General | Posted 9 years agoA bit late in writing about this, but if anyone who watches me is familiar with Dreamkeepers, then you might have heard about a rather creative novel based in the Dreamkeepers universe called "The Wayward Astronomer."

It's an awesome, twenty-five chapter novel that takes place in the colorful Dreamkeepers world. Written by Geoffrey Thomas, the admin of the Dreamkeepers fan group over on deviantART, who goes by his alias Kafelnikov. The novel is in its full rough draft form on deviantART, but it is being published as a full novel and being funded by the above linked Kickstarter.
The goal has just been met yesterday, so now is a good time to pledge to this awesome book so we can get some stretch goals met.

So far, the goal was already met in the first 24 hours before the official announcement was even made. The first six stretch goals have also been met.

Ooooooooverdue Update

So, yeah. Going through another serious drought of writer's block and it looks like it's gonna stay that way for quite a while. At least, until I can find some breathing room and whatnot. I'm currently going through college and my time has just been getting eaten alive slowly, but surely.
For those who don't keep up with my other accounts, the majority of my uploading and social activity is on deviantART. My IB has been dead as far as uploading is concerned. I do a few photoshopping projects on dA whenever I have time, since they help relieve stress and don't take nearly as much effort as fanfics. So, there's fan-made Yu-Gi-Oh cards, motivational posters and a handful of meme images to look at if you're not into my writing all that much.
That's really all I have to say here. If you want to see what's latest with me, check out my dA. It's where the most activity will be.

Tycho. My alias is Joe Slater.
2.) Do you know why you were named that?
My father named me, but with no special meanings behind the name. It is simply a name for me to give it its own special meanings.

Single... for the moment.
4.) Have any abilities or powers?
A Saiyan is always born with powers. We tap into our own spirits, harnessing its power, and releasing it through our bodies. I am no different. Strength and flight are also uses of our spirit energies.

Depends on if I'm fighting a Human or Mobian wrestler. Then, yes, I would. I've met my match against other alien species, but the people of Mobius? Heh! Nothing but jokes!

My father is the only family I need. Though, I'm not even sure if he survived Planet Vegeta's destruction. If not, then no.

I seem to have taken up video gaming, but a Saiyan must never forget to train. The elite do not neglect the basics!

I'm afraid I've never really kept up with the meaning of the word "hurt". In other words, I've gone far beyond hurt.

I often have the tendencies of a pervert. If you ever see me staring at a glass door leading to a women's bathing room in G.U.N HQ, I'm seeing more than the glass and steam.
16.) Do you look up to anyone at all?
I once looked up to my mentor in the Academy, Prince Vegeta. Everyone looked up to him, naturally. Now, I look up to myself.
17.) Gay, straight, or bi?
Straight. No interest in my fellow man.

As touched on above, I went to the Imperial Academy on my homeworld, under the tutelage of Prince Vegeta.
19.) Ever wanna marry and have kids one day?
Marriage? Likely. Kids? Don't even go there with me.

I get plenty of fans in Station Square due to my 'good deeds' and charisma. And I never knew I was so charismatic! Either that or these Mobian races are extremely gullible.

Death. It is frowned upon for a Saiyan to think about losing his own life. But, this is one rule that I must break. I fear death.

Jet black.

My formal Saiyan attire. A white and black battle vest, a black bodysuit, black fingerless gloves, and white and black boots. Just recently, I donned a black overcoat and a silver ball necklace with the Saiyan Empire's crest as a pendant. The coat, I don't know why I picked that up. The necklace should be easy to understand.

I wish... to become a myth. A mythical Super Saiyan. That is all.

Acceptable. Though, these people really need to learn how long to cook them without burning the crust everytime. It's disgraceful.

Pizza. And I personally thank whatever gods who created my people for giving us a strong digestive system. Our bodies break down food before the fats and sugars start to be absorbed into our muscles.
Oh, and by the way, pepperoni pizza to be exact.

The Dragon Kingdom. The elder fighters there have taught me many great techniques.

Computer Fixed And Operational!
General | Posted 13 years agoNot as bad as I thought it would be. Power supply gave out after years of being overheated (tiny tower, not misused). It was just a matter of replacing it and putting the other components into a bigger tower. Now with it back into service with a more suitable case, things should be back to normal. May or may not be able to post the next part of my current fanfic. Still on hiatus, despite the sudden computer loss.

General | Posted 13 years agoSooooo, my computer has decided to stop working on me. Currently in the process of troubleshooting, but I'm not the most tech-savvy guy around here. Though, I'm pretty sure I know the problem. If it's what I think it is, then I'm basically screwed for the moment.
I'll try to keep you all posted, though that's not a guarantee. I'll still be commenting, lurking, etc. from my iPod. Hell, most of my activity has been on my iPod for a while now, so not much has changed there.

General | Posted 13 years agoI'm done with BtB. I can't keep it going. I've stressed myself too much, wasted too much time thinking about it, the Prologue completely decimated my mind from the effort.
The whole 'ANONYMOUS' journal was just a useless April Fools joke. Nothing happened to me over the months. I've just been moderately busy and I just can't find the will to continue BtB. DK:HH I'll eventually finish, but BtB has got to stop where it is.

"ANONYMOUS" Plans to Attack FA and Rule 34

Received some e-mail from my Youtube account from ANON, stating that they were informing random Youtubers that they were going to attack Furaffinity and Rule 34 Paheal.
Reasons for attacking FA: The banning and control of copyrighted material such as songs and videos, and charas from popular franchises like Sonic. Also, for the banning of cub pornography.
Reasons for attacking Rule 34: Mainly for the banning of "Toddlercon", as the site owner calls it. ANON intends to attack them for the banning of child porn and Toddlercon.
ANON, from what I understand, is all about the need for free information. Those who censor or control the flow of information will be taught a lesson through hacking.
They've become quite a hit since last year and I'm not surprised they've chosen these two sites as their primary targets. No doubt, some members from the group are members of FA who have had grudges towards FA for its constant abuse of power and banning of people's artwork. Work that they spent precious time working on. Other members probably don't like Rule 34 either, since wilaboo claims that 'when the law is clear, the law is clear.' ANON had something to say about that, but I'll just withhold that part of the e-mail.
Just thought I'd let everyone know, just in case the site goes down, because they claim they're doing it today. Since it's April Fools, not even a bomb threat will be taken seriously. So, they think it's a pretty good time to strike.

2nd Coming
General | Posted 14 years agoIt's taken awhile, but it's finally returning! Sonic/DBZ: Battlers to Brethren - The Reboot.
Right now, I'm slowly working on the first chapter. No more separate parts. All going to be whole chapters.
Now, I don't really see this being any kind of a success or whatever. I just looked at my original, incomplete BtB fanfic in the members-only fanfiction area and it only has a little over 45 views. Maybe that's because of its location, with it being members-only, not sure if guests count as viewers.
What I'm trying to say is, I don't want to restart this entire series of mine like it's my first time writing it out and not have anyone even glance at it. It was a nice turnout back on the Pal Forums before the hacker attack, but that might involve the constant updating, bringing new users or users who couldn't ignore it any longer to it.
I'm happy to finally gain the willpower to give it another shot, but now I'm tired of writing for myself. I want to see just how well of a writer I really am, you know? I need readers to help me see that.
So, anyway, keep your eyes open. I'm bound to get the first chapter done eventually. Until then, ciao!

I'm honestly disappointed to see him go, especially like this. It would seem someone sent in a complaint to the head haunchos about his art, they investigated, examined, and they seem to be convinced that is's depictions of Amy Rose are underaged and don't fit the AUP guidelines for physical attributes matching the allowed age.
But, truth be told, Amy is underaged and as much as they seem to suck at their job, Drago and Scig are doing just that in this case: their job.
Not taking their side or anything like that, since I've heard the stories, rumors, and screenshot evidence.
Best of luck to is on his blogspot and hope he reconsiders his decision about leaving IB. Hope to hear from him soon. If you find this journal, is, stay strong. ^^

It would seem someone sent in a complaint to the head haunchos about his art, they investigated, examined, and they seem to be convinced that is's depictions of Amy Rose are underaged and don't fit the AUP guidelines for physical attributes matching the allowed age.
But, truth be told, Amy is underaged and as much as they seem to suck at their job, Drago and Scig are doing just that in this case: their job.
Not taking their side or anything like that, since I've heard the stories, rumors, and screenshot evidence.
Best of luck to is on his blogspot and hope he reconsiders his decision about leaving IB. Hope to hear from him soon. If you find this journal, is, stay strong. ^^

General | Posted 14 years agoAs several of you are aware, I am posting the full chapters of my DK: Hell Hybrids fanfiction on the Dreamkeepers Forums. Some of you also have accounts here on FA as well, which has led one user to ask me why I'm posting DKHH on the forums when I already have the story here.
Well, let's just say it's mainly for your convenience and for my sake in morale. When I post a fanfiction, I don't expect a whole lot of comments to appear as a result. I learned that very quickly during my days on the Palcomix Forums.
I've never counted on feedback, but you know, if you have anything to say about my work, ANYTHING to say, just say it. You never know. What you say may convince me to do something better with a future story. I've worked on fanfiction for a while now and gotten little to no comments, but that never stopped me.
Anyway, to stay on topic, I just thought it'd be beneficial to some of us if I post DKHH to several different locations. Like the title says, 'for your convenience ;).'

General | Posted 14 years agoI am REALLY sorry for the sudden pause in updating my story. Got caught up in the summer so badly, I just abandoned my fanfiction temporarily. But now, you should see a steady increase in updates from here on out. Again, sorry for the hold up, fanfic readers. :p
