I'll keep this one short to reduce confusion potential. I overhauled the old system of "ending soon" and replaced it with the following...

- After an extended period of time, sets will go on clearance.

Anyhoo, couple days ago I was chatting with a friend of mine. This friend is a minority immigrant, somewhat fractured/broken English, and we get along great. While chatting about this and that, I mentioned that stresses of life/world had been weighing me down with signs of depression.

- Basically, her reply to me having a bit of depression was basically "Wha... bad mood! No, bad mood is no way to live. Bad mood - bad luck - bad life. You choose to be happy. Happy mood happy life!

- So as an example of what bad luck really looked like, my friend pulled out a cellphone recording of race violence - in this case it was 3 black people standing around a white couple on a park bench with their two year old daughter on the mom's lap. Lead actors were the black woman and white woman having a discussion. Camera was behind the white woman (really have to question the identity of who was holding the camera), and from what I could tell the white woman was trying to de-escalate a discussion and the black woman was irate. Eventually the black woman grabbed the white woman by the hair, threw her to the ground causing her to drop her daughter, and then the black woman proceeded to wail on her and her black friends cheered on the assaulter. The camera man went over to record this. Sensational violence, the type where if you turn on social media you'll see hundreds of videos like this (both within riots and -as in this case- outside the riots).
- My friend then turned to me and said "see, this is bad luck! We don't have bad luck. We have good luck. Happy life."

Before I continue, I want to point out that the literal mindset is the lowest cognizant form of human thought. The ability for small children to read and understand what a sentence means as per definition of written world is considered a big step up from not being able to read at all. I don't care about you, you're worthless and abusing a social construct to make yourself feel important much in the same way a sexual predator makes victims feel powerless in order to maintain control. This journal/message is an outreach towards the moderates, not the extreme left.

The fact that this conversation happened, to me, indicates that a different message is being RECEIVED, rather than one of peace. Because of the ongoing violence that's being justified as "expression of the helpless" or "mostly peaceful" ... I honestly suspect that the mass populace is viewing message of peace as nothing more than ivory white smiling carnival mask over a snarling beast.

It's highly possible that several critics are simply refraining from speaking because they view the BLM chanters in much the same way as you'd view someone holding a revolver: a threat. I.e. "guess I better agree with them because I don't know which among their group is going to be a sane/calm person ... and which among their group is going to throw me to the ground while I'm holding my child ... or get me fired / ruin me life as part of the twitter rage mob."

And ultimately this ruins any efforts by honest members of the group.


So yeah, again - like I've said a thousand times before - if you want to convey a message of peace: speak out against the violent members of your sect. Actions speak louder than words, and burning cities speak a HELL of a lot louder than a fucking hashtag.

There is a stronger correlation of Corona Deaths in Red/Blue counties than there is in population density.

Blue counties (which typically have tighter lockdowns) are experiencing more deaths than red counties (which are experiencing lighter lockdowns). Big cities in Texas, for example, have not been hit as hard (generally very mildly, really).

Pair this with a total absence of the PREDICTED SECOND SPIKE among states that have reopened ...

Taking the above two points ... there's kinda 2 approaches of how you could analyze the data ...
Personally, I think it's a lot more arguable that the lockdown caused more direct corona deaths than it helped

My own hunch follows what I've heard with people who have been working in "essential businesses" ... the few businesses that are open are seeing more sales and traffic than they do during Black Friday ... which basically means you're funneling more people through to fewer locations. ... In other words, it's like finding out there's a poopie in the punch bowl, so you're keeping everyone safe by making people wait single file line for a single punch bowl. Don't change the fact that there's a poopie in the punch bowl.

Let alone the fact that if you keep people stressed out and cooped up inside - they'll trash their own immune system. People are afraid to go to the doctor because of THE CORONA, so now child immunizations, cancer diagnosis, diabetes checkups, and a whole host of other preventative visits are on the decline ... and that ain't good! Lower immune systems means more illness ... which ... hey, look that ties into my first point about how lockdowns are likely getting more people sick than they're keeping healthy.

Also, did you ever hear of quarantining the healthy before this pandemic?
I hadn't. You're supposed to quarantine the sick to protect the healthy.

First... reality check.

Q) Why is there an economic downturn?

A) It's because Dr Fauci and the rest of the esteemed medical professionals proposed this as a way to prevent more deaths ... in other words it was a treatment (cure) for the pandemic (disease)

You cannot possibly draw a more direct line of causation. "Medical professionals" whose opinions should not be questioned, praise the father/son/holyghost of science, gave the recommendation for the lockdown. Fauci, in a heartwrenching dramatic interview that people have quoted to me because it touched their little simple hearts, basically lamented he didn't lock down fast enough.

So if anyone says that the lockdown somehow ISN'T the fault of the doctors .. or if they try to pan the downturn on something besides the lockdown ... this is just a cover your ass lie so that they don't look like an idiot. Because appearances are more important than actions.


Anyhoo

The cure (lockdown) is likely to cause more deaths (through resultant economic downturn) than the disease (the pandemic).


That's it, really. When you take a medicine that's killing you faster than the disease - you stop taking the medicine.

ADDENDUM A

Remember how everyone said "HOLY SHIT, THOSE STATES THAT ARE GOING TO OPEN UP ARE JUST GOING TO KILL ALL THEIR CITIZENS!! THEY'RE GREEDY! THAT'S WHY!! AND I'M A SAINT BECAUSE I'M NOT GREEDY!!!"

Utah opened reasonably early. There hasn't been a significant upwards spike. And we're continuing to open up.
That trend is pretty consistent. The other states haven't seen a horrific upwards spike of cases.

So ... that basically means "the second spike" line of thought turned out to be bullshit.

The lack of a second spike after coming out of lockdown also calls into question the following: DID THE LOCKDOWN PREVENT ANYTHING? ... the line of thought's simple: if there's not a statistically significant pandemic spike after a state opens, then that means it's the same rate as during lockdown. If there's no change between lockdown and no-lockdown (a statistically significant measure, mind you) ... then the lockdown was useless.


ADDENDUM B

Go to google and type "60% death rate nursing home corona"
What you'll find is multiple articles across the nation where it states that nursing homes were hit the hardest from the pandemic. Usually spiking upwards of nursing home deaths accounting for 60% of the total deaths.

Now wait a second, nursing home patients weren't really going out to begin with, it's doubtful they were breaking quarantine.

so if that directive that required NY resting homes to take patients didn't exist, then that would take a drastic portion of Covid deaths out of the total.
Given that resting home deaths accounted for 60% of the total... you get the idea. The pandemic is not THAT deadly, the government is.

Over the course of extensive testing, the general findings are that 80% of those infected with the Wuhan-Corona virus are asymptomatic.

If 80% of people who have the virus are proving to be asymptomatic... what percentage of "corona deaths" are simply victims who were asymptomatic but tested positive for it.

for example, if a lifetime smoker were to go into the hospital because he was on his last legs he would be tested. Applying the above ratio, it's reasonable to assume that if he has the corona virus, there's an 80% chance he would have fallen into the asymptomatic camp ... had it not been for the fact that he was a lifetime smoker. However, since he had the corona virus, it would be reported as a corona death and not a lung cancer death.
