It's my fault, honestly. I figured having 2-step verification might not be a bad idea. I've used it on other things, so I don't have to worry about it too much.

... Then my phone bricks, and now my Authenticator is useless.

"But hey! You can at least contact the admins about this, right?"

... The admins can't help you do shit. They have no access to 2FA authentication, so unless you wrote down those recovery codes that you get a limited amount of, you're basically locked out completely.

Now, I have a choice: ignore Weasyl, or make a new email account JUST SO I CAN MAKE A NEW WEASYL USER ACCOUNT. Not sure if it is worth it. I like Weasyl, but this is some level of bullshit I'm not willing to put up with today.

I think I'm still just pissed off my phone bricked on me. No way to access memory on it like this, and fuck me if I have a car right now (I'm sending my business elsewhere for how long it's been in the GOD DAMN SHOP! ) to go see if the cellular store can send it in recovery shit off it, if they even can at all ..

.. just lucky I have family nearby that still talks to me, so I can get a ride to buy groceries and run errands.

I have read their FAQ, but I had emailed them anyway to ask if there is a way to get it unlocked, but they have replied in the way I had expected.


Until I am certain I can't access my account again, I will be creating a new Weasyl account for posting. I"m sorry for the inconvenience for those watching me on Weasyl. I do not have the recovery codes necessary to bypass 2FA account protection, and since my last phone bricked on me, until I can get recover Google Authentication data on the phone itself (if that is even possible), it is pretty likely that I will have to move all my stuff over, and see about deleting that other account.

I "JUST" started testing out Patreon, mind you, and suddenly they decide that Patrons should be hit with fees. xD

Given, I'm not a big name there, but considering the kind of fall out that is happening NOW, I imagine I'll end up closing this thing down sooner than I had thought, if the platform ITSELF kills interest in a Patreon page before it even has a chance to grow. I know I'm an aloof person, and I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that in a journal at some point. (Fuck if I can remember.)

I am wondering, for the artists who dare reply:

What is the space you designate for work, like?


I'm kind of in a mood where I want to create, but some days.. I just have no energy to jump in.

I've tried a few things:

* Separating my work space from everything else
* Using a business, or area outside the house as a work space
* Podcasts
* Music
* YouTube background noise
* Twitch Streams

Some of these have worked (Listening to a story works pretty well, as long as I don't have to decode an author's writing, so sadly William Gibson is out), but I've had the habit of just binging on them, and it has pretty much warn out the Creepy Pasta/Horror Stories a little bit (besides, I don't know if I want to hear a story about children being tortured when trying to draw smut) ... so I'm kind of curious. It'd be neat if I made this a full-time job .. well, okay, I DOUBT I'll get to that point. But I wanna be a better artist, I think. As is always the goal of people who like/pursue art.

I'm thinking I might design some Daki's for people, but I wanna know what peeps wanna see on a Daki.

I'm currently going through and updating all my commission information.

I've decided to adjust prices, for all future commissions, also note that I'm adding building some guidelines to these commissions. Mainly, amount of pieces available per buyer.

As of now, I will be adopting an "art limit per buyer slot", meaning:


ALL SKETCHED/INKED/FULL COLOUR IMAGE WILL BE A 2 PICTURE MAX PER BUYER SLOT.
ALL PAINTINGS/COMICS/CHARACTER SHEETS WILL BE 1 PICTURE MAX PER BUYER SLOT.

YOU WILL BE ALLOWED ONLY ONE SLOT PER LISTING, SO YOU MAY NOT RESERVE MORE THAN ONE SLOT.

SKETCHES THRU FULL COLOURED IMAGES WILL BE CONSIDERED ONE CATEGORY,
AND SO YOU MAY RESERVE A SKETCHED PIECE AND A FULL COLOUR PIECE.

PAINTINGS THRU CHARACTER SHEETS WILL BE CONSIDERED ANOTHER CATEGORY.

Though I'm still thinking through these images, most of these guidelines are mainly to keep commission production times shorter (HOPEFULLY >____<), and I wanna make sure people get their turn in line without having one buyer commissioned 10 images in one go.

For new pricing, check the Commission Info tab at the top of the Profile. A proper price sheet will be uploaded in the future.

The answer to whether or not I will be coming back to open commission slots is .. complicated.

A friend of mine and I are working on a non-furry comic that is based in a fantasy atmosphere, and since they don't really much care for Furry-anything, I admit that there probably won't be a lot of me working with them to make any sort of anthro character that isn't either considered a monster or some type of weird fantasy creature. Suffice it to say, that means that while I'm working on this comic, I'll probably be keeping my furry work to a minimum. At least for now. Whenever there's a break and they're getting the next script drawn up and done, I'll probably be a bit more active.

I also have a full list of people waiting on me to get theirs done.

I will be creating an updated commission price list very soon, hopefully aimed at more reasonable prices per work/quality of work, but I don't like making things super expensive.

I'm not a popufur. xD My art is "alright", but it could always be better. I see a lot of artists younger than me doing way better work than I did at that age, and I recognize I need to keep up with that. There are plenty of good, older artists, too. But since I'm a lone guy working on these things, it's on me to make them the best pieces that I can, on my own.

Rest assured, I'm trying speed myself up a bit. I'm kind of slow with art, but that's more my own fighting perfectionism. Any artist who cares about their artwork will tell you that that can be a struggle.

Anyway, I hope you guys at least like what I have already, and will enjoy what I bring to the web in the future.

I'm also considering a sort of setting/story for my more "consistent" characters that I have created. We'll see if I ever get around to actually fleshing it out, but it's on my mind all the time, anyway.

Saw something on Tumblr about it (You've probably seen that "checklist comparison" image of it), and I'm curious if anyone has tried it and/or if it's as good as, or better than, Picarto.

I haven't had any issue with Picarto, honestly, so switching to Piczel isn't really necessary, but I am trying to get a feeling for what Piczel offers that the other service doesn't. I've noted that the "premium" account is cheaper, and free accounts get more features, but that doesn't mean that it will be able to support everyone. I've tried navigating their web page, and it feels like they need some refinement before it truly gets off the ground, but the number of streamers there is quite larger for being a new(er) service.
