Announcements
General | Posted a month agoHello! I hope everyone is doing well. I just have a couple of quick announcements.
First is I've opened up a Ko-fi account. This is just for tips and not a subscription service or anything so don't worry about any of my drawings being locked behind a paywall. I have no intentions to ever charge money for my art, outside of commission of course.
I know times are tough for just about everyone right now, so there is absolutely no obligation to do anything. However, if you like my work and want to show your appreciation by sending a buck or two my way, I won't say no.
Of course, please only donate what you are able, and keep in mind that you won't be given a reward or a free drawing or anything like that for contributing. All you will receive is my thanks and the knowledge that you're helping me out in a little way.
Here is the link to the Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/joyvell It will also be posted on my main page.
The other thing I wanted to mention is I've created a link to a Google form what I will be using as a sort of suggestion box. Even though I have so many ideas I want to turn into drawings, sometimes the best ideas I get are ones suggested by other people. I can't guarantee that I'll actually ever get to anything that is suggested, but if there's something submitted that I really like, I just might make it a priority. Feel free to submit as many ideas as you want. And if you want to be credited as the one who suggested an idea, be sure to include your username.
If you already submitted an idea back when I ran my giveaway earlier this year, don't worry, I've still got all of those suggestions saved so there's no need to resubmit them.
I know the Year of the Horse is coming up in 2026, so I have a feeling I'll probably be making at least a few centaur drawings during that time. If there's a character you want to see as a centaur, now would be a good time to submit your idea.
Here's the link to the suggestion form: https://forms.gle/7ozqUSnXSbRx8yxK7 Just like with the Ko-fi link, this one will also be posted on the front of my page for easy access.
Alright, I think that should be everything. Thanks again for your continued support! <3

GIVEAWAY RESULTS!
General | Posted 6 months agoHello everyone, sorry for the delay. Last week when I posted the original announcement I forgot I was going to be at a gaming convention today so that messed things up a bit. But I’m here now and ready to announce the winner.
A few things first, though. I just want to quickly say thank you to everyone who participated in the giveaway and submitted a request. In the end I received 40 submissions across both Deviantart and Furaffinity which is just incredible, certainly a lot more than I was expecting. Every single suggestion was really fantastic and I really wish I could draw all of them, but this time at least, there can be only one, as they say.
Thank you so much for participating, and thank you all for believing that my terrible art is worth a follow/watch.
Just keep in mind, if your suggestion wasn’t picked today, please don’t take it personally, the selection process was totally random. First I created a list of everyone’s comments and numbered them 1-40. This list was not in any sort of order whatsoever, and everyone was listed randomly. Then, I used random.org to pick a number. After that, the randomly chosen number was matched to the corresponding number on the list.
I don’t want to make any promises but if your idea wasn’t picked today, there is still a chance that you might see it realized in some way or form at some point in the future. That’s all I’ll say about it now.
Anyway, on to what you’re really here for. The winner of the Poké-Monster Girl giveaway is: Somethingorwhatever from Furaffinity! Their suggestion was to see the Galar Mum as a Dracozolt satyr/taur. Congratulations!
Crappy video of the results: https://streamable.com/kpsp39
I have to say, I’m really surprised by how many submissions asked for Dracozolt. If I’m honest, Dracozolt is not a Pokémon I’ve every really thought about, so I’ve never really considered the monster girl potential it might have. That said, I’m really looking forward to bringing this suggestion to life, and I hope you’ll all check it out once it’s done.
Thank you again, and congrats again to Somethingorwhatever!

Transformation POV style?
General | Posted 9 months agoI'm writing a new tf story and I was wondering what people's overall preference on point of view style is for a story. Do you like 1st person (I transformed), 2nd person (You transformed), or 3rd person (He transformed).
Just curious how people feel. If there's a huge preference one way or another it might influence how I choose to write stories in the future.
Feel free to leave a comment or you can just vote in this poll I posted on DA: https://www.deviantart.com/joyvell/.....-story-8610318

On Dragons
General | Posted a year agoRecently I’ve been thinking about dragons a lot, probably thanks to a wonderful commission I recently got from thatweirdguyjosh. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out here, it’s really great: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/59094455/
I’ve been wanting to make a dragon related drawing or story or something for a while, but so far I haven’t been able to produce anything other than some terrible sketches and some half-baked story outlines. Well, this morning while laying in bed not wanting to get up, I found my mind wondering, and I came up with a few bizarre ideas related to dragon biology that seemed interesting at the time and so I quickly wrote them down before I forgot them. What I ended up writing isn’t enough for a story, but I kind of like it and since I don’t want it to go to waste, I thought I’d post it here in a journal. I might integrate it all into a story one day, but until then, enjoy these two little write ups about dragon egg laying, and why dragons have breasts. Bizarre, I know, but hey, it’s in line with my brand of weirdness.
Female dragons do not menstruate as a human female might. Instead, she will grow a clutch of eggs in her womb over the course of a month. The exact number of eggs varies, and it largely depends on the age and breed of dragon. Clutch sizes have been reported from as little as one, to as many as thirty. Broodmother type dragons especially are known to always have a massive clutch. Once all of the eggs are finished being produced, the female will carry them around inside her for up to a week. During this time, her belly may appear to be the equivalent of what you might expect a pregnant female human to look like just days before giving birth. Of course, the eggs inside her are completely unfertilized. Eventually, she will lay the eggs, and move on with her life, until the next month when the cycle begins again. These abandoned, unfertilized eggs, while prized by many, are not nearly as valuable as ones with an actual baby dragon inside.
If, however, a female dragon is mated during the peak of her egg development cycle, the eggs inside her womb will become fertilized. If this happens, the female dragon's material instincts will automatically kick in, and she will prepare a nest in which to lay, and then incubate her eggs. Once they are laid, she will stay with her eggs until they hatch, which can usually take around two to three months. During that time, the female dragon's body will actually keep producing new, unfertilized eggs, which she will often eat as a form of nourishment. You might think that her own unfertilized eggs might seem like a poor choice of meal for a hungry dragon, and you’d be correct. However, a nesting dragon will never leave her fertilized eggs unattended unless in the most of dire circumstances and as a result, she will be unable to hunt for fresh meat to eat until her spawn hatches. No matter how hungry she gets, or how much she loathes the taste of eggs, she will stay and guard her nest in much the same way a Treasure Dragon would protect its plunder hoard.
Despite still being a formidable dragon, there are many dangers she must be on the lookout for during this time, as the toll of constantly guarding her eggs, and her limited nutrition, puts her in a difficult position. Not only must she watch out for any that may wish to steal her eggs, such as oviraptors who wish to eat them, or humans who wish to sell them, but she must also be warry of any drakes that approach her during this time, looking to take advantage of her temporary weakened and vulnerable position. If she is mated and fertilized again while already caring for an unhatched clutch, that could cause significant issues, to say the least.
You may be wondering why female dragons have breasts? They might seem unnecessary at best, or even a hindrance at worst, and in both cases, you'd be correct. Dragons are reptiles, and as such, they do not produce milk, nor nurse their young. Additionally, the heavy weight of the breasts, and their position between a dragon's two front legs, will often times throw off a female dragon's center of balance, which can cause issues during movement, especially while flying. Then, why have them at all? Well, simply put, scientists still aren't completely sure. But they do have some theories.
Dragons, like all creatures, are the way they are due to the result of centuries of evolution. Therefore, we can surmise that large, omnipresent, human-like breasts must have given prehistoric female dragons some sort of evolutionary edge. Ever since the dawn of time, humans and dragons have been in conflict with one another, with dragons eating humans, and humans hunting and slaying them in return. It is theorized, that some female dragons in pre-history may have developed benign pockets of fat on their "chests" through random mutation that, just by coincidence, resembled human breasts. Scientists believe that human breasts look the way they do today partially thanks to them appearing sexually attractive to human males, and so, while crude, the same may apply to female dragons as well. Perhaps, while hunting dragons, prehistoric human males may have chosen to spare female dragons with "breasts” due to them seeming more attractive. Those surviving dragons would then go on to pass down their genes, further spreading the dragon breast mutation until today, where every female dragon has prominent, large breasts.
How they managed to also develop nipples on those breasts, despite not needing them since they don’t actually produce milk, is just as much of a mystery to scientists, but the same theory as before may also apply. No matter the time period, the tendency for human males to appreciate the appearance of breasts should never be underestimated.

Transformation stories.
General | Posted a year agoHey everyone,
First of all, I just I wanted to give you all a quick thank you for your support. I really appreciate it whenever you favorite one of my posts or leave a comment, and I especially appreciate everyone who's decided to give me a follow. I'm kind of sort of getting close to 400 followers so maybe when that happens, I'll do another monster girl vote or a free commission raffle or something. I guess we'll see if or when that happens. Thanks again!
A while ago I wrote a couple of transformation stories that I personally think are pretty ok. Since then, other than a few little paragraphs that I sometimes write alongside some of my monster girl drawings, I really haven't written anything else. I've certainly tried, but for one reason or another I never end up finishing the stories I start writing. I have a good number of unfished drafts just sitting around in various stages of completeness that sadly will likely never see the light of day.
With my recent Yukari horse transformation drawing however, I was suddenly inspired to write a little story to go along with it. Now, I completely acknowledge that story may not be the best, but it is at least complete and after so many failed starts, that's what's important. And, if nothing else, I had a good time writing it. That got me thinking about wanting to try and write transformation stories again, but this time, I want to base them on some of my already existing drawings.
Let me know in the comments here which, if any, of my drawings you'd like to see a story written about. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to get to all of them, but if there's a lot of support for one in two in particular, I'll see about giving those ones a go.

Voting Results
General | Posted a year agoHey everyone, I just wanted to give you all a quick update on the results of the monster girl poll I posted last week. The turn out was kind of small for this one but that's what I expected, so its not that big of deal. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote. Now, onto the results:
The winner with 57% of the votes is Lyra + Kris Girafarig taur. This is an idea I've had for a while and I actually attempted it once but it didn't come out quite how I imagined it, so it will be nice to give it another go now that I've slightly improved my drawing abilities. I'm not sure when this one will be ready, I still have to finish my Mermay drawing and there's another small TF drawing I want to work on, so once those are done this will definitely be my next monster girl drawing. Keep an eye for it sometime next month hopefully.
Then, a close second place with 52% of the votes is Flannery Magcargo snailgirl. This one receiving so many votes is pretty surprising but I'm happy to see it. After the Girafarig taur, this one will be next.
Finally, a lot of the choices actually tied for third so I'm going to pick one that I personally like. Lorelei Lapras taur came out of the gates strong at the beginning of the week receiving a lot of votes initially, and its one that I've seen a lot of interest for before so I'm going to do it third.
Also, I asked you guys to write down any ideas for monster girls you'd like to see my take on. There were definitely a lot of good suggestions, and so I'm going to add a few of the best ones to my list. If you suggested an idea and you don't see me mention it, please don't take it personally. All of the ideas where great, but some were either too similar to things I've already done, too difficult for my current drawing abilities, or not really in line with my own particular interests. I could still do them, especially if I run out of ideas, but for now I'm going to choose to focus on other concept.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who participated and thanks again for 300 watchers. If I manage to get to 400 maybe we'll do this again!

Thanks for 300 + another poll!
General | Posted a year agoHello everyone,
Recently I noticed that I passed 300 Watchers and I just wanted to give a quick thanks to all of you who decided my art is good enough to deserve a follow. I really apricate it!
I don’t have any big event or anything planned like how I did for 200, but I did have an idea for something small that might be a bit of fun at least.
If you’ve been on my page in the past few months, you’ve probably noticed the pinned journal entry there that has a list of monster girl concepts. Some of them are ideas I came up with, and others are ones some of you have suggested. I want to draw each and every one of them someday, but a lot of the time I’m struck with indecision on which one I want to do next, or I randomly come up with some other idea that’s not on the list and I do that instead. I feel bad about neglecting the list and so I want to do something about it!
Therefore, my idea is, I’m going to let you all decided which concept from my to-draw list is going to be my next monster girl drawing.
I’ll link the poll below and I’ll leave it up until about this time next week. In that time, feel free to vote for as many of the choices as you want. This is just for fun so I don’t really care about trying to keep it to just one vote per person or anything, but please don’t spam as that kind of defeats the purpose.
Right now, I’m working on my Mermay drawing and so far its on track to be done before the end of the month. However, I have a feeling that it probably won’t be done until the literal last day of the month so whatever wins this poll will have to wait until that drawing is done first. But I promise it will be my next monster girl drawing following that!
Anyway, here’s the link to the poll: https://forms.gle/Q3Pdc5Wk5d2uer6z8
Thanks again for your watch, and happy voting!

An update
General | Posted 2 years agoI had a feeling this was going to happen but sadly the Delia drawing won't be ready to post today and if I'm honest, I don't expect it to be ready anytime this week. I'd like it to be done by Friday, but I just can't picture that happening so my new goal is for it to be done by next Monday. I apologize for the delay.
My drawing process has always been slow, but with this particular drawing for some reason the line art took a lot longer to finish than I expected, and even now I'm still redrawing certain parts that I think need to be improved when I should be working on coloring and shading. Also, during this past week, I didn't have as much time to work on drawing as I usually do which definitely didn't help.
I do think the drawing is coming along nicely though and should end up looking pretty great once it's finally finished. I hope you'll think so too when you eventually get a chance to see it.

And the winner is...
General | Posted 2 years agoHello everyone one last time to the end of week results for the Build a (Poké)Monster Gril Event!
For the third week of voting, I ask you to decide which Pokémon you would like to see Delia's harpy form be inspired by. Well, after receiving 61 votes the winning bird has been decided. And that winner is...
Ho-oh! The mascot of Gold Version easily won with 27.9% of the vote. Coming in second was Articuno with 21.3% and third was Pidgeot with 14.8% The whole vote was really only a race between those three as nothing else really got enough votes to even come close. That is, except for Bombirdier which somehow managed to secure a respectable 9.8%. I was really not expecting Bombirdier to get any votes so for it to get so many is kind of shocking. Thinking about it though, I guess it does make sense as it's a stork and Delia is a mother. It could have worked thematically I suppose.
During weeks one and two, I expressed my surprise with the winning result as I didn't expect either of those choices to win. This week however, I am not surprised at all. As soon as I added Ho-oh to the list, I knew it would win.
(Is there a connection between Ash seeing Ho-oh on the first day of his journey and his mother's sudden harpy transformation? Maybe. I don't know but I think it's an interesting concept.)
Now, all that's left is to make the actual drawing. I've already started working on it, but it will probably take at least a week to finish. And that's just the base drawing. I want to make at least a couple variants so those will probably end up causing the whole thing to take a bit longer than a week. I'd like to have them all done and ready to post by next Monday, but I'm not sure if that's possible. They will at least be ready before the end of next week at least.
Thanks again so much to everyone who voted. This whole event turned out a lot better than I could have ever hoped and you all made it possible. With how well this turned out, I think I might revisit this concept sometime again in the future.

Reminder: Round three voting ends this Sunday!
General | Posted 2 years agoHello!
Just a quick reminder that voting for the third round of the Build a Monster Girl event ends on this Sunday, February 25that 11:59 EST. After that, the next day on Monday the 26th I'll announce the winner from this week. That announcement will probably be in a journal like this and not an actual post so keep an eye out for that.
Not too much to say about this week. Participation has been great as always so thank you to everyone who voted so far. In a similar way to the first week, there's one choice that has clearly been the favorite since voting began, but a few others have been putting up a significant fight so I wouldn't say the race is over yet, there could still be a surprise upset at the last minute.
I won't be posting the completed drawing this Monday so I'm sorry if you were expecting it then. I'll start working on it after voting for the final round ends. I'll be taking my time working on it as I want this drawing to be the best it can possibly be, so that means it will likely take me at least a week to finish it. If all goes well it will be ready by the following Monday, but if not, it will hopefully be out sometime that week at least. If there's going to be some significant delay for whatever reason, I'll let you know.
If you need the link for the voting page here it is: https://forms.gle/DYuGyW9ZVcAJsjgD6
Also, if you need a reminder on what's happening this week, here's the information page: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55604203/

Reminder: Round two voting ends this Sunday!
General | Posted 2 years agoHello!
Just a quick reminder that voting for the second round of the Build a Monster Girl event ends on this Sunday, February 18th at 11:59 EST. After that, the next day on Monday the 19th I'll announce the winner from this week and post a link to the next round where you will vote on what Pokémon species you want to be used as inspiration for the winning monster girl archetype.
Just like with last week, I just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who's voted so far. It's been pretty exciting this week watching the result come in as there really isn't a clear winner yet. At this point last week Delia was so far ahead of everyone else that there was no real chance of any other character catching her but this week has been different. It's a very tight race and there are a few choices in particular that are neck and neck. It seems like each day one choice will pull ahead of the others only to be passed up by a different one within a few hours. If I'm honest, at the beginning of the week I believed that there was one choice on the list that would be incredibly popular and would win without much of a challenge but so far that hasn't really been the case. I'm kind of glad to say that I was wrong about that as this close race is much more exciting than one where the winner is decided in a landslide.
If you still haven't voted yet here's the link to do so: https://forms.gle/umqVhEkt2ZcxUAcBA
Remember, if you've already voted please don't vote again! I'd like it to be one vote per person.
And, if you're reading this and have no idea what I'm talking about, here's the link to the original post so you can get caught up: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55515882/

I just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who's voted so far. As of right now there's over 60 responses which is fantastic! It's a lot more than I honestly expected to see. While it's still too early to declare a winner, I can at least say that as of right now, unless something drastically changes, there's one single character who is far ahead of the rest of the pack in terms of overall votes and its one I didn't really ever expect to win when up against so many other fan favorites, but I'm all for it!

Happy New Year and Thanks for 200 Watchers!
General | Posted 2 years agoHappy New Year everyone!
2023 was a pretty good year for me when it came to drawing art and I'm looking forward to improving and drawing more transformations and monster girls in 2024. I'm probably going to take most of January off from posting anything new but I'd like to make a drawing to celebrate the Year of the Dragon so look forward to that towards the beginning of February most likely.
Also, I'd like to say thanks to everyone who follows me as I just recently passed 200 watchers! I have an idea for a way to celebrate the occasion and to allow all of my watchers to participate in the creation of a Pokémon monster girl drawing. I still have some things to work out regarding that but I'll let you know more about it soon.
Thanks for a great year and here's to an even better 2024!

On Commissions
General | Posted 2 years agoOver the past year since I've started posting mosnter girl and tf drawings, I've had numerous people on this site and others ask me if I offer commissions and the answer I gave was always the same: unfortunately, no.
With that in mind, some of you might be surprised to learn that my most recent drawing was commissioned.
Before you ask, no, I am not suddenly opening up commissions. Well, not right now at least. I've definitely thought about offering them a lot recently but I wasn't sure how it would go. I didn't know how well I would do taking directions on what to draw from someone else as opposed to drawing whatever I wanted.
Plus, I think I have a slight case of imposter syndrome and often times I don't even believe that my drawings are good enough to even be worth actual money.
So, with all of that in mind I took on one commission from a friend as kind of a trial run to see how working on a commission would be. And, I'm happy to say that I think it went pretty well. Therefore, I'm thinking about opening up limited commissions sometime in the new year. I'll probably only be able to handle at most about three commissions at a time and they would have to be limited to one drawing per person. Also, the scope of what I can offer would have to be limited at first too.
I'll probably only allow for people to commission single character, pin-up style drawings of monster girls. So that means no full transformation sequences or drawings with multiple characters or anything like that. Of course, there would also be a limit on the types of subjects I'd be willing to draw but those restrictions will all be outlined in any sort of official commission announcement that I make.
Assuming there's any actual interest in what I have to offer and if I start to feel more confident in my drawing abilities then over time then I might begin to allow for larger, more complex commissions. We'll have to see though.
Until then, if you're interested in commissions, keep your eyes open here as I will make a post if and when they are open.

Monster Girl Upcoming Drawings List
General | Posted 2 years agoFirst of all I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for supporting my art, I really appreciate it!
Over the past year I've come up with and been suggested a lot of great ideas for monster girl drawings. Unfortunately I really haven't been able to get to all of them, but I really want to! So, to help keep me focused I've created a list of all of the ideas I have for monster girl drawings I want to make. Except for the first few, they aren't in really any order and depending on how I feel I may push some back or move some up. If there's an idea on this list you'd really like to see, let me know and I might move it up! Also, if there's an idea you have that isn't here, let me know about it and I just might add it on!

Monster Girl Poll Closed + Winner Announcement!
General | Posted 2 years agoI just wanted to send out a quick thanks to everyone who voted in the poll I posted a few weeks ago to decide which Pokémon character I should draw as a Monster Girl next. It definitely helped me to gauge which characters are popular and which aren't as much.
After combining the results of the poll I posted here with the results of the one I had on my Pixiv, I'm happy to announce the winner is Roxie with a total of 19 votes! I've already started drawing her so hopefully she'll be finished by next week.
The runner up in the rankings was Lucy with a total of 16 votes. Normally after posting the next drawing I'd make another poll asking who I should draw next, but based on the support shown for Lucy, it's convinced me to just go ahead and start on her next. I don't have a time frame for when that drawing will be done, but hopefully I'll have it out before the end of next month. (I'm sorry for drawing so slowly haha, I just have some much else in my life going on that unfortunately takes priority over this a lot of the time.)
Also, I noticed I passed 100 Watchers recently so I wanted to just quickly say thank you, and that I appreciate everyone for their watch! I don't have any plans to celebrate the occasion or anything, maybe at 200 I'll do a giveaway or something. We'll just have to see. Thanks again!

Vote for the next PokéMonster Girl!
General | Posted 2 years agoNow that my drawing of Centaur Elesa is finished, I've already begun to think about which Pokémon character I'd like to draw as a monster girl next. I have a bunch of ideas, but I can't really decide on which one I should do. So, I thought it would be a good idea to create a little poll and let the people decide.
You can find the poll here: https://strawpoll.com/GeZAO1ajjnV
Feel free to vote for any of the suggestions I've made, or if you don't like any of them, write your idea as a comment either here or on the poll itself. If its an idea that I really like, I'll add it as an option on the next poll!
I'm going to let this run for a couple of weeks and then at the end of that time, I'll tally up the votes along with another poll I have running on my Pixiv in order to decide on the winner. Then, with any luck at all I'll be able to have the new drawing featuring the winning monster girl done before the end of August.
