Terms of Service / Sample Contract

This is only a sample. Details pertaining to individual commissions aren't included, of course.
As Paypal is the only accepted method of payment, the email address linked to the commissioner's Paypal account is also the only valid email address for formal communications such as contract agreements and shipping address changes. A secondary email address can be given through the first.
GENERAL CONTRACT / Terms of Service
The following is a binding agreement between jjreamBig and you, the commissioner. This contract is considered signed by jjreamBig once sent to the commissioner's valid email address, and considered signed by the commissioner once emailed back to jjreamBig. Any modifications to the agreement within this document voids previous signatures and the contract must be signed again in the same manner.
The commissioner understands that...
- GENERAL
... All prices listed and discussed are in USD unless explicitly stated otherwise.
... Fursuits, plushies, and other physical items are made in an environment housing dogs, cats, children, and the occasional smoker. Suits are prewashed prior to shipping, but allergens may still be present on the articles themselves. jjreamBig is not responsible for allergic reactions arising from contact with allergens on or in the commissioned article.
... Wearing any fursuit is a physically demanding activity and fursuit heads diminish the ranges of eyesight and hearing of the wearer. The wearer of a jjreamBig fursuit is responsible for their own health and safety at all times.
... jjreamBig does not sell fursuits to persons under 18 years of age, regardless of nationality. At any time during communications, proof of age may be requested. If the commissioner is found not to be of age, any payments made, on top of the agreed deposit, will not be refunded.
... jjreamBig reserves the right to decline or cancel and refund any commission at any time. Refunds are through Paypal only.
... The commissioner reserves the right to cancel his or her commission at any time; however, the agreed deposit, funds used to purchase materials for use in the commission as well as the materials themselves, the monetary value of pre-purchased materials, and earned wages will not be refunded. The commissioner will not receive any parts or materials of the commissioned work, which may be sold by jjreamBig to another buyer. If the commissioner bought a jjreamBig original design, character rights are also returned to jjreamBig.
... jjreamBig does not currently accept or provide deadlines to completion beyond a general completion date of six months or less after finished payment, depending on queue order. However, if the commissioner provides proof of registration or hotel reservation for an event reasonably far from the finished payment, I will try (with no guarantee) to have your suit completed in time. If the suit isn't finished (including cleaning, modelling, and portfolio photoshoots), it isn't finished and will not ship. Insured, expedited shipping and shipping to an event hotel or any other location is your choice and responsibility.
- PAYMENT
... A $400 non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance and signature of this agreement. The remainder may also be paid immediately or in scheduled payments within three months of the deposit payment. For commissions less than $400, full payment is required immediately.
... Any non-discussed late payments (including last-minute excuses) may result in the commission being cancelled.
... If payment has not been completed within the three-month period, the commission may be cancelled.
... jjreamBig ships internationally. Any and all shipping fees, including insurance and customs fees, are not included in any listed or discussed prices and are the responsibility of the commissioner unless explicitly stated and included in this contract. Shipping is through USPS unless another carrier is agreed upon.
- MATERIALS FEES
... If the commissioner is sending materials to be used in the fursuit, proof of purchase must be provided so materials fees can be subtracted from the commission price. If no proof is provided, I will assume a $20/yd subtraction for fur fabric, $5/yd on all other fabrics, and $5/lb on all other items. All material shipments must be discussed prior to shipment and unused items and yardage will be refunded by the commissioner and returned.
... If the commissioner is sending materials to be used in the fursuit, he or she is aware of the condition of these materials and that they will be used as-is. Any materials in poor condition or of poor quality may be rejected for use and the materials fee subtractions adjusted, or these materials will be cleaned and refurbished for an additional service fee. However, this is at the discretion of jjreamBig.
... Once materials have been ordered or used, changes to the character design may not be possible or may incur additional materials fees. Previously bought materials that are no longer needed will not be returned.

- WARRANTY
... The commissioned work is covered under warranty for one year following delivery and includes general fit and wear-and-tear repairs. Shipped items must be clean and absent odor or a service fee may be applied or the item returned without servicing. While the commissioner is welcome to small repairs and modifications, any large adjustments may void the warranty. Please ask before doing any non-repair alterations. Shipping is covered up to $50 each way.

Any adult modifications or signs thereof will immediately void the warranty and the commissioner will be charged a $50 "exposure" fee, refund the shipping credit, and be responsible for shipping to return the item. While the suit is yours to do as you please, please do not send these kinds of modified suits back to me.
