Finally got some rest. Since starting hormones I've been having extremely vivid dreams. It's amazing most of the time. When I wake up I'm overwhelmed that it wasn't real. The last 4 days though I've had trouble staying asleep. Only managing a few hours of rest each night. I've been useless. And all through the holidays I was just crap at life too. The holidays just bum me out so much. It's hard to even get out of bed. Depression is not good. What little family I have doesn't invite me to anything anymore. Cuz I'm trans I guess. And atheist. :/ I don't know. Hard to say. I'm so glad it's over though. Seeing everyone hanging with family and friends. Talking about good times really gets to me. I tried to stay off the internet but it's impossible. I got some work done but not nearly enough. So back to it and hopefully I'll have some new work posted soon and more often.

I don't talk about this very often but I thought I'd start. Maybe someone can relate and feel included even if it's kind of just me rambling on about things I've noticed since finding the courage to transition. I've been on hormone replacement therapy for a little over 3 months. Had a doctor's appointment today to get blood drawn and will most likely have an updated prescription in a few days. Over the last 3 months my skin has softened quite a bit. It's awesome and strange. Something I didn't expect was how much more sensitive my sense of touch would get. Especially regarding other soft things. My dog is super soft now. My skin gets irritated a bit easier too. My sense of smell seems to be heightened. I smell everything! The minute differences in color are supposed to become more apperant from hrt but I'm studying color for painting so I don't know if it's the work I put in or biological changes. Or even a combination of both. Emotional changes have been fairly significant. Cute rage is overwhelming at times. All I want to do is hug cute things. My poor dog. She gets so many hugs. Sad stuff is more sad. Happy stuff is more happy. Depression, anger, and frustration are at all time low. Anxiety not so much. I've become aware of a more acute monthly emotional cycle. Oh and nothing like working out regularly and watching my caloric intake just to end up weighing more than my last doctor's visit. My face is rounder and softer a bit though. I'd post pics but I'm not comfortable with that yet. No where near where I'd like to be. Lots of time still for hormones to do their good work though. Transition takes 3 to 5 years for major changes to occur and fully develop. With further feminization settling in for the rest of my life.

I spent the night in quiet solitude. With the exception of my adorable doggie. Worked on a personal art project for a while and did some commission work. And that was it pretty much.

Just a notice that my prices are going up a bit in January. Not quite sure the exact numbers yet. I'm going to post a new price sheet when I have it ready.
I'm going to retire the flat color and two color options as well. I prefer to do full color pics because they look the best and showcase my work better. If you're interested in these options though now is the time to get them.

Awesome technique for creating engaging shapes in a compostion if anyone is interested.
It can be used to reverse engineer and reveal compostional techniques and strategies in other artist's paintings. Very useful for deciphering composition in masterworks. Very interesting.
