Is It Worth Anything?
Posted 3 days agoAm wondering if writing stories matters. While I enjoy writing em, the problem is that when I'm done, it's just there. Aside from proofreading or such, I don't see much reason I'd read my own story. I dunno, guess I feel like whatever I write or make just ends up collecting dust, digitally or physically.
Am I doing something wrong or do I just no belong here?
Posted 7 years agoBeen trying to meet people on here and make some friends. Seems like no one is all that interested to talk with me. Trying to reach out to someone usually result in no response or a generic, one note response and nothing else... Thought trying to reach out would be more fun and interesting, turns out it's just disappointing.
Am considering giving up on trying to make friends here...

Not much
Posted 8 years agoThat feeling you get when you realize no one really cares that you exist and have no life. Having to spend most of your time working a nightjob to make ends meet... feels like I have no friends and barely much family outside of those I live with.
Trying to make friends...
Posted 8 years agoHey, well, doubt anyone is gonna see this, anyways...
So, been trying to meet people on here and make some friends. Seems like few, if any, are all that interested to talk with me. Attempts to reach out to someone usually result in no response or a generic, one note response and nothing else... Thought trying to reach out would be more fun and interesting, turns out it's just disappointing.

Irma
Posted 8 years agoSo this hurricane is looking to be a beast, and it's heading right for my area.
Any and all prayers would be appreciated as my family and I are preparing.

Trying To Meet Others And Make Friends
Posted 8 years agoBeen trying to make friends and.... I feel kind of like I'm not wanted..... tried to reach out to some and have fun and chat. And they barely ever respond, if they do at all when I first reach out... feels like I'm doing something wrong or like, I'm no good...
Speech
Posted 8 years agoI believe that a person has the full right to say anything they want, no matter how immoral or disgusting someone else finds it. Unless they're directly calling for violence against someone (no, hurting someones feelings and offending someone isn't violence, the Supreme Court has already ruled on that many times), or they turn violent, then that is the only time it should be stopped/investigated. Otherwise, it doesn't matter if someone says the most racist, anti-LGBT, Anti-Christian, immoral, crude thing there is, they have the full right to say it, just as anyone has the full right to respond to it.
And before anyone says, NO, I do not defend or endorse what the Neo-Nazi/KKK thugs said, nor do I endorse the equally-vile, Antifa (though they're far more pro-Fascism than they are against it) thugs.
The First Amendment protects the person's right to say what they want, it does not protect against any kind of backlash or any response from what they say. And, the same rule of violence applies to those responding, as long as it's peaceful and non-threatening, you can respond to your heart's content.
I don't really care where you fall on the political spectrum, the right to Free Speech is one of the crucial rights that makes America in particular, the most free country on Earth. Whether you're on the left or right, you should agree to keep and protect this right, as it's necessary to both sides. Limiting this right in any way is the most slippery slope into a totalitarian dictatorship.

Heyo
Posted 8 years agoAm I doing something wrong? Been trying to be friendly with others on places like here, Skype or Discord and it feels like no one wants me around, like I have done something wrong. I'll give it a bit longer before I give up trying to make friends.
My Stance
Posted 8 years agoI know my views aren't all that popular on here but I'm fed up.
I'm sick of seeing people post childish, immature rants about the US president simply because they don't like him. It's disgraceful to the office and to the United States as a country. Just because you dislike him, doesn't give you free reign to insult him and the presidency.
And the excuse, "Well he's already disgracing the presidency!" is pathetic, one, you obviously have no clue about past presidents like President Kennedy, President Johnson, and President Franklin Roosevelt. They were just as, if not more outrageous and immoral than President Trump, yet somehow, especially in the case of President Kennedy, were great leaders. President Trump isn't a disgrace to the office, he's simply flawed like every human being is and he wasn't groomed like President Obama or Hillary to present themselves as saints (when they themselves are far from that). Do I love everything he says/Tweets and does? No, he has made mistakes and I do not support or condone his previous immoral dealings. Still, I can and am behind many of his policies and do like quite a bit of the things he's done in only seven months of being in office.
Yeah, I very much disagreed with President Obama's policies, nearly all of them. Yet, I don't have an intense, personal hatred towards him and don't wish him no ill will because that is how you treat and respect a President. Like it or not, President Trump won the election constitutionally and t wasn't because of "backwards bigoted rednecks" it was because many middle-class Americans were sick of President Obama's policies that screwed them over. (Obamacare, his anti-coal agenda, the "social justice" agenda that he pushed, the condescension and constantly saying how wrong and evil America is, his anti-police/military agenda, the crumbling VA he refused to fix, the overreach of government regulations into businesses that made it hard for companies to grow, etc...) Many people who voted for President Obama, voted for President Trump, that's the only way President Trump could have won.
Hillary Clinton was a laughably bad, quite possibly the worst candidate the DNC could've picked. She is the epitome of D.C. Elitism and corruption. She had no message, she had no plan but the exact same thing that has been happening for the eight previous years. She blatantly called half of the nation "A Basket Of Deplorables" (HOW DO YOU THINK PEOPLE ARE GOING TO VOTE WHEN YOU TALK TO THEM LIKE THAT?!?! HURLING LABELS AND INSULTS DOESN'T MAKE AN ARGUMENT!! IT JUST MEANS YOU'RE A MORON WITH NO ARGUMENT!! ACTUALLY MAKE AN ARGUMENT!!), she let the 9/11 attack on Benghazi happen, she failed to give the Ambassador, Chris Stevens, the extra security he pleaded for multiple times, and she did nothing when the attack happened and then lied about it by blaming it on a video, when it was, within a few hours, shown to have been false. The list of scandals this woman and her husband have is very, very long and the fact the emails became such an issue is purely her fault. If she had just followed the law, then there wouldn't have been any issue and she shot herself in the foot.
You can cry about how "racist, xenophobic, homophboic, islamaphobic" or whatever label you want to hurl at President Trump and his supporters, but just because you repeat them with some insecure and immature insults. By hurling such insults with no argument, is one of the main factors that led to President Trump being elected. Funny, people don't like being called idiots when they really aren't and just want to support their family and have decent jobs... huh...
Ironically enough, I wasn't a Trump supporter in the primaries and wasn't thrilled when Trump won the GOP nomination. However, as more time has gone on, the radical, irrational actions and language used by the Left have pushed me to like President Trump more and more. Us conservatives have tried to be nice, we ran with McCain and Romney, and still the Left sneered and mocked us until we got fed up with the stupidity and being told we're evil because of the color of our skin or our political position. So, in 2016, we ran with someone who wasn't afraid to smack down the Left and didn't care what was said about them. Someone who actually thinks America is a great country, the best country in the world. Someone who cares for our law enforcement and military, someone who wanted to improve trade and the economy, someone who wouldn't bow to other nations but was willing to work with them, someone who wanted to address the illegal aliens flooding into the country, taking jobs and bringing in crime and drugs into our communities!
Honestly, I don't care if this offends you, I'm beyond playing that game so spare me the tears, they mean nothing to me. In fact, they're a badge of honor,
If you don't, and decide to nonsensically call me names and labels, you completely validate everything I said and are a great example of why President Trump is (if you're a US citizen) is your president, no matter how much you deny it. Either bring a real, rational argument to the table or don't say anything.
