A Beautiful Birthday in the Neighboorhood
Posted 10 years agoI don't always do this, but some people just deserve to be mentioned, especially on their birthdays.
On this first day of Spring, even though its cold and snowing for us, lets remember that the world is still a beautiful place, even with its flaws and hardships. That no matter what, there's a person in this world who will love you. And that one man tried to teach an entire generation of children that, among other things, with sincerity and humility.
So I'd like to wish a happy birthday to the late, great Mr. Fred McFeely Rogers, who would look at the snow and still tell us it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

I should really change that. So I am!
Now that I have slightly more cash coming in, I'm looking to get some commissions done for my fursona. I don't have many, and I'd really like a good reference sheet at least. So if anyone sees this and has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated!

Posted 13 years agoAnyone who read my previous journal knows my stance on Valentine's Day. Anyone who doesn't, here's a refresher course:
I. Hate. Valentine's Day.
Especially how commercialized it's become, how it seems to be the only day of the year anyone gives a shit about love...And I especially hate Cupid. Both the commercialized bitch in diapers and the rat bastard of a god.
So instead I wish you all a happy Candy Sale Day tomorrow. Get as much as you can. That and Easter are your last chances for cheap candy until Halloween!

...Actually, it's not. I just need a moment to vent. Now that the holidays are over I'm looking back once again and finding my favorite holiday once again losing more of my interest. When I was younger, Christmas to me meant wanting to spend time with your family and sharing the holiday spirit with the ones you love. (Sorry Jesus, don't mean to steal your thunder) However, Christmas has met the same thing for me every year: disappointment. It's getting to the point where I don't even want to go home during the holidays because I'm sick of listening to my family yelling. Civility is becoming a myth on this holiday and it doesn't even stop when guests come over. Too often do I hear someone crying on a day that's supposed to be happy and I'm getting tired of being the one who has to try and keep the cheer up...it's not worth being the idiot with fake smile anymore...
+sighs+ At least it's over for now...just another 11 months til the next one...

vigil_dante for getting me my Christmas present! (I love him for many more reasons, but that's not what this journal is about, hehehe ^_^)
In my way to class to day, I stopped by the mail room to pick up two packages and what should I find in one of them? The new Kindle Fire! (the other had commissions in them, which can be seen here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/6906959 and here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/6906790)
I haven't tried it yet, because I'm still trying to get permission from the guy who sent it to let me use it before Christmas. -_-# HOWEVER! Once I do, I will happily give a full report on my thoughts, likes, dislikes, and critiques on it.

I'm an Easter Wolf, but...
Posted 14 years agoI hate feeling like I'm just a stock character half the time. Sometimes while I'm looking at stuff on this site, anything that satires furry drama seems to target the stock animals, as in the ones used most often, i.e. tigers, foxes,...wolves. Even in the Therian community, which a lot of you probably don't know about (great, now I'm turning into a hipster too XD), I sometimes feel that I'm just a stock character, that I'm a wolf on a cop out. I do actually feel that I'm a wolf in someway, but sometimes I feel something different, and it makes me wonder...am I just another cookie-cutter person? Someone formed from a generic mold?
I feel like a wolf, but not by choice. The choice I made was to make my fursona a wolf. You're main fursona is supposed to represent who you are or want to be, right? Well mine represents both.

A general warning.
Posted 15 years agoHello everyone. I wanted to put this general warning out there for everyone to know so that maybe you won't do this too...
Earlier to do, I found out what remote assistance is. To anyone who doesn't know, it allows another user to control your computer from another location. It's also a usable option on MSN Messenger. I made the mistake of using this and inadvertantly allowed hacker onto my computer. He wiped a couple of things, but he didn't touch this site, so anything here is fine.
Everyone please be advised: NEVER use remote assisstance without being in the same room as the person using it. In fact, don't EVER use it. It's not worth it.
