I need you all to listen closely. It’s very important to me that you understand what I’m about to say, so please read this carefully so that we’re all on the same page. 👂
I know that the global economy isn't as strong as many of us would like, especially in terms of the job market. Speaking from personal experience, I work two jobs to help pay the bills, in addition to producing organ cover music for you all. Contrary to what you might have heard, that doesn't pay as much as many assume. I also recognize that others would fight hard for the jobs I have, which makes things even more challenging for me, especially given the lack of available work since September 2024.
So, what’s my point here?
Let me clarify. I started the Jonny Music YouTube channel as a hobby, with no intention of making money from it. My goal was simply to entertain you with my organ covers.
However, I began to realize in 2017/2018 just how much attention my organ covers were receiving. This should be a positive sign that many of you genuinely enjoy my work, and I truly appreciate your support. 😊
Now, I need you to pay close attention. 👂
I have made it my lifelong mission to produce and grow the world's largest library of pipe organ covers and arrangements, with over 870 pieces and counting.
The challenge is that achieving this ambitious goal requires a sustainable income to keep me motivated to continue producing organ covers for years to come. A lot has changed in my personal life, and I need to make some adjustments to pursue this goal full-time. If I can't achieve that, the release of my organ covers may become less predictable and more sporadic.
Here’s where you all come in. While I truly appreciate everyone who shares my work, that alone isn’t enough anymore. I need as many of you as possible to support me financially so that I can focus on creating organ covers regularly and not have to rely on other jobs for financial stability.

Help me get back on stage! (Update: August 16, 2025)

As promised earlier, I will update you all on the progress of the wishlist fundraising campaign for the new practice digital organ I want to get ASAP, to be able to get back into in-real-life (IRL) live performances with it.
However, after I share the current progress below, I need to be real with you all, and I need you all to read/listen, please. So, let's get to it.
As of today, August 16th, 2025, only US$50 has been contributed since the last update. The previous amount mentioned was $150, which now makes the total funding contributions US$200 out of the US$15,000 goal. You can see the amount updated on the link here: https://buymeacoffee.com/jonnymusic/w/103
Now, I want to clear some things up and ensure we're all on the same page, so please continue to read/listen carefully.
After making that post last month, I've been thinking a lot about what I have been asking for and setting such an ambitious goal without giving it much thought.
Initially, truth be told, I found the US$50 contribution following last month's post to be abysmal, despite being an improvement over the sporadic funding to the wishlist goal since its inception in 2023.
I am aware that this sounds like I'm being entitled (I know I'm sounding like a broken record here, but I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH), though please hear me out before you misjudge me! What I genuinely hate the most, out of anything in the world, is for me to be misunderstood. So again, please read/listen carefully before misjudging me. While I'm fully aware that misunderstandings always happen and that they are out of my control, I wanted to inform you all in advance of this part of me moving forward. Got that? Good.
Next, I had the time to assess the situation in the past 4 weeks and look at it from different angles. My statement after mentioning the fundraising numbers last time: "We have to bridge the gap to avoid a personal loan and extra debt." was honestly coming from a place of genuine fear and despair that I would have to further sabotage my own personal finances just to get a costly niche musical instrument that I have set my eyes on since 2023, let alone face the harsh reality that I may not always be approved of extra debt to acquire the things that I want at a quicker pace with not much personal financial stability to show for it.
To clarify, I've been growing increasingly impatient with the delay in getting the instrument, which has hindered my ability to think critically about this ordeal, and not take into account earlier, how much I would be putting my own financial situation at a greater risk, all because of my desperate impatience to get back on stage to perform for you guys live. This impatience of mine could have further hindered my drive and focus to produce more organ covers in the long run, even if I know deep within that I want to perform live again one of these days (as I know many of you would appreciate that), as I used to years ago as a former church organist.
And I must be real with you all, in case many of you never took the time to look carefully, all of my organ covers NEVER involved using a real-life pipe organ, but rather on a computer with virtual pipe organ software with high-quality sampled recordings of actual pipe organs sequenced from the sheet music notation software I use to produce the organ covers you hear in the videos.
Even if I know how to actually play an organ (as you must've seen from my "Organ Music Videos" and "Hymns with Jonny" series), I frankly do not have the time nor the patience to literally perform every single one of my organ covers on an actual pipe organ, due to two key factors:
1. I'm on a life-long mission to produce and grow the world's largest pipe organ covers & arrangements library/collection, with over 850 of them made and counting, for over 10 years. I have no intention of ever quitting this, because I love what I do too much to quit it. Thus, time efficiency with music production is of the essence, with consistent quality checks on my end to guarantee quality results.
2. I DO NOT have RELIABLE and CONSISTENT access to a physical pipe/digital organ, AT ALL (primarily due to personal reasons)! This is the main factor as to why I have not been able to practice as often as I used to. Those pipe organs and digital organs that I have been playing on IRL in the "Organ Music Videos" and "Hymns with Jonny" series (as of today, August 16th, 2025) ARE NOT MINE! They never were! I made this very clear in the descriptions of my videos, so it's not my fault that some of you mistakenly assume I ever owned ANY of them.
With that said, I understand that many of you guys are not in a position to donate any amount to my wishlist regarding the practice organ I want, and I get it, I really do. If you're not in any position to donate, please help spread the word about my wishlist so we can make it possible for me to perform live again, whenever that happens (and it doesn't have to be at FE (Furnal Equinox) 2026, all things considered).
Even if we don't reach the deadline as listed in the wishlist, I won't hold it against you guys, as I'm at fault for not being honest and clear enough upfront (if I haven't already been) about this earlier. I am aware of the current worldwide economic situation at this time. However, it won't stop me from trying, as I remain 100% serious about obtaining the instrument mentioned in my wishlist, regardless of the time it takes or the need for additional personal debt (which is currently very unlikely for me to get anyway).

Now we need a clear plan to make that happen, and I need your help to bring it to life.
Since late 2023, I’ve had a wishlist on Buy Me a Coffee (BMC) to acquire a portable practice organ. This isn’t just for home practice, it’s so I can perform anywhere I can plug in to power.
My goal is an ambitious comeback live performing premiere at Furnal Equinox (FE) 2026, whose “Starbound Sabbatical” theme perfectly matches the pipe organ’s celestial tones.
Now you might wonder, "Why a furry convention?". Beyond the coincidental timing, the furry (and brony/MLP) community has embraced my work and creativity for many years.
I want to give back with a live recital that celebrates inclusivity, artistry, and the shared love of music.
Now for the numbers:
Total goal: US$15,000. Current donations: US$150. We have to bridge the gap to avoid a personal loan and extra debt.
On the BMC wishlist, you’ll find two ways to contribute:
- Fund the remaining wishlist amount directly
- Make a custom donation of any size

Summer Hiatus 2025 Update

First things first, I will be taking a much-needed hiatus starting now and continuing until July 19th. I plan to release more organ covers after the hiatus is over. However, with the summer season here in the Northern Hemisphere, don't be surprised if I need another break during the season.
In the meantime, do any of you want to see me perform live one day? If so, I have set up a fundraising wishlist for a practice organ to help me regain my performing skills and make live and virtual recitals and concerts happen.

Turned 30 today! 😃
General | Posted 9 months agoThat's right. Today's the day I had 30 trips around the sun and have now reached my 30s. So, if you want, you may wish me a happy 30th birthday. I look forward to the rest of my 30s, as I'm reframing it as "young", since the 30s is still considered young in many aspects, considering generally increasing life expectancy. 😊

Winter Holiday Break/Hiatus 2024/2025
General | Posted 11 months agoHi everyone. It's that time of year again—the Holiday Season.
Just wanted to inform all of you that as of today, until Jan. 5th in 2025, I will be going on my usual Winter Holiday Break/Hiatus. No organ covers will be released during this break, except my Hymns with Jonny music tracks, which will continue to be released as usual every Sunday at the early afternoon in North American ET.
However, there's a chance that I might still want to upload some other content like some commissioned art I might want to share (whether current or some past ones I forgot to share), and finally taking the time to photo dump the photos I took at some fur & pony cons, though we'll see how that goes.

Even though I will be going on a summer vacation hiatus, I have been planning to "dump" some overdue photos I took at some furry and brony conventions I went to that I meant to share earlier. Still, I was too overwhelmed with my organ cover work and other IRL responsibilities to do that sooner.
So, the point I'm making is that you should expect me to upload those photo dumps of my convention photos whenever I have spare time this month.

The name's Jonny (Jonny Musemiš (my fursona) is one of two mascots of my Jonny Music artist name brand). I'm an Organ Cover Artist producing organ covers of mainly pop culture music, including TV shows, movie soundtracks, and video game music for almost 10 years as of today.
The tools of the trade that I use are Finale, followed by the Garritan Classical Pipe Organs VST for about 6 years before I switched to the Hauptwerk VPO (Virtual Pipe Organ) software in mid-2020.
As a former church organist, I'm gradually getting back into live performing, though it's not easy and may take a considerable amount of time.
I've been into furry art for many years, though recently, I've realized I'm a fur myself since a few years ago (as I do recall some of my own "furry awakenings").
As of the time I posted this journal, I've been admitted into the Brony Musicians Database not too long ago. This journey in organ cover production started with music from the fourth generation of My Little Pony, MLP:FiM (My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic).
To conclude my intro, below is the link to my YouTube channel for your convenience. I may share my music covers in the gallery every now and then when I release a new organ cover.

I've been on FA for a long time with a private watching account, though I've finally taken the time to create a dedicated FA account with my own fursona that I can be open with regarding furry content. This account is also a way for me to share my journey in the furry fandom, including sharing some of my music work whenever I can.
