Heyooooo folks! We're aliiiiiive... and now a Cerberus! Sooooo... lots have been going on in life, work's going well, our Twitch hobby is picking up and we got an awesome model done by   zi0808 and rigged by MotherLyra!

We're making progress in making the streaming fun for everyone and currently... well, we reached 200 followers on Twitch a little bit ago and have been thinking about how to celebrate it! So an idea came to us: let's raffle a story in chat! We've been writing mostly as a hobby and streaming as a hobby so it's only natural to combine them both to reward the community :D Who knows, we might do it more often if it catches on!

Hey folks! Bit of an update: I'm still alive and have moved to Bluesky! My twitter account is now deactivated to dodge the whole AI training rule, even though they decided last minute not to implement it... Well, let's just say enough crap happened on that hellsite to warrant moving on. It's been 5 days since I left there and everything just feels much better on Bluesky already. I'll work on posting art there every now and then but mostly keep it to work in combo with my Twitch streaming!

Hey there! Yeah, I'm alive, lots have been happening lately. Since last journal/year, I've switched jobs 2 times from the cheese factory (I finally quit that garbage exploitative place) to a Canadian Tire (always meant to be temporary) to (finally) Costco 2 weeks ago. Finally I have a career in front of me that would be stable, well paying and without working over 50 hours a week. And I actually kinda like it too :D

And a few weeks ago on the personal side, I've told my dad about me being trans. He kiiinda suspected something was up and didn't make a big drama out of it, saying it's my life and I can do what I like. Rapidly processed it and haven't really talked much of it since then but it's a big step in the right direction.

With that in mind, with extra free time and a stable future for the time being, I've been getting into Twitch streaming a bit. It's not much yet but I'm gaming all the time so streaming it just feels logical and fun! I've been streaming a couple of games every odd day and am working on a schedule to announce. Hey there folks, I'm still alive! And I've been building a few things in the last weeks, trying to expand on my writing and I figure that it might be best to split my account into 2 parts.
This account here  JustAnotherWeirdguy will continue to be my commissions account where I'll post commissions I get from various artists over FA and other places.
The new one at  NuciferaStories will feature my newest stories I make, be it things I write as commissions for other people or other stories I do as a hobby. I'll also be doing my best to build on the Nucifera Initiative (not cinematic haha) universe, a project I've had for years now and I figure this is a good time to launch it forward!

Alright, anyone wants a writing commission done by me? I'm thinking 15$/1000 words, limiting it to about 3000-4000 words at first. Most themes allowed, be it fantasy, cyberpunk, modern, etc.
There are several examples of my writing on my FA page but I can share others in private if you'd like an example. This is a new thing I'd like to try so please do not hesitate to give input.

Hello y'all following me! I know it's been a while last I posted anything over here. Part of it is laziness and another part is because I now have a Twitter (linked below) where I try to be more active.
But that's not really why I'm sending this journal, it's to invite people to vote on a meme my good friend   Amara_Burrger started a few... I'll say a few weeks ago? Time has been fuzzy lately with everything going on. Anyways, I jumped into her 6 species meme and y'all are invited to suggest species you'd like to see my sona as. Oh yes, also I'm alive. This is not a robot typing or anything (unless in a synth mood lol). Life's going relatively okay and I'm safe at home, starting work again next monday.

So it's been a long time... I'm still alive, making progress in my life and figuring myself out. I'll ''try'' and make it short but hey, lots happened. Feel free to skip, my new Twitter's link will be down below everything.

Biggest news I realized I've never really posted about it here: I'm trans. Have known for a while now but it's something I'm just now telling my ''irl'' friends and it's going well enough. Getting a lot of support as I did with my online friend circles and it's welcome.
My mother also knows but she's in denial about it... and I've told her some month or so ago. I still don't know how to break the news to my father but after that... I can see clear as day a path to transitioning, which is one of my big objectives in life currently.

The biggest help and support I have been getting has been from my boyfriend who I've been with for 2 years now. His profile can be seen here too:   LilKodiKuddles I've had the luck to meet him twice now in person and every moment with him has been perfect. I'm already looking forward to seeing him again at the soonest possible time and building a future together! He's a very talented programmer too if anyone needs helps with something or is hiring, give him a poke!

As for my job, I'm lucky enough to have been hired as a permanent employee in a... I guess I'll call it a multi purpose center? It has hiking trails in summer, a unique black bear observation set of activities for which I'm a trained tour guide when the needs arise. I basically explain the life cycle of the black bear and later brings clients to observe as multiple guides give a snack to the bears, all in a respectful attitude of the natural environment.
When I'm not a guide, I'm at the greeting post (classic pay-to-hike fee collector). During the winter, we're a ski center and work with a partner to offer snowshoe hikes and dogsled rides.
Summing it up: it's a shitload of tasks, very stressful at times but it's a permanent job with a good possibility of advancement, both professionally and on the personal level.

Hi good people of FA, it's... been a while I posted anything. Life has been pretty damn busy around here. Job has been painful to run after to finally be as shitty as I thought... but I had no other options. Guess it pays the bills, the end. Apart from that... I'm in grief.

My grandfather who's always been close to me has passed on about 3 weeks ago. I was seeing dark all the time at the funeral and came back at the job I hated so much after my 2 days break. I just wanted to lash out against a colleague, the type who has no respect for anything and sees me as ''his employee'', sending me do chores he's too lazy to do. I made it known to him I wouldn't take more of his shit... And now he's doing things in my back, bragging of tasks I did alone as his own achievements. No need to say I'm tired...

And amongst all that, I just... went through a breakup with my boyfriend. It's hard to talk about and I'll keep it private but my heart hurts even more than I thought possible...

So... I guess that was my life in a nutshell. Thanks for reading this and... I've been thinking and a lot needs to be done to improve on that. Starting with posting art every few days as I can. I've been lazy about that and I want to change those ways.

I've been a silent follower for what seems like an eternity, and yet a few months ago I had the courage to reach out and really join the fandom. It's only tonight that I realize it's been a dream for even longer than I remember.

It's been a couple of rough weeks and to be honest I felt depressed in the last days. I questioned myself all this time, wondering if I really fit in, both in real life and on FA. My own mind denied the importance of the fandom in my life. To be short: I was conflicted at being a furry. It might be why writing the story on my latest piece made me really SEE what I'd been missing out.

As I wrote, something came to mind. Every character I wrote in the previous stories had only a little in common with me but they all differed somehow. I thought as they did, it was like acting in a movie or a theatre. But this time around... it was different: I forgot to play a role.

After a few paragraphs, I saw myself in ''Michael'' and changed it to ''Maxime'', my real name. I wanted to experiment on it but it turned out to wake something in me. I stopped trying to fill out a role and instead put myself out there, in that situation. At first it felt silly, strange but I grew to like that new way of doing things.

So, not only did I put myself out there in this piece but I now feel like a real furry. After all these years watching and trying to find a place to fit in, I finally found it. I'm proud to be part of the community now and I'll be here for a long time!

I'm a furry and I love it.

I started out writing as a way to pass the time and it just occured to me today that I might also do it for other people, as commissions or otherwise. It's strange to think of all the steps that led to this moment, to this thought. About a month or two ago I started getting commissions which was already a huge step. A week later, I had began to write the prologue of a book. As I created the characters and the universe, something clicked, like an inspiration to write.
The last month was long and the search for a job didn't go so well, pushing me to find new options. And it's today, 28 days later that i had this idea to ''work'' so to speak on FA, as a writer. Who knows, it might turn out to be a good move, or a bad one.
I'll take a couple of days to think on it, stay tuned if you want to hear more. If not, there's always the red X up there!

Thing is, if I were to begin doing so, I honestly don't know where to begin and where this journey could lead. Right now, I just do it for fun, using my own commissions to create stories. I feel it would be different to do it for others professionally.
All this to say: to any writer out there, where should I begin? Could you (please) give some feedback?

P.S.: I like writing both in french (my native language) and in english but would like feedback to improve my writing style, as I feel it's missing a little something.
