Turning 30 Jan and I’m trying to make 2024 a redemption arc of sorts and restart my life like I’m 20 again 🙏💕

So I’m seeing what my options are out there. I’m a bit wary to do this. But my original plan was to get a room at one of the hotels across the street (the 3 with skywalk access) for maybe like $150-$170 a night by myself. I was not expecting it to be $300 a night @_@ I just can’t justify spending $600 on two nights by myself when I live 40 minutes from the con.

So with that said, I’m looking to see if anyone may have a room spot open in the Hyatt, Hilton, or double tree. I’m a bit picky and willing to pay ($100-150) for Friday and Saturday night. But I don’t really want more than 4 people to be in the room. Maybe 5 if it’s like a bigger room (the Hyatt’s rooms are smaller than a motel room).

The big thing is that there is me and I have two fursuit bins (they aren’t that big).

Yeah. Maybe it’s the warmer weather breathing motivation into me or something lol but I’m finally getting around to uploading stuff!

If you haven’t seen yet, I got a new fursuit, so I’ll probably take a lot of selfies in that for the time being. But you’ll be seeing a lot of starburst as I have a few things to upload from some photo shoots and cons and crap!

So, I’m sure no one close to me reads this, so I’m just going to be blunt.

But I’ve been looking forwards to Fur Squarded (a Wisconsin fur con) for months now and after how much fun I had at Midwest furfest for just a single day, I decided to rely on someone else for a rooming situation for F^2.

Well that went south the day of after I was all ready there so I knew I couldn’t really drink all to much and the interactions were.... what ever.

I guess in the end even though people call me young. I’m just too old or stupid situations. So after a 5 hours of the con, I just hunted down what was supposed to be a room mate and got my stuff and left (almost a 2 hour drive home at 2am).

I did have some lovely interactions with some people I was quite happy to meet! But it was getting late and I knew I wasn’t going to stay the night at the con anymore. So thanks to everyone I interacted with!

That’s the end of my lil vent thing. The moral of the story here (for me only) is to depend on yourself only. That way if the bar is always low, everything else that happens is always a surprises and eventful.

I'll make this brief. But lately I've been going through existence crisis's for no good reason that's been making me question my motives in life even though things are going pretty well for me.

Well for some reason, I forced myself to sit down and add up every commission I have ever gotten in the last two years (since I started this whole thing) and converted it all to USD to get an EXACT dollar amount. I've redone the math multiple times just to make sure since it's an astronomical number. But they payments done lie....

In two years I have accumulated 247 commissions (stickers counting as multiple since they tend to cost $15 each) along with a handful of commissions that I'm stilled owed that I may never see. But all of those commissions has totaled to an exact $6,239....

That's right, in two years I've gotten 250+ commissions that equals over 6k. AND! On top of it all, my fursuit brings that total up to a wopping $8,615!!!! IN JUST TWO YEARS!!!!


I think it's safe to say I've spent another $1,000 in hotel rooms, con badges, and extra expenses to bring that total up to $10,000!.... so yeah, I'm questioning what I'm even doing anymore and the realization that I have zero self control makes me want to stop everything and just close this chapter in my life.... idk anymore...


TLDR: I've spent $10,000 in two years and furry related shit and I'm losing my mind over it.

So like the title says. I'm looking for a way to better improve how I act as a costume performer.

After being to two conventions now and looking over the pictures I have, I kinda hit me that I just walk around with a dope-de-doe personality with like 3 stances and hand gestures to seem "cute" in a way.

Im not sure how to go about it and trying to google these questions aren't really helping me. I'm thinking about training myself to made a handful of noises (since I don't talk in suit) or just talking the easy route and getting a squeaker. Idk...


So if anyone has seen some good tutorials of some sort to add personality to your character or you, yourself are good at doing that. Fire away! Throw in links into the comments, say what ever comes to mind. Really anything!!

So yeah, I've decided I'm going to day trip a si-fi con up in Wisconsin this Saturday from probably 5pm-8pm. I'm going to suit as much as possible, though I'll probably do it in two chunks of an hour each since I'll only have my car to change into and out of suit.

So like the title says. I'm like psyching myself out more than I should about this....

I've all ready read and watched like 30 videos/tutorials and even contacted my maker about a few questions. But idk, I'm like weirdly worried I'm going to botch this up D=

I've decided to go the safest route first time around and bathtub wash it with cold water after taking all the foam out, and I'll spot clean the fursuit head.

I know I'm going to have to deep clean it after every convention and spot clean at other events if only partially used. So I guess I'm making this journal to make sure I do it this weekend lol

Anyone have any tips on what kind of detergent I should use on the bodysuit? I think I'm going to use Woolite.

I actually got my fursuit like a week and a half ago I think, I've just been super lazy about putting up a journal.

So yeah, I don't have a lot of photos of it as of this moment because I've been super busy, but that will change because I'm going to be showing it off for the first time at Anime Midwest in Rosemont, IL! Super pumped, and prepare yourselves for my soon to be somewhat spamming of photos after the con as I get my first fursuiting experance out of my system lol.
