myself have begun an indiegogo campaign to release a completed Ninja High School : Ninjas VS Aliens TPB. It's currently day 2 and we're at 5% of our $3000 goal. This will hopefully, if funded, collect the mini-series that unfortunately never saw a proper conclusion due to low sales through comic shops but, had an over all positive response from reviewers and new and longtime NHS fans. The $3000 I need to raise breaks down like this : $2000 to Ben to draw, tone and letter the final 2 issues & do up a cover. And $1000 for printing 500 copies, shipping costs and paying off indiegogo fees. Anything raised beyond that will be used for extras including an all new eight page short by Sarah Elkins, stickers, a poster and a possible part zero chapter. (among other things I have planned)

I worked really hard on writing this story and want to share how it all ends with the fans. The best comment I got was that it reminded some fans of classic NHS in style and tone and that they really enjoyed the characters. To me, a story is nothing unless it has great characters that can change and evolve over the course of the series and with this that happens to almost all of them we just sadly didn't get to show it when the series was cancelled.

But, now, hopefully with your help I can finally bring the book to you and you can fall in love with a great cast of characters in a fun action, adventure manga style story.

Of course, if the campaign fails (which is possible sadly) I will not be able to afford to pay Ben to draw the rest of the story but, I will STILL release a collection just with the original script of parts 7-12 for those that would at least like to read it.

so, in closing please consider supporting my campaign and i'll continue to bring you stories with great characters as best I can. For as long as I can.

Hi everyone,

the year has only started and it's already getting a bit wild. with a new Nintendo system on the way and the Final Changes story starting later this month! but, before I get into that I need to get into my current health situation which may delay things a while. As many of you know I had to go through radiation treatments last year for cancer related reasons well, i got through that and though it took a lot out of me i was happy to be able to work again. A month or so ago I felt a lump in my breast and worried it could be cancer again i got an ultrasound. luckily, it was only a cyst and treatable and i was put on meds to get rid of it ... unfortunately, the meds seem to have not worked and the cyst has not shrunk leaving me in a very painful situation. I am currently scheduled for another ultrasound this coming week and hopefully will learn if it can be treated or if i'll have to go in for an operation to have it lanced out which will put me out of commission a while more than likely... but, once i know more i'll be sure to post about it.

I'm currently working on several new books including Swimmer vol. 2, The final Changes volume, Welcome to Yurika vol. 1, Tales from Quagmire USA TPB, and a few other stories i'm currently writing and hoping to bring to you later. my hope is to release one book every month from February-June. i'm also hoping to do a kickstarter to get Ninjas VS Aliens completed and into your hands sometimes this year as well.

The final Changes stories will be posted Online...atleast for a while... I will NOT be posting all of it as some will only be made available in the final TPB so, if you want to know how the series ends you'll have to spend the dollary-doos. One page a week will be posted in full color starting Jan 25.

As you may have noticed I have not done any new pages in the last month or two. I've been getting mail asking when i'd be back to doing comic pages again so i thought i'd write a journal and let you know. Much of why I haven't been able to do new pages of Swimmer and holiday strips for Changes are due to my prepping the Changes Omnibus, Lagomorpha vol. 1 and "More" Changes vol. 7 book releases as i was unable to release any new titles last year when i was sick I wanted to make sure that this year was different and while I am still recovering I wanted to give fans some great new titles to read and well, putting together over 600 pages of material over three books is very time consuming. The books are now done and available for order which means I am free to write and draw new comic pages so, when will you get to see them? that is a tough question but, as of now it's looking like June at the earliest for the return of Swimmer (before book 2 releases in July) and the reveal of an all-new series which i'm currently writing but am undecided if i'll be drawing it myself or handing the reins to someone else. As you may or may not know Changes ended it's online run in December but, I will still be doing one final story to finish it up next year in book form only. You'll still get holiday and special strips however so , look forward to those soon. As for other titles Like Lagomorpha,Forbidden Love or Alena's Tank Patrol those returning depends on people willing to donate to get new pages. I'm all for doing them again but without support there's no way i'll have the time to do so. These past few months, heck, the last year has been really rough on me. From cancer, to having to move and now trying to release new books and affording a new computer and the medication I need to be on i've never needed help more than I do now. So, i'd like to get your opinions on my upcoming kickstarter/indigogo campaign and the rewards being offered within it. I'm hoping to raise at least $5000.00 to produce the Changes Omnibus, Lagomorpha vol. 1 and "More" Changes vol. 7 as well as getting a new computer / programs. Currently, I make just under $1000.00 a month and $800 of that goes to rent, bills and food. which leaves very little to produce new titles for you and that is one reason there hasn't been a new TPB in over a year. I usually had extra money working on films as an extra but, haven't done much of anything since my radiation treatments started so, what little extra I make is from online sales and occasional conventions which in the long run is not much. Some may have noticed the slow trickle of new pages and such the last month or so, there was a good reason for that... I was incredibly sick. when you have cancer your immune system is basically compromised and unfortunately a flu or cold that would take a few days normally to get over becomes a 3-4 week ordeal. during this three week assault on my body I lost ten pounds , I collapsed several times due to exhaustion and one of those times I smashed my teeth and lost two of my front teeth. sadly, i simply can't afford to get it fixed so, i'll have to live with it.

I stopped getting radiation treatments last month and will be going next week to see if I need to continue them into the new year after another blood test (i'm hoping not) Currently, i'm feeling fantastic. I may not look it but, I feel like my old self for the first time in a long time and am excited to be able to bring you all new stuff sooner or later.

I'm finishing up on Lagomorpha (including re-drawing the first 10 pages for the TPB) and starting work on my new project which i'll hope to have started in February/ March. In February you'll get a Valentines Changes strip, new pages of Swimmer and you'll be able to pre-order the Lagomorpha TPB, Ultimate Changes Collection (which includes Complete Changes & "More" Changes vol's 1-3+ Changes Remastered) and "More" Changes vol. 7 which collects the entire court case story line.

I'm going to TRY to be at more conventions as well this year once I know my energy level will allow me to go to them. the only for sure con i WILL be at will be Anime North currently but, more will be added to the list no doubt.

As some of you saw, the new 3-issue Ninja High School Mini-series I co-wrote, Ninjas Vs Aliens was solicited in Diamond Previews (order # JAN161067) and you can order it from your local comic shop, right now! I hope you'll give it a go it's a lot of fun. If you can't get it from your local comic shop i'll have copies available in April.

i'm having some fun making new items for cons too so expect to see new posters, postcards, chibi stickers, and more.

I may have cancer but i will not let it stop me from doing what i love even though it may knock me down a few pegs here and there.

After 9 years, over 1000+ pages and many, many ups and downs I have decided with the end of the current story line that Changes will come to an end online. this doesn't mean the series is over but, I will be taking a break from the series for a while and focusing on other projects that need my attention (that also pay better). The final Changes story line will come out sometime in 2016 but, only in a TPB for $15 or a pdf for $8. I will continue to post shorts, chibis, and holiday pages online however in the meantime so you can keep up with the family.

I know quite a few of you may be angered by this decision but, i'd hope you'd be willing to support me as I bring the series to an end (for real this time.. no more sequels) and move on to other projects which i'll hope you also enjoy. i've enjoyed the past nine years of bringing you the story or a boy becoming a girl finding happiness and a family and all the "Changes" involved doing so. so, before I go let's take a look back and reminisce on some of our favorite moments of the last nine years good or bad. What was yours?

Mine was quite honestly, reading comments good or bad as the story progressed and you started to feel for the characters and were very vocal at points with some of my story beats. The best example being Talia, I never expected her to be such a fan favorite but, you showed her love and I kept evolving her from a timid slave girl to a very outspoken woman who is experiencing life for the first time and all the choices she must make. What lies in Talia's future? I have an idea and it'll be in the final TPB and i'll be doing my best to give everyone a final story arc as well.

Before we come to an end later this week I just want to thank you all for reading and enjoying Changes whether you just joined us or have been with us since the start. Thank You.

And as some of you know i'm battling cancer at the moment and yes, at times it makes me weak and makes me want to stop going but, I keep going as my friends and fans support me and it really does mean the world to me as hard as it is sometimes to keep going. You all give me strength and for that I thank you.

but, the time has come to say adieu for now. Thank you and goodnight for now...

P.S. no, i'm not retiring ... you'll get new pages of comics every week just a bit slower than normal as it currently hurts to do too much. yep, drawing hurts >_< but, expect to see Swimmer, Lagomorpha and more soon.

Over the last few weeks you may have noticed that i've not been able to keep up with 5-7 page updates sadly, this has to do with how much my cancer treatments are taking out of me. of course all of this takes time and it adds a lot of stress and sleepless nights for me. but, i still wanted to explain why i've not been able to keep up on work and apologize . i'll be taking the next week or so off and will be mostly staying home to rest as i've been told to. i'll only be going out for food and such when needed (and comics, yoshi's wooly world game & jurassic world bluray what? I need entertainment too :P). while i am stuck at home i'll continue to work on scripts and pages when i'm not falling asleep due to lack of energy as like i said the treatments take a LOT out of me. I have also had to do several more blood tests after recently bleeding out again several times in less than a month.. and as some know that is the reason i had to stop my hrt originally. it really doesn't help i have a needle phobia as well as that adds to the stress when needing to get a blood test something that should take a few minutes can turn into a few hours due to my mindset...

a few that have seen me recently at shows have commented at how tired i look and yeah, i look like a zombie without the makeup with how bad my under eye crows feet are and the way my energy is i am usually only at a show for several hours before i need to leave and rest but, seeing friends always makes me happy so i wouldn't miss those shows.

but, i promised an ending to the courtroom story line in Changes and it is coming(still deciding on if the last Story will be book only or online) and the finale of part 3 of Lagomorpha and yes, more Swimmer too. and some other things i have planned. I just need some time to let myself get back into a groove when my body isn't trying to shut me down every thirty minutes.

I do appreciate everyone's support during this trying time. i'm gonna do my best and be as strong as i can.

hi all,

i just want to apologize as the next few weeks will be slow on new pages and such. since i began treatment i've not been able to keep up on my normal drawing schedule and have been dead tired/ stressed as you can imagine when it comes to these type of treatments... i'm not sure how many pages you'll get this week as i spent most of the day yesterday in the hospital when i started bleeding out badly. i got checked out and yet another blood test but today i'm dead tired and feeling a bit sick and don't have much of an appetite so, am not sure if you'll get three pages this week but, i'll do my best... we are however in the home stretch for Changes only about 20 or so pages to go until the finale (of the story, not the series) and i am still deciding on if the final Changes story will be posted online or only available via book/digital PDF.

hi folks,

i'll be taking this week and possibly next week off as i'll be getting blood tests this week. it is not good and is indeed cancer related as i feared. thankfully, it is treatable and i don't have to go through chemo and such but do need to get tested every month to be safe as well as lose weight and try to stay off sweets (which is a tall order to be sure) i have been increasingly tired since i stopped drinking pop and tea and other such drinks so work is a bit slower than normal and right now, i only drink water and put aside one day a week to have a pop/ snack though, i will probably stop doing that soon too.

i'll keep you all informed for good or bad it'll be a few weeks before i know everything however so, forgive me for that but these things do take time sadly...

As was previously announced Lagomorpha will be getting it's own Trade collection collecting the first three parts (after part 3 concludes) but, this is where you come in! As you may know the original pages of Lagomorpha were drawn over seven years ago so really don't fit with the rest of the book so, would you like the first 10 pages to be redrawn? or, should I leave them as is? If I am to redraw them would you like to see the original pages as a bonus feature in the TPB? and what other bonuses would you like to see? a character guide? exclusive story? pin ups?, etc.. the book is a while off yet but the more feedback I get early will help me put together a great package for the fans so, please comment below on what you'd like to see in the trade.
