Okay!, I apologize for taking the week off for the holidays (and yes, I do regret the time wasted...I don't know, family ...getting drunk....etcetc, it just doesnt feel like christmas.) enough of that though, I will be very busy the next couple of days as I prepare and clean out and declutter my work area/house/rooms to welcome the new year. (Gross)
Ah yes, the basic 'New Year, New Me' phrase is used once again! I will be hard at work an be working on art in the evenings while I "wind down" from the day's work. It's day 2 and there is still much to be done. It's amazing to see how much stuff builds up over the years.
Anyways, I wanted to keep this a quick update journal, and to give a heads up that I'm not gone, and have only just recently returned. Again, i dpo apologize for being so late on things.

Posted 10 years agoAlright, so recently I started to get back into building suits, thanks to the weather being a thousand times more awesome. This morning I woke up to frost in the grass...it's October in Florida, like....THIS DOESN'T USUALLY HAPPEN! so thus this makes me very happy!
Now relating to the journal title, I need help. I recently ordered some large cloven hooves from DVC. At the time they had them on their discounted page so I decided to snatch them up. In January at the end and beginning a February there is a Renaissance festival coming up and it's time for me to rebuild my Faun legs. This upcoming year was the goal to keep them much more cooler,lighter, and easier to clean. I figured out the blueprints...somewhat, However here comes the problem. I think these hooves may be a little too big. I still really like them and really want to use them still, so I'll probably end up going for something in a really cute style. Now the real problem here is...how do I attach the hooves to the shoe, or stilted base, If I make the stilts. What glue do I use? How does attach?
So, do any of you have plans for Halloween this year? Costumes? Fill me in with your plans, I havent talked to you guys in a while, sorry.

As I speak now (well type), My tablet is sitting on charge, I already have a couple things lined up, however I'll like to add more things to that list, nothing to go overboard of course. I am relieved that the weather has been cooling down a lot recently!, however some resin pouring has been pushed back even longer, True it has cooled down...but mostly because of the rain...damn humidity!
I'm thinking about doing some YCHs, any ideas on that?
Also, how have you guys been? I noticed I haven't really interacted much with my watchers lately. Tell me about something you guys did or rant about something. Any recent projects going on?

Posted 10 years agoTomorrow I'll be heading to Miami for a much needed vacation. I'll be gone for around 7-8 days, but hopefully the hurricane or storm whatever it is wont be too bad. Yay for heading into it...heh. Anyways, don't worry, i will be back and hopefully I'll be ready to start up on more things and getting caught up.

Internally screaming
Posted 10 years agoStuff has been crazy CRAZY hectic. Still in the process of moving and renovating my bedroom, swapped bedrooms with the guest room, was able to get a few furniture pieces (I can't thank you guys enough, you all rock!). There is still stuff that needs to be done however. Still organizing and sorting stuff out and need to get some more shelves,storage boxes, etc. Good thing everyone is having their "back to school" sales so dorm furniture is at it's low.
I know I still have stuff to get done commission wise and I just want to say I haven't forgotten about it one bit and they will defiantly be completed before I leave on the 29th for vacation!
I also still have an art box to finish and I may be able to sculpt some pieces for it this week and get things painted. Woot!
I'll also be pouring some resin fursuit eyes, 2in if anyone is interested let me know in a note, so far I have 6 pairs on the queue list.

Tablet is down
Posted 10 years agoCurrently my tablet's battery is down to a very low percentage while working earlier today. I do not have the tablet's original cable with me currently, however I may be able to bring a long enough charge with my cell phone charger. Commission work shall resume normally after I've reached enough of a charge to continue. I apologize for this inconvenience.

Posted 10 years agoHey guys, I am back now! Unfortunately my mini vacation wasn't that great, was sick the whole duration and slept like 90% of the time. :/
On my current to do list I have icons underway and in progress. I'm also putting together a bunch of stuff for an online yardsale, as well as putting together a few other things. I'm still open for commissions feel free to ask about those. I do plan on remodeling my bedroom a bit, which would be a HUGE project to take on myself. My current room feel cramped a...childish. I've defiantly grown up a bit over the years and would like my room to be more open, easier to move around and much more organized and clean.

I'll be in Georgia until Monday, currently visiting grandparents for the forth. I really thought I packed my laptop and tablet but after getting here and unpacking those two weren't in my backpack. Art Slave auction Canceled
Posted 10 years agoI'm sorry to say but I will be canceling my art slave auction. As much as I don't want to stop, I fear my schedule for the next few months may be a bit busy. It's very possible I may be starting a full time job thanks to my mother and my night time work will have to come to an end since my sleep schedule is far out of whack.

Traditional Painting Commissions
Posted 10 years agoI'm thinking about opening up for some traditional painting commissions, I just really like working with a fabric-y canvas and have been working on a custom CD case, and I also would like to include a matching CD style badge to go with it. I'll upload pics when I'm finished with the one I'm working on now.

In other news....job hunting is rather difficult. It's all about getting your foot in the door to get some sort of experience that can actually carry over for something else. It's just one big crazy loop. :/ Hopefully things go well the next week or so, my goal is to get a job within the next couple of months or so.

On another side note I've been able to actually work more on my fursuit building stuff...I kinda miss highschool already.

My headset died today…much sad. I’ll like to be able to replace them so for a “great” cause, I’ll be taking commissions and using the donations from those towards my “Matt needs a new headset fund”
Payments are to my paypal, Message me for it when you are ready, and I’ll share the info with you. Minimum donations are $1. (Aww snaps, Of course, It’ll be super awesome if you donate maybe a little more but it’s okay!) If you’ll just want to make a donation with no strings attached (anything below v, I will truly appreciate it and send you tons of internet hugs, because you’ll be a super awesome person u///v///u)

Character design contest!

Looking for a new character/fursona design.There will be a prize awarded to the winner of course in return for the design.I'm looking for a dragon in specific, or a reptilian related species. I would prefer it not to be an angel dragon. Something with a earthy...fauna feel to it...tuned in with nature. I'm allowing a lot of free reign on this!
*-nothing too small or thin, something strong and sturdy (I'm okay with slight chubs x3)
*-something that does't go overboard on color (rainbows,neon colors etc)
The deadline will be set to May 9th for now.
Feel free to submit as many designs as you would like. You're free to use a base, etc.
Prize:
-1 sketch page (around 3 sketches of your character of choice, softly/lightly colored or not)
-Note more info may be added on along with additional prizes etc.-

New badges
Posted 11 years agoI recently started on making some new badges, and they're very derpy! Once I finish m first batch I'll be uploading them and opening for commissions.
I've also began to work on custom plushies and Newt's tail, which so far has been my longest tail. It's fully fleece, but soft and squishy. I'm debating on adding a squeaker in the tail and would most likely get that done.
I have packages to send out next week. And I'm almost done with an art trade which was very fun to do. Overall this crogidile has been uber busy lately!

I haven't done any spooky/creepy art stuff recently, and I'm itching to do some.
Each drawing will include a creepy drawn character (your character), they may be disfigured,missing limbs,covered in blood, or spilling their organs, who knows!?! (Of course if you rather want your character without a 'spooky' twist, let me know first!, and I'll try and keep them cute and safe.)
RULES:
1. This is an art trade, not 'Free art for you', I do expect art in return.
2. Please don't be rude.
3. When you have been added to the queue list (I'll have this up on my Instagram, User: Crogidile, i'll post W.I.Ps there, and a sneak peak at the current queue list), Please be patient with me, the list goes first come first serve, if you are number 5 on the list, then you will be number 5 to be drawn, and so on...
4. Single characters only!, I will not draw couples.
HOW TO ENTER:
1. Send me a note with the subject 'TRICK OR TREAT' (If the subject is NOT 'TRICK OR TREAT', the note will NOT be read :( )
The note must contain
A. a character reference
B. favorite candy
C. a costume you want your character to wear (this is optional)
D. your favorite horror/Halloween themed movie, OR your favorite Halloween song
