There’s a lot to process on my end right now, but to make things short, contrary to what I said about my grandfather in my previous journal, he’s not doing too well lately. He has declined, and it’s now a real possibility that he’s reaching the end of his time with us.

It’s something I’ve kinda expected for a while now, so... I think I’m mostly ready for the inevitable, and I don’t want to see him be in any discomfort, we’ll just have to see what happens in the coming weeks, or even days.

Hi everyone, been another short while since I posted a journal here. Time I bumped away my old birthday journal, heh. Hope you all are still staying safe during these trying times. Three things to point out here... so... here we go:

For the last few months here at home, my grandparents each got sick, my grandmother, and grandfather, one after the other, and they both had to be hospitalized and they both had some major surgeries done. To make a long story short, despite all odds against them, they both recovered from their ailments at the time. But, earlier this month, my grandfather suffered a major fall, leading to a hip contusion. He's still recovering from that, but we had a massive scare a few days after his fall. Due to a mix of pain medication and him missing a round of dialysis... led to him becoming delusional and combative, which was really scary to see. Traumatizing, actually. We ultimately had to send him back to the hospital for another few days, which he had his dialysis there, and... to the astonishment of many, that pretty much brought him back to earth, mentally. He's been mentally fine ever since then, but he still has a long way to go with his hip, and we have extra help here at home as well, which is quite nice.

So... in addition to that, soon I'll be resuming school, as well as possibly becoming a tutor to someone I helped two years ago, as well as his younger brother. We'll see how that goes, huh?

And finally... as you have seen, I've been getting images done, most of which are kind of centering around a certain theme... I've come to notice. >//> Still some more in the works, as a head's up, but I don't think many of you mind, heh.

It still boggles my mind that I’ve reached this already, and in merely one more year... I’ll be leaving the 20s behind.

Not much is planned, due to current events, so I’ll be staying at home and perhaps order takeout tomorrow.

So, as the title suggests, the month of May is here once more, meaning that “MayTernity” too is kicking off, and I’ll be changing my icon to one more fitting for the occasion. >w>

And second, my birthday too is coming up soon, on the 12th. I’ll be entering the final year of my 20’s, which is still crazy to think about. 10 years ago I was a mere teenager just discovering this fandom, and I’m still here 10 years later. owe;

Well... we have reached the end of the cultural decade, and the 2020’s are upon us.

This past year personally was one of my better ones, went on a few trips, went back to school and did well, though I had to leave my first job and I got into my first major car wreck. ^^;


Here’s to hoping 2020 will be an even better year, and that the 2020s in general will be hopeful for everyone.

Also, still slowly getting better from what happened to me last week. For an update, heh.

Got into an accident a few hours ago. Someone’s brakes failed and they rear-ended me, and it caused a domino effect and caused me to hit the car in front of me, and they hit the car in front of them too. 4 cars total. We’re all okay and covered, at least.

Going to the ER right now, just to make sure I don’t have any unknown injuries.

Been a little while since I did one of these, so it be time again!

First off, thanks again for the warm reception regarding my new character Torfrid. You’ll see her more in the future, along with the rest of my cast. ^^ It might be a little while though, for a few reasons.

The main reason is that during the last several months, the therapy company my Mom and her friend set up went south. Way south. The short version is... due to a lack of communication and slander, my Mom and I abandoned ship. We’re no longer with said therapy company, but at least my Mom found a new job, and has other promising prospects out of state, which I kinda hope will be the route she takes eventually. So with that, my ability to get art will be even more scarce for a bit, maybe. We’ll have to see.

The second reason... is that if classes at my school have any open seats for students next month, I’ll officially be taking classes to obtain my GIS Certificate. It’s a long shot though since I need to head down to class on the first day, and hope that some people don’t show up. If luck is on my side... I’ll be extra-scarce from Mondays to Thursdays. If that doesn’t happen... I need to consider other routes, and soon.

So that’s what’s going on over here on my end. Hope you all are doing well yourselves.

This past day I enjoyed a very nice dinner down in Beverly Hills, followed by a trip to the beach. And this coming day, we might do some cake, as well as another possible dinner to celebrate both my birthday and Mother's Day. X3

So, here's to hoping my coming year will be on the up-side, and a Happy Mother's Day to everyone as well.

Still is in fact. I’ll (hopefully) be going back to school in the fall, which will open many doors for me, which I greatly look forward to as well. ^^

Well! It's been quite a while since I've done one of these update journals, so, figured I'd take care of that heh.

So, how have I been as of late? Well if I'm being honest, I've been decent, but I've also been better. Things here at home are currently stressful, mainly because of family health issues and my lack of a full-time job. It's been two years since I graduated from university, and while people have given me chances for employment, so far things have fallen through for me. It can get kinda discouraging when denied opportunities, but... I'm not giving up. I also mentioned trying out trucking last year, but I found the hard way that it wasn't for me. I didn't enjoy trucking school, to the point that I was losing my sanity and getting physically sick, so... nope. >.>; Right now I'm working part-time for my Mom and her friend's therapy company, helping out with important paperwork and billing, so there's that. ^^ Kinda allows me to get some more art on the side. I'm also considering a certificate in GIS, which would certainly help open up even more career opportunities.

Some of you might notice a small change to my profile page, mainly... the people I've come to know within the fandom. After consideration, I've decided to delete it. There's still plenty of people that I'm on real good terms with here and I'm happy to consider them friends, but after recent events over the past year, I've come to question whom I'm still undoubtedly friends with. So, if the section's deletion alarms you, don't worry. It doesn't mean that I've cut all of you off. ^^;

Well, that's all I have to share for now. I hope things have been going well for all of you as well, and that we finish the final third of 2018 strongly.
