Here's my HOWTO for getting Clip Studio Paint working on Linux. I'm using Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon.

UPDATE: this unfortunately doesn't (yet) work very well for CSP 3.0+, as it uses Edge's web component to render things, especially in Clip Studio launcher, and so makes some operations otherwise impossible. This means downloading assets from the material store or your account doesn't work yet. Try CSP 2.0+ instead.

First, make sure your tablet is working the way you want it to in Linux natively. I recommend installing Krita and confirming you have the pressure sensitivity and/or tilt support etc you desire. I have an XP-Pen Innovator 16 and had to install the native XP-Pen drivers to get it to work myself. Your mileage may vary.

* Install Bottles with whatever software manager you prefer. I used Mint's Software Manager to get Bottles from Flathub, but you do what you gotta do.
* Open Bottles, open the hamburger menu at the top and go to Bottle's preferences, go to the Runners tab and install the latest version of kron4ek. Mine was 10.0
* Make a new bottle and call it csp, optimize it for Gaming, and choose the kron4ek runner.
* Once it's made and it's installed the bare necessities into the bottle, add more dependencies to your bottle. I ended up with
d3dx9, d3dcompiler_43, d3dcompiler_47, msls31, mono, gecko, arial32, times32, courie32 already preinstalled, but had to add:
webview2 and then filter by font and install andale32, arialb32, comic32, georgi32, impact32, tahoma32, trebuc32, verdan32, webdin32, allfonts, consolas, lucon
* go to your bottle settings
*** Change Windows Version be Windows 8.1
*** Turn on Automatic Snapshots (or don't, your choice, I'm not your parent)
* Go back to the bottle and click Run Executable, and pick your CSP installer from wherever it is in your home directory (mine was in ~/downloads).
* oh noh! It's a Windows window! It’s the CSP installer, so follow the instructions and let CSP finish installing.

* When the installer is done, Bottles should detect CLIPStudio, this is the Clip Launcher - click it to run it!
* If Clip is annoyed about Edge not being around, check the box and ignore it forever, it'll be fine.
* Let Clip install the default materials, and if you want, let it download the 2GB of extra materials, plus anything materials from your account.
* In the bottle page in Bottles, from the kebab menu at the top choose Search for New Programs, and maybe it'll find ClipStudioPaint.
* If not, add a shortcut and browse to drive_c/Program Files/CELSYS/CLIP STUDIO 1.5/CLIP STUDIO PAINT/CLIPStudioPaint.exe
* Run ClipStudioPaint. It might complain about something being out of date again, feel free to ignore it, it's probably complaining about Edge not being around.
* CSP will probably ask you to start a trial - just click EX or PRO for now - let's make sure it's all working right before you bother logging in with your CELSYS account or whatever.
* CSP should detect you have a tablet, and ask you to tweak your pressure curve. Ignore it for now, and go to File > Preferences > Tablet and turn on "Use mouse mode in tablet driver settings" - you should now have pen pressure!

Now you're free to set up CSP however you like! close the app, open it again, log in with your CELSYS account to get your full version working.

Also check out the Preferences > Performance tab. Consider moving the swap to somewhere on your fastest disk (you'll have to set up a drive for it in Bottles), maybe add more undo levels if that's your thing, and maybe make sure it's using VulkanDNN-YourGPUHere for processing unit.

Thanks to Zolfarius for telling me how they got CSP working on their machines, it gave me the leads (specifically kron4ek) that I needed to get it working :D

So how I got hacked:

It was a confidence trick: a friend of a friend dm'd me a zip containing a game he wanted me to test. I downloaded it, unzipped it, waited for antivirus to squak, it didn't, so ran it and immediately my discord client closed and a scary terminal screen flashed up with debug info, and I saw words like “credit card” - at this point I was hacked.

Logging back in as quick as I could was fruitless, or maybe even part of the attack - the client was compromised, as I would later try logging in with my bot testing alt account and it was immediately sac'd to the hacker gods

I blocked my credit card, and immediately reached out to discord support. I got through level 1 support and was stuck waiting for a specialist overnight.

In the mean time, the hacker started banning ppl from my discord who spoke up about my account being compromised (I tweeted and telegrammed my pals) and even deleted some channels that had our best stuff in. Because they knew the jig was up, they renamed my account and replaced the profile images and bio. They threatened people in my discord.

Turns out my discord account is grandfathered into cheap nitro prices, and a discord account like that is worth $600 USD on the black market

The program I was sent and ran basically injects some script into the discord app, quickly changing your email to an attackers email address, and then they use the forget password system to bypass 2FA.

They also steal the password vaults from your browsers and windows (inc wifi passwords), take screenshots of your monitors and send it all to a server running in the cloud, along with ping some discord server that they should check their mail.

I blew away my computer that night and reinstalled everything. It's going fine now :)

A whole lot of infursec friends are reverse engineering the app I ran and are filing lots of stuff to shut the scam down. It’s apparently a very amateur attack, weaponized and sold to kids who want to score money on the black market.

Turns out, only 4 anti virus packages available to the public could even detect it, and apparent Windows Defender is one of them, but my computer didn't pick this one up.

Everything for me is back to normal, for now. I had good backups of nearly everything I needed, just some save games and peripheral configuration lost.

Would you use a service that could migrate and sync your pics/animations/writing/audio between different sites for you? Like take all your FurAffinity content and put it on DeviantArt, Weasyl or FLO, and others, and vice versa?

I, Juniper Skunktaur, want to make an open-source tool that would let you sync your content and its metadata to and from sites like FurAffinity, DeviantArt, Weasyl, FurryLifeOnline, InkBunny and many others. It would also be a website you could use at free or paid tiers! And we'd probably collect said paid support through something like Patreon.

It would also provide improved management of content compared to some sites, especially with tagging, automate uploading, automatically adding links to the same piece on different sites, and using the highest quality image file you wish to provide the tool.

With such a strange fursona as Juniper, people all the time be asking me: "why?"

Juniper is a skunk because my first furry crush was back in the 90s: Sabrina the Skunk, from Eric Schwartz's harem of cuties.

Skunks are cute, friendly, misunderstood, and not afraid to stand up for what they need. Black and white markings are striking and stand out, especially over all those multi-colored folfs and other furries. Also that big fluffy tail that's larger than life!

Juniper's cute and friendly, so I made his markings kinda cartoony around the chest and face. I saw a skunk character with speckles on her upper legs (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6457387/) and thought that was super cute, so I gave Juniper speckles/freckles around the joints. Most of the speckles were Birdmom's wisdom in placement (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/31816906/) :D

He's a taur because I saw a version of Sabrina as a skunktaur very early on in my time in the fandom - the idea of being an animal taur was exciting, as centaurs are great, but not as cool as being being fully non-human and having a feral barrel and an anthro torso. I really, really like taurs, and wouldn't mind being a taur. I think the problems and experiences of being a taur would be interesting and fun to live through. As weird as that sounds. Being in a new awkward body sounds weirdly fun. Call it being a kid through the 80s and 90s and falling in love with the transformation trope. To TF would be amazing.

He's also a taur and has four arms because I've always wanted to be more than just plain human or plain anthro. Being a mutant, conjoined, two heads or just being human and having more limbs would be neat, but Juniper's furry, and I didn't want too many weird changes, so I kept his extras simple.

And the arms and skunk tail are perfect for hugs. Taurs have two bellies, and Juniper's bellies are especially fluffy :)

The 'super-power' of the skunk spray is meh, i'm not here for the smell play. I did give Juniper two smells, regular offensive skunk mace and a fragrant strawberry-kiwifruit scent, but they rarely come up.

He's emotive and huggy, and loving, because I want him to be everything I want to be but often can't be in real life. He's confident and outgoing, but not seeking the limelight, and still introverted, but overcoming it by choice. His default mode is out there helping others.

In his canon, one-third the world has become a furry anthro or taur involuntarily, and he's out helping people come to terms with their new bodies, forming community and helping those through the pain and rejection and resisting the new-racism from jerk-wad humans.

Addendum: It's come to my attention again that there were some very cool four-armed skunktaur pictures of Sabrina that went around when I was much younger. I guess I forgot they existed, but I recall seeing these in the past. My subconscious most definitely owes a debt of gratitude to those pictures for helping create Juniper.

* Adventure, exploration or general, generic roleplay in fantasy, present day or futuristic settings that explores interesting questions.
* Transformation in general, by any means. Juniper is not usually a shapeshifter, but could assume the role of a limb shifter, especially a naga-esque skunk infinity-tail. For hugs, naturally.
* Taurs!
* Multi aspects: multiple arms, legs, heads, bodies, etc.
* Cloning, merging, conjoining, sharing bodies or parts.
* becoming a hybrid, another species, or fusion
* body, mind, or body part swapping
* natural body magic (being taken apart and/or reconfigured as if body was made of soft clay, clean stumps)
* rubber brush play, ala Naga’s Den
* elastic, stretching, or otherwise extending body parts, especially taur trains, tongues and tails.

Ask me about my wholesome setting, Ellzee. One-third of the world has been TF’d into furries against their will, and everyone is working to adjust to this.

While I do like snuggles and hugs and ending a session with sleep, I do prefer my RP to be more than just hugging and sleeping. I am SFW, so hugs and snugs roleplay tends to end up getting close to the line where we go NSFW, and that’s not where I want to be.

Would consider with the right RPer:
* Vore as a TF method
* Shrinking or growing, but nothing so big that would prevent anyone getting out a doorway.
* More than just mild Dom/Sub play. I prefer it to be respectful and mutual.
* Hypnosis or mind control
* Size play

Not interested in
* Death or consciousness death
* Anything R18 or NSFW, overly intimate or romantic or erotic.
* Gore, scat, etc.
* Any permanence outside of our own RP continuity
* Macro - 10ft might be okay, more than that is too much

* Over-eating obesity (a little chonk or squish is fine, not being able to walk isn’t)
* Inanimate transformation

## Style
RP is a creative, collaborative effort, so I want you to be creative and not let me carry all the writing or story.

I prefer longer, active and descriptive writing. Most things, especially transformation, should be a process that is described, not just a bullet point. “Your sides tingle, and you feel a weird sensation as bones change to grow new shoulders under your existing pair. You watch as two new hands and arms slowly and painlessly emerge from your pelt.” is vastly preferred to the boring “ok, you now have four arms”. Engage all the senses, please.

I don’t mind if your English or typing is slow or inaccurate, but do be as clear as you can be. If I have to clarify everything you’re typing, we’re both gonna have a bad time.

Live chat is preferred, but settling to turn based is fine :) I don’t mind if it takes days or weeks to complete, but I do prefer having an end goal in mind.
