I guess I should sorta give a quick blab about myself and my artist's block. I've not been able to draw one thing in the last 4 months and it's sort of... intimidating anymore. I made a ref sheet update but before that, it had been months still since anything else was drawn.
Do you folks deal with this? This isn't a plug for artwork or anything, but I am honestly a little afraid of drawing anymore. I don't know why. My therapist recommended I get back into it, but I sort of hate the undertones that come across in my art-- even something painfully technical as my ref sheet.

Protip: I'm kinda drunk while writing this so expect adhd to take over at any moment.
So, as most of you probably don't know, I'm out of nursing school and am in fact working at a hospital pretty much all the fucking time. I seriously have been having trouble finding time to draw anymore, but I am still interested in coming on here right now at least. That may be the scotch talking, but this is a kind of fun place. Minus the perverts. And the mentally deficient.
SO who here wouldf actually like to see any more drawings from me on here? I know that's kind of an attention-whorish way to... whore... attention... anyway. I need to know what people want to see more of on here out of me. I guess I need to dedicate some more time to artwork instead of professional ass wiping, so any feedback would be appreciated.

Posted 13 years agoI have applied to 5 different hospitals in the last week and I just heard back from a hospital and have scheduled my first big boy interview this Friday, 9/21/12 at 10:00. I'm scurred and whatnot. WAT DO. Also I just got ym first bill for school-- monthly minimum payment for $265.00. Oh well shit idk how I'll pay that by my deadline of October 1st. GAH. GROWING UP SUCKS KIDS DON'T DO IT.

I just realized something. I'm currently making a new ref sheet for my character/murrsona/fluffy-assed avatar and I just realized something appalling:
I just spent 35 minutes trying to figure out what his color scheme downstairs would look like. Yeah, that's right. I don't know what to color the crotch area. Also butts plus rudder tails= confusing anatomical dilemma.
I know I have 3 ideas: pink, tummy color for most of it or pink, but I just am completely stumped over this. Ironic part is that I'm going to be covering up that part of his body anyway with clothes. But oh god, I'm a total furfaggot. Concerned over what my penis looks like. Someone kick my ass for me please.
Also I fucking hate stripes. Why did I make a character that's covered in them? I should have picked round spots.
Anyone else hate a part about their character?

So today I kindasorta kicked my dad's ass...
He started ragging on me about how useless I've been and how much of a drain I am on other people. Then he started to mention something about relationships and something... I don't know. I stopped listening by that point and my blood was boiling by that point. So I stood up to him and stared him in the eyes.
"You can cut this shit out right now, dad."
"Make me." He poked me in the chest with his finger and continued, "you're too big of a pussy ass to do anything at a--."
So I grabbed his hand, twisted it around and put him into a half-nelson (arm curved and locked behind the victim's back) and used my free left hand to jab at his flank. He elbowed me in the gut and attempted a crotch hit on me. Knocked his knees from out under him and got his neck in a sleeper hold until my mom came by and made me/us stop.
He came by where I was 10 or 15 minutes later and apologized for saying what he did, that he was feeling stressed and he was sorry he took it out on me and that he was proud of me for standing up to him. Odd kind of mix of feelings right now about this whole ordeal. But I can safely say I beat my dad up today-- he's got a large bruise on his left flank from me jabbing him there. My abs are pretty sore but no bruises I think.
I still got an adrenaline kick even now.

Posted 13 years agoOkay, let me just say that tuna is getting to be an obsession of mine. Omnomnomnom sammiches. I want teh fosh tacos so bad now-- I've had this craving for so long.
Anyway, now that that's been vented effectively, I will be looking forward to testing next week, 10th of August for my nursing license. You've likely noticed a slow-down of submissions. Frankly I've had to prioritize some things, and studying with the occasional Skyrim breaks (as rewards) have eaten up my energies. I'm super excited and honestly, scared shitless over this test. My classmates have all, uniformly done very well on the test, but I've been working my ass off preparing for this to be a success. Seriously, wish me luck/well on August 10th.
I am planning on fiddling with that little animated avatar sometime soon. Dunno how it'll turn out.

I am talking with a girl *blushes*. Well, place your bets on how short this will last :V One of the first times I've ever successfully started a relationship from a friendship. Kind of new territory for me. A lot harder to scare someone-- she knows I'm loony, haha.
I'm growing my vocabulary again-- I have this odd fear of developing dementia when I get older so I'm making a point of doing a crossword or a sudoku or two a day. Nice little site if you like sudoku: www.websudoku.com It's simple and to-the-point.
Thinking about getting a cellphone, but I'm clueless to what's a good provider. ATM, I'm thinking of a Samsung Glaxy SIII (shiiiny) through AT&T, though I obviously won't be getting one until I secure a job. I hear hospitals give decent cell discounts (15-20% off services), so yay.

Posted 13 years agoThings have been going... strangely to say the least. Been a little out-of-sorts when it comes to art. Frustrated and such. Been worried about some other things. SO HERE IS A RUNDOWN of what's on my mind:
*Uncle has 2 masses on his kidneys. doctor isn't sure, but thinks it is probably benign/not cancer. going to have surgery soon to get them removed/checked.
*One of my best friends is moving to the other side of NC. I am sad.
*Saw "Brave" with this girl-- I loved that movie. A little hokey at times but yay, pretty and yay, messages learned.
*Best friend broke up with her bf, which happens to be a fraternity brother. I am confused about what should go on, because I have feelings for this girl.
*Finished fighting the state about my nursing license test issues, so hopefully I'll be able to test roughly by August or sooner. I want to start work so badly ;~;
*weight is still yo-yoing. still trying to lose weight. I was bad and ate lots of candy today (probably stress or so) so inb4 weight gain.

Posted 13 years agoI've been having the itch to play MineCraft and see what the hype is about, but I'm honestly unable to do so. I'm flat broke and have no way to pay for it. I think my one and only credit card can't be used for that (stupid store credit cards).
So maybe if someone has that much money to burn (lol-- doubt that) or would like to give me a gift code for it, I would be super appreciative. I also might be talked into making it a "commission" of sorts but I honestly don't know what kind of work of mine would be worth $27. So it might now be a fair trade :c
If you would consider this, please don't go out directly and buy a gift copy of the game until we can agree on an arrangement of what I could offer. Then we can move forward from there.
I feel really embarrassed to ask for something so trivial like this...
