I've received some emails and such about commissions and I figured now would be a good time to fill people in on the topic. This week I will be starting to take commissions. I do things a bit different than other artists though. I only take one commission piece at a time. That way we don't have people waiting forever for their pics and I don't feel over whelmed and guilty for not delivering art faster. I'll put out commission calls on my blog, Tumblr, IB and FA in rotation so different groups get a chance. I see a lot of artists streaming their drawing session and I might give that a try too.

As for what I’ll draw… that all depends. I’ll draw pretty much anything really. The best thing to do is just ask and I’ll tell you what’s cool or not. If you want a short list though, I won’t draw any violence, blood, rape or poo.

The monetary damage for what I do is as follows.

$40 – One colour character with a simple background.
+$20 – for an extra character. (2 max)
+$20 – for detailed background.
Paypal is fine for the payment and drawing started once payment has been received.

I think that covers most things. If you have any questions just ask. I'm the friendly type.

So as I'm sure most people know, my blog here is hosted by The JAB Archives. Well, I'm pleased to say that as of June 1st, the whole site is getting a new over haul. Everything about the site is getting a fresh coat of paint and redesign so it's easier to find the artists that you want to see. What's really neat is that even I didn't realize just how many artists we host. Twenty one artists in all, including me! I'm practically neighbors with artists like Jive Guru, Wagner and Karavan and I didn't even know!

To celebrate the new redesign, I've done up a fancy new picture of Random inviting you to come see what's new in the new TJA... and what's in her shirt too. I really do encourage people to go and check out the other artists at The JAB Archives or maybe even be apart of the forum. Most importantly, I want to thank everyone that has supported TJA for the past 17 years. You guys are the freak'n best! ^_^

The other day I submitted a t-shirt design on Threadless. I'm hoping to get enough votes to have it made in to a real t-shirt that people can buy. That's where I need your help. All I ask is that you take a look at it and score it what you think it deserves (0 = low and 5 = high). If after seven days it's received a high enough score and votes, it'll get made in to a shirt for purchase. In order to vote, you need a Threadless account or a Facebook account.

I never came out and said thank you to all the people that came out and offered me their GameCube controllers. I was so surprised by the kindness everyone showed... it really made me happy to be apart of this community. I was able to make an art deal with someone and soon after that, I was playing multiplayer Mario Kart Double Dash with my kids. Why, even just today I was playing some 3 player vs. battle with them and totally kicked their asses. Awww yeah... that's how I roll. ^_^

So once again, thank you all so very much. It's much appreciated.

GameCube controller. My kids love playing Mario Kart DD and Smash Bros Melee. I own Mario Kart Wii but they prefer the GameCube one and I don't own the Wii Smash Bros... I never saw the point. Anyway, I only have two controllers and they want me to play with them. I've looked around and the controllers are hard to find or really expensive. So I thought I'd put it out there and ask if anyone has a GC controller (black is possible... I have the other two colours) they wish to part with.

Note me and we can come to an agreement I'm sure on price or a picture trade or something.

This time I'm bringing something back. Usually I do one character for $40, but I've decided to let you add more characters if you wish. For an extra $20 you can add another character!

Okay, so I've joined the twitter band wagon. Why? More exposure I guess. Seeing if it works or not. I'm following some Japanese artists and I find that what they do is post extra art on their twitpic, and it's cool to see what they're up to really quickly. I think this is really cool to have extra art up there for people to see really quickly. Also, apparently, you can have naughty art up in twitpic because these artists aren't shy about it.

My twitter thing is here. Follow if you wish, the worst that can happen is I decide to twit nothing and you get an extra follow to clutter up your list. ^_^

That means men all over are going to grow mustaches and raise as much money as they can for prostate cancer. I've thrown my hat in to the ring this time too. Now, my family doesn't have a history of prostate cancer, but I know there are lots of others that do. Together we can help out. So remember that 3d squee pic I did up? I've made up the 3DS version for people to try out and it's over at my blog right now. It was pretty fun to make up and not to hard ether, but it did take some time to cut her up so I could make sure I was getting the depth right.

I think I might do more of these from time to time, but I'll have to prepare for it a bit better. Make sure the image is landscape rather then portrait for one thing. Anyhoo... I hope you 3DS owners enjoy it. ^_^

So if you know me and my gaming habbits you'll know that I loves me some classic gaming. You know... way back in the Super Nintendo days. Well, I fond this one for the iPhone (or iTouch... what ever you have I guess) and I totally went bananas for it. It's a little bit Castlevania, little bit Mega Man... even a little bit Super Metroid. Best of all it's all pixel work, which I've been a fan of for years.

The controls aren't as tight as one might ask for, but I read on a forum that the dev is releasing a quick update to fix the issues. But they're not horrible by any stretch.

So yeah... check it out. I think it's pretty damn good and plus... I don't think I've seen anything else like this on the iThings.

It's another commission shout out! These commissions have been going very well thus far. I take on one at a time, we walk though the roughs, line work and painting together to make sure it comes out right and everyone's happy in the end. I hope they are anyway... ^_^

Hey everyone! Thought I'd jump back with a commission call since it's been a while (more on that later). Fist one to note me gets it!

But there is a new price unfortunately. The cost is now $40. Why more? Well, lots of people have made comments that my price was too cheap. Now while I didn't mind that it's a low price I was finding that the amount of time it was taking to get one picture done (what with revisions and all... sometimes a lot of them) vs the amount I was asking for ultimately wasn't working out. Plus the US and CAN exchange rate meant I was getting less money then I was asking. The other reason is that I have a dead tree in my back yard and it's going to cost about $500 bucks to take out so any thing I can do to help take out some of the cost of that is great.

So yeah... $40 bucks will get you a one person/furry/thing digital picture with a super simple background. Naughty or clean... your choice. I'll send you a high res version too so you can print it out.

I'm glad the world didn't end. That would have sucked.

So what did you do on your weekend? Me? I spent it all day on the couch playing video games on account that I just had a vasectomy on Friday. I think this is the first weekend since high school where I literally played games all day. I've been playing Twilight Princess (I know, I know...), Super Mario Wii, Street Fighter 4 3D and Angry Birds. Oh, I've been drawing a bit too.

So if anyone has any questions on vasectomies, just ask. I'm now an expert. ^_^
