Posted 14 years agoAfter working the busiest four consecutive days I have ever had at the day care, my lower back is very pleased with me. So much, that it decided that I should stay home from a six hour kitchen lab today.
I love the beginning of debilitating hereditary back problems! Especially since it's all around my sacroiliac joint, so I have the joy of leg pain and cramping, too.

Posted 14 years agoHa ha, haven't been on here in forever. I've been lurking on and off for the last year, and just stopped coming on FA about four months ago.
Classes start next week, and as not paying attention in a classroom seems to be the best enviroment to actually inspire me to doodle, I might have more things. Also, it didn't help that working in a grocery store has been relatively soul-crushing, in a painfully slow, vice-like way. I put my two weeks in, btw, and this is my last week there.
Uh, haven't been keeping up here, but I got a second job back in March/April which makes me extra worn-out and grumpy from exhaustion, but the job is basically playing with dogs for six hours so that kinda makes it worthwhile. I got the second job in preparation to quit the first, but decided that extra money isn't a bad thing to have and tried keeping up with both. Now with school starting, and the frustration of being screamed at until I cry because I'm doing my job the way my bosses are telling me and not how entitled brats (aka adult customers who suck) want me to, it was easy to pick which job to quit.
Also, two weeks ago I adopted a dog. He is kinda older and isn't terribly exciting (his only two interests are sleeping and going outside for long walks), but he is a lap dog, well-behaved, and cuddly, so that makes me happy.
On a random note, after dealing with literally 500 different dogs over the last four months at my dog day care job (and that is probably a gross underestimate), if you think you gave your dog a unique name, you haven't. The name "Bailey" is the most common one we have. I can think of at least seven different dogs with the name "Bailey" off the top of my head. And most of them are labs or lab mixes, oddly. If there's a lab in my yard that I don't know, there's a ridiculously high chance that it's name is Bailey. This is not right. Stop naming your dogs Bailey.

Looking at jobs at pet stores because, well, I'd be rather pleased to work with animals, even if it is with some big corporation.
No drawings because, well, in all the chaos of looking for jobs and moving and such, I just haven't been in the mindset to do so. Perhaps in the next month or two I'll pick up again.

I'd say that's why I haven't been posting for awhile, but it's more of a depressive/hermit thing and I just don't have any motivation to draw.

Posted 15 years agoI had an interview today for a Glorified Dog Shit Cleaner today. (Well, kennel assistant, but that's basically what the job entails.)
I've been out of a job for about four months, since I moved to North Carolina, so having a source of income will be more than great. I'm feeling good vibes on this one.
Kinda busted up my toe the other day, so it's all nice and black and purple right now, lol. Important lesson: do not act like a six-year-old at playgrounds. Or, if you must, don't do it while wearing open-toed sandals.
Haven't been posting much because, frankly, I don't have much to post. To be honest, the more I work on stuff, the more I feel like a talentless hack who can't draw. :/ To have the gall to call myself an artist is an insult to the profession.
I'll eventually post stuff I've got and keep (sort of) working on my glorified doodles, but it's time to stop kidding myself.

Trying to make myself draw a lot more, as well as get a job. I'm not to the point of fast-food applications, and I'll be damned if I get that desperate.
I'd say that I'm open for commissions, but I don't have anything of a price list up. So, if you'd like to commission me, I can work out either a "Name Your Price" type deal or PM me with details for a price quote (I'd expect something in the $10 - $30 range for full-sized and colored works, depending on number of characters/complexity/etc).
I'm afraid I'll have to ask for a $5 minimum on the Name Your Price, especially if you'd like it mailed.
If this garners any interest, I'll write up a TOS at some point, but for the most part, don't be a dick and I'll be non-dicklike towards you too.

Started from Albuquerque Wednesday night after one last (and rockin') furmeet (WITH MANY TEARS AND HUGS OH GOD SO MUCH HUGS I NEARLY WAS CRUSHED) and made it to Milwaukee last night around 11 where me and the Chia were greeted by her boyfriend dressed in one of the most awesome pimp suits.
We went to Denny's. The waitress was scared and it was hilarious.

My WI BFF Chia will be coming down sometime during the week of the 23rd for a few days so I can show her the highlights of Albuquerque (AH HA HA) and then, we begin our road trip to the place deemed worse than Hell. Yay.
One of the first things I'd like to do upon moving is mutilate my face. I'm thinking with snakebites, as I've always liked them. Or possibly just a plain ol' tongue piercing. I don't know what exactly, but I want *something*, mang. FUCK YEAH, STICK THAT METAL IN MY FACE.
Oh yeah, and art.

Have a feeling that I'll probably just move back here in about a year or so, then move BACK to Wisconsin, then back here, then get pissed off by all the moving and run off to Australia so I can live among Coconut Crabs, Bearded Dragons, KANGAROOS and whatever the fuck else other random-ass animals that place has.

Least, that's what it looked like. It was so wedged in there, it took Dad about forty minutes to pry it out (in one piece) with a screwdriver.
In other news: I'm going to a Mad Scientist Luau tomorrow. Some sort of Medic cosplay attempt is mandatory. BLU and RED shall unite in the name of SCIENCE! and Luau. :V

Then I procrastinate art by sitting on social networking sites and taking retarded fucking quizzes all day and talking to people.
Then, by the time I'm done "catching up" with people I know, my friend Chesca comes online and we TF2 roleplay for like, six hours.
Then I go to bed and start over the next day.

PS: in our roleplay, we had creepy exNazi!Medic, who seriously gave me disturbing dreams the following night, which is saying something because I do not disturb easily. FUN TIMES

I've got, like, half of a degree, not really any money to speak, and no job/resume to speak of. THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME (note: not sarcasm, I'm actually excited for this).
So yeah, been going through my shit, and trying to, yanno. Get my shit together and whatnot. 22 is way too fuckin' old to be taken care of by parents.
o dear lawd, i'll actually have to work and put in some kinda effort inta sumthin holy fuck.
ANOTHER NOTE: I went to Albufurque Saturday, and met people and showed off my TF2 fanfaggotry by (somewhat) cosplaying as Scout an' drawing TF2 stuff in the Fur Central sketchbooks, and (I'm pretty sure) annoyed people with my OMGLOOKITI'MAFORCE-A-NATURE spazfucking. Man, I love the furs here.
Gonna miss ya guys, but I just gotta move back. I don't think I can quite explain why; just *feels* like something I gotta do, yanno?
