Greetings once again, S.U.P.E.R. fans!


Before we get to the main point of the journal, a short update on chapter progress.

We're flying through "S.U.P.E.R." #14; it's already been roleplayed, and there's only about another 1.5 pages left to convert. This chapter is kind of special, though, as it will be our first cameo chapter! In other words, the chapter makes use of a character that does not belong to us, but that we have used with permission from its rightful owners. They even suggested the idea, in fact!
Because of this, though, the character's owners will have to look the chapter over before it's posted for everyone to see. We want to make sure we have fairly accurately portrayed their character, and that his owners are happy with the situation he is put in within the chapter. This may cause a slight delay in the submission of the chapter.
As stated on our main page here, we ARE open to more cameos and crossovers. Our universe is kind of still in its infancy, though, so others interested in the idea might find it profitable to wait until we expand some more. The more we expand our universe, more possibilities and scenarios become possible! We also have our stories planned out pretty far ahead, so keep in mind the character may not be able to appear in a currently ongoing story.

We have also decided to further separate the chapters. The separation we have been mentioning in chapter descriptions will now be pushed back to the next chapter after this one, so the cut-off will now occur in "S.U.P.E.R." #15, not #14. We decided it is a little too important to just be shoved at the end of a cameo chapter; we want the cameo/crossover to stand alone and also stretch out the events of the separation in a chapter all its own.


Now, on to the main purpose of the journal.


We've been on a waiting list for commissioning our designated concept artist, ~KoopusK, and now our turn is coming up. Our goal this time is to get a couple more portraits done to turn into future Database entries. We've got a few ideas ourselves, some of them for pivotal characters we haven't revealed yet. But we're curious as to who YOU guys would like to see!

FINALLY got this profile back after trying for like a week. Still working on getting the others back; it's going to be a bit more complicated for them.

Hopefully FA has learned their lesson and will update the site more often than every decade or so.

Can someone tell me how the Patreon website works?

I've sort of had the idea of making a sort of donation fund or something for the S.U.P.E.R. universe project, the money of which would help pay for periodical commissions (the comic covers), and maybe even some other projects and maybe publishing down the road.

If Patreon can help with things like that, then it might be something I'd want to look into.

Hello again, everyone.

In response to the previous journal, I have made a decision.

The S.U.P.E.R. universe will remain separated here, but will still have its current dedicated DeviantArt account and its own website in the future.

I'd like to thank you all for being okay with this situation, as frankly I was expecting an outcry to move the whole story here to FA.
While I began to feel like doing it anyway because the story IS tailored to furs, I realized that the gallery folders feature here is still too limited. I can make the folders and assign submissions to them to keep them organized, but I cannot move and organize the submissions within that folder. That's a level of order and organization that I would've liked, and I'm just glad that I found that out now rather than later.

So, here's what will happen with the S.U.P.E.R. universe from now on:

- The remainder of "S.U.P.E.R." will be posted to this account, ~JxAxP
- A spin-off story called "Fire Fox" will be uploaded in its entirety to my general account, ~FreshStartWithABrokenHeart
- NO other stories in the S.U.P.E.R. universe will be posted here. All others will ONLY be found on the universe's dedicated DeviantArt account, ~SUPERcubs.
- I will be sure to let FA users know when a new story appears there, whether by journals here or by the universe's Twitter account, @ TheSUPERverse. Please watch/follow either of these accounts to stay in the know.

Alright, everyone, here's what's going on.

In case you don't know already, "S.U.P.E.R." is WAY bigger than one 30-chapter story. Even though I'm posting that first story here, this is NOT an account for S.U.P.E.R. In other words, when I start the other stories in that universe, they WILL NOT be posted here.

Originally, I made a deviantART account dedicated to the S.U.P.E.R. universe: http://supercubs.deviantart.com/
deviantART's interface, at the time, was much better suited to what I wanted to do. Its gallery folders feature allowed me to separate everything I wanted for easy organization. Overall, I just like deviantART a whole lot, and it's a shame that more of you guys aren't really active there.

Buuuuuuut, now, FurAffinity ALSO has gallery folders.
This fact doesn't exactly change my initial statement here; I still don't want to overload this account with dozens of different S.U.P.E.R. universe stories. But it HAS given me a different idea.

Take a good look at that deviantART page for S.U.P.E.R.
If you guys REALLY want, I could now make a similar profile here on FA. But that will require A LOT of work on my part, so I won't do it unless the support is overwhelming. The chapters get relatively the same amount of views on both sites, and reader support seems to be about the same as well. I'm also trying to set up a website that will act the same way, so take all of this into account.

So, the question is:
Is that deviantART site enough, or would people like a profile like that here too?

I'm very close to starting uploading one of the many side stories to come, so NOW is the time to decide on this.

We've recently added the official ages of our heroes to their database entries, both old and young versions. Feel free to check them out!

I would also like to apologize for perhaps jumping the gun on the "civil war" idea. There's still so much of our universe to reveal, and it's just too early to be talking about it all coming together. I soon hope to remedy that with the introduction of the side story "Fire Fox", and perhaps another story too. We're now at the point in "S.U.P.E.R." where new villains will start popping up as well, beginning with the next chapter/issue, which has begun the roleplaying process.

I will be losing my main source of internet access tomorrow, so before that happens I'd like to address an important logistical issue that's coming up in our story. It's just a few chapters before what I'm talking about takes place, so I would quickly like to gauge opinions and start a discussion on a certain subject to help me figure things out.

In a world that consists entirely of anthropomorphic animals (no humans), what creatures can be kept as pets? Are pets even ethically possible in such a world?
Also, what creatures would Zoos ethically have on display, if any? Can zoos still ethically exist?

I have an idea involving these things in a few chapters/issues, so I would appreciate any and all opinions that you all can provide. There's no right or wrong answer; just tell me how you feel about these questions. Thank you.

Hello everyone!

"S.U.P.E.R." #11 has finally been finished and posted after an approximately 6-month-long gap. "S.U.P.E.R." #12 has not yet been started, but we are making great progress on the start of the long-awaited side story "Fire Fox". I predict it will be finished and posted in the next few days, but we'll see!

Tonight, I have returned from seeing "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". Despite my negative expectations going in, I really enjoyed the movie. It's not quite the sheer awesome perfection that was the first Avengers movie or "The Dark Knight", but it's still worth seeing in my opinion.

Noticing the way superhero movies are slated this year, I've noticed the overall theme of inner conflict and dissension in the ranks of the heroes. As we're trying to create a similarly expansive and immersive world with the "S.U.P.E.R." stories, I'm starting to feel the need for a similar type of story in our own universe. A couple of future stories will slightly touch on this, but what I feel we need is an all-out war between the heroes of our universe, including the ones we have already revealed and all of those yet to come. Perhaps even some villain-versus-villain action could take place too.
As this is a fairly new idea to add to this universe, I would like you the fans to help with the creation process. The idea is nothing more than what I've mentioned at the moment, so I need all the help I can get. I would like this journal entry to be used as a discussion/brainstorming hub for this "civil war" story arc. Feel free to give us any input on what you'd like to see, such as why the war takes place or even what match-ups you would like to see. It's a blank slate right now, so let's fill it up S.U.P.E.R. fans!

Hey guys!

You'll be pleased to know the next chapter of S.U.P.E.R. is currently halfway converted into prose, and hopefully it will be finished in the next week or two.

Until then, I've noticed it's been a while since I've done any streams, and I remember having a lot of fun doing a Halloween one a couple of years ago, so I'd like to do another.
Basically how it would go down is we would watch a Halloween-themed movie on the stream (maybe even 2 if time allows) while chatting and just enjoying each other's company, like we used to do. I already have a couple movies in mind that I would love to show you!

However, as I'm working, my schedule's a little tight when it comes to nights I'll have the duration and privacy to do such a stream. The ideal time for me to do this stream would likely be Monday night, October 26.
How does that time sound for everyone? We can try to figure something else out, but as I've said my schedule's kinda tight and I'm not free on the weekends.

I'd love to get everyone together and have some fun once again, so I hope everyone can make it!

...that my random "Wet Dream" story has more than twice as many views as the last chapter of "S.U.P.E.R."

For now, though, we have a couple more questions for you all regarding what kind of content you would like to see from us.

First, one of our writers likes to plan out the layouts of building interiors for his stories, and this project is no exception. It's just something he always ends up visualizing, and we're curious to know if anyone here would be interested in knowing or seeing that kind of thing. This would likely involve images uploaded to the database giving you the layouts of places such as Cain's Super Stars Daycare and the Dwelling 2.0.
Let us know what you think of the idea!

Second, that same writer also likes to assign opening and ending theme songs to his work, and again, this project's no exception. For a while now, we've actually been contemplating what these themes could be, and we're developing a sort of list.
We'd like to know if you'd like us to share these themes, and perhaps even help us choose between them. If so, let us know what the best way to do that would be. A journal/poll? A database entry listing all prospective themes? Please let us know!

I don't often remember my dreams. Sometimes when I do, they aren't very special or prominent.
This time, however, I had a dream the other night that I recalled clearly and that clearly stuck out to me. I'd like to describe it to you all and see what you think of it.


To start, I'm either watching or fantasizing about some Super Mario koopaling AR episode or sequence that I'm not sure exists but I swear I've seen before. It involved a blue-haired character saying whatever the other characters were going to do wasn't good idea, and what I believe was a regressed Yoshi or just a regular toony dinosaur. Other koopalings were involved in some way, either just there or also regressed.
[ This sort of makes sense to me, as I've only just recently seen the Fountain of Youth episode of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show from the 80s. But the character designs, with the exception of that Yoshi/dinosaur, didn't match that source material. ]

Afterward, we cut to someone waking up at a desk in a library that would be completely dark without the mid-day sunlight bursting through large windows, making most of the library sort of blue-ish. I assume this person is me; I felt a connection to it, and I felt like its actions were mine. An older man calls my name and I turn to him. "Why are you here?" he says. I reply "for a summer job?" I assume I'm working there already. He laughs and says "you don't belong here."
[ I found this sequence interesting because I have an English degree, and therefore I would definitely belong in a library job. However, I am currently in a job I am overly qualified for that pays minimum wage. I took the job because I needed the money and that was the only position that got me an interview and ultimately the job; everything else I applied for and might have been better suited for wasn't making progress fast enough. I feel like this sequence was telling me about the job I'm currently in, and the mentioning of a summer job supports that theory, but the setting of the library confuses me. ]

I get up and walk away. Suddenly one of my real-life friends/roommates is there and we go explore the massive library together. We find lots of things, many being likely fictional books by furry artists I recognized. The most prominent ones in my mind were something by Wen and a book called "I'm a Badger?" by Kay Fedewa, who made the BlackBlood Alliance comics. I DO belong in this library! There were also a multitude of Lion King books, which I assume were fake as well. But it was all of these things I would get excited about, but would reveal my interest in the furry fandom to my friend/roommate.
[ My mind apparently likes to create images of fake games, movies, and books for me in store scenarios. It's happened in the past where I was in a video store and saw cases for "Balto 4: The Return of Fluke", and in another dream when I saw a big box collector's edition for "Five Nights at Freddy's 2". I haven't been able to pin-point the reason, though. ]
[ As for my friend/roommate, I've known him since high school but he doesn't really know about the furry side of me, and I don't really want him to find out. I fear if he did, we would cease to be friends. I have been contemplating this in my mind recently when considering risking something drastic on my end. ]


So that was that dream. What do you guys think?

Also, last night, I had a dream that I rented a $1200 laptop...which was weird. I would never rent a laptop.

The next chapter/issue of our main story has nearly been RPed to completion, and the conversion to prose is in the same place. If all goes well, it will be uploaded in the next week or two.

"Fire Fox"
Very soon, we will be introducing another story that takes place in the S.U.P.E.R. universe. If "S.U.P.E.R." is the fun and light-hearted side of our world, then this next story is its dark and cynical counterpart. As such, the story will contain NO Baby Fur or Diaper Fur content, which is good news for our normal superhero/comic fans! As for our other fans, don't worry. "Fire Fox" will connect with the "S.U.P.E.R." characters in a later installment, and there your desired Baby/Diaper Fur content will reappear. If you are following our stories on Fur Affinity, then please be aware that this new story will be uploaded onto the ~FreshStartWithABrokenHeart account, not ~JxAxP as "S.U.P.E.R." has been. On DeviantArt, this new story will be uploaded to ~SUPERcubs as usual, so no need to look elsewhere! Also, know that this is the story that will use the playlist YOU all chose in our poll!

The Database Gets a Baby Boom!
Our Database kept within our DeviantArt gallery is about to grow with the addition of our baby superheroes! They will come complete with all sorts of information, even what kind of diapers they wear!
Look forward to their addition in the next few days.

Expanding the S.U.P.E.R. Universe
This time, we're talking expansion of a different sort. We have been considering different ways to have a greater online presence, and we have a couple of solutions.
First, we are considering making a Twitter account dedicated to the S.U.P.E.R. universe, that will come complete with fun facts about the characters and even being able to briefly interact with each one via messaging. We already have a dedicated email to assign the account to, so all that's really left to obtain is a confirmation from you all!
Second, we are considering making an entire website dedicated to the S.U.P.E.R. universe! This would make a better home for our Database, and could possibly even become a sort of wiki for the world as well! One account is only good for holding so much, but with our own website the possibilities are endless! As our writers are already proficient with it, the website will be made using the free online maker known as Wix. Once confirmed by you and completed, the website will of course be linked here, and vice-versa.

Regarding myself, FA has just been TOO good for me to ever leave it. Unless something REALLY bad happens, I won't be leaving this site any time soon.

However, I do also have a Weasyl account that isn't very developed, and I also have several DeviantArt accounts (I honestly don't get why people keep trying to find new sites when none of them will ever be as good as DA).
I spend a lot of time on DA now as well as here, so if anything happens progress will continue there as it always has.

So, to sum up...

I'm also on DeviantArt like I've always been, since way before joining FA.
I'm on Weasyl, but barely.

The BIGGEST assignment of my semester is due tomorrow, and I'm kinda scrambling to finish it tonight.
